Alan D. Miller
The Rev. Alan D. Miller of Shawnee died Sunday at Integris Baptist Hospital in Oklahoma City. He was 59.

He was born Feb. 27, 1944, in Seminole County to Alec Dixie Miller and Irene Cornelius Miller. He was of the Ocese Band and Beaver Clan of the Seminole Nation. He married Carol Ann Ell on Nov. 29, 1967.

He served in the U.S. Marine Corps from Sept. 13, 1961, to Jan. 17, 1966.

He attended school in Strother, Shawnee and Tecumseh, receiving his GED in Oakland, Calif. He graduated from aircraft mechanic school in June 1967 and was an aircraft mechanic until he entered college. He graduated from San Francisco State College in 1975 with a degree in social sciences.

He attended law school at Oklahoma City University and in Albuquerque, N.M.

He was in the PBS documentary "Alcatraz is Not an Island" and he worked for the Seminole Nation of Oklahoma for several years and was vice chief from September 1982 through 1986.

He was licensed to preach by the Rev. Bill Barnett from First Indian Baptist Church in Seminole. He was ordained March 13, 1998, by the Rev. Dan Factor from Akasvmkv Baptist Church in Wewoka. He and his wife were missionaries to the Seminole Tribe of Florida on the Brighton Riverside. He was pastor at Faith Baptist Church in Dustin from March 2000 to December 2002.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Billy Joe Miller; sisters, Francis Miller Pecore, Kathy Nina Miller, Pauline Miller and Baby Miller.

Survivors include his wife, Carol Miller, of the home; grandson, Brandon Ehologee, of the home; sons, Alvin D. Miller, Alex D. Miller and Milan T. Ricker, all of Shawnee; daughters, Angela D. Miller-Salceda of Seminole, Andrea D. Mitchell Miller of Tecumseh and Anna M. Miller of Shawnee; brothers, George C. Miller of Aurora, Colo.; Josey D. Miller of Shawnee; Joaquin Miller of Shawnee; sisters, Martha L. Mooney of Seminole, Josephine Miller of Shawnee, Karen Sue Miller of Seminole; grandchildren, Jacob, Taryn Pak-se and Laurin Kococum-'PV McGeisey, Ellic Tustvnuk-ke Rakke and Raven Miller, Samson Miles Fixico, Hunter-Alexis Miller, Brandon Ehologee and Marty Iyo Terronez, Michael Ecohutke Haney, T-Anna Rey Fus-Cate Lena, Daniel Albert Rafo-hakaf, Autumn Oske, Essiah Tahokne and Alexis Caroline Mitchell, and many other relatives.

Visitation will be at the family home today. The body will be moved to Snake Creek Baptist Church, north of Seminole, at 5:30 p.m., with a wake service at 7 p.m.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Dan Factor and the Rev. Bill Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Snake Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka.

W.J. Ainsworth
W.J. Ainsworth, 75, of Konawa died Saturday at St. Anthony Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife, Lela (Russell) Ainsworth, of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Vickie Jan and Billy Don Kennedy of Konawa and Janetta Jay Ainsworth of Konawa; two brothers, George Ray Ainsworth of Huntington, Ark., and Henry Dale Ainsworth of Cortez, Colo.; four sisters, Melba Ellen Risner of Keller, Texas, Wanda Sue Davis of Oklahoma City, Oma Jo Hill of Tuttle and Joy Ann Phelps of Oklahoma City; two grandsons; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of other family and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at the Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Mitch Williams officiating.

Stella Davis Dalton
Stella Davis Dalton, 95, Tulsa, died Sunday in a Tulsa nursing home.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Jay and Susan Dalton, Tulsa; two daughters and sons-in-law, Don and Tina Vaughan, Houston, Texas, and Arnold and June Baxter, Oklahoma City.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Glen Pence officiating. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Kelly Leon Kean
Seminole resident Kelly Leon Kean, 32, died Monday, Feb. 23, in Seminole County.

Service will be 2 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Wade Robertson officiating. Burial will be at Little Cemetery. Swearingen Funeral Home is directing arrangements.

