Jewel Rushing
Jewel Rushing, 83, Wynnewood, died Thursday at a Pauls Valley hospital.

She was born Aug. 14, 1919, in Okemah, the daughter of William Afton and Essie Lee (Bivins) Cobb.

She was reared in the Seminole and Shawnee areas. On Oct. 16, 1937, she married Elzia T. Rushing in Shawnee. He preceded her in death in 1968.

For many years, she worked for Archway Cookie Company in Shawnee, where she earned a position of supervisor. As the company expanded to Longview, Texas, she was transferred there to head up the opening of that facility. She later returned to Shawnee, where she worked several years at James Sausage Company. She moved to Wynnewood area in the early 1970s, where she made her home for the past 30 years. She was affiliated with the Baptist church.

Also preceding her in death were her brother, Tommy Cobb; three sisters, Virginia Blaylock, Evelyn Coley and Hazel Roberts; and one grandson, Scotty Larimer.

Surviving are her children, Shirley Larimer, Arnold Rushing and Helen Scribner, all of Wynnewood; five grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren; two sisters, Thelma Callaway of Sunray, Texas, and Irene Cobb, Wichita, Kan.; two brothers-in-law, Wayland Blaylock of Oklahoma City and L.J. Sullivant of Choctaw; and one sister-in-law, Linnie Rushing, Shawnee.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee with the Rev. M.E. Sellers officiating. Burial followed at Resthaven Memorial Park in Shawnee under the direction of Stufflebean-Coffey Funeral Home.

Quinton George Kneisel
Quinton George Kneisel, 78, Shawnee, died Friday at a local hospital.

Service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday. Further information is pending with Resthaven Funeral Home.

Claid Drew Bales
Claid Drew Bales, 51, Meeker, died Thursday.

Service is pending and will be announced by Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.

Clarence Joseph Trousdale
Shawnee resident Clarence Joseph Trousdale, 87, died Sunday in Shawnee.

He was born March 13, 1916, in Trousdale to Augustus Nelson Trousdale and Mayme Agnes Trousdale.

He graduated from Trousdale High School in 1932 and attended St. Gregory's Preparatory School and East Central University. He was married to Tava Stark for 56 years.

He served in the United States Army as a field artillery sergeant during World War II.

He was in business with his brother, Harold, at C&H Wholesale until he retired in 1983, then he raised Charolais cattle on his farm in Trousdale.

He was a member of the VFW, Elks Club, American Legion, Greater Shawnee Area Chamber of Commerce, St. Gregory's Alumni Association and Trousdale Alumni Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant daughter, brother, Ralph Trousdale, and an infant sister.

Survivors include his wife, Tava Trousdale of Shawnee; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna Sue and Rich Roberts of Shawnee; Bobbie and Bob Crowder of Stroud; sister, Agnes Lawson of Shawnee; brother, Harold Trousdale of Shawnee; seven grandchildren, Rick Crabtree, Todd Crabtree, Bruce Roberts, Julie McCarthy, Laurie Weddle, Brooke Roberts and Jordan Roberts; eight great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and many other relatives.

Vigil will be held at 7 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Service.

Mass of Christian burial will be noon Wednesday at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurus P. Jaeb, O.S.B., and the Rev. Charles Massoth, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery under the direction of Walker Funeral Service of Shawnee.

Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Benedict Catholic Church building fund.

Timothy C. Martell
Timothy C. Martell, 70, of Norman, died Wednesday in Norman.

Survivors include his sister and brother-in-law, Betty and Carmen Gentry of Little Rock, Ark., and many other relatives in the Norman and Shawnee areas.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church on the Rock in Norman.

Wanda M. Hurd
Wanda M. Hurd, 71, of Shawnee died Sunday at Unity Health Center, North Campus.

