Margaret K. Kelsay
Margaret K. Kelsay, 84, Meeker, died Sunday at a local hospital.

Surviving are two sons, Bruce Kelsay and wife Marcie of Dayton, Ohio, and David Kelsay and wife Jean of Meeker; one brother, Russell Little and wife Estel of McLoud; one sister, Carolyn Brown and husband Roy of Hemet, Calif.; two sisters-in-law, Dr. June Kelsay of Gunter, Texas, and Verdie Kelsay of Oklahoma City.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Funeral Home with the Rev. Jim Howe officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Lou Alice Hamlin
Lou Alice Robison Hamlin, 82, of Shawnee died Sunday in Shawnee.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church of Shawnee.

Other information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Joyce L. Hembree Parker
Joyce L. (Hurst) Hembree Parker, 69, of Tecumseh died Monday in Shawnee.

She was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Saint Louis, Okla., to R.E. and Faye (Lovelady) Hurst.

She attended Saint Louis schools and grew up in the Saint Louis and Maud area. She lived in Shawnee and Tecumseh most of her life.

In 1950, she married Carl Hembree.

She worked as a waitress.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Lorene Guadagna and Neva Knight.

Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Karen (Hembree) and David Caison of Wellington, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Stephen and Mavis Hembree of Tulsa; sisters and brothers-in-law, Helen Jean Patton of Ozark, Ala, Eldean and Lester Wing of Shawnee, Margaret and Kent French of Elk Grove, Calif., and Patricia Thompson of Harjo; brothers and sisters-in-law, James and LaQuita Hurst of Tecumseh and Jack and Doris Hurst of Shawnee; grandchildren, Carla (Caison) Guajardo of Childress, Texas, Ann (Caison) Haynes of Burlingame, Kan., and Tiffany Hembree of Tulsa; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Tecumseh Cemetery with Reed Lynn officiating. The casket will remain open at the funeral home until 1:30 p.m. Thursday and not be opened at the cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Lela J. Carter
Lela J. Carter, 43, of Meeker died Saturday.

She was born Oct. 17, 1959, in Dallas to James and Rosa Carter.

She attended Meeker schools and Carter Seminary in Ardmore.

She was employed at Wolverine.

She was a member of the Sac and Fox Nation.

She was preceded in death by her father, James Carter; a brother, Andrew Carter; and an aunt, Lucille Brown.

Survivors include her children, Tara Carter and Bradlee Carter, both of Meeker; mother, Rosa Carter of Meeker; brothers and sisters, Delores Carter, Maxine Carter, Lois Carter, Letha Carter, Thomas Carter, Frank Carter and Larry Carter, all of Meeker; grandchildren, Darren Carter and Seinna Carter; an aunt, Pauline Johnson of Norman, and numerous other relatives.

Tribal rites will be 6 p.m. at Rosa Lee Carter's home.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Wednesday, with the Rev. Gene Harjo officiating. Burial will follow at Wakolee Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.

Charles Frank Shelton
Charles Frank Shelton, 79, a native of Shawnee, died Saturday at a local hospital.

He was born Mothers' Day, May, 13, 1923, to John Logan and Blanche Day Shelton.

In 1935, Shelton and his brothers formed the Shelton Brothers Quartet and performed on KGFF and throughout the region.

He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1942, and served in the U.S. Army during World War II with the 11th Airborne Division.

During the next half century, he continued to sing on radio and television in the Midwest and South as well as California.

He was in banking for 40 years in Oklahoma and California. He was president of banks in both states.

In the last few years, he and his wife entertained in nursing homes in a four-city area playing and singing together for residents.

Survivors include his wife, Euleane Shelton of the home; stepdaughter, Sheila E. Gay of Shawnee; stepson and his wife, William and Ahn Clothier of Torrance, Calif.; stepgrandchildren, Eric W. Gay of Shawnee, Nathan Aaron and Montez Gay of Shawnee and Bridgette and Benjamin Clothier of Torrance Calif.; sisters, Rachel Johnson of Plainview, Texas, and Naomi Akins of Shawnee; brothers, John L. Shelton of Shawnee, Harvey Day and Marylyn Shelton of Midwest City, and Glyn and Vicki Shelton of Boise, Idaho; two stepgreat-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and many friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at Liberty Baptist Church with the Rev. Bill Matthews, the Rev. Phil Thompson and the Rev. Larry Goins officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home.

Lawrence Earl Simon
Lawrence Earl Simon, Chandler, 79, died Monday.

Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Melvadene Simon of the home; seven children, John Simon and wife Cecilia, Chandler; Marie Edgemon and husband Paul, Oklahoma City; Joyce Sparks and husband John of Chandler; Judith Miller of Chandler; Joe Simon and wife Liz, Chandler; Janet Felton and husband Tim, Chandler; and Jocelyn Wilbanks and husband John, Chandler; 23 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren; five brothers and sisters, J.A. Simon of Norman, Beryl Pickett of Oklahoma City, Teresa Mehan of Oklahoma City, Sister Mary Alvera of Fort Smith, Ark., and Charles Simon of Ozark, Ark., and other relatives.

Visitation will be 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. today at Our Lady of Sorrow Catholic Church in Chandler. A wake service will be at 7 p.m. at the church.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the church with the Rev. Lafferty officiating. Burial will follow at the Catholic cemeteryin Chandler under the direction of Brown's Funeral Home in Luther.

Bobby Dean Miller
Bobby Dean Miller, 59, Chandler, died May 1.

Survivors include his wife, Judith Miller of the home; mother, Wilma Miller of Chandler; four children, Bobby Miller and wife Ann, Marlow, Ron Miller of Chandler, Joe Duncan and wife Leslie, Chandler, and Kristel Greenfield and husband Greg, Chandler; nine grandchildren; sisters, Pam and Deanna; and several other relatives.