Myrle Harlin
Former Tecumseh resident Myrle Harlin, 79, died Friday, March 26, in Edmond.

He was born July 18, 1924, in Bethel to Carl and Vida (Scott) Harlin. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II in the medical field in the South Pacific. He was wounded on Leyte Island Dec. 4, 1944.

On Oct. 18, 1946, he married Oleta Guilliams in Warrenton, Ore. He lived in Tecumseh from 1947 to 2000. He was market manager with Pratt Foods for 20 years and a volunteer firefighter for Tecumseh.

He was a member of the Broadway United Methodist Church for 58 years, the Tecumseh Masonic Lodge 69, AF&AM and OES Chapter 30 of Tecumseh.

He was preceded in death by his parents; grandparents, Bud and Mary Harlin and H.A. and Clara Scott, and parents-in-law, Clyde and Vivian Guilliams.

Survivors include his wife, Oleta Harlin, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Larry Myrle and Cathy Harlin of Hobbs, N.M.; Garyle and Stacey Harlin of Edmond; daughter and son-in-law, Merleta and Doyle Motley of Norman; eight grandchildren and spouses, Kerry Myrle and Heather Harlin of Prague; Juston Myrle Harlin of San Diego, Calif.; Laura and Trey Jarvis of Norman; Dylan Motley of Norman; Matthew, Brett and Sara Harlin of Edmond, and Brandi and Shawn Sester of Oklahoma City; two great-grandchildren; sister, Vida Smith of Tecumseh; sister-in-law, Gwen Harlin of Tecumseh, and many other relatives.

Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Home. Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Allene Isaacs
Allene Isaacs, 74, of Tecumseh died Wednesday, March 24, in Tecumseh.

She was born March 29, 1929, in Cole to James "Jim" Samuel and Willie (Woods) Isaacs. She attended Maxwell and Stratford schools, graduating from Purcell High School.

She grew up in the Maxwell community and also lived in Gailey, Stratford, Purcell, Shawnee and Tecumseh.

She started as a telephone operator in Purcell, transferred to Shawnee and then to Oklahoma City until her retirement after 35 years.

She was a member of the Tecumseh Freewill Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents and an infant sister, Mary Louise Isaacs.

Survivors include four sisters and brothers-in-law, Viola and John Doriski of Schaghiticoke, N.Y.; Winona Herrmann of Agra; Ollie and Ralph McCabe of Bethel; Elizabeth and Gene McCown of Westbrooke, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Henry L. and Deanie Isaacs of Tecumseh, Don and Nancy Isaacs of Moore, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel of Tecumseh with the Rev. Wayne Bryant officiating. Burial will follow at the Maxwell Cemetery of Oil Center.

Mary Virginia Vaughn
Mary Virginia (Johnson) Vaughn, 93, of Newalla died Friday, March 26, in McLoud.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Newalla with the Rev. Griff Henderson and the Rev. Bill Derrick officiating. Burial will follow at Pilgrims Rest Cemetery in Newalla.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.

Jerry Allen Wheeler
Former Seminole resident Jerry Allen Wheeler, 24, of Bethany died Friday, March 26, at his residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel in Seminole with Kirk Goss officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Mattie Elizabeth Rageth
Chandler resident Mattie Elizabeth "Pudd" Rageth, 92, died Friday, March 26, in Oklahoma City.

Services were 10 a.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Chandler with the Rev. Mark Lightman officiating. Burial was at 3 p.m. at IOOF Cemetery in Watonga with the Rev. Doyle Warren officiating.

Dorothy Louise Leatherman Crain
Dorothy Louise Leatherman Crain, 78, died Tuesday, March 23, in Midwest City.

Services will be 1 p.m. today at Earl M. Temple Memorial Chapel in Oklahoma City. Burial will be in Hillcrest Memory Gardens in Spencer. Arrangements are under the direction of Temple and Sons Funeral Directors.

Harold Ruth
Tecumseh resident Harold Ruth, 79, died Sunday, March 28, in Shawnee.

Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with the Rev. Henderson officiating.

Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh is directing arrangements.

Kathryn Meyers Turner
Lawton resident Kathryn Meyers Turner, 90, died Friday, March 26, in Lawton.

