Francis (Nelson) Victor, 75, of Tecumseh died Tuesday.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Mack Peercy officiating. Burial will follow at Vista Cemetery.

Other information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Queen Elizabeth Bean
Queen Elizabeth Bean, 93, of Chandler died Tuesday.

Arrangements are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

Jeffery Lee Harjo
Jeffery Lee Harjo, 43, of Konawa died Tuesday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

Survivors include his parents Carlee and Pauline Harjo of Konawa; his wife, Tammy Harjo of the home; one son, Adam Harjo of the home; one daughter, Kimberly Harjo of the home; four brothers, Carl, Terry, Dale and David Harjo, all of Konawa; two sisters, Lahoma and Cecelia Harjo of Konawa; maternal grandmother, Cora Harjo of Sasakwa; and several aunts and uncles and other family and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Pentecostal Church of God Indian Mission of Konawa with the Rev. Arthur Wayne Carpitcher. Burial will follow at the Davis Family Cemetery in Sasakwa under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.

Frances Elizabeth Godwin
Frances Elizabeth (Hoover) Godwin, 77, of Oklahoma City, a former Shawnee resident, died Monday.
Survivors include a sister, Mary Helen (Hoover) Hendricks of Houston; two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Patrick Curth of Tulsa and Peggy and Buddy Card of Yukon; five grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

A service will be Friday at 2 p.m. at Church of the Savior, Warr Acres, Okla.

Arrangements are being handled by Bill Merritt Funeral Service, Bethany.

Cleta Jo Wade
Cleta Jo Wade, 65, of Rogers, Ark., died Tuesday in Rogers. Services are pending with Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Winona Marrs
Winona Marrs, 86, of Shawnee died Monday in a local hospital.
Survivors include a daughter, Linda Marrs of Norman; a son Charles Randolph Marrs of Addison, Texas; a sister, Jo Cunningham of Springfield, Mo.; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at Sparkman-Crane Funeral Home in Dallas.

Neal W. Anderson
Neal W. Anderson, 41, of Tecumseh died Monday in Oklahoma City.

He was born June 16, 1961, in Shawnee to Jack and Lana (Gilmore) Anderson. He graduated from Tecumseh High School in 1979. He lived in Tecumseh most of his life.

Anderson worked at TDK for several years and had been employed at Tinker Air Force Base as a jet engine mechanic for the past three years.

He trained and raised horses and was active in rodeos as a team roper. He was a member of the Tecumseh Round Up Club and a member of the board of directors of the Heart of Oklahoma Youth Rodeo Association.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Darious B. Gilmore, and paternal grandmother, Zelva "Pat" Anderson.

Surviving relatives include his son, Eric Anderson of the home; daughter, Kara Anderson of the home; parents, Jack and Lana Anderson of Tecumseh; sister and brother-in-law, Rae Lynne and Randy Koester of Chandler; grandparents, Dorothy Gilmore and Andy and Dottie Anderson, all of Shawnee; nephews, Kyle and Kash Koester of Chandler; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Dr. Tim Walker and the Rev. W.F. Crow officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Franklin Delano Phillips
Franklin Delano Phillips, 70, of Lexington and formerly of Shawnee, died Sunday in Oklahoma City.

He was born Feb. 14, 1933, to Troy and Vera Phillips in Shawnee.

He graduated from Shawnee High School.

He retired from Rock Island Railroad and was a rancher southwest of Shawnee.

He served in the U.S. Army, 82nd Airborne Division and served in the Korean conflict.

He was a member of the Oklahoma Cattlemen's Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Bill Phillips and Nolan Phillips.

Survivors include daughters, Debbie Jackson of Norman and Sandy Bruehl of Lexington; grandchildren, Jason Keeler of Norman, Jon Ross Jackson of Norman, Candice Bruehl of Lexington and Kenneth Bruehl of Lexington.

Services will be 2 p.m. Thursday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Services with the Rev. Jeff Burress officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Nancy J. Palmer
Nancy Judy Palmer, 68, of Seminole died Saturday in Shawnee.

Survivors include her sister, Nelsey Palmer Leetka of Seminole; her brother, Tony Palmer of Sasakwa; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

Wake services were held at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel.

Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. today with Dave Bowlegs and Andy Alexander officiating.

Burial will follow at the White Family Cemetery, known as "Grannie's Cemetery," east of Seminole, under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.

Jack Lee Carter
Houston, Texas, resident Jack Lee Carter, 79, formerly of Weleetka, died Sunday at St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital, Houston, Texas.

Survivors include his wife, Linda (Cathey) Carter of the home; son, Christopher Lee Carter, Norman; brother, J.R. "Lee" Carter, Bixby; and sister, Doris Sanders, Lansing, Kan.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Hillcrest Cemetery in Weleetka with the Rev. Glen Hood officiating.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home, Seminole.

Christine Johnson
Christine (Harley) Johnson, 56, of Shawnee died Saturday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born Oct. 18, 1946, in Eufaula to Yarkin and Mattie (Francis) Harley.

