Reba G. Armstrong
Arlington, Tenn., resident Reba G. Armstrong, 77, died Friday in Germantown, Tenn.

Survivors include two sons, Monty Armstrong of Arlington, Tenn., and Tommy Armstrong of Selmar, Tenn.; brother, Leo French of Shawnee; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

A memorial will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Tennessee.

Service is under the direction of Memphis Funeral Home in Memphis.

Memorials may be made to the Susan B. Komen Foundation Race for the Cure.

Jess R. Caldwell
Jess R. Caldwell, 81, of Shawnee died Saturday at a local hospital. A service is pending with Resthaven Funeral Home.

Josephine Klotz Russell
Josephine Klotz Russell, 92, of Harrah died Friday in Midwest City.

Survivors include a daughter, Pat Russell of Harrah; a daughter and son-in-law, Suzan and Dean Schirf of Harrah; two brothers, Bill Klotz of Texas and Bernie Klotz of Washington; two sisters, Virginia Benedix and Polly Lane, both of Harrah; and two grandchildren.

A rosary will be recited at 6:40 p.m. Monday, followed by a wake at 7 p.m. at St. Teresa's Catholic Church. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Teresa's. Burial will be at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Asa Smith Funeral Service.

Daisy Audrey Montgomery
Daisy Audrey Montgomery, 84, of Evans, Ga., a former Davenport resident, died Friday in Evans.

Survivors include two sons, Joe James Grace of Kendrick and Raymond Lee Barrow of Oklahoma City; two daughters, Patricia Louise Shank of Evans and Deloris Sue Keith of Prague; three brothers, W.S. Wooden of Price, Utah, Joe Wooden of Orange, Texas, and Melvin Wooden of Stroud; three sisters, Juanita Deans of Shawnee, Goldie Webster of Price, Utah, and Priscilla Wooden of Pueblo, Colo.; eight grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Monday in the Davenport Cemetery with the Rev. Mike Mitchell officiating. Arrangements are being handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

Alene A. Hail
Alene A. Hail, 87, of Las Vegas died Friday in Las Vegas, Nev.

She was born June 11, 1914, in Crescent, Okla.

She was a nurse and a Baptist.

Survivors include two daughters, Rosebud Michener of Plano, Texas and Lillian L. Guillams of Las Vegas; two sons, Floyd Oliver Morgan of Farmington, N.M. and James H. Hix of Henderson, Nev.; two sisters, Adline Myers of Lugoff, S.C. and Lola May Ayers of Oklahoma City; a brother, Durrell Craven of Tryon; 12 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be 11 a.m. to noon Monday. A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Resthaven Memorial Park.

Arrangements are being handled by Rosech-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Jack K. Goodwin
Jack K. Goodwin, 81, of Bethel Acres died Wednesday at a local hospital.

He was born April 4, 1921, in Kentucky, the son of Lawrence and Sarah Goodwin.

Goodwin taught stringed instruments for 40 years. He was also a machinist.

He married Julia Bauman on May 25, 1963, at Frost Proof, Fla. He was a member of the 101st Airborne, serving in the Panama Canal during World War II. He also served in the South Pacific and the European Theater of Operations, where he was involved in the Battle of the Bulge. He earned the Purple Heart.

He was a member of the B.V.A. Association and was a fourth degree Knight of Columbus and a member of St. Benedict Catholic Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife Julia on July 26, 2000. Survivors include a daughter, Mary A. Goodwin of Bethel Acres; a brother, William L. Goodwin of Lebanon, Ohio; a sister, Elizabeth Goodwin of Ft. Thomas, Ky.; his stepmother, Elizabeth Goodwin of Ft. Thomas; 13 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be 9 a.m. Monday at St. Benedict Catholic Church with the Rev. Maurus Jaeb, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will be in Ft. Gibson National Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Rosech-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Richard Terry Riggs
Richard Terry "Red" Riggs, 63, of Macomb died Saturday in Norman.

He was born Jan. 2, 1939, in Dallas, Texas, the son of Lloyd Orville and Margaret Marie (Kemp) Riggs.

Riggs graduated from high school in Mesquite, Texas. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, having served as an Airborne Ranger.

He married Judith A. Sweeney Jan. 31, 1963, in Edgewood, Texas.

The couple moved to Moore in 1966. In 1974, they moved to Macomb. He graduated from Oklahoma Farrier's College in 1974. He worked most of his life in construction and owned and operated Kustom Bilt Inc. He was a member of the Lakeside Church of God in Norman.

Riggs was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Judith of the home; a son and daughter-in-law, Rick and LeGay Riggs of Wanette; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sonja and Carl Boston of Macomb and Laurie and Danny Bacon of Hubbard, Ore.; a sister and brother-in-law, Carole and Warren Monday of Marietta; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Ray and Jeanette Riggs of Lexington and Bill and LaDaria Riggs of Marietta; seven grandchildren, Matthew Riggs, Sarah Riggs, C.J. Boston, Joshua Boston, Kaitlyn Boston, Ashley Bacon and Kassie Bacon; four brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Trudy Sweeney, Carl and Wanda Sweeney, Jimmy and Jackie Sweeney and Eulan Jones; three sisters-in-law and one brothers-in-law, Ruby Chandler, Malline and Dick Ragan and Helen Petty; an uncle and aunt; and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A service will be 1 p.m. Monday at Lakeside Church of God with the Rev. Kenneth Adams officiating. Burial will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Small Cemetery in Edgewood.

