Patient Irene Burgess Douglas
Patient Irene Burgess Douglas, 98, of Davenport died Friday in Stroud.

Survivors include her sons, Bill Burgess of Claremore, Sam Burgess of Ojai, Calif., and Bob Burgess of Suffolk, Va.; daughters, Loreta Myers of Blanchard, and Nancy Melton of Cleveland; daughter-in-law, Wanda Burgess of Davenport; 20 grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 11 a.m. Tuesday in the Davenport Cemetery with Doyle and Larry Melton officiating.

Arrangments are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.

Nellie "Nell" J. Madden
Ada resident Nellie "Nell" J. Madden, 89, died Friday at an Ada hospital.

Survivors include her son, Charles Burnside of Wetumka; daughter Leticia Cook of Ada; eight grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Hayes officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Phillips Funeral Home of Ada.

David Ray Dickey
David Ray Dickey, 45, died Monday, Jan. 6, at his home in Okemah. He was born Oct.10, 1957, in Okemah to Dean and Patricia Dickey.

Suvivors include his parents of the home; four sisters and brothers-in-law, Betty and Cho Lam, Tecumseh; Linda and Greg Rasure, Broken Arrow; Laura and Robert Taylor, Fort Worth, Texas, and Pamela and Eddy Craighead, Bethany.

Graveside service was 2 p.m. Thursday at the family cemeterywith Paul Custar officiating. Arrangments were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home, Okemah.

Memorials may be made to the David Dickey Memorial Fund at the Okemah National Bank, 302 W. Broadway, P.O. Box 151, Okemah OK 74859.

Billy Don Allen
Billy Don Allen, 62, of Seminole died Friday at Seminole Medical Center.

Survivors include his wife, Kathy M. Allen, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Ricky and Nelda Allen of Wewoka; daughter, Becky Martin of Seminole; brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Mary Allen of Wewoka; sister, Jewel Allen of Wewoka, sister and brother-in-law, Helen and A.C. Redwine of Spaulding; three grandchildren, Shelby Allen of Wewoka, Brittany and Ashley Martin of Seminole, and many other relatives.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the Swearingen Funeral Home with the Rev. Tim Green officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Marjorie "Margie" Collene Wallis
Marjorie "Margie" Collene Wallis, 61, of Paden died Wednesday in Prague.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Gary Don and April Willis of Paden; son, Rocky D. Van Winkle of Montana; daughter and son-in-law, Connie C. and Steve Carson of Edmond; brothers, Jerry Walker of Kendrick, E.J. Walker of Stroud, Larry Joe Walker of Davenport, and Jerald Wayne Walker of Sparks; sisters, Willa Dean Stinson and Lana June English, both of Stroud; nine grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Pamela Ann Morava
Pamela Ann (Dayhuff) Morava, 58, of Oklahoma City died Saturday in Oklahoma City.

She was born Dec. 18, 1944, in Wichita, Kan., to Harold Curtis and Leta Raye (Harvey) Dayduff.

She graduated from Wichita High School North in 1963, and later moved to Oklahoma City.

She married Kenneth Joe Morava on Dec. 26, 1968.

She was a homemaker, who volunteered many years in parent-teacher associations at Prairie Queen, Jefferson and U.S. Grant, and most recently at Houchin Elementary, where her daughter teaches.

Survivors include her husband; son and daughter-in-law, Jeffrey and Siobhan Morava; daughters, Kimberly Morava of Shawnee and Stephanie Morava; brother and sister-in-law, Dan and Pam Dayhuff; and many other family and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Vondel L. Smith and Son Chapel, South, 6934 W. Western, Oklahoma City. Burial will follow at Czechoslovakian National Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Houchin Elementary PTA in Moore or any PTA of your choice.

Helen Jenette Blair
Helen Jenette (Rodgers) Blair, 70, of Seminole died Sunday at a Seminole hospital.

Survivors include her brother, Elza Rodgers of Wewoka; and sister, Carolyn Sue Huntington of The Dalles, Ore.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Trena Smithee. Burial will be at Little Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

John Banes Mitchum Jr.
John Banes Mitchum Jr., 29 days, of Davenport died Friday in Stroud.

Survivors include his parents, John and Eliza Mitchum of Davenport; brother, Joshua Miller of Chandler; sister, Rosalee Martz of Davenport; and other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at the Kendrick Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating.

Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Robert McGregor
Wanette resident Robert (Bob) McGregor, 65, died Sunday in Norman.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Tribbey Cemetery with Jimmy Adams officiating.

Survivors include three brothers, Vernon McGregor, Lexington, John McGregor, Tulsa, and Jimmy Hines, Maud; sons and daughters-in-law Terry and Sally McGregor, Noble; Robert L. II and Debbie McGregor, Purcell; daughter and son-in-law Stacy and Brent Bugher, Lexington; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.

Services are under the direction of Wadley's Funeral Service in Purcell.

Bennie Neal Roberts
Meeker resident Bennie Neal Roberts, 69, died Monday at a local hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Larry Sparks and the Rev. Emmett Hazelwood officiating.

Burial will be at Garden Grove Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

He was born May 13, 1933, in Meeker to Bill and Vivian Robinette Roberts.

Roberts attended White Rock Schools near Jack Town. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 to 1955.

He married Marie Leonard on Nov. 26, 1958.

Roberts worked as a carpenter and contractor building homes in the Shawnee and Meeker area. He also worked for Paul Milburn Construction.

He was a member of the Methodist church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, sisters Margaret Roberts and Reba Ash, one brother, Garvin Roberts; and one grandson, Joey Frederickson.

