Clarence E. Cobb
Former Macomb resident Clarence E. "John" Cobb, 91, Frederick died Saturday in Oklahoma City.

He was born March 2, 1912, in Calvin, the son of George Washington Cobb and Ann Elizabeth Burden Cobb.

He was a veteran of World War II, and was stationed in England.

He lived most of his life in Macomb, and spent the last 10 years in Frederick.

He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Lee, Ed, Sam, Henry and Bob, and sister, Nellie Mosier.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews in the Shawnee and Tecumseh area and in Texas, and special friend and caretaker, Mrs. Adelia Hill, Frederick.

A service will be planned at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Demuth Funeral Home, Oklahoma City.

Zygmund W. Giza
Zygmund W. Giza, 33, died Sunday at his Shawnee home.

He was born to Zygmund O. and Ruth (Woodward) Giza on June 7, 1969, in Midwest City. He graduated from Liberty Academy of Shawnee and was a used car dealer.

He lived in Shawnee most of his life and was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and the quartet "Bought Back."

Survivors include his daughter, Kaitlyn Giza, of the home; parents, Zygmund O. and Ruth Giza, Shawnee; brother, Joshua Giza, Shawnee; sister and brother-in-law, Yalonda and Brent Ferris, Oklahoma City; nephews, Caleb, Palmer and Reese Ferris, Oklahoma City, and grandmother, Naomi Greenwood, Okemah.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Matthews and the Rev. Phil Thompson officiating. Burial will be at Tecumseh Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Memorials may be made to the Liberty Baptist Church Scholarship Fund.

Dorothy Helen Todd Wynn
Former Shawnee resident Dorothy Helen Todd Wynn, 71, died Friday in a Lafayette, La., hospital.

She was born Jan. 20, 1932, in Shawnee, the daughter of William Todd and Helen (Dubose) Wynn. She lived in Shawnee for 19 years. She began teaching piano at age 13 and, during her high school years, she accompanied high school choirs, musicals and played the organ for church. She graduated from Shawnee High School in 1950.

Wynn attended Oklahoma Baptist University, where she was a member of Sigma Alpha Iota, an international music fraternity for women. She transferred to Oklahoma City University, where she was a student senate representative. She also taught at OCU. She graduated with bachelor of music and bachelor of education degrees.

While living in Tulsa, she accompanied choirs at Boston Avenue Methodist Church and later at Methodist churches in Midland, Texas, and Houston, Texas, and at Asbury United Methodist in Lafayette, La. While in Lafayette, she played in the Asbury bell choir and taught Sunday School.

She also attended the University of Louisiana and was a member of Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. She taught piano for 35 years, was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution, and was active in Sigma Alpha Iota, serving as vice president for four years.

On Sept. 4, 1954, she married Lester Lee Wynn. He preceded her in death in 1981.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Karen Doreen Wynn and her husband Joe Nemetz of New Orleans, La.; two sons, David Arlis Wynn and his wife Tammy of Lafayette, La., Bryan Lee Wynn and his wife Charlotte of Destrahan, La.; four grandchildren, Brennan Lee Wynn, Taylor Ray Wynn, Caitlin Wynn Nemetz and Connor Joe Wynn Nemetz.

Graveside service will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fairmont Cemetery in Follett, Texas, with the Rev. Chris Ford officiating. Mason Funeral Home in Shattuck is in charge of arrangements.

Memorials may be made to the La Nouvelle' Voix Vthe Acadienne Club International Laryngectomy Society, in care of Mason Funeral Home, P.O. Box 695, Shattuck OK 73858.

Kenneth Keith James
Prague native Kenneth Keith James, 81, died Monday in Wildomar, Calif.

Services are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.

Alta Mae Hall
Alta Mae Hall, 95, of Shawnee died Wednesday at a Mustang Nursing Home.

Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service. Further announcements will be made by Walker Funeral Service.

Roy Lee Bullion
Roy Lee Bullion, 84, Shawnee, died Sunday at his residence.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Other arrangements are pending with Resthaven Funeral Home.

Claude Dallas Riley
Claude Dallas Riley, 86, Oklahoma City, formerly of Earlsboro and Shawnee, died Tuesday.

Survivors include his wife, Dorris "Billie" (Eidson) Riley, Oklahoma City; daughter, Rita, Oklahoma City; sister, Grace; brothers Randall, John and Walter, all of Maryland; and several other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Services will be noon Friday at the South Colonial Chapel of Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuaries. Services are under the direction of Vondel L. Smith and Son Mortuaries, Oklahoma City. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery.

Frances E. Stewart
Frances E. Stewart, 79, of Tecumseh died Monday in Norman.

She was born June 29, 1923, in Mississippi County, Mo., to Lindsey and Opha (Kennedy) Baker.

Stewart attended Diehlstadt High School in Missouri. She was raised in Mississippi County, Mo.

