Jennifer Renee Shultz
Jennifer Renee Shultz, 20, of Prague died Saturday in Oklahoma City.

She was born Nov. 9, 1982, in Shawnee to Brad and Tammy (Silas) Shultz.

She had been a resident of the Prague area most of her life.

She attended Prague schools and graduated from Prague High School in 2001. While attending school in Prague, she was a member of the pom squad, Prague Band, was voted band queen for the 2000-2001 school year and served as a youth facilitator.

Shultz was attending Seminole State College and was a cheerleader.

She was working at Loves Country Store in Seminole.

She also was a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague.

Survivors include her parents; one sister, Megan Shultz of Prague; maternal grandmother, Barbara Barner of Prague; paternal grandparents, Ray and Willene Shultz of Wewoka; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Prague First Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial will follow at the Little Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Lloyd George Hughes
Lloyd George Hughes, 84, of Seminole died Friday at his home.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Martha, of the home; a son, Luther Caldwell of Seminole; three daughters and sons-in-law, Donna and Wesley Stewart of Point Blank, Texas; Loretta and Marty Ronhoude of San Antonio, Texas; and Sue and J.D. Petty of Midwest City; a sister, Betty Rosetta Brooks of Konawa; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 7 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Art Coffey and the Rev. Dean Hughes officiating.

Burial will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Gracelawn Cemetery in Edmond.

Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

John David Stover
John David Stover, 46, of Wanette died Wednesday at a Purcell hospital.

Surviving relatives include his fiance, Pam McGuire of Pocatello, Idaho; his mother, Roma Lee Stover of Purcell; a brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Vicky Stover of Wanette; a sister and brother-in-law, Marsha and Gary Barger of Purcell; four nephews and three nieces.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Trinity United Methodist Church in Purcell with Carroll Milner officiating.

Burial will be in Wanette Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wilson-Little Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, 825 N.E. 13th St., Oklahoma City, OK, 73104.

William B. Ball
Seminole area native William B. "Bill" Ball, 78, died Friday.

Ball was born April 7, 1924, in Seminole to Joseph Newton and Ella Ann Ball.

He grew up in Little and attended school at Strother. He lived in Oklahoma most of his life.

Ball worked at the Seminole Producer as a sports writer early in his newspaper career.

He later worked in advertising at The Shawnee News-Star and The Daily Oklahoman.

He was a member of the 12th and Drexel Church of Christ and more recently, the Del City Church of Christ.

Ball was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings.

Surviving relatives include his wife of 59 years, Claudine; six children, Ann Schneider and husband Dutch of Del City; Bill Ball and wife Marj of Webb City, Mo.; Jane Murphy and husband Mike of Cedar Park, Texas; Greg Ball and wife Janelle of Garland, Texas; Cynthia Goodwin of Windsor, Colo.; and David Ball and wife Michelle of Frisco, Colo.; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Bill Eisenhour Southeast Chapel. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Little Cemetery.

David Harrison Mason
Longtime Chandler resident David Harrison Mason, 67, died Friday in Chandler.

Surviving relatives include a son, David Mason Jr. of Muskogee; three daughters, Tammy Graber of Muskogee, Debbie Gregg of Ft. Gibson and Kathy Mason of Chandler; two brothers, Arthur Mason of Massachusetts and Burt Mason of Kellyville; five sisters, Joann Alford of Chandler, Sue Drummond of Shawnee, Donna Garcia of Laredo, Texas, Loudean Peck of Stillwell and April Wayland of Chandler; six grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Chandler with the Rev. Doyle Seeley officiating. Burial will follow at the White Dove Cemetery in Sparks. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Gwen Ann Baker
Asher native Gwen Ann Baker, 55, of Elk City died Friday in Elk City.

She was born May 20, 1947. She was raised in Asher and graduated from Asher High School. She was raised with the O¹dell family after her mother died in 1959.

Baker had lived in Elk City since 1992 and worked at Wal-Mart the last several years.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vera Lee Stehr Payne, in 1959; her sister, Rita E. Fry, in 1997; and her brother, Bill Payne, in 2001.

