Raymond James, 86, of Jones died Sept. 3 in Jones.

Survivors include his wife, Carol James of Jones; stepdaughter and stepson-in-law, Debbie and David Nelson of Baltimore, Md.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. today at the Asa Smith Memorial Chapel in Harrah. Private interment will be at Fort Gibson National Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.

N. Joyce Miranda
N. Joyce Miranda, 76, of Chandler died Sept. 5 in Oklahoma City.

Services are pending with Parks Funeral Home in Chandler.

Gladys Mullen
Maud resident Gladys Mullen, 62, died Sept. 5 at a Seminole hospital.

Surviving relatives include her mother, Wanda Richards of Jenks; mother-in-law, Vera Mullen of Seminole; two daughters, Melissa Marquis and Teresa Anson, both of Seminole; three sisters, Betty Richards and Barbara Burleson, both of Jenks, and Georgia Mullen of Konawa; three grandchildren; four stepgrandchildren; and seven stepgreat-grandchildren.

Graveside service is 10:30 a.m. Monday at Wolf Cemetery with the Rev. Allen Wood officiating. The casket will be open for viewing at Swearingen Funeral Home until 9 a.m. It will not be reopened.

Kenneth Lee Gilliam
Longtime Rossville resident Kenneth Lee Gilliam died Sept. 3 at his home. He was 76 years old.

He is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Dwain and Susan Gilliam of Denver, N.C.; two grandsons, Ryan D. and Michael L. Gilliam, also of Denver, N.C.; one brother, Bob Gilliam of Woodward; sisters, Nathelda Faye Davis of Keizer, Ore., and Opal Pinkston of Oklahoma City; and other relatives.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Monday at Mammoth Baptist Church in Rossville with the Rev. Joe Sinko officiating. Burial will be at the Rossville Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

Cleo Rebecca Robertson
Cleo Rebecca Robertson, 94, died Sept. 5 at a local nursing home.

Survivors include daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Darrell Curtis of Shawnee and Drs. Catherine and Leroy Boyd of Starkville, Miss.; grandchildren, Cathy Curtis of Shawnee, Carol Schiel of Oklahoma City and Dr. Diane Boyd Schultz of Nacogdoches, Texas; brother Dale Snyder of Albuquerque, N.M.; and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Resthaven Memorial Park with the Rev. Richard Stillwell officiating. Flutist will be Dr. Diane Boyd Schultz, with a tribute by Carol Curtis Schiel. Services are under the direction of Resthaven Funeral Home.

Caroline Della Copeland
Caroline Della Eggar Copeland, 72, of Macomb died Friday in Oklahoma City.

Services will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Romulus Baptist Church with the Rev. David Karges of Seminole United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be at Romulus Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Barbara Sue Eddlemon
Barbara Sue Chaffin Eddlemon, 72, of Seminole died Saturday in Seminole.

Survivors include her husband, Jim Eddlemon of the home; two sons and a daughter-in-law, Jimmy T. Eddlemon of Quinton and Brian and Kendra Eddlemon of Seminole; two daughters and sons-in-law, Deanna and David Gilbert of Carbondale, Ill. and Melissa and Vic Auld of Seminole; and 10 grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 9 a.m. Monday at Little Cemetery, north of Seminole. Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Milda Martin Simck
Milda Martin Simck, 96, formerly of Prague, died Saturday in Houston.

Services are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Thelma Frances Bruza
Thelma Frances Bruza, 95, of Meeker died Friday in a Meeker nursing home.

She was born March 25, 1907, in rural Lincoln County, the daughter of John and Maude Taylor.

She grew up in the Meeker area and attended Meeker Public Schools. She married Jim Bruza on Feb. 25, 1926, in Tecumseh and worked in sales for Sears for 17 years, retiring in 1969.

She was a member of the Cheerful Home Demonstration Club for many years. She was a longtime member of the Meeker Baptist Church and later was a charter member in the establishment of Aydelotte Baptist Church. She lived in the Meeker/Aydelotte area most of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jim Bruza; a sister, Edith LaSalle; a grandson, Jimmy Don Henderson; and a great-grandson, Richard Dewayne Gouker.

