Lady Blanche Jamison
Lady Blanche Jamison, 80, of Pawhuska died Thursday in Arkansas City, Kan.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Kaye and Tom Wood of Shidler; sisters, Melba Eastwood of Denver, Colo., and Mamie Silvers of Agra; two grandchildren; one great-grandchild; other relatives and many friends.

Graveside services will be 3 p.m. Saturday in the Jamison Cemetery in Meeker.

Services are under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Frank G. Lunsford
Frank G. Lunsford, 77, of Shawnee died Tuesday at his residence.

He was born May 6, 1925, in Mountain View to Robert Guston Lunsford and Mary Frances (Penny) Lunsford.

He attended school in Mountain View.

Lunsford owned Bud's Audio in Bakersfield, Calif., where he sold and installed car stereos and electronics before retiring.

He married Karen Bledsoe in 1981.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Lunsford served on the Bowlers Board in Bakersfield.

He had been a Shawnee resident since April 1999.

Lunsford was preceded in death by his parents, brother, Everett Lunsford; sisters, Jessie Bottoms and Bessie McGlathery; and a son, Weldon Blackburn.

Survivors include his wife of the home; children and their spouses, Linda Perez of California, Gary and Cathy Erb of California, Janice and James Robb of Virginia, Wonda and Jon Johnson of California, Carol and Wraa Rose of California, Ruth Freeman of California, Milton and Dana Blackburn of Oklahoma and April and Weldon Whaley of Oklahoma; brother, Lee Lunsford; sisters, Beulah Mae Anderson and Murlene Whitley; 18 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews and other family and friends.

Memorial services will be 3 p.m. Saturday at Redeemer Lutheran Church of Shawnee, 39307 W. MacArthur, with the Rev. Gary R. Brandt officiating.

Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Memorial contributions may be made to Odyssey Hospice, 2212 N.W. 50th, Suite 246C, Oklahoma City, OK 73112.

Max E. Dodds
Max E. Dodds, 79, of Las Vegas, Nev., died Tuesday at his home.

Survivors include his wife, Murial Dodds; a daughter, Michelle Dodds of Las Vegas; a daughter and son-in-law, Margo and Barry Timms of Seminole; a brother, Ralph Dodds of Paducah, Ky.; and two grandchildren.

A graveside service will be 3 p.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park, with the Rev. Kelvin Moseley officiating.

Arrangements are being handled by Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Garrett Lane Geis
Garrett Lane Geis, infant son of Mike and Shelley (Halsne) Geis of Tecumseh, died Friday at a local hospital.

He was born Friday in Shawnee.

He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Reuben and Agnes Halsne and Norman Boettcher and Leonard Shepherd; and great-aunt, Thelia Halsne.

Survivors include his parents of the home; grandparents, Ivan and Carol Halsne of Raymore, Mo., and Les and Donna Geis of Shawnee; aunts and uncles, Jeremy and Traci Ring of Overland Park, Kan., Michael Halsne of Raymore, Mo., Billy and Michelle Walker of Moore, Okla., and Brent and Stephanie Barton of Piedmont; three cousins, Grayceson and Dayne Walker, and Blake Barton; great-grandparents, Robert and Norma Feeherty of St. Louis, Mo., Roy and Helen Geis of Gotebo, Okla., and Loretta Shepherd of Henryetta.

Private services were held Wednesday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Maurus Jaeb, O.S.B., officiating.

Burial was at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Thelma O. Moore
Thelma O. Flickinger Moore, 94, Shawnee, died Thursday at a local nursing home.

She was born Nov. 30, 1908, in Prospect Valley, W.Va., to Clinton and Christina Dawson.

She married Clyde Flickinger in 1928. He preceded her in death in 1965.

She later married R.V. Moore and he also preceded her in death.

Her parents and son-in-law, Dr. Roy Kelly, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Jeane Flickinger Kelly, Shawnee; two stepdaughters, Anna Belle Hidreth and Betty Ruth Bentley, both of Webb City, Mo.; four grandchildren, Roy O. Kelly III, Shawnee, Ann Kelly Goad, Jenks, Chris and Karla Kelly, Shawnee, and Pat and Roberta Kelly, Tecumseh; two sisters, Zella Baker, Gainesville, Texas, and Jeane Smith, Grove; and seven great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Magnolia Memorial Cemetery in Bristow with the Rev. James D. Sill Sr., officiating. Services are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Opal Alexander
Shawnee resident Opal Alexander, 87, died Thursday at a local hospital.

She was born Feb. 6, 1916, in Shawnee.

Alexander attended school in Shawnee and was a clerk for Finley's and Campus Cleaners.

On June 15, 1933, she married Carl L. Alexander in Shawnee. He preceded her in death in 1980.

She was also preceded in death by two sons, Delbert and Don Alexander; one daughter, Jane Waldridge; two brothers and one sister.

Survivors include six grandchildren, Vicki Renee Sayler of Ponca City, Dena Kay Foreman of Cleveland, Tenn., Terry DeJarnett of Moore, Delbert L. Alexander Jr. of Shawnee, Jane Wright of Noble and Walter Carl Waldridge of Crescent; 11 great-grandchildren; and four foster great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Glen Carter officiating at Fairview Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Vergie L. Flynn
Shawnee resident Vergie L. Flynn, 77, died Wednesday at a local nursing home.

Survivors include one son, Kevin Flynn of Highlandville, Mo.; one granddaughter, Heather Nicole Flynn of Inola; and one sister, Ruth Rachels of Missouri.