In 1944, she married Chester Stewart in Blyville, Ark. Following her marriage, Stewart lived in St. Louis, Mo., until moving to Tecumseh in 1987.

She worked as a secretary at TRW Manufacturing in St. Louis, Mo.

Her parents, two sisters and one brother preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband; one daughter, Patricia Ann Stewart of Tecumseh; one grandson, Kevin Lynn of Springfield, Mo.; one great-grandson; six sisters, three brothers and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Bob Anderson officiating. Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh is in charge of arrangements.

Anna B. Smith
Anna B. Smith, 87, of Great Mills, Md., formerly of Shawnee, died Monday.

She was born May 5, 1915, in Shawnee to James Mont and Maggie Lee (Brewster) Staten.

Smith grew up in Shawnee and graduated from Shawnee High School.

She was a homemaker.

She married Lloyd Wayne Smith. He preceded her in death on Nov. 15, 1992.

Smith was a member of the Immanuel Baptist Church of Shawnee. She moved to St. Mary's County in Maryland in 2001.

She also was preceded in death by her parents; six brothers and sisters, Alma Ledford, Harley Bouse, Velma Graham, Clara Coors, Shady Staten and Burnace Staten.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Sam Hendry officiating. The family will receive visitors at the funeral home from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. Friday. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.

The family has designated the Immanuel Baptist Church Building Fund as appropriate for memorials.

Jessica Costa Yort
Jessica Costa Yort, 45, of Shawnee died Tuesday at a local hospital.

She was born Oct. 6, 1956, at El Monte, Calif., to Sal and Marie Bautista and Bobby and Sandy Costa.

She graduated from El Monte High School and received her degree in nursing from Seminole State College.

Yort was a registered nurse for 12 years, working at Shawnee Regional Hospital and Southwest Orthopedic Surgery Center in Oklahoma City as an emergency room nurse.

She married Danny Yort on June 29, 1996, in Shawnee.

She was preceded in death by a sister.

Survivors include her husband, Danny Yort of the home; her parents, Sal and Marie Bautista of Shawnee and Bobby and Sandy Costa of Hemet, Calif.; two daughters and one son-in-law, Lisa McMurray of Shawnee and Gina and Steve Allen of Tulsa; four grandchildren, Hunter Tristen Boyd, Ryan Allen, Keely Allen and Paige Allen; three brothers and four sisters.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Baptist Church with the Rev. Richard Stillwell officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Allie Pitman
McLoud resident Allie Pitman, 94, died Wednesday at a Harrah nursing home.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at the McLoud Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Further announcements will be made by Walker Funeral Service.

Patricia Grace Visnieski
Patricia Grace Visnieski, 46, died Monday in Harrah.

Surviving relatives include her mother, Alene Orcutt of Yukon; a son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Amy Visnieski of Harrah; a daughter, Katrina Visnieski of Choctaw; a brother, Cecil Messer Jr. of Yukon; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Sandy and R.D. Mayabb of Pendergrass, Ga., and Debra and Brian Perkins of Guthrie; two grandsons and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation with family and friends will be 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Harrah News Office.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah with the Rev. Alan Loth officiating. Burial will follow at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.

Nikki Joe Graham
Nikki Joe Graham, 45, died Monday in Harrah.

Surviving relatives include a daughter, Brande Graham, and a son, Ryan Graham, both of Madison, Ala., four brothers and three sisters-in-law, Chris and Melanie Graham of Harrah, Anthony and Linda Graham of Guthrie, Steven Graham of Oklahoma City and Greg and Gail Graham of Blanchard; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Visitation with the family is 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at First Baptist Church in Harrah with the Rev. Alan Loth officiating. Burial will follow at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery in Harrah. Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.

Donald Abraham Cline
Donald Abraham Cline, 78, of Seminole died Tuesday at a Norman hospital.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Nadine Cline of the home; three sons, Ronald Lynton of Alvin, Texas, Chester Lynton of Clovis, N.M., and Michael Barrett of Seminole; a brother, Jackie Cline, and a sister, Betty Hester, both of Seminole; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Floyd Tate officiating. Burial will be in Little Cemetery.

Dr. George Henry Davis
Dr. George Henry Davis, 86, of Seminole died Tuesday at a Seminole hospital.

Surviving relatives include a son, George Starr Davis of Shawnee; a daughter, Annelt Davis Allen of Seminole; three brothers, John Kelley of Hartville, Ark., Albert Kelley of Phoenix, Ariz., and David Kelley of Seminole; three sisters, Leila Bennett of Phoenix, Ariz., Irene Lockhart of Tulsa; and Alice Tregla of Sunnyville, Calif.; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Services are 10:30 p.m. Friday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Davis Karges officiating. Burial will be in Maple Grove Cemetery. Swearingen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
