Lillian Maxine Martin

Lillian Maxine Martin, 81, of the Prague-Paden area, died Friday in Shawnee.

She was born March 27, 1920, in Terlton, Okla., to Urey Cleveland and Ethel Lena (McDaniel) Storm. She had lived in the Prague and Paden area since 1956.

On April 9, 1938, she married Charles Edward Martin in Cleveland, Okla., and he preceded her in death on Dec. 7, 1994.

She was a homemaker and a member of the Paden Holiness Church.

She also was preceded in death by her parents, her aunt and uncle who raised her, two brothers, two sisters and two grandsons.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Ethel and Tommy Toliver, Sapulpa; Ann and C.L. Bullard, Prague; Janet and Luke DuPuy, Jacksonville, Fla.; six sisters-in-law, nine grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Prague, with the Rev. Keith Vaughn and Paul Heard officiating. Burial will follow in Paden Cemetery.

Donna Jean Green

Donna Jean Green, 55, died Friday at her Meeker home.

She was born March 22, 1946, in Concho, Okla., to Harry Eugene and Lillian (Windemaker) Wakole. On Dec. 18, 1984, she married Charlie Green in Meeker.

Mrs. Green, who had lived in Meeker for 17 years, previously lived in Shawnee. She was a nurse's aide.

She was preceded in death by her father and a sister.

Survivors include her husband, Charles "Charlie" Green, Meeker; mother, Lillian Wakole, Shawnee; two sons, Chris Green, Meeker; Jerry Green, Shawnee; daughter-in-law, Liz Green, Wilburton; seven sisters, Irene McClellan, Lois Washington and Charlotte Lane, all of Shawnee; Dorothy Bohannan, Santa Rosa, Calif.; Thelma Wilcox, Meeker; Freda West, Hutchison, Kan.; Esther Armitage, Sonora, Texas; three brothers, Lowell Wakole, Earlsboro; Delbert Wakole and Gary Wakole, both of Shawnee; two grandsons, Trey Green and Hunter Green, both of Wilburton.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church, Meeker, with Leon Williams officiating. Burial will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service, Prague.

Loyce M. (Watson) Tucker

Loyce M. (Watson) Tucker, Orlando, Fla., died Tuesday in Edmond. She was 95.

She was the daughter of E.M. Watson Sr. and F.L. Watson.

Preceding her in death were her parents; two brothers, Theodore Watson and Emanuel "Nat" Watson; and sisters, Faye Goldthwaite and Myrtle Graham.

Survivors include her sisters, Lylah Hankins of Cleveland, Ohio, and Johnetta N. Barber of Shawnee; her nephew and his wife, Kenneth C. and Rita Watson, Edmond, as well as many other nieces and nephews.

Services will be held Wednesday at Shiloh Baptist Church in Orlando, Fla.

Charles Floyd Pendergraff

Charles Floyd Pendergraff, 65, Agra, died Monday at a Tulsa hospital.

Born Sept. 9, 1935, in Shady Point, Okla., he was the son of Floyd "Bill" and Ida (Monks) Pendergraff. He received his early education at Shady Point and was a 1955 graduate of Panama High School.

On Dec. 10, 1956, he married Barbara Kearns in Ochelata, Okla. The couple have lived in Agra since 1968.

Pendergraff worked for Reda Pump, Safeway and Midland-Hudson Oil Refinery, from which he retired after an on-the-job injury. He served on the Agra Fire Department, water department and the town board.

Preceding him in death were his parents and brother, Jerry Pendergraff.

Survivors include his wife, Barbara Pendergraff of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Gearld and Cindy Pendergraff of Agra, Gary and Dorothy Pendergraff of Tulsa and Ronald Pendergraff of Agra; daughter and son-in-law, Anita and Bob Starling of Woodward; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Nell Pendergraff of Dewey; sister and brother-in-law, Jean and Pete O'Dell of Barnsdall, Okla.; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Services were held Thursday at Tryon First Assembly of God Church. Burial was at Ochelata (Okla.) Cemetery. The Rev. Lorn Starling will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Palmer Funeral Home of Cushing.

James Dahl Hester

James Dahl Hester, 71, Tulsa, died Friday.

He was born May 30, 1929, in Van Buren, Ark., to L.D. and Avrie (Barnes) Hester.

Hester, who served in the U.S. Marine Corps during the Korean conflict, was an automobile salesman for many years.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Louie; and grandson, Brent.

Survivors include his daughter, Pam Weathers, Shawnee; son and daughter-in-law, Ron and Jean Hester, Shawnee; four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Butch Hester, Vernon and Shirley Hester and Rex and Ruby Hester, all of Tulsa; Harold and Sue Hester, Loyalton, Calif.; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda Hester and Ray Hopkins, Tulsa; grandchildren, Brandie, Brittany and Jason; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Rose Hill Funeral Home Chapel, Tulsa, with burial following at 3 p.m. at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee.

Dale Levern Kelly

Thomas resident Dale Levern Kelly died Tuesday at an Oklahoma City hospital. He was 57.

Kelly was born July 7, 1942, in DeRidder, La., to Walter E. and Anna Mae (Lemmon) Kelly. He married Barbara Sue Riley July 25, 1962, in Cordell.

He had lived in Cordell, Maud and Wichita, Kan. He was a custodian and a Baptist.

Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Leon Kelly, Jackie Vaughn Kelly and Johnny Wayne Kelly, all of Wichita; daughter, Lora Ann Black, Wichita; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sharon and Everett Mullin, Checotah; Dorothy and Joe Cain, Hinton; six grandchildren and many other relatives.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. John Bellah officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.

