Bellatti

Donnie "Penny" Bellatti, 67, died Jan. 13, 2000 at Comanche County Memorial Hospital in Lawton. Services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000 in the Lowell-Tims Funeral Home Chapel with Jan Ivan Oden officiating. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. at the Carney Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

She was born Aug. 2, 1931 in Hattiesburg, Miss. to Commadore and Eula Wardon. She lived in Altus for the last 18 years, moving here from Dothan, Ala. She married John Carl Bellatti, Jr. in 1966 at Freeport, Texas. He died in July 1978. Her hobbies included painting ceramics, reading. playing board games and spending time with her family.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Donnie Faye and Robert Whatley of Altus and Berl J. Jr. and Leticia Graham of Perry, Ga.; a daughter, Marilyn H. Graham of Walker, La.; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Joe L. and Ida Warden of Hattiesburg and Wayne Warden of Ellisville, Miss.; a sister, Gloria E. Ward of Montgomery, Ala.; five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, a son, Lanny M. Graham, two sisters and two brothers.

Bennett

Funeral services for Robert Lee Bennett, 90-year-old Altus resident, are set for 10 a.m. Friday at Kincannon Funeral Home Chapel with Kirk Tigert officiating. Burial will follow at Altus City Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. He died Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2000, at his home.

Bennett was born Dec. 11, 1909, in Altus, to Thomas and Anner Waldrop Bennett and grew up in Altus.

On Dec. 4, 1937, he married Goldie M. Robertson in Altus and they made their home here. He was a longtime member of Jehovah's Witnesses. He worked for the Chickasaw Gins for nearly 22 years and later worked for the City of Altus, where he was elected employee of the month in September of 1974.

He retired from the city in 1975. He enjoyed camping, fishing and gardening.

Bennett was preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Dee, Tom and J.C. Bennett and several half brothers and sisters.

Survivors include: his wife Goldie Mae, of the home; three daughters, Norma Jean Taylor and Sandra Bennett, both of Altus, Jeannette Fisher and her husband Rod of Traverse City, Mich.; one son, Jimmy Lee Bennett of Altus; two sisters, Ozie Fay Jones and Lillie Petzold and her husband Ervin, all of Altus; one brother, Mike Bennett of Springville, Ark.; 10 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter; several nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Bilbrey

Services for William Lowell Bilbrey, 75, Floydada, Texas, were held Friday at the First Baptist Church of Floydada. The Rev. Gene Hawkins officiated and burial was at the Floydada Cemetery under the direction Moore-Rose-White Funeral Home of Floydada. He died Jan. 19 at the Lockney Health and Rehabilitation Center.

He was born Sept. 5, 1924 in Olustee to John Burrus and Lena Leota Kyle Bilbrey. He attended Hollis schools and graduated from Hollis High School. He married Wanda Joye Pence Jan. 24, 1948 in Childress, Texas. She died Dec. 15, 1997. He moved to Floydada in 1969 from Lockney, Texas where he lived for approximately 20 years. He was a Lockney police officer and in 1992 retired as Justice of the Peace Floydada. He was a veteran of the United States Marines, a member of the Floydada Masonic Lodge and member of the Hollis Baptist Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Judy Atkinson of Plainview, Texas and LaDonna Waltman of Ashland City, Tenn.; a sister, Wilma Robertson of Midland, Texas; two grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorials to the Hospice Hands of West Texas, 103 S. Main St. Lockney, Texas, 79241.

Blevins

William Carey Blevins, 81, died jan. 2, 2000 in Altus. Services will be 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2000 at the Stewart Chapel in Hollis with Rick Simonson officiating. Burial will follow at the Gould Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service.

He was born May 11, 1918 to William Fountain and Maude Renfro Blevins in Mead. He married Veda Omega Morris Aug. 30, 1941 in Hollis. He attended Lahoma High School and was a custom combiner. He served with 10th armored division during World War II in the European Campaign. He was a multiple Bronze Star recipient for valor. He was a member of the American Legion. His hobbies included spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, fishing, playing cards and dominoes.