Survivors include his wife, Marie Roberts, of the home; four children and their spouses, Susan and Garry Dexter, Midwest City; Tina and Glenn Hall, Meeker; Jeff and Amy Roberts, Newalla; and Marvin and Brandi Roberts, Tecumseh; six grandchildren, Lucas Cheatwood, Dawn Summers, Allison Younger, Glenn Ray Hall, Ramona Roberts and Jeannae Roberts; four great-grandchildren; brothers Glenn Roberts, Meeker, and Clarence Roberts, Enid; sisters Willa Mae Ash and Annie Lindsey, both of Meeker; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Pearl Carlton
Okemah resident Pearl Carlton, 85, died Saturday in Okemah.

Survivors include one daughter and son-in-law, Janis and Bill Shackleford, Sand Springs; three sons and daughters-in-law, Victor and Rita Orr of Choctaw, Don and Kathy Orr, Wewoka, and Ronald Orr of Sand Springs; sister, Ruby Jones of Okemah; nine grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and three great great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at Parks Brothers Funeral Home Chapel in Okemah with the Rev. Kelvin Mosley officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Okemah.

Aidan Farooq
Aidan Farooq, infant son of Shahid and Robin Farooq of Harrisonville, Mo., died Friday in Kansas City at the age of 8 months.

Also surviving are his brother, Collin Schlegel, Harrisonville, Mo., and his grandparents, Gary and Linda Smith of Shawnee, and Ashraf and Thaj Farooq of Pakistan.

Graveside service was Sunday at Schoolton Cemetery with Cliff Craig officiating. Arrangements were under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.

Ottie Ford Miller
Ottie Ford Miller of Noble died Tuesday at the age of 100.

She was born Sept. 13, 1902, in Rover, Ark., to Frank L. Ford and Hattie Beatty Ford. She married Elmer Miller on Jan. 1, 1926. He preceded her in death in 1976.

She was a practical nurse and attended Noble First Baptist Church.

She was also preceded in death five children, Wilda Followwell, Elmer Jr., Mary Pate and two infant daughters.

Survivors include her daughters, Lela Allen of Virginia Beach, Va., and Imogene Morrow of Lexington; sons, George Miller of Fresno, Calif., and Donnie Miller of Norman; 22 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Noble First Baptist Church, with the Rev. Deyrl Kastner officiating. Burial will follow at 2 p.m. Friday at the Wanette Cemetery.

Visitation will be until 8 p.m. Thursday at McMahans Funeral Home in Noble, which is handling the arrangements.

A.Z. Flick
A.Z. Flick, 76, of Meeker died Tuesday in Meeker.

He was born Oct. 18, 1926, in Seminole to William and Sadie (Tarwater) Flick. He was reared in Ada, Pauls Valley and Tecumseh, later living in Shawnee. He had lived in Meeker for 36 years.

On Nov. 28, 1954, he married Louise Dibler in Shawnee. She preceded him in death on Jan. 16, 2000.

Flick served in the United States Army during World War II. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base, retiring in 1983. He was a member of Aydelotte Baptist Church.

Also preceding him in death were his parents; two sisters, Dorothy Flick and Wanda Wells Lell, and three brothers, Bill Flick, "Janko" Flick and Sherman Burton.

Surviving relatives include son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Sharlet Flick of Meeker; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Ted Brown of Meeker; four grandchildren and spouses, Gary and Rebecca Brown, Diana and Mort Barber, T.J. Flick and Alicia Flick; a great-granddaughter; sisters and brothers-in-law, Jewell and Bill Nabors and Dean and Harold Watson, all of Tecumseh, and many other family members.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Aydelotte Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken May officiating. Burial will be in Gable Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Shawna Elizabeth Campbell
Earlsboro resident Shawna Elizabeth Campbell, 28, died Monday in Oklahoma City.

Graveside service will be 1 p.m. Friday at Sacred Heart Cemetery with the Rev. Matthew Brown, O.S.B., officiating.

She was born in Oklahoma City on June 23, 1974, to Gary Campbell and Teresa (Martin) Basham. She was baptized at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She attended Konawa Schools and was raised in Konawa and Shawnee. She lived in Earlsboro for six years.

She married Allen Owens in 1997 and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband of the home; son, Taylor Allen Owens, of the home; father, Gary Campbell, Konawa; mother and stepfather, Teresa and Phillip Basham, Shawnee; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Gregory Don and Angela Campbell, Shawnee; Curtis Wayne and Krystal Chapin, Shawnee; grandmothers, Alpha Walker, Oklahoma City; Pat Campbell, Konawa; great-grandmother, Pearl Campbell, Konawa, and many other relatives.

Mary Segura
Tecumseh resident Mary "Granny" Segura, 93, died Tuesday at a local hospital.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with Bob Anderson officiating. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

She was born in Wanette on Nov. 12, 1909, to O.W. "Dick" and Eva A. (Kemp) Cotterell.

She attended school in Wanette and taught at the Krouch School in Tecumseh until she was 90 years old.

She married Julian J. Segura. A Tecumseh resident for more than 25 years, she was a member of the Highland Church of Christ in Tecumseh.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Robert "Bob" Boas; daughter-in-law Nina Boas; five brothers, Clarence Kemp, Edgar "Ted" Cotterell, Owen "Tobe" Cotterell, William "Bill" Cotterell and Richard "Dick" Cotterell, and two sisters, Grace Lamb and Ruth Booth.

Survivors include her husband, Joe Segura of Oklahoma City; daughters and sons-in-law, Emma Frances and Eldred Franklin, Mustang; Glenda and Donnie Anderson, Tecumseh; brother, Lon Cotterell, Modesto, Calif.; sister, Edna Young, Plano, Texas; 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
