William L. Perryman
Former Shawnee resident, William L. (Bill) Perryman, died Friday at his home at the age of 79.

He was born in Shawnee on Oct. 11, 1923, to Arch and Nora (Rasure) Perryman.

Early in his career, Perryman was a partner in the family sand-dredging business. He and his father owned and operated Perryman Concrete in Shawnee until he moved to Prague, in the mid-60s, where he owned and operated Prague Ready Mix until his retirement in 1985.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Floyd and Doug Perryman, and one sister, Maurine Rice.

He is survived by a sister, Deloras O'Toole, of Grand Junction, Colo., six children and their spouses, Floyd (Frosty) Perryman of Prague, Billy and Chris Perryman of Prague, Lydia and Jay Loman of Dale, LaRue and Keith Slankard of Boulder, Colo., Livia and Nolan Norman of Prague and Casey D. Perryman of Shawnee; six grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Perryman served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and will be buried with veterans honors at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with the Rev. Terry Dennis officiating.

Rebecca Lynn Millsap
Rebecca Lynn Millsap, infant daughter of Kenneth and Mary Millsap of Tecumseh, died Saturday in Shawnee.

Surviving relatives include her parents; a brother, Daniel Millsap of the home; a sister, Darla Millsap of the home; and grandparents, Robert and Juanita Millsap of McLoud, Mae Dearman of Tecumseh and Bob Dearman of Okemah.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tecumseh Cemetery with the Rev. Rocky Millsap officiating. Cooper Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Richard Landtroop
Richard Landtroop, 73, of Tecumseh died Thursday in Shawnee.

He was born May 26, 1929, in Wilburton to Jim and Rebecca (Team) Landtroop. He was born and raised in Wilburton and attended school there. He lived in Okemah for many years and in Tecumseh for the past two years.

On Nov. 29, 1979, he married Roberta Binau in Gainesville, Texas. He was a self-employed trucker before beginning work for Okfuskee County, where he worked until his retirement in 1993. He was of the Baptist faith.

Preceding him in death were his parents; a son, Donald Landtroop; a brother and two sisters.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Roberta, of the home; a son, Ronnie Landtroop of Texas; three daughters, Shirley Smith of Oregon, Sue Wilson of Missouri and Sherry Elder of California; two stepdaughters, Rhonda Revels of Ponca City and Julie Moon of Prague; 17 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; a brother, Bill Landtroop of Oregon; a sister, Gracie Smith of Okemah; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Walker of First Baptist Church, Tecumseh, officiating. Burial is in Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Mary Simmons
Mary Mooney Simmons, 91, Shawnee, died Friday at a local nursing home.

She was born Aug. 18, 1911, near Purcell to Walter and Kittie Mooney. She graduated from Hammon High School and attended Oklahoma A&M.

She taught school in Ruel, Okla., near Tonkawa.

She married William Edwin Simmons Jan. 1, 1944, in Oklahoma City.

She was a member of the First Christian Church in Tonkawa, where she grew up and supplied flowers for her church and some child care facilities. She moved to Shawnee from Tonkawa in 1997.

She was a member of the Shawnee Water Garden Club.

Preceding her in death were her husband, parents, five brothers and one sister.

Surviving are her daughter, Edwina Douglas, Shawnee; grandchildren, Phil Lovelace, Stillwater, and Ginger Lovelace, Chickasha; two great-granddaughters; sisters, Mildred Dodson, Oklahoma City, Gertie Rennels, Hammon, Okla., and Doletta Blythe, Texas City, Texas; and several nieces, nephews and special friends.

Services will be 11 a.m. Monday at the First Christian Church in Tonkawa with the Rev. John L. Bartlett officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery in Tonkawa under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the First Christian Church Building Fund at Tonkawa.

Lois Beets
Lois Beets of Moore, OK went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 6, 2003.

Born June 5, 1924 on the Horner farm, Hardin County, North East of Eldora, Iowa.

She enjoyed beadwork, crocheting, sewing, and card games. She retired from

Honeywell/General Electric in 1975. She married Urshal Beets on November 7, 1948

in Weleetka, Oklahoma. She is survived by her daughter Allison (Ruby) Chipman,

daughter Mary Maddux and her husband Trueman Maddux, 7 grandchildren and 4

great-grandchildren, 1 brother & 2 sisters. Services will be held Tuesday,

February 11, 2003 at 11:00 am in the Chapel of Walker Funeral Service in Shawnee.

Interment will be in Wanette Cemetery, Wanette, Oklahoma, with Rev. Ron Isam officiating.

Richard Landtroop
Tecumseh resident Richard Landtroop, 73, died Thursday in Shawnee,

Services are 2 p.m. Monday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Walker officiating. Burial will be at Brown Cemetery. Other information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Harold W. Richardson
Harold W. Richardson, 83, of McLoud died Tuesday in McLoud.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Burial will follow at Pilgrim's Rest Cemetery in Newalla.

Services are under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service of Harrah.

Mary Seals
Mary Seals, 62, of Tecumseh died Sunday in Oklahoma City.

She was born Sept. 27, 1940, in Hinton to Archie and Edith Stahlman.