David Lee Ragsdale

Meeker resident David Lee Ragsdale died Wednesday in Shawnee. He was 49.

Ragsdale was born Sept. 11, 1950, in Chandler to Oliver Dalton and Margie Bell (Grandstaff) Ragsdale. He graduated from Star Spencer High School.

He was a longtime Lincoln County resident and Meeker resident since 1981. He was supervisor of the water department for Meeker. He had also worked for the Spencer Police Department, the Lincoln County Sheriff's Office and spent eight years as chief of police in Meeker. He also served in the U.S. Air Force Reserve at Tinker Air Force Base as a military policeman.

Survivors include his son, David Andrew "Andy" Ragsdale, McLoud; daughter and son-in-law, Carmalieta Marie "Carmie" and Mark Holloway, Yukon; parents, Oliver and Marie Ragsdale, Spencer; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Don Allen and Sherry Ragsdale, Seminole; Troy Dale and Cindy Ragsdale and Doyle Ray and Barbara Ragsdale, all of Spencer; one granddaughter, Hannah Nicole Holloway, Yukon.

Visitation will be at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Prague. Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Prague, with the Rev. Jim Blair officiating. Burial will follow in Star Valley Cemetery.

Woodrow Wilson Stapp

Woodrow Wilson Stapp died Thursday at Okmulgee Memorial Hospital. He was 82.

Stapp was born April 29, 1917, in Pink to P.K. Stapp and Dora Wilson Stapp. As a child, he moved with his family to the Hot Water community north of Dustin. In 1941, he was married to Willine Hill. They moved to Wetumka in the mid-1940s. He moved to Henryetta in December 1998. He was a farmer and rancher.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Karen Stapp, Wetumka; Richard and Sandy Stapp, Shawnee; daughter and son-in-law, JoAnn and Kenneth Jones, Dewar; half brother, James Stapp, Oklahoma City; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, one great-great-granddaughter and many other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Buckley Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Finis Pack officiating. Burial will be in Wetumka Cemetery under the direction of Williamson Funeral Home.

James H. Harvey

Shawnee resident James H. Harvey died Tuesday in Norman. He was 80.

He was born May 25, 1919, in Cushing, the son of James Harlen Boneapart and Mary Agnes (Jones) Harvey.

He married Ida E. (Omey) Harvey on July 29, 1939, in Pauls Valley.

He was a retired truck driver and had worked for the past 10 years for Miller Trucking Co. in Stroud.

Harvey was a veteran of World War II, and a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and Liberty Baptist Church.

He had lived in Shawnee for the past 20 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Ida Harvey; parents, James Boneapart and Mary Agnes Harvey; two sisters; and four brothers.

Survivors include his three daughters, Sylvia Harvey, Shawnee; Peggy Parker, Arkansas; and Shelia Tovar, Shawnee; four grandchildren, Devona Powell, Kenny Parker, Michael Green and Zabrinna Myers; and seven great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Veterans Administration Hospital, 921 N.E. 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK.

Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Liberty Baptist Church, with the Rev. Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park, under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home, Shawnee.

Cleveland Woody

Cleveland Woody, Stroud, died Tuesday in Stroud. He was 94.

Woody was born June 3, 1905, in Marietta, the son of Alex and Fannie Gaines.

He married Catherine (West) Woody in 1925. She preceded him in death. He married Artice (Lyons) Woody on March 2, 1941, in Creek County.

Woody was retired from Stroud General Hospital and had worked as a barber for 80 years.

He was a member of the Garden Addition Baptist Church in Oklahoma City.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alex and Fannie Gaines; a son; and two daughters.

Survivors include seven sons, Calvin, Curtis and Claude Woody, all of Oklahoma City; Cledell Woody, Stroud; Cecil Woody, Canada; Column Woody, Lexington; Conway Woody, Wichita, Kan.; five daughters, Helen Woody and Cleolla Howard, both of Stroud; Carrie Tubbs, Oklahoma City; Carolyn Washington, Wichita, Kan.; Clorett Youngblood, Cushing; two sisters, Helen Asher, Oklahoma City; Eddress Moore, California; 26 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Friday.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday, at the C.B. Wright Auditorium at Stroud High School, with the Rev. Claude Woody officiating.

Burial will be in Stroud Cemetery, under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Stroud.

Ollie Clifton Windon

Ollie Clifton Windon, Meeker, died Tuesday in Shawnee. He was 69.

Windon was born April 1, 1930, in Sophia, W.Va., to Ollie C. and Ollie Mae (Perkins) Windon.

He married Betty Lou Schrader on Aug. 20, 1997.

He worked as a railroad engineer and as a security guard for an Oklahoma City bank.

Windon was a member of the Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker.

He was preceded in death by his first wife, Peggy (Bettis) Windon; his parents, Ollie C. and Ollie Mae Windon; a brother; and a sister.

Survivors include his wife, Betty Lou Windon, of the home; a son, Ollie Windon; two stepsons, Steve Phillips, Bullshead, Ariz.; Rob Phillips, Joplin, Mo.; two stepdaughters, Barbara Walden, Del City; Crystal Lorance, Macomb; a brother and sister-in-law, Lancy and Susie Windon, Sophia, W.Va.; two sisters, Gaynel Ratcliff, Sophia, W.Va.; Lazonia Bowen, California; a brother-in-law, Buster Bettis, of the home; niece, Crystal Gayle Messinger; and eight stepgrandchildren.

Visitation will be until noon today at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel, Prague.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at Living Waters Tabernacle in Meeker, with the Rev. Donna Morton officiating.

Burial will be in New Hope Cemetery.