He is survived by his wife, Veda Morris Blevins, of the home; two sons and daughters-in-law, Dee and Jeanette Blevins of Plainview, Texas, Bari and Cindy Blevins of Amarillo, Texas; a daughter, and son-in-law, Janice and Max Turner of Amarillo, Texas; seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.

Brownlow

Gertrude Brownlow, 87, died Sunday in Quanah, Texas. Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at the Eldorado Church of Christ with Bill Osborne officiating. Burial will follow at the Eldorado Cemetery, under the direction of Stewart Funeral Service.

She was born March 25, 1913 in Eldorado to Albert Russell and Mary Belle Cox Webb. She attended Eldorado High School. Gertrude married Cecil Brownlow on April 16, 1931. She lived in Bartlesville for 17 years, before moving to Eldorado, where she lived for the next 45 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ, the Lion's Club Auxiliary, and Eastern Star.

She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; a sister, Dora Arminta Price and a brother, Maxgruder Webb.

Brundige

Jerry Max Brundige died Jan. 27, 2000, at Albuquerque, N.M. Memorial services will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 4, 2000, at Greer Funeral Home Chapel with Eddie Beard officiating.

Brundige was born Aug. 10, 1943, in Mangum. he was the son of Susie Belle Clancy Brundige and the late George Franklin Brundige.

He had worked as a computer operator, custodian and mortician in New Mexico. He was a member of the Catholic church.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Survivors include: his mother, Susie B. Clancy; four brothers, Earl and Andrew Brundige, both of Mangum, Billy Joe Brundige, Canyon, Texas and Raymond Brundige, Amarillo, Texas; three sisters, Virginia Lee Zinn and Bob of Mangum, Peggy Ann Kimmons of Grandbury, Texas and Judy Marie Niblo and Henry of Royce City, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Bryant

Dorothy Christine Bryant, 76, died Saturday. Graveside services were held today with the Rev. David Manney officiating. Services were under the direction of Stewart Funeral Services of Hollis.

She was born June 22, 1923 to Herman and Dora Spence Wheat in McGregor, Texas. She married Orvel H. Bryant Aug. 9, 1944 in Lawton. She was a housewife whose hobbies were sewing and being with her family. She moved to Hollis in 1960 from Tonganoxie, Kan. She was a member of the Baptist Church.

Survivors include three daughters and sons-in-law, Sharon and John Schlafer of Palmyra, N.Y., Mary and Alfred Howard of Hollis, Dorrie and Danny Watson of Hollis; a son, Ronald and Bonnie Bryant of Horton, Kan; a half-brother and sister-in-law Joe and Louise Summers of Waco, Texas; seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Orvel Bryant.

Burnett

Eunice Mildred Burnett, 92, former Eldorado resident, died Dec. 28 in Alexandria, Virginia. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Monday, Jan. 3 at the First Baptist Church in Eldorado with Ken Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home.

She was born Jan. 20, 1907 to William Otis and Mary Treaci Burnett. She lived in the Jackson County area for many years before moving to Wichita Falls, Texas to be near her family. Shehad been living in Alexandria to be near her son. She was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church in Eldorado. On Dec. 6, 1924 she and Willaim Otis Burnett were united in marriage at Quanah, Texas.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Bobbie Gribble, granddaughter Dorothy Lynn Gribble and grandson Dwight Burnett.

She is survived by son Col. Donald Burnett and wife Sandy of Woodbridge, Virginia; sisters Lois Spraddlin of Hollis and Dorothy Jackson of Dallas; five grandchildren, Rhonda Gordon, Nashville, Tennessee, Doug Burnett, Ashburn, Virginia, Vicki Norman, Woodbridge, Virginia, Todd Burnett, Chicago, Chuck McCarty, Road Rock, Texas; five great-grandchildren and a host of friends.

Campbell

Gladys Rose Campbell, Gardena, Calif., died Saturday, Jan. 15, 2000, in Placerville, Calif. Funeral services are set for 1 p.m. Thursday at Pierce Brothers Mortuary, 3918 Marine Ave. in Lawndale, Calif.

