Sam P. Ellis
Tecumseh resident Sam P. Ellis, 77, died Saturday.

He was born Aug. 31, 1924, in Roff , Okla., to William Wesley and Eliza Lee (O'Dell) Ellis.

After an honorable discharge from the U.S. Navy, he worked many years in the oil field.

He is preceded in death by his parents, wife, Mildred (Smith) Ellis; sister, Irene Willoughby; and brother, William "Bill" Ellis Sr.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Karen Combs of Shawnee; sons, Jerry and Larry Smith, both of Shawnee, and Randy Smith of El Reno; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; nephews and niece-in-law, Tom and Patricia Willoughby of Shawnee and Bill Ellis Jr. of Oklahoma City; nieces and nephews-in-law, Karen James Adams of Fort Worth, Texas, Janice and Floyd McCalip of Oklahoma City, Margie Willoughby, Connie and Don Pittman and Kim and Tony VanDyne, all of Shawnee, and Shellie Ellis of Greensboro, S.C.; sister-in-law, Elaine Ellis; and many friends.

A memorial service will be held 1 p.m. today at the Bethel Acres Assembly Church, 18509 Bethel Road, with the Rev. Lonnie Hurst officiating.

Ruth L. Crotts
Ruth L. Crotts, 90, of Seminole died Sunday at her home.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Park of Shawnee with the Rev. Cecil Spoonmore officiating.

Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee.

Lloyd Wells
Seminole resident Lloyd "Curly" Wells, 84, died Sunday at Pioneer Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Rock Creek Cemetery in Okemah with the Rev. Harold Turner officiating.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Survivors include his son, Lloyd Bryan Wells, Hinton; daughters, Marilyn Mosley, Konawa, and Judy Sparks of Delaware, Ark.; sister, Maxine Wells, Port Orchid, Wash.; and six grandchildren.

Lewis Wright
Shawnee resident Lewis Wright, 76, died Saturday at his home.

Wright may be viewed until noon Wednesday. The family will have private funeral services. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Wright was born in Eagletown, Okla., on Jan. 1, 1927, to John and Florence Wright.

He attended school in Eagletown and graduated from Eagletown High School in 1949.

A carpenter, he retired from Wolverine Tube.

He married Mary Jones on April 7, 1952, in Milford Center, Ohio.

He served in the U.S. Army in Korea and moved to Shawnee in 1954.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Wright, of the home; five children and their spouses, Carol and David Williams, Moore, Garey and Betty Wright, Meeker, James and Sherry Wright, Shawnee, Michael Wright, Shawnee, and Brenda Wright, Shawnee; three sisters, Irene Shivers, Marshall, Texas, Dall Leonard, Benton City, Wash., and Lou Ann Leyerly, Marshall, Texas; sister-in-law Betty Arlene, Demming, N.M.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Shawnee.

Bobbie Denison Fulp
Oklahoma City resident Bobbie Denison Fulp, 53, died Sunday in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include her husband, Ray R. Fulp Jr., of the home; one son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Shanna Calhoun, Harrah; two stepsons and their wives, Trey and Catherine Fulp of Texas, and Jay and Shelly Fulp, Oklahoma City; sister and brother-in-law Beckie and Mark Keyko, Santa Barbara, Calif.; and three grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Village Baptist Church, Oklahoma City. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service, Harrah.

Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.

Wanda Jean Bennett-Rodgers
Wanda Jean Bennett-Rodgers, 73, formerly of Shawnee, died Friday in Houston.

Survivors include her husband, Harold Rodgers; daughter and son-in-law, Georgia Ann and Jack Hughes of Friendswood, Texas; sons and daughter-in-law, Ralph and Pam Whitted and Harold James Whitted; sister-in-law, Marcella Adams of Shawnee; 13 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.

Services will be at 11:30 a.m. today at the First United Methodist Church in Independence, Kan., with the Rev. Ronnie Churchwell officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel in Shawnee.

The family has designated the Make-A-Wish Foundation as appropriate for memorials.

Pearl Katherine Scott
Pearl Katherine Scott, 95, of Shawnee died Monday at a local hospital.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Bethel United Methodist Church.

Further arrangements will be announced by Walker Funeral Service.

Frank Louellen
Frank Louellen, 83, of Wewoka and former Konawa resident, died Saturday at a Seminole Hospital

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Wolf Cemetery with the Rev. Larry Chesser officiating.

Services are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.

Dorothy F. Gouker
Dorothy F. "Dottie" Gouker, 57, of Seminole died Saturday at her home.

Survivors include her mother, Babe Grisso of Shawnee; husband, Kenneth Gouker of Seminole; son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Cari Ham of Seminole; daughters and sons-in-law, Candise and Tom Warren of Elk City, and Angel and Shannon Ladd of Holdenville; brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Laura Grisso of Seminole; sisters and brothers-in-law, Marge and Sam Laffon of Shawnee, Carolyn and Don Robbins of Ada and Linda and Jerry Jarrell of Bartlesville; brother-in-law, Joe Paul Gouker of Shawnee, brothers-in-law and their wives, Dub and Patsy Gouker of Bethany and Bill and Babe Gouker of Shawnee; sisters-in-law and their husbands, Lilly and Lynn Rose of Woodward, Emma Wilson and Larry Stein of Shawnee, and Phyllis Anderson of Shawnee.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. today at Gable Cemetery in Meeker with the Rev. Roger Brewer officiating.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home in Seminole.