Survivors include her husband, Doug Hurd of the home; daughters, Rebecca Hurd and Roberta Hurd, both of Shawnee; son, Doug Hurd of Shawnee; nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Resthaven Funeral Home, with the Rev. James Walter officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Paul Frederick Uhlendorf Jr.
Shawnee resident Paul Frederick Uhlendorf Jr. died Friday in Shawnee at the age of 71.

Survivors include his daughters, Linda Trinko and Freda Reed, both of Shawnee; sister, Carol Pagel of South St. Paul, Minn.; four grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Fort Gibson National Cemetery with the Rev. Wayne Wilson officiating.

Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Margaret Radebaugh Hamilton
Margaret Radebaugh Hamilton of McLoud died Sunday at the age of 91.

Survivors include a sister, Elma Lucy, of McLoud, and many other relatives including nephews and nieces, Don Lucy, Roy Lucy, Faye Nielsen, Joe Lucy, Jack Lucy, Earl Powell, Joanne Hamilton, Robert Radebaugh, Georgiann Hancock and Joann Williams.

Memorials may be made to McLoud United Methodist Church and the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the United Methodist Church in McLoud. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah.

Arrangements are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.

Clara Edith West
Clara Edith West, 91, of Shawnee died Saturday at Golden Rule Nursing Home.

She was born Feb. 20, 1912, in Lincoln County Mo., to John Richard and Mabel (Kitson).

She married Listeen Oliver West on Dec. 13, 1930, in Shawnee. She was a homemaker and attended Bethel Temple Full Gospel Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, L.O. West, and a son, Carl Eugene West.

Survivors include sons and daughter-in-law, Leon and Freda West of Hutchinson, Kan.; Orville and Willa West of Hutchinson, Kan.; John and Carol West of Earlsboro; George and Linda West of Meeker; a daughter-in-law, Bonita West of Tecumseh; 16 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Jim Rutters officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Harmon Loyd Morgan
Harmon Loyd Morgan died June 29 in Lubbock, Texas.

He was born to John H. and Gladys F. Morgan in Shawnee and grew up in Oklahoma.

He served in the Navy during World War II. After the war, he worked in journalism as an editor on several Oklahoma newspapers. He earned his master's degree from the University of Oklahoma and his doctorate from the University of Southern Illinois. He taught at Texas Tech University in Lubbock in the mass communications department for 24 years before retiring.

Survivors include his wife, Lucinda Morgan; son, John Morgan; daughter and son-in-law, Lisa Morgan and Darron Shaffer; grandson, J. Heath Morgan, and several other relatives.

Arrangements are under the direction of Rix Funeral Directors of Lubbock.

Teddy Robert Kinnamon
Former Shawnee resident Teddy Robert Kinnamon died Saturday at his home in Kenefic. He was 58.

He was born May 18, 1945, in Shawnee and attended school at Ventura, Calif. He was Protestant.

He was a construction worker.

Survivors include his father, Theodore Roosevelt Kinnamon of Shawnee; mother, Bernice Roberta (Gravett) Rhine of Huntington Beach, Calif.; son, Teddy Ray Kinnamon of Victorville, Calif.; daughter, Tina Benson of Buena Park, Calif.; half brother, Todd L. Kinnamon of Lancaster, Calif.; three sisters, Wanda L. Meraz of Huntington Beach, Calif.; Loretta Moore of Huntington Beach, Calif.; Jimmie Sue Williams of Pollock Pine, Calif.; five grandchildren and many other relatives.

Services will be announced at a later date by Campbell Watts Funeral Home of Tishomingo.

Willa Dean Beets
Shawnee resident Willa Dean Beets, 78, died Sunday at a local hospital.

She was born Jan. 16, 1925, in Rosedale, the daughter of Elbert and Sallie Price. She attended school at Byars and Wanette and graduated from Wanette High School.

She married William A. Beets in Oklahoma City on April 17, 1946. He preceded her in death on Feb. 5, 1987.

She lived in Brentwood, Calif., for 32 years and moved to Shawnee in 1978. She was a longtime employee of Shawnee Discount Drug and was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church.

