William Lowe

William "Wild Bill" Lowe of Shawnee died Monday in Shawnee. He was 75.

He was born Aug. 19, 1925, in Bridgeport, Ala., the son of William Robert Macklin and Bertha Mae (Brown) Lowe.

Lowe lived most of his life in Shawnee and lived in Checotah for 15 years before returning to Shawnee in 1998.

He married Wanda Stott in 1968.

Mr. Lowe drove gas trucks for Stephens Oil Co. for many years.

He then worked for Oklahoma Baptist University before retiring.

Mr. Lowe served the U.S. Navy and was a World War II veteran.

He was a member of the VFW Post No. 1316 in Shawnee.

He was preceded in death by his parents and grandparents who raised him, Matthew and Rebecca Brown.

Survivors include his wife Wanda Lowe of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Doris Rose, Reta and James Oznick of Gilbert, Ariz., and Glenda and Gary Garner of Dale; stepsons and daughter-in-law, Stanley Stott of Wichita, Kan., and Allen and Donna Stott of Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Tracy Knott, Jerry Garner, Randy Garner, Jason Garner, Shane Beck, Morgan King, Justin Coffman, Jenifer Marie Stott and Shawn Allen Stott; five great-grandchildren, brothers, James Sumner, Johnny Sumner, Joe Sumner and James Lowe; and sisters, Marie Weeks and Bobbie Bright.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Green Lawn Cemetery, Checotah. Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

The family will receive friends 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Johnie W. Henderson

Johnie W. Henderson of Newalla died Saturday. He was 79.

He was born to John and Louisa (Fields) Henderson on March 17, 1921, in Adell. He was the youngest of six children.

Mr. Henderson married Elsie (Churchwell) on Aug. 4, 1941, at the Oklahoma County Courthouse in Oklahoma City. He served as a worshipful master of the McLoud Masonic Lodge No. 126 in 1957.

He was a 32nd degree Mason at McAlester.

Mr. Henderson was an active member of the First Baptist Church in Newalla.

He retired from Tinker Air Force Base in 1971 to assist in the D&D Feed Store at Newalla, which is owned by his son, Delbert.

He was preceded in death by his two brothers, three sisters and parents.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years Elsie; son and daughter-in-law, Delbert and Dolly; two granddaughters and their spouses, Sheila Childers and husband, Jeff, and their two daughters, Lacey and Logan, and Sonja Malaske and husband, Scott, and their two sons, Baylen and Brayden John and many friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at the First Baptist Church in Newalla with burial at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery located in Newalla. Arrangements directed by Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Cecil Franklin Meyers

Cecil Franklin Meyers died Saturday in Chandler. He was 78.

He was born Sept. 14, 1922, in Leede, Okla., the son of Charles and Rosabell (Tibbett) Meyers.

He lived north of Chandler for many years and owned Cecil Meyers Grocery. He attended the River of Life Church in Stillwater.

He was preceded in death his parents, two wives, son, sister and four brothers.

Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Karla and Danny Davis of Stillwater; two sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Janet Post of Carney and Dean and Dolly Turner of Abilene, Texas; three grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Bo Gibbs officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

Caroline Christie Mascho

Caroline Christie Mascho died Saturday in Chandler. She was 44.

She was born Dec. 19, 1956, in Vancouver, B.C., the daughter of Francis and Margaret (Goble) Lyons.

She married Tim Mascho on Sept. 20, 1996, in Eureka Spring, Ark. She taught school in California and at Little Axe and Harrah.

She was a active member of the First Assembly of God Church in Chandler.

She was preceded in death by her father.

Survivors include her husband Tim Mascho of Chandler; daughters, Sarah Phelps of Chandler, Valerie Wallis of Chandler; two stepsons, Clint Mascho of Chandler; Derek Mascho of Chandler; mother, Margaret Lyons of Ojai, Calif.; sisters and brothers-in-law, Peggy and Mitch Fox of Santa Paula, Calif.; Wendy Lyons of Ojai, Calif.; brother and sister-in-law, Joey and Eva Lyons of Ventura, Calif.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at the First Assembly of God Church in Chandler with the Rev. Doyle Seeley officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Park Cemetery in Chandler, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

Ronald Peter Bohl

Ronald Peter Bohl, former Oklahoma City resident, died Monday in Thousand Oaks, Calif. He was 50.

Services are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service at Prague.

Frances Esther Wood Clift

Lifelong McLoud resident Frances Esther Wood Clift died Sunday at the age of 78.

She was born Aug. 18, 1922, in McLoud, the daughter of Robert and Grace (Vaughn) Wood. She graduated from McLoud schools, where she later served as a teacher's aide. She also was a piano and music teacher.

Mrs. Clift was a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Survivors are her son, Gerald Edward Clift of Tennessee; her sister, Minnie Nowakowski of Harrah; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at McLoud Pentecostal Holiness Church with burial at Riverside Cemetery of McLoud. Arrangements are under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service, Harrah.

Cecil Allen Moore

Cecil Allen Moore, Seminole, died Wednesday at a Shawnee hospital. He was 84.