Campbell was born June 11, 1923, in Greensburg, Kan. and spent her youth in Oklahoma, graduating from Duke High School in 1942.

She was married to James Lowell Campbell in November of 1943, and moved to southern California in 1946.

She was ordained as a Christian minister. She loved to sing and minister to those in need, particularly the aged and the ill.

Survivors include: her husband of 57 years, James Campbell; five children; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. Her remaining sister, Treva Henderson, Lawndale, Calif., also survives her.

Carbonell

Funeral services for Dawn (Dee) Carbonell are set for 1 p.m. Jan. 15, 2000, at the Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Altus with Pastor John B. Johnson officiating.

Carbonell was born in New York. She had lived in Altus for a time but lived in Naples, Fla.. most of her life before moving to California, where she lived until her death.

She had served as a WAC at West Point. She had a great love for her family and friends. Her hobbies were video games and music.

Carbonell was preceded in death by her father, Harry Frashier; her mother, Jane Frashier; one sister, Jody Frashier and her husband, William Carbonell.

Survivors include: Cher and Frank Morgan, Altus; Cheri and Summer Morgan, Altus; Kim and Roy Deconto, Naples, Fla.; Leah and Harry Nolan, Naples, Fla.; Jill Paul, Naples, Fla.; Joe Frashier, Tampa, Fla.; Jack Frashier, Freeport, Texas and many nieces and nephews.

Clayton

Services for John Henry Clayton, 68, Frederick will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2000 at the Gish Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Grant Newton, pastor of the First Assembly of God, officiating. He died Jan. 2, 2000 in Frederick. Burial will be in Frederick Memorial Cemetery under the direction of Gish Funeral Home.

He was born Dec. 28, 1931 in Una, Ark. to Glenn Hudgens and Jessie Lois (Housley) Clayton. He attended the Victory Consolidated School. He was a truck driver and worked 34 years in the transportation industry. He lived in Tillman County for 52 years. His hobbies was playing dominoes.

Survivors include his father, Glenn H. Clayton; a daughter, Kathern Faye Clayton; a brother, Sherill Clayton of Frederick; three sisters, Dona Marshall and Willodean Kimbrell both of Frederick, Gloria Ann Robertson of Moore; a grandchild and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, one brother, Rudolph (Square) Clayton, a sister, Martha Jean Clayton.

Memorials may be made to the First Assembly of God Church, Frederick.

Copeland

Services for Willie Mae Copeland, 71-year-old Eldorado resident will be 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Corinth Baptist Church with the Rev. Don Ladner and the Rev. Mark Farr officiating. Burial will follow in the Eldorado Cemetery under the direction of Kincannon Funeral Home. She died at her home Monday.

She was born Feb. 3, 1928 near Eldorado to Henry Russell and Doska (Tackett) Hughes. She graduated from Eldorado High School in 1946 and married Gene Copeland Jan. 1, 1947 in Vernon, Texas. They made their home in Eldorado. She worked for several years in grocery stores in Eldorado and later as a nurse's aid for home health. She was past president of the Women's Missionary Union and taught Sunday school for many years at the First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Corinth Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and an infant sister, Bessie.

Survivors include her husband, Gene of the home; a daughter and son-in-law, Jenny and Dale Freeman of Amarillo, Texas; four sons and a daughter-in-law, Mike and Mary Fran Copeland, Randy Copeland of Eldorado, Tom Copeland of Altus and Joe Copeland of Wichita, Kan.; three sisters, Dorothy Alexander of Oklahoma City, Ruby Davidson of Vincent and Opal O'Bannon of Eldorado; three brothers, Russell Hughes of Dumas, Texas, H.R. Hughes and Andrew Hughes both of Oklahoma City, five grandchildren, two great-granddaughters, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Correa

Anacleta Correa, 99-year-old Altus resident, died Thursday, Jan. 13, 2000 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital. Services are pending with Kincannon Funeral Home.