Arrangements are being handled by Havenbrook Funeral Home of Norman.

Annie Dale Morris
Annie Dale Morris, 19, of Meeker died in a one-car accident Wednesday.

She was born July 16, 1983, in Bremerton, Wash., to Howard and Terri (Flowers) Morris.

Morris was a full-time student at Rose State College, majoring in Family Services and Child Development. She worked at the Tender Care Learning Center in Meeker.

She was a 2001 graduate of Meeker High School.

She was preceded in death by an uncle, Lynn Flowers.

Survivors include her parents; her sister, Ali Jo Morris of the home; her grandparents, R.T. and Carol Flowers and Herbert and Gayle Morris, all of Meeker; her namesakes, Ann E. McCready of Rogers, Ark., and Dale Flowers of Meeker; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at the Meeker High School gymnasium with Bro. Joe Sinko officiating.

Viewing and visitation will be at the Parks Brothers Funeral Service chapel in Meeker from noon until 8 p.m. today.

No graveside service will be held.

A private burial will be in Rossville Cemetery.

The family has asked that memorial contributions be made to Mammoth Missions Fund, P.O. Box 642, Meeker, OK 74855.

Arrangements are being handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Service.

Edna Mae LaViness
Edna Mae (Setzer) LaViness, 71, of Shawnee died Wednesday at an Oklahoma City hospital.

She was born July 21, 1930, in Mountain View, Okla., the daughter of Frederick D. and Georgia (McGlathery) Setzer.

LaViness worked as a private duty nurse and an animal rights activist.

She married Wendell D. LaViness in Sherman, Texas, on Nov. 6, 1952. She was a member of Central Church of Christ and was a former member of the Tecumseh Church of Christ.

LaViness was co-founder of the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals, Pottawatomie County chapter.

She had been a resident of Shawnee for more than 50 years.

LaViness was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Sidney Griffin.

Survivors include her husband, Wendell LaViness, of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Yuavonda and David Sperry of Shawnee; a son and daughter-in-law, Darren and Rachel LaViness of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Michelle LaViness and Donavon LaViness; a sister and brother-in-law, Vesta and Ernest Johnson of Shawnee; and many other family members and friends.

A service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Resthaven Funeral Home chapel with Dwyane Dennis and Don Sullivan officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memorial Park.

Arrangements are being handled by Resthaven Funeral Home.

Donna Sue Childers
Donna Sue Childers, 55, Shawnee, died Wednesday at her home.

She was born Feb. 25, 1947, in Pearson to Johnny W. and Leona M. (Trammell) Reeves.

Childers attended Shawnee High School and Charles School of Design.

She was a self-employed cosmetologist for more than 32 years.

She married Dean Childers on June 15, 1963.

Childers was a member of the First Baptist Church of Newalla.

Preceding her in death were her father, Johnny Reeves, step-father James Lewis, father-in-law William Childers, and brother-in-law Larry Schoemann.

Surviving are husband, Dean Childers, of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Sheila Childers, Harrah; daughter and son-in-law, Shelli and Eddie Ward, Crestwood, Ky.; four granddaughters, Lacey and Logan Childers and Ashley and Leslie Ward; mother, Leona (Reeves) Lewis, Shawnee; two brothers and sisters-in-law, John and Marianne Reeves, Tecumseh and Mack and Kathy Reeves, Shawnee; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Cathy Schoemann, Porum, Linda and Mike Marrs, Shawnee, and Ruthi and Randy Loftis, Shawnee; mother-in-law, Ola Childers; and many friends.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church of Newalla with the Rev. Griff Henderson officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Bell-Childers Foundation Hospice Quality Care, 921 S. Sooner Road, Del City, Okla, 73110-2041, has been designated as appropriate for memorials.

Ardith Kay Hofmann
Ardith Kay Hofmann, 54, died Thursday in Milwaukee, Wis.,

Survivors include her husband, Steve, and a sister, Judith Golbhardt of Shawnee and her family.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Arcadia Cemetery in Arcadia, Okla.

Arrangements are being handled by Brown's Funeral Home of Luther, Okla.

Geraldine Lehman
Geraldine "Geri" Lehman, 50, of Asher died Thursday at Norman Regional Hospital.

Survivors include her husband, Robert A. Lehman, of the home; her father, Luther Bratcher of Purcell; one son and daughter-in-law, Floyd and Kerry Lehman of Lexington; three daughters and one son-in-law, Jody and Tony Williams of Asher, Marcy Lehman of Asher and Crystal Lehman of Tecumseh; three sisters and brothers-in-law, Rosa and Loren Foutz of Seminole, Linda and Albert Lansdale of Purcell and Ollie and Mike Kane of Wayne; five grandchildren; one stepsister, Terry Rollins of Lexington; two stepbrothers and a stepsister-in-law, David Carroll of Purcell and Donnie and Joyce Carroll of El Reno; several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Wilson-Little Funeral Home Chapel with Sister Ollie Kane officiating. Eulogist will be Albert Landsdale. Burial will follow at Hillside Cemetery in Purcell.

Vera Carpenter
Vera Carpenter, 83, McLoud, died Thursday at a McLoud nursing home.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. Burial will follow at Dale Cemetery. Further announcements are pending with Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Rev. W.C. Brumbeloe
Shawnee resident the Rev. W.C. Brumbeloe, 88, died Wednesday.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Hilltop Baptist Church under the direction of Barnes and Johnson Funeral Home of Midwest City.