Also preceding her in death were five brothers, Joe Lee Price, Ray Price, Reda "Jinks" Price, Everett Clarence Price Sr. and Winston Price, and a sister, Bessie Batt.

Survivors include one sister, Pearl Ann Maner of Shawnee; niece and nephew and their spouses, Joann and Peter Moser of Shawnee; Everett and Linda Price of Phoenix, Ariz.; cousins Gearldean and Harold Watson of Tecumseh, and many other relatives.

Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Walker Funeral Service with the Rev. Jeff Burress officiating. Burial will be at Wanette Cemetery.

Paul E. Schmidlkofer
Tecumseh resident Paul E. Schmidlkofer, 76, died Thursday at Norman Regional Hospital.

He was born Aug. 16, 1926, in Shawnee to Frank and Nellie (Tascier) Schmidlkofer. He attended St. Benedict's Catholic School.

He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He later joined the U.S. Air Force and served during the Korean conflict and Vietnam before retiring in 1968. After his military retirement, he owned and operated the Criterion Barber Shop.

He married Carolyn LaPointe on Sept. 16, 1990, in Tecumseh.

He served five years as scoutmaster for St. Benedict's Troop 408, was a member of the VFW, former chairman of the Citizen Band Potawatomi Nation, initiated Indian bingo and was a member of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Seminole.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Vincent Schmidlkofer, Frank Schmidlkofer, Leo Schmidlkofer and Bernard Schmidlkofer, and a sister, Rosemary Glendenning.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Schmidlkofer, of the home; children and their spouses, Steve Schmidlkofer of Seminole; Timothy and Jackie Schmidlkofer of McLoud; Paul A. and Janie Schmidlkofer of Tecumseh; James and Eva Schmidlkofer of Okemah; Frank and Monica Schmidlkofer of Tecumseh; Patricia Schmidlkofer of Shawnee; Vincent Schmidlkofer of San Diego, Calif.; Natalie Schmidlkofer of Tecumseh; Paul B. Schmidlkofer of Durango, Colo.; Veronica Schmidlkofer of Tecumseh; Stephen LaPointe of Oklahoma City; Patrick Marsh of Oklahoma City; Sean Marsh of Shawnee; sisters, Rita Kusek of Oklahoma City, Mary Everett of Tecumseh, Teresa Schmidlkofer; brother, Joe Schmidlkofer of Sulphur; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren and many other relatives.

Rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. today at Resthaven Funeral Chapel. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Benedict's Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Leroy Ernest Williams
Holdenville resident Leroy Ernest Williams died Sunday in Oklahoma City at the age of 68.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Little Cemetery under the direction of Fisher Funeral Home in Holdenville.

Ralph Wade Edmundson
Ralph Wade Edmundson, 82, Shawnee, died Monday at a local hospital.

Services will be 10 a.m. Thursday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Service.

Helen B. Bromilow
Helen B. Bromilow, 85, of Earlsboro died Saturday at her home.

She was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Roanoke, Va., to Walter Hambrick and Lillie Hambrick.

She was a homemaker.

She married Donald Bromilow on July 21, 1947, in Kingman, Ariz.

She was a member of Seminole Victory Temple Foursquare Church. She served as a pianist for several churches for more than 50 years in southern California and was a Sunday school teacher for several years as well as various other jobs with churches.

She and her husband were foster parents to 67 children.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Claude Hambrick; and sisters, Dixie, Viola, Lannie, Galena and Lois.

Survivors include sons, Craig Artherton of Cottonwood, Ariz., Paul Ackerman of Corona, Calif., and Ronnie Ackerman of Skagway, Alaska; daughters, Nancy Franklin of Victorville, Calif., Carol West of Earlsboro, Linda Stanley of Riverside, Calif., Laura Bayles of Fontana, Calif., and Louise Cambrato of Rialto, Calif.; numerous grandchildren and other family and friends.

Graveside service will be 10 a.m. Friday at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Don Poe officiating.

Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.