Surviving relatives include a son, Shawn Lee Connor of Elk City; a grandson she was raising, Tyler Ray Connor of Elk City; a granddaughter, Mandy Connor, and grandson, Casey Connor, both of Elk City; a sister, Eva D. Payne of Shawnee; her O¹dell family brothers and sisters, Sunny O¹dell, Leroy O¹dell and Larry O¹dell, all of Asher; Eileen Gladden of Asher and Peggy Allen of Saint Louis, Okla.; three nieces; two nephews; several cousins; and two special friends, Christine Chambers and sister Joann of Elk City.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Vista Cemetery with the Rev. Glen Peck officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.

Lunch will be provided at noon Monday at the home of Peggy and Paul Allen of Saint Louis.

Twala Blackstone
Twala Blackstone, 57, of Midwest City died Friday.

She was born Aug. 19, 1945, in Napa, Calif., to Lucious and Irene (Parsons) Barnhart. She was a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Elmer, of the home; a son, Keith Blackstone of Midwest City; a daughter, Candreia Bise of Springdale, Ark., three grandchildren; two brothers, Dwight Barnhart of Lakeside, Mont., and Dean Barnhart of California; a sister, Pam Davis of Janesville, Wis.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee. Arrangements are under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Southeast Funeral Home.

Paul Herman Hogue
Lifelong Tecumseh resident Paul Herman "P.H." Hogue, 79, died Thursday in Tecumseh.

He was born Nov. 30, 1923, in the Pottawatomie County community of Brown, to Ora G. and Vina Lou (Roberts) Hogue. He was a farmer and a member of Oak Grove Holiness Church.

Hogue was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Bea Ora Dabney and Helen Hogue.

Surviving relatives include a brother, Charley "Bud" Hogue of Tecumseh; four sisters, Lillian Tison, Anjaline Getzelman, Laura Mayes and Anna Edgeman, all of Tecumseh; and numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Brown Cemetery with the Rev. James McCalip officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Carl West
Carl West, 63, of Tecumseh died Friday in Tecumseh.

He was born May 1, 1939, in Shawnee to L.O. and Edith (Kitson) West. He attended school in Shawnee and moved to Tecumseh in 1975.

On June 22, 1960, he married Bonnie Gentry in Shawnee. He worked at Tinker Air Force Base until his retirement. He worked for the Tecumseh Fire Department for 20 years, serving as assistant chief at the time of his retirement. He also served as Tecumseh Civil Defense director for 20 years.

West attended the First Assembly of God Church in Tecumseh.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Bonnie West, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Starla and Don VanHorn of Luther and Genia and Ricky Smith of Kingfisher; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Ruth West of Tecumseh; his mother, Edith West of Shawnee; four brothers, Leon West and Orville West, both of Hutchinson, Kan.; John West of Earlsboro; and George West of Meeker; close friends, Jimmy and Penny Larson of Tecumseh; and 11 grandchildren and three great-granddaughters.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Assembly of God Church in Tecumseh with Chad Brodrick, Bobby Gentry and Will Bentley officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Wesley Wilson
Wesley Wilson, 84, died Thursday.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Wilson, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Jim and Julia Wilson of Hennessey, Jerry and Norma Wilson of Vermillion, S.D., and Paul and Wendy Wilson of Eugene, Ore.; one daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Mike Craig of Shawnee; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Florence and Virgil Bunch and Leola Boyd; two sisters-in-law, Lanetta Wilson and Queida Jo White, both of Okeene; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist Church in Hennessey with the Rev. Terry Bunch, the Rev. Alfaro Orozco and the Rev. Danny Marney officiating. Burial will follow at Parvin Cemetery under the direction of Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home.

