Minnie Lois Lee
Minnie Lois Lee of Tecumseh died Monday at the age of 89.
Lee is survived by two sisters; Helen Powell and Leck Clark, both of Lawton; 14 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

The graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Lawton with Bill Busbee officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Lawton Ritter Gray Funeral Home.

Jerry Lee Bates
Jerry Lee Bates of Oklahoma City died Wednesday in Moore. He was 54.
Surviving are his wife, Elizabeth "Berri" Bates, Oklahoma City; two daughters and one son-in-law, Kathi Bates of Oklahoma City and Glenda and Stan Quinn of Oklahoma City; three sons, Jerry Lee Bates Jr., Midwest City, Michael Bates of Shawnee; Jason Bates of Shawnee; two sisters, Virginia Hampton and Nina Fay Delrosario; and one brother, George Davie.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Baggerley-South Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Wellston Cemetery under the direction of Baggerley-South Funeral Home.

Xavier Lee Ortiz
Four-month-old Xavier Lee Ortiz, Oklahoma City, died Friday at his home.

He is survived by his mother, Crystal Ortiz; two brothers, Cordell Ortiz and Ruben Ortiz of the home; grandparents, Linda Phillips of Oklahoma City and Freddie and Rhonda Ortiz of Shawnee; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Sunnylane Cemetery in Del City officiated by Joe Grooms of Shawnee's Day Star Bible Baptist Church.

Burial will follow under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, Del City.

Don Alexander
Don Alexander, 65, of Shawnee died Friday at his home.

He was born Oct. 8, 1937, in Shawnee to Carl and Opal Alexander.

He graduated from Shawnee High School and attended Central State University in Edmond and East Central State University in Ada.

He worked for Pepsi Cola Company and Sylvania.

He was a member of the Liberty Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his father; sister, Lenora Jane Waldridge; and brother, Delbert Leroy Alexander.

Survivors include his mother, Opal Alexander of Shawnee; daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and David Sayler of Ponca City and Dena and Bruce Foreman of Cleveland, Texas; and three grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Glenn Carter officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Kimberly Ann Thomas
Kimberly Ann (Duncan) Thomas, 37, of Konawa died Friday at an Ada hospital.

Survivors include a life-long friend, Melody Sharver, of the home, and family members, Quennion Sharver, David and Virginia Sharver, Jamie and Aaliyah Sharver, Leallen Sharver and W.C. Sharver.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Saint Louis with Glenn Peck officiating. Burial will follow at Vamoosa Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.

Allan Ray Tiger
Allan Ray Tiger, 38, of Aurora, Colo. and formerly of Seminole County, died Wednesday at his home in Aurora.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy; brothers, Malcolm Tiger of Holdenville, Glen Tiger of Seminole; sisters, Leona "Sugar" Tiger of Shawnee and Billy-Louise Scott of Shawnee, Maureen Tiger of Holdenville, Madeline Trusty of Denver, Clara "Goode" Tiger of Denver and Betty Tiger of Oklahoma City; stepchildren and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Wake services will be at 6:30 p.m. Monday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel. He will be moved to Middle Creek No. 2 Baptist Church at 9 a.m. Tuesday, and the funeral service will be at 1 p.m. with the Rev. Steve Holata and the Rev. Redmond Wolfe officiating. Burial will follow at Middle Creek No. 2 Baptist Church Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.

Louise G. Brown
Louise G. Brown, 79, of Shawnee died Friday at a local hospital. Services will be announced by Walker Funeral Service.

Ruybe Jo Henson
Ruybe Jo Henson, 91, formerly of McLoud, died Saturday in Grove.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church of McLoud.

Further arrangements will be announced by Walker Funeral Service.

Stephen Digby Bell
Stephen Digby Bell, 51, of Shawnee died Friday at a local nursing home.

He was born Oct. 17, 1951, in Fayetteville, Ark., to Digby Bernard and Elsie (Cook) Bell.

He lived in Norman most of his life and graduated from Norman High School.

Bell earned a bachelor's degree in chemical engineering from the University of Oklahoma.

Bell retired from Tinker Air Force Base, where he was employed as a chemist.

He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

He was a member of the American Philatelic Society.

Bell was preceded in death by his mother, Elsie, who died in 1984, and his grandparents.