Graveside services were May 3 at the Pleasant Ridge Cemetery with the Rev. Keith Cole officiating.

Services were under the direction of Brown's Funeral Home of Luther.

Jackie Ruth Rounsaville
Jackie "Nanny" Ruth (Hensley) Rounsaville, 69, Shawnee, died Monday at a Midwest City hospital.

She was born Jan. 10, 1934, in Konawa to O.R. "Dick" and Maudie Hensley.

She married Charles E. Rounsaville on Aug. 6, 1951, in Konawa. They moved to Shawnee in 1954.

She was a homemaker.

She attended First Nazarene Church in Shawnee.

Her parents, three brothers and three sisters preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband, Charles E. Rounsaville of the home; two sons and daughters-in law, Ron and Barbara Rounsaville, Edmond, and Gerald and Gina Rounsaville of Tecumseh; daughter, Shirley Rounsaville of Shawnee; two sisters, Ellie Sparks of Konawa and Clara Adams of Marietta, Texas; eight grandchildren, Shawn, Roni Charlene, Ryan, Kristen, Kelby, Dustie, Stormy and Trevor; and four great-grandchildren, Shelby, Rosie, Kiley and Cheyenne.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Thursday at Konawa Cemetery with the Rev. Harold Blankenship officiating.

Services are under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home of Konawa.

Dominic Morales
Dominic "Jose" Morales, 64, of McLoud died Sunday in Midwest City.

He was born April 1, 1938, in Ponce´, Puerto Rico, to Dominico and Ramona (Gonzales) Morales.

He had lived in Massachusetts and New Hampshire before moving to the Tecumseh and McLoud area in 1974.

He married Debbie Belaski in November 1979 in Daly City, Calif.

He boxed professionally until 1974 and continued as a boxing trainer until 1990. He also worked in roofing and construction as owner and operator of Don's Roofing for 20 years.

He served in the U.S. Army.

He was a long-0distance runner, competing in the Boston Marathon for 13 consecutive years and was an active member of St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church of McLoud.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Nettie Alcay; and a brother, Ismael Gonzales.

Survivors include his wife, Debbie S. Morales of the home; three daughters and one son-in-law, Monica and Will James of Tecumseh, Nattie Morales of McLoud, and Christie Campbell of Austin, Texas; five sons and future daughter-in-law, Mark Morales of Boston, Mass., Michael Morales of Boston, Mass., Anthony Rodriguez and Tracy Greenlee of Shawnee, Shawn Morales of Shawnee and Nicolas Morales of McLoud; one sister, Martha Olavarria of Mesquite, Texas; three grandchildren, Brooke Greenlee, Jayden Greenlee and Riley Greenlee; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Wake services will be 7 p.m. Wednesday at Cooper Chapel in Tecumseh. A mass will be 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Vincent DePaul Catholic Church of McLoud with the Rev. Eugene Marshall officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery in Shawnee under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Donald Herbert Searle
Donald Herbert Searle, 69, of Lawton died Tuesday at his home.

Services are pending with Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee.

Lou Alice Hamlin
Lou Alice Robison Hamlin, 82, Shawnee, died Sunday in Shawnee.

She was born March 12, 1921, in Tecumseh to Judge Clarence and Irene Robison.

She attended Tecumseh High School and graduated in 1939.

Hamlin attended the Oklahoma College for Liberal Arts, East Central University and graduated from the University of Central Oklahoma with a bachelor's degree in liberal arts and education.

After teaching for one year, she worked in Oklahoma City for Robberson Steel.

She later entered civil service and was employed in Washington, D.C., as an executive secretary in the Department of Agriculture.

After returning to Shawnee, she worked as a legal secretary in her father's law office.

Hamlin was a pianist and organist and played for commencement services and other events at Tecumseh High School.

She also played for the Sunday school and church services at Colonial Estates Nursing Home for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one niece, Jo Nita Mathews, and one nephew, Clarence Mark Robison.

She was survived by two sisters and one brother-in-law, Louise Mathews Jennings and Edd Jennings, Oklahoma City, and Aggie Jo Millard of Annandale, Va.; one brother and sister-in-law, Dr. Clarence Robison, Jr. and Patty Robison of Oklahoma City; nephews, Bill Mathews, Bruce Millard, Dr. Timothy Robison, Dr. Paul Robison, John Robison and Stephen Millard; and niece, Rebecca Robison Stateler.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at First Presbyterian Church, Shawnee, with the Rev. Max Shumake officiating.

Memorials may be made to the Tecumseh High School Alumni Association, P.O. Box 304, Tecumseh, OK 74873.

Vida E. Herring
Vida E. Herring, 93, Shawnee, died Tuesday at a local nursing home.

She was born July 25, 1909, in Atlanta, Ga., to Henry Walter and Ola Buford (Barnett) Tate.

She moved to Earlsboro with her parents in 1914 and lived there until she moved to Shawnee.

Herring was a 1926 graduate of Shawnee High School.

She married Charlie R. Herring in 1941. He preceded her in death in 1979.

She worked in the floral business for more than 40 years.

After she retired, she did volunteer work for AARP and the National Association of Retired Federal Employees.

Her parents also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her son, Garry Earle Ryan of Choctaw; five grandchildren, Karra Sipes and husband Art, Garry Earle Ryan II and wife Jeanette, Paula Sendall and husband Kevin, Sharra Wilson and husband Cecil, and Marla Jeanie Padron and husband Eddie; eight great-grandchildren; one niece, Sandra Jean Brock; and sister-in-law, Helen Tate.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Services. The casket will not be opened after the service.

Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park under the direction of Walker Funeral Services.