Leonard Cushing
Stroud resident Leonard John "Cush" Cushing, 80, died Thursday in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife, Martha Cushing of Stroud; two daughters and sons-in-law, Jane and Randy Place and Jennifer and Bryan Sweatt, all of Stroud; three sons and a daughter-in-law, Jess Cushing, El Paso, Texas, John and Patty Cushing, Oklahoma City, and Joseph Cushing of Stroud; eight grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the First Assembly of God Church in Stroud with the Rev. Don Wilburn and the Rev. Max Alley officiating.

Burial will follow at the Stroud Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Services in Stroud.

James Seward
Stroud resident James Herman Seward, 84, died Wednesday in Stroud.

Survivors include his wife, Billie Kay Seward, of Stroud; six sons, Alvin Seward, Stroud, Edward Seward, Moore, Leon Seward, Arlington, Texas, Marvin Seward, McLoud, Richard Seward, Davenport, and Willard Seward, Stroud; six daughters, Lyndell James, Chandler, Catherine Mcfee, Stroud, Ruby Meadows, Dallas, Texas, Wilma Seward, Stroud, Clara Tubbs, Oklahoma City, and Clearoa Watson, Pajaro, Calif.; sisters, Emmaline Anderson and Roberta Morgan, both of Pittsburg, Calif.; brothers James Seward II and Nathaniel Seward, both of Oakland, Calif.; 33 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. today at the Jesus First Baptist Church in Stroud with the Rev. Lorenzo Jacobs officiating.

Burial will follow in the Booker Cemetery in Davenport under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague.

Rose Hinchee
Shawnee resident Rose Hinchee, 83, died Friday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Services with Deacon Jeffrey Morris, her grandson, officiating.

Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

She was born Nov. 21, 1919, in Shawnee to Homer and Libbie Blackstone.

She attended and graduated from St. Benedict School.

She was married to Samuel Hinchee and was a homemaker.

Survivors include her husband, Samuel Hinchee, of Shawnee; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dick and Betty Morris, Shawnee, and Gene and Reatha Morris, Tecumseh; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey Morris, Becky Morris West, Steven Morris, Deborah Morris Richardson, Christopher Morris, Steven Winlock, Penny Potter and Jacob Shirey; 11 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jack and Elmer Blackstone; one sister, Geraldine Batt; one sister-in-law, Wanda Blackstone; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Dolores Nadine Carney
Longtime Chandler resident Dolores Nadine Carney died Sunday in Mesa, Ariz., at the age of 77.

Surviving are three sons, Dale Carney of Chandler, Damon Carney of Oklahoma City and Seth Carney of Broken Arrow; a daughter, Sandra Brown of Mesa, Ariz.; brothers-in-law, Ralph Carney of Escondido, Calif.; Ronnie Carney of Anaheim, Calif.; sisters-in-law, Jean Capps of Bristow; Terry Carney of Boise, Idaho; Linda Hayes of Phoenix, Ariz.; Glenna Sleghter of Phoenix, Ariz.; Ruth Tidwell of Bristow; 11 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Chandler. Burial will be at 1:30 p.m. at Lawson Cemetery in Yale with the Rev. Dale Carney, the Rev. Seth Carney and the Rev. Roland Tidwell officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Connie Lou Herron
Lifelong Shawnee resident Connie Lou Herron, 48, died Sunday in an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born Dec. 6, 1954, in Shawnee to Lue Herron and Annie Laura (Sullivan) Herron. She graduated from Shawnee High School and Seminole State College and later attended Oklahoma Baptist University.

Herron worked for the State Insurance Fund in Oklahoma City, at Tinker Air Force Base and, most recently, for the Department of Human Services for 16 years.

She was a member of the Johnson Church of God and served as church pianist for many years. She also played at many Church of God state conventions.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Annie Herron, and an infant brother.

Surviving relatives include her father, Lue Herron of Shawnee; a brother, Steve Herron of Shawnee; two nephews, Robert S. Herron and Keith Herron, both of Shawnee; cousins, Dickie and Dorothy Herron and Dillon of Shawnee; and many other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Oak Park Church of God in Shawnee with the Rev. Charles Higgins and the Rev. Leroy Kerbo officiating. Burial follows in Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.