She was born March 29, 1913, in Haileyville to William A. and Edna Null. She graduated from Shawnee High School.

She worked for the Shawnee school system as a secretary and for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services as a caseworker for many years.

She was a member of First Baptist Church of Shawnee and served as a volunteer in Boy Scout, YMCA, Shawnee High School and other civic youth activities.

She was preceded in death by her son, Jack W. Turner; two husbands, O.C. Meyers and Fred Turner; her parents, and two brothers, Arlington Null and Victor Null.

Survivors include her sons and daughter-in-law, O. Christopher and Jeanne Rock Meyers of Lawton and Fred O. Turner II of Oklahoma City; her sister, Irene Hyde of Lawton; six grandchildren, Jay C. Meyers of San Diego, Calif.; Laura E. Meyers of Los Angeles, Calif.; Matthew O. Meyers of Flagstaff, Ariz.; Christina N. Meyers of Tucscon, Ariz.; Fred O. Turner III of Dallas, Texas; Nancy Turner of College Station, Texas, and many other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Gaskill Funeral Chapel in Shawnee with the Rev. J.C. Farrand officiating. Burial will follow at Mission Hill Cemetery in Tecumseh. Memorials may be made to charity.

Lenora Lee Roberts
Shawnee resident Lenora Lee (Stevens) Roberts, 76, died Sunday, March 28, at an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born May 3, 1927, in Harrah to Sweeney and Ethel (Neal) Stevens.

On Nov. 9, 1966, she married Oliver Roberts in Oklahoma City.

She was a supervisor of account collections for San Francisco Federal Bank in San Francisco, Calif. She was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a Sunday school teacher for the handicapped.

She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Guy, James, Cecil, Hubert and Paul K. Stevens, and two sisters, Bertha Stevens and Edith Stevens Hitt.

Survivors include her husband, Oliver H. Roberts, of the home; daughter, Brenda D. Rusch of Oklahoma City; granddaughter, Lenora D. Revels and her husband, Christopher, of Oklahoma City; grandsons, Jonathon S. Stevens and wife, Cheryl, of Seminole, Oliver W. Stevens of Oklahoma City; five great-grandchildren; two brothers, Marvin C. Stevens of Davenport, Thomas E. Stevens of McLoud; sister, Delores S. Borden of Yukon, and many other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at the chapel of Walker Funeral Service with the Rev. Mike Craig and the Rev. Gary Hawkins officiating. Burial will be at the Stevens Family Cemetery.

Lynn Rice Sr.
Pawnee resident Lynn Rice Sr., "Kuduks La-da-hu desadu," 83, died Friday, March 26, in Pawnee.

He was born August 7, 1920, south of Pawnee, the son of Thomas Rice and Lena Otter Rice.

On April 4, 1946, he married Rena Goodfox; she preceded him in death on July 26, 1992.

He was a member of the Pawnee Indian Baptist Church and of the Native American Church. He served in the U.S. Army and was a veteran of World War II and of the Korean conflict.

He was preceded in death by his wife; granddaughter, Lisa Hawkins, three brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include his eight children and their families, Lynn Rice Jr. of Texas, Mitchell Rice of Tulsa, Darrell Rice of Pawnee, Jeffrey Rice of Claremore, Rodney Rice of Pawnee, Clarice Tselee of Stillwater, Thomas Rice of Okmulgee and Rosemary Moore of Glencoe; 27 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Pawnee Tribe Roundhouse in Pawnee with the members of the Native American Church officiating. Burial will be at Highland Cemetery in Pawnee.

Poteet Funeral Home of Pawnee is directing arrangements.

Rachel Hurst
Shawnee resident Rachel Hurst, 31, died Sunday, March 28, in Shawnee.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Faith Christian Outreach with the Rev. Travis Hurst and Angie Phillips officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery.

Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh is directing arrangements.

Adalene N. Dauman
Oklahoma City resident Adalene N. Dauman, 82, died Wednesday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Survivors include a brother, Carl Dauman of Shawnee and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services were Saturday at Roselawn Cemetery, Mulhall with the Rev. Bill Matthews officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.