Seals was a graduate of Verdon High School.

She grew up in Dutton.

On May 17, 1958, she married Floyd Seals Jr. in Pocasset, Okla. The couple lived in Illinois and Indiana, and Seals lived in Tecumseh from 1974.

She was a homemaker. She also served as the treasurer for the town of Pink for several years.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, James Stahlman.

Survivors include her husband, Floyd J. Seals, of the home; daughters and son-in-law, Raythene Lucero of Pink and Katherine and Mark Crook of Shawnee; sons and daughter-in-law, Billy and Dana Seals of Meeker and Jimmy Seals of Pink; sisters, Velta Mitchell of Minco and Barbara Brown of Anadarko; brothers, Lee Roy Stahlman of Moore and J.D. Stahlman of Yukon; eight grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at the Praise Assembly of God in Shawnee with the Rev. Tracy Barnett officiating. Burial will follow at Brown Cemetery.

Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Jacquelyn Joan Harrison
Jacquelyn Joan Harrison, 78, of Shawnee died Monday in Shawnee.

Survivors include her husband, L.C. Harrison, of the home; a son, James Harrison of Shawnee; daughters, Susie Rogers of Poteau and Carol Arrant of Weatherford, Texas; a sister, Ileana McBurnett of Tyler, Texas; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Konawa City Cemetery with Bill Burns officiating.

Services are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home at Konawa.

Gussie Mae Barnwell
Former Shawnee resident Gussie Mae Barnwell, 88, of Bartlesville died Sunday at a Bartlesville nursing home.

She was born July 14, 1914, in Center Point, Ark., to Dave H. and Lula Mae (Dossey) Henderson. She came to Dale, Okla., at an early age. She graduated from Dale High School in 1932.

On Dec. 24, 1937, she married Jimmie Barnwell in Chandler. They owned and operated Barnwell Refrigeration Service in the Shawnee area from the 1930s to the early 1970s.

She became a member of the Adams Boulevard Church of Christ after moving to Bartlesville in November 2000.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; three brothers, Henry, Harold and Haskell Henderson; and one sister, Hazel Burns.

Surviving relatives include one daughter, Shirley Waldrop and husband Joe of Bartlesville; two grandchildren, Sharon Hicks and husband David of Springfield, Va., and Raymond Waldrop of Wichita, Kan.; two great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Wanda Roberts and Loree Maiwurm, both of Oklahoma City.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at Fairview Cemetery in Shawnee. Arrangements are under the direction of Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville.

The family will receive friends from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. today at Stumpff Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Jane Phillips Hospice, 219 N. Virginia Ave., Bartlesville, OK, 74003.

Bill Louis Davis
Seminole resident Bill Louis Davis, 74, died Sunday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Donna Davis, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Mary H. Davis of Addison, Texas; a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Bill Campbell of Seminole; a daughter-in-law, Kathy Davis of Arlington, Texas; and four grandchildren, LaDawna Campbell, Rebecca Campbell, Joshua Davis and Jacob Davis.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Kelvin Moseley officiating. Burial will follow at Little Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Earl Wayne McCray
Davenport resident Earl Wayne McCray, 66, died Friday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Georgia, of the home; son, Matthew McCray of Stillwater; daughters and son-in-law, Patricia Buchanan, Davenport, and Sharan and Mike Mash of Chandler; nine grandchildren; one great-granddaughter; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services were 1 p.m. Monday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Michael Mitchell officiating. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Stroud.

Charles G. Ferris
Charles G. Ferris, 80, died Dec. 26 at an Oklahoma City Hospital.

Burial was in Forester, Mich.

Ferris worked with Wolverine Tube for 47 years until his retirement in 1986.

He served as a U.S. Marine stationed in the South Pacific during World War II.

A long-time member of the Elks Lodge, he served on the board of directors.

He is survived by his wife, Dolly; sons, Gordon and Michael, daughters Joan and Marisa, grandsons Christopher, Adam and Bryan Ferris; brother and sister-in-law, William and Anne Ferris, brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Ted and Christine Scherer, brother-in-law, Alex Cellini, numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Weldon and Bessie McGaw and Jerry Rodgers.

Wayne T. Owens
Shawnee resident Wayne T. Owens, 86, died Saturday at his residence.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Service with the Rev. Gene Cheatwood, the Rev. Joe Grooms and the Rev. Ed Long officiating.

Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

He was born to William Torrence "Terry" Owens and Gladys Evaline (Fantz) Owens on Nov. 30, 1916, in Des Moines, Iowa.

He married Elsie Marie Farris of Arkansas and owned and operated Owens Bicycle Shop on East Main in Shawnee until his retirement.

A veteran of World War II, he was a member of Bible Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years, Elsie Marie Farris Owens.

Survivors include his companion of 22 years, Bernice Eliza Cutsinger, Shawnee; one son, Billy Owens of California; cousins, Jim Owens, John Owens and Geraldine DeWitt Edwards, all of California; nieces, Margaret Kesler, Versie Farris and Shirley Mowell, all of Shawnee; nephews, Oris Farris, Shawnee, and Jay Farris, Miami; and several other relatives.