Funeral services will be 1:30 p.m. today at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Michael Smith officiating. Burial will be 4:30 p.m. Monday at Oak Grove Church of God Cemetery in Loranger, La. Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.

Lisa Ann Lane
Shawnee resident Lisa Ann Parker Lane, 52, died Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include her husband, Ken Lane; son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Leslie Dehart; her father, Owens Parker; brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Brenda; three stepdaughters Becki, Kristi and Nikki; her mother-in-law, Betty Lutomski; three grandchildren and several other relatives.

There will be private memorial services.

Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association or the National Kidney Foundation.

Arrangements are under the direction of Vondel Smith Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.

Henry Leroy "Skeeter" Wise
Henry Leroy "Skeeter" Wise, 66, Shawnee, died Friday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

He is survived by a son, Herschel Wise, Dallas, Texas; five daughters, LaNore Wise of Shawnee, Leona Kernell of Oklahoma City, Leatrice Lookinglass of Oklahoma City, Letha Wise of Tahlequah and Lou Ann Blanchard of Norman; 19 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and 16 nieces and nephews.

Services are 2 p.m. today at Middle Creek No. 2 Baptist Church, Hughes County, with the Rev. Houston Tiger officiating. Burial will be in Middle Creek No. 2 Cemetery under the direction of Stout Funeral Home.

Betty (Beal) Briggs
Betty (Beal) Briggs, 74, of Shawnee died Saturday at a local hospital

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Vicki and Jerry Duff and Becky and Bill McGowan, all of Shawnee; a sister, Ramona Cleek of Shawnee; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two nieces and their husbands.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Little Cemetery with the Rev. David Karges officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Swearingen Funeral Home.

Reba Ray (Sanders) Lott Frazier
Reba Ray (Sanders) Lott Frazier, 63, of Seminole died Friday at her home.

Survivors include her mother, Merle Sanders of Seminole; a son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Donetta Lott of Okeechobee, Fla.; a son, Jeffrey Allen Mason of Corcoran, Calif.; a daughter and son-in-law, Katherine and Brent Boardman of Ogden, Utah; a brother, David Sanders of Seminole; four grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

A graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Maple Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Whitfield officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Swearingen Funeral Home.

Jewel Josephine Koehler
Jewel Josephine Koehler, 85, Wanette, died Friday in Shawnee.

She was born Dec. 24, 1916, in Minco to Charles and Lottie (Coffee) Roach. A longtime resident of Pottawatomie County, she grew up in Macomb and Wanette and graduated from Wanette High School.

She was a homemaker. She taught Sunday school for many years and was active in WMU at First Baptist Church of Wanette, where she was a member.

She was preceded in death by her parents, a grandson, eight sisters and two brothers.

Survivors include her husband, Louis Koehler, of the home; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Ann and William Cobb of Tecumseh, Judy and Paul Lambert of Oklahoma City and Sue Koehler, Oklahoma City; two sons and daughters-in-laws, Bill and Jana Koehler of Tulsa and Mark and Burnis Koehler, Springdale Ark.; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a brother-in-law, Pete Neal, Tulsa.

Services are 1 p.m. Wednesday at First Baptist Church of Wanette with the Rev. Virgle Calvert and the Rev. Larry Stevenson officiating. Burial follows in Wanette Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Visitation is 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Home in Tecumseh and 9 a.m. to noon Wednesday at Cooper Chapel in Wanette.

The family has designated the American Cancer Society or First Baptist Church of Wanette for memorials.

Clara V. Mills
Clara V. Mills, 86, Shawnee, died Sunday at a local hospital.

She was born May 30, 1915, in Russell, Kan., to Johannes P. and Katherine E. (Ehrlich) Herdt. She moved to Shawnee in 1944 from Little Rock, Ark., to manage Kinney's Shoes. She later became manager of Ardens Dress Shop.

She married David Mills on Aug. 28, 1948, in Shawnee. He preceded her in death Dec. 18, 2001.

She was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a Cub Scout Den Mother.

Also preceding her in death were her parents; a daughter, Mary Lou Ransom; two brothers, Leo Herdt and Siegmond Herdt; and a sister, Helen Berry.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Chuck and Karen Mills, Shawnee; a daughter, Beverly A. Hughes, St. Petersburg, Fla.; grandchildren, Britan and Kurstyn Mills of Shawnee, Pamela A. French and Michael French of Oklahoma City, Gina Rector of Broken Arrow and Gene Lain Jr. of Durant; three great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene Bender of Russell, Kan., and Rosa Bender, Wichita, Kan.; and a brother Paul Herdt, Odessa, Texas.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel with Bill Matthews and Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

William Thompson
William "Vic" Thompson of Tecumseh died Saturday at the age of 86.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Tecumseh Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Jewel Koehler
Jewel Koehler, 85, of Tecumseh died Friday in Shawnee.

Services are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Francis Scott Winn Jr.
Francis Scott Winn Jr., 71, of Tecumseh died Thursday.

Survivors include his wife, Marion Winn of the home; daughter, Linda Garrett of San Pedro, Calif.; stepdaughter, Valerie Lackie of Oxnard, Calif.; stepson and his wife, Doug and Dee-Anna Lackie of Tecumseh; two sisters, Eudora Annis of Indianola and Mayme Marzahn of Flatonia, Texas; six grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church of Tecumseh with Mack Pearcy officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Cemetery of Midwest City. Arrangements under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.