He was born Aug. 26, 1914, in Pawnee to G.W. and Josephine (Allen) Moore. He moved to Seminole in 1929 and was married to Uela (Arthur) Moore. He was a Mason, a Baptist, a mechanic, and a cattle rancher.

He was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Mike Moore, Howard Moore, and Lloyd Moore.

Surviving is his wife, Uela Moore, Lindsay; a sister and brother-in-law, Flossie and Raymond Spoonemore, Seminole; nephew and wife, Arthur and Joan Moore, Lindsay; nephew Cecil and wife, Joann Spoonemore, Seminole; and Larry and wife, Jeannie, Spoonemore of Seminole; numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews and numerous friends.

Services are 2 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Carl Whitfield and the Rev. Robert Hightower officiating. Burial is at Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Kimberly Jean Howard

Kimberly Jean Howard died Tuesday in Stroud. She was 30.

Mrs. Howard was born July 16, 1968, in Ulysses, Kan., to Francis Lloyd and Roxanna (Smith) Young. She married Johnny Howard on July 25, 1993, in Ulysses, Kan.

She worked for LaGere and Walkingstick Insurance Agency in Chandler. She was a member of the Business and Professional Women of Chandler and NHRA Racing Association.

Survivors include her husband, Johnny Howard, of the home; stepdaughter, Ciara Branch, Ulysses, Kan.; her parents, Francis Lloyd and Roxanna Young, Ulysses, Kan.; one brother, Larry Young, Fayetteville, N.C.; one grandfather, Jack Smith, Caney, Kan.; and many other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather and two grandmothers.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Chandler. Burial will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Eltha Reese Cemetery, Barnsdall, with the Rev. Jack Smith officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Mid-American Drag Way in Arkansas City, Kan.

Alpha McBeth

Shawnee resident Alpha McBeth died Tuesday at a local hospital. She was 69.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Robert Ingram officiating.

Mrs. McBeth was born Aug. 29, 1929, to John and Al Goma (Stevens) Dodson. She married Robert E. Lee McBeth.

She was raised in Cromwell and had lived in Shawnee for the past 12 years. She was a member of the Church of the Living God.

Survivors include her two daughters, Nola McBeth, Shawnee; Mary Barker, Riverdale, Ga.; six grandchildren, Ronald J. Ash, Brandi Michelle Ash, Roni Novelle Barker, Kathryn Denise Barker and Leslee Jay Barker; two great-grandchildren, Amber Nicole Morin and L.J. Morin; three sisters, Irene Churchwell, Shawnee; Lois Brown, Phoenix, Ariz.; Jewel Wallace, Surprise, Ariz.; eight brothers, Bill Dodson, Seminole; Billy Dodson, Boyce Dodson and Jamie Dodson, all of Cromwell; Bobby Dodson and Archie Dodson, both of Phoenix, Ariz.; Johnny Dodson, Eufaula; and Edward Dodson, Checotah.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Junior Lee McBeth; and one brother, A.J. Dodson.

Frances K. Decker

Frances K. Decker died Monday in Seminole County. She was 84.

Mrs. Decker was born Dec. 2, 1914, to Michael and Frances Rose (Horinek) Decker.

She had been a resident of Seminole County since her retirement in 1977. She attended Seminole Public Schools and graduated from Prairie Valley High School.

She later graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a master's degree in education. She taught schools at Lone Star, Seminole Elementary, the Standard Oil Co. school in Negutas, Peru, and Wichita Falls, Texas. She retired from teaching in Tulsa.

She was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole, the Catholic Daughters of America and many Catholic leagues.

Survivors include her two brothers, Joe Decker and Jim Decker, both of the home; five sisters, Mary Hair, Duncan; Rose Drescher, Oklahoma City; Ann Rogers, McLeon, Va.; Louise Plumley, Denver, Colo.; Margaret May, Oxnard, Calif.; and many other relatives.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one brother, Frank; and two sisters, Matilda and Agnes.

Visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Prague, until 4 p.m. Thursday. Rosary will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel, Seminole. Funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Seminole, with the Rev. Basil Keenan, O.S.B. officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Shawnee, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague.

Memorials may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole and St. Gregory's University Scholarship Fund in Shawnee.

Libby Kate Grogan Hodge

Konawa resident Libby Kate Grogan Hodge died Tuesday in Midwest City. She was 88.

Mrs. Hodge was born March 24, 1910, in Konawa to Rosa Lee and John T. Grogan. She married Herbert Hodge on Sept. 1, 1925, in Ada.

She was a sales person and was a member of the Konawa United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Linda Hodge, Midwest City; daughter and son-in-law, Marie and Jack Forcum, Okemah; daughter-in-law, Norma Hodge, Quinlan, Texas; sister, Nell Burnett, Greenwood, Ind.; eight grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Ted Hodge; one grandson, Stanley Hodge; three brothers; and one sister, Demple Adams.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Pickard Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Pam Shirk officiating. Burial will be at Vamoosa Cemetery.