Survivors include his father and stepmother, Digby B. and Carol Ann Bell of Shawnee; brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Clare Bell of Columbus, Ohio; and stepsister and brother-in-law, Elisabeth and Kenneth Beddow of Pauls Valley; two nephews, David Bell and Thomas Bell, both of Columbus; and two nieces, Megan Bell of Columbus and Julia Beddow of Pauls Valley.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church in Shawnee with the Rev. Paul Calmes officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. at IOOF Cemetery in Norman.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th, Oklahoma City, OK 73104.

Ollie Mae Akins
Ollie Mae Akins, 89, of Meeker died Friday in Shawnee.

She was born May 6, 1913, in Meeker, the daughter of Anderson Lafayette and Amanda Adeline (White) Brown.

She married Montague "Monty" Akins on April 20, 1933. He preceded her in death in June 1986.

Akins was a homemaker and was retired from Meeker Manufacturing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Meeker.

Also preceding her in death were her daughter, Mary Sue Akins, four brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include daughters and a son-in-law, Barbara Drew of Shawnee and Mona and John Ray of Shawnee; sisters-in-law, Tressie Brown of Meeker and Vivian Akins of Davis, Calif.; grandchildren, Monte Moore, Tracey Moore, Kevin Moore, Karl Moore, Stuart Ray, Steven Ray; 19 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Meeker with the Rev. Clint Dawkins officiating.

Burial will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Meeker.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Royal Rider
Royal Rider, 88, of Mont Rose, Colo., and formerly of Macomb, died Thursday in Mont Rose.

He was born March 12, 1914, in Macomb to Clyde and Cora (Barnett) Rider.

He attended school at OK Schools.

Rider lived in the Macomb area, moving to Colorado in 1943.

He served with the U.S. Army during World War II in Italy.

Rider was married to Mary Rider.

He was a rancher and farmer. While living in Colorado, he worked for a potato grower for many years, retiring in 1980.

Rider attended the Assembly of God.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter; and two brothers.

Survivors include a brother, the Rev. Robert Rider of Tecumseh; many other brothers and sisters; three daughters, four sons, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and several cousins and other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Mont Rose Funeral Home.

Arrangements are under the direction of Mont Rose Funeral Home.

Queen Elizabeth Bean
Queen Elizabeth Bean, 93, of Chandler died Tuesday in Chandler.

Survivors include a daughter, Ladonia Mayfield of Midwest City; five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Chandler with the Rev. Lee Lewis officiating. Burial will follow in the Clearview Cemetery in Chandler.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Services of Chandler.

Douglas Charles Hammer
Douglas "Doug" Charles Hammer, 58, of Carlton, Minn., died Feb. 13 in Superior, Wis.
A memorial service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at the Shawnee VFW Post No. 1317, 811 E. MacArthur.

An earlier memorial service was held Sunday in Cloquet, Mary C. White.

Tamera Jo Loyd
Tamera Jo Loyd of Kellyville, Okla., died Tuesday in Seminole. She was 19.
Survivors are her father and stepmother, Jimmy and Angie Loyd of Summerfield, Okla.; mother Terry Akins of Kellyville; stepfather John Brinsfield of Seminole; maternal grandparents, Floyd and Sharon Wilson of Newalla; maternal grandmother, Jo Ann Wilson of Oklahoma City; paternal grandmother, Dorothy Loyd of Cove Ark.; one brother, James Akins of Kellyville; two sisters, Timber Akins of Kellyville, and Shawna Loyd of Summerfield; one stepsister, Vicky White of Summerfield; and many family and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole with the Rev. Mike Buckley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery of Wewoka.

George T. Nail
George T. Nail of Tecumseh died Wednesday at the age of 96.

He was born Nov. 11, 1905, in McClain County to James Manuel and Alice (Davis) Nail.

Nail was a farmer and worked as a foreman for an asphalt company.

He was a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Nail was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Surviving are four sons and daughters-in-law, James and Billie Nail of Shawnee; Eugene and Pauline Nail of Asher; Clayton and Edith Nail of Shawnee; Glenn and Helen Nail of Wanette; and daughter and son-in-law, Geneva and Cecil Franklin of Yamhill, Ore.; 16 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 10 great-great-grandchildren, two sisters; Ethel Thomason of California and Bessie Wiggins of Eufaula.

Services be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Wanette Cemetery with the Rev. Archie Beller and Rev. James McCalip officiating.