Craig Steven Weatherly
Craig Steven Weatherly, 43, of Shawnee died Sunday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

He was born April 29, 1959, in Oklahoma City to Jack and Mary Weatherly.

He graduated from Guymon High School and received his bachelor's degree in elementary education from Panhandle State University in Goodwill.

He taught school in Perryton, Texas, and later moved to Oklahoma City, where he taught fifth grade at Edgemere Elementary.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Perryton.

Survivors include his parents of Shawnee; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael and Tina Weatherly of Guthrie and Bill and Kathy Weatherly of Crowley, Texas; and many nephews, nieces, aunts, uncles and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Service with the Rev. Richard Zimmer and the Rev. Conway Sawyers officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee. Visitation with family will be 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday. The casket will not be opened after the service.

Edward Green
Edward Green, 38, of Shawnee died Tuesday at a local hospital.

He was born Dec. 2, 1964, in Claremore to Polly (Green) Buckley. He attended school in Tulsa. He was a foreman roofer for more than 10 years with Mr. Stop Leak Roofing in Oklahoma City. He was a member of the Muskogee Creek Tribe.

Preceding him in death was his grandfather, Thomas Green.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Martina Green, of the home; a daughter, Dametra Gouge of Oklahoma City; a stepdaughter, Bridgette Wilson, Shawnee; two sons, Edward Green Jr. and Ivan Amos Green, both of Shawnee; his mother, Polly Buckley of Tulsa; three sisters, Penny Buckley, Cheryl Meely and Crystal Buckley, all of Tulsa; a cousin, Vincent Gutierrez; his grandmother, Lillian Deer of Wetumka; a sister-in-law, Shawna Lonelodge, Shawnee; a brother-in-law, Christopher Lonelodge, Shawnee; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Grace and David Green of Shawnee, and many other relatives.

A wake service will be held 7 p.m. today at First Indian Baptist Church, Minnesota and Darrow Street in Shawnee. Funeral will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Indian Baptist Church with Houston Tiger officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park, under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Michael Paris Ellis
Davenport resident Michael Paris "Mike" Ellis, 53, died Tuesday in Oklahoma City.

Surviving relatives include his mother, Mary Elizabeth Ellis of Prague; his wife, Connie Rhodd Ellis of Davenport; a son, Christopher Harragarra of Red Rock; two stepsons, Lawrence Ellis of Davenport and Levi Ellis of Shawnee; three daughters, Lea Rhodd, Kila Jo Ellis and Keri Lynn Ellis, all of Davenport; a brother, Robert Everett Ellis of Shawnee; and two sisters, Marlene Ellis and Julia Ellis, both of Prague.

The body will be moved to the family home on Moccasin Trail at 4 p.m. today and graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at McKosato Cemetery with Francis Grant officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

James William Branham
Seminole resident James William Branham, 85, died Tuesday at his home.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens, Seminole, with the Rev. Bill Burns officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral home of Seminole.

Survivors include his wife, Helen Elizabeth Branham, of the home; stepchildren Peter Iverson, Verna Clark, Georgia Collins and Lynn Pruitt and her husband Lynn; two sisters, Mary Brine, Ohio, and Ruth Carroll, Florida; two grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, one great great-grandchild, and many other relatives.

John William Dennis Stanfill
Seminole resident John William Dennis Stanfill, 77, died Tuesday at his home.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with Chris Stinnett officiating. Burial will be at Little Cemetery.

Survivors include his wife, Eunice Marie (Wiley) Stanfill, of the home; sons, John W. Stanfill Jr., Idaho.; James E. Stanfill, Shawnee; David W. Stanfill, Seminole; Roger A. Stanfill and Randall Stanfill, both of Rogers, Ark.; daughters, Joyce Benn, Georgina Marshall, Kathleen Shaw, Pamela Stanfill, all of Seminole; Ramona Stanfill, Washington; brother, Tommy Stanfill, Empire, Calif.; sister, Bess Anderson, Iowa, 22 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.

Gary Dale Bonds
Gary Dale Bonds, 67, of Sayre died Thursday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Roberta, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Jacqueline Kay and Phil Parker of Weatherford, Michelle Lynn and Darren Carter of Sayre, and Denise Ann and Dale Beard of Shawnee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Colleen and Dale McKean of Carlsbad, N.M., and Janette and Gene Dunlap of Burns Flat; eight grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Sayre First Baptist Church, with Tom Cooksey and Charles Tatyrek officiating. Burial will follow at Cheyenne Cemetery under the direction of Rose Chapel Funeral Services in Sayre.

Memorials may be made to the Gary Bonds Memorial Scholarship Fund at any InterBank location.

Earleta L. Myers
Earleta L. Myers, 80, of Shawnee died Tuesday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born Dec. 27, 1922, in Clinton to J.E. and Leta (Pierce) Frazier.

Myers graduated from Seminole High School in 1941.

She was an operator for Southwestern Bell for 36 years. She was also a member of the Southwestern Bell Association "The Pioneers."

On May 31, 1952, she married Lawrence N. Myers in Seminole.

She had been a Shawnee resident since 1956.

Myers was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son-in-law, Larry Wolfe; an infant sister, and one brother-in-law, C.V. Parsons.

Survivors include one daughter, Paula Wolfe of Edmond; three grandchildren, Greg Wolfe of Stillwater and Kelly and Curtis Hoppe of McKinney, Texas; one sister, Ruth Parsons of Seminole; four great-grandchildren; and two nephews and one niece.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glen Pence officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