She grew up in Eufaula and attended Chilocco Indian boarding school.

She was a homemaker. She also worked as a night supervisor at Shawnee Medical Center Hospital for 11 years before her retirement.

She married Charles Johnson on Feb. 5, 1963, in Shawnee.

She was a member of the Artussee Indian Baptist Church of Eufaula. She had lived in the Shawnee area since 1976.

She was preceded in death by her mother and father.

Survivors include her husband of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Cynthia Johnson, Lisa Johnson and Cecil Begay, Angela Johnson and Duane Ataddlety, all of Shawnee; son, Stanley Johnson of Shawnee; sisters and brothers-in-law, Wilma and Leroy Austin, Lou Downing, and Betty and Sandy Barnett, all of Oklahoma City; brothers, Richard Fields of Shawnee, James Fields of Shawnee and Tim Fields of Denver; 13 grandchildren, Scott Blanchard, Whitney Tiger, Alexis Fields, Kimberly Kernell, Ozzie Johnson, Chelly Kernell, Shania Begay, Mileena Ataddlety, Jacob Ataddlety, Asa Johnson, Charles Johnson, Athena Begay and Kellianne Kernell; numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Arrangements are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Eileen Webb
Eileen Webb, 83, of Shawnee died Monday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born July 4, 1919, in Yukon to Ralph and Mary Taylor. She graduated from Yukon High School, then earned a degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in 1941. She was an accounts payable clerk at OBU for 17 years, after her children were raised.

She married Frank Webb Jr. in 1939. He preceded her in death in 1946. On Oct. 19, 1947, she married Carl Webb.

She was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and taught Sunday school for 6-year-olds for 40 years. She also was a member of the Shawnee Madona Mothers Club.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; a granddaughter, Angela Hines; and a brother, Carroll Taylor.

Surviving relatives include her husband, Carl Webb of the home; four children and their spouses, Jacqueline Jean Berry and husband Dalton of Covington, La., Sharon Eileen Adams and husband Doug of Angleton, Texas, Terry Webb and wife Mary of Shawnee and Janet Gayle Zeug and husband Mark of Hopkins, Minn.; a sister, Happy Gettings of Yukon; a sister-in-law, Juynne Taylor of Oklahoma City; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Immanuel Baptist Church with the Rev. Larry Adams officiating assisted by the Rev. Sam Hendry. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Mable Glee Smith
Mable Glee Smith, 93, of Shawnee died Sunday in a local hospital.

She was born July 20, 1908, in Little, Okla., the daughter of John Wesley and Sarah Lou (Walden) Burt.

Smith grew up in and attended school at Keokuk Falls. She graduated from Cromwell High School in 1927. She married the Rev. Harvey V. Smith in the Immanuel Baptist Church parsonage in Shawnee on Nov. 28, 1928. She was a homemaker.

Following her husband's ministry, she was a member of the Draper Street Methodist Church. From 1959-63, she was a member of Macomb Methodist Church. From 1963-73, she belonged to Bethel United Methodist Church. After 1973, she followed her husband as he served as minister of visitation for Wesley United Methodist Church of Shawnee. She had lived in Shawnee almost all of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and five sisters.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Dan R. and Jo Smith of Granbury, Texas, and Ron and Trinette Smith of Shawnee; a sister and brother-in-law, Vay and Max Rogers of Phoenix, Ariz.; seven grandchildren, Tammy Oldham, Stacie Alford, Toni Deon Dalton, Pam Hodges, Kathy Dillon, Sarah Bishop and Susan Ingram; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services are 1 p.m. today at Wesley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Jeff Burris officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Arrangements are being handled by Resthaven Funeral Home.

Elizabeth Jean (Carson) Trent
Former Prague resident Elizabeth Jean "Betty" (Carson) Trent, 76, died Sunday at her home in Norman.
Services are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.

Michael Downing
Michael Downing, 62, of Ringling and formerly of Shawnee, died Tuesday at his home.

Survivors include his mother, Avis Downing of the home; brothers, Timothy Downing, Damon Downing and Brian Downing; and sisters, Deborah Jester and Genilee Taylor.

Services are pending with Spivey's Reser Funeral Home in Healdton.

Lela Pearl Click
Shawnee resident Lela Pearl Click, 89, died Sunday at a local hospital.

Survivors include one daughter, Shirley Ann Ford Marks, Shawnee; one sister, Edith Short, Shawnee; four grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home with the Rev. W.F. Crow officiating.

Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.

JoAnn Carolyn Carver
Norman resident JoAnn Carolyn Carver, 52, formerly of Shawnee, died Monday in Norman.

Survivors include her stepdaughter, Roberta Motes, Fletcher; five daughters, Janie Soto and husband, Tony, of Norman, Lynda Shafer and fiance John Yates, Oklahoma City, Robin Wertz, Chowchilla, Calif., Christy Carver, Oklahoma City and Traci Putman, Norman; nine grandchildren, including two whom she adopted and raised; two great-grandchildren, and many other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Havenbrook Funeral Home Chapel in Norman with Hugh English officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery in Norman.