Survivors include three daughters and two sons-in-law, Elizabeth Ann "Betty" and Leonard Crownover of Lake Elsinore, Calif., Helen Sue and A.C. Guillory of Newhall, Calif.; and Frances Joye Henderson of Meeker; a son and daughter-in-law, Jimmy Wayne and Guqueta Bruza of Oklahoma City; 12 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; a niece, Mamie Markwell of Meeker; a nephew, Larry Bolich of Lake Charles, La.; and a great-nephew, Bobby Fischer of Aydelotte.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at Aydelotte Baptist Church with the Rev. Ken May officiating. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery.

The family has designated Aydelotte Baptist Church as appropriate for memorial contributions.

Arrangements are being handled by Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Billie Ruth Pennock
Billie Ruth Pennock, 51, of Shawnee died Saturday in Oklahoma City.

She was born Aug. 23, 1951, in Clinton, the daughter of Bill and Genevieve (Meeks) Pennock.

Pennock was married to Bill Tiger from 1973 until 1985. She was a member of the Sac and Fox Nation.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include two children, Billy Tiger Jr. of Seminole and Crystal Tiger of Shawnee; three sisters, Barbara Pennock and Laura Jean Pennock, both of Shawnee, and Patty Ann Harjo of Seminole; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Robert and Dawn Pennock of Shawnee Mission, Kan., William and Donna Pennock of Cushing and Richard and Dawna Pennock of Stroud; two grandsons, Tyler Day Kauilty and Jake Jimmy Tiger; and numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws and friends.

A wake service will be 7 p.m. today at First Indian Baptist Church in Shawnee. A funeral service will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at First Indian Baptist Church, with Sandy Harjo, Wayne Wilson and Victor Cope officiating. Burial will be in the Wakolee Cemetery.

Arrangements are being handled by Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Verna Lorene Arterbery
Verna Lorene Arterbery, 84, of Chandler died Sunday in Chandler.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Darrell and Pam Arterbery of Chandler and Paul Arterbery of Stillwater; one sister-in-law, Geraldine Clarkson of Chandler; two grandsons, two granddaughters and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the First Baptist Church in Chandler with the Rev. Rick Blackwell officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Park Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Chandler.

James Donald Sing
James Donald Sing, 71, of Macomb died Sunday in Oklahoma City.

He was born Nov. 29, 1930, in Macomb, the son of Toby Sing Sr. and Martha (Carpenter) Sing.

Sing was reared in Macomb. He lived in Shawnee for a time and returned to Macomb, where he lived since.

He attended school at Romulus.

He married Nancy Jo Beene in 1951, then married Rita Mae Fisher in 1983.

He worked as a truck driver for LeeWay Freight and J.W. Welborn for many years. He won many honors for safe driving, including one for driving one million miles without an accident.

He was preceded in death by his father and two brothers, Raymond Sing and Jack Sing.

Survivors include his wife, Rita Sing; a son and daughter-in-law, Alan and Debbie Sing of Lawton; a son, David Sing of Shawnee; two daughters, Beverly Sing of Shawnee and Billie Jo Sing of Macomb; his mother, Martha Sing of Macomb; two stepdaughters, Melissa Lynn Beene of Noble and Carrie Ann Camp of Wanette;, eight grandchildren, Jerry Don Wall, Jay Sing, Derek Sing, Tyler Sing, Barbara Sing, Allyson Sing, Courtney Black and Taylor Riann Camp; three brothers and sisters-in-law, Toby Sing Jr. and Cheryl Sing, Paul and Rita Sing and Jim and Delores Sing; a sister and brother-in-law, Nora Lee and Don Doss; two sisters, Judy Sing and Betty Sing; a sister-in-law, Sandra Sing; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A service will be 10 a.m. Thursday at First Assembly of God of Tecumseh with the Rev. Chad Brodrick and the Rev. Robert Rider officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery.

The family has designated the Brown Cemetery Fund as appropriate for memorials. Donations can be sent to Brown Cemetery Fund, c/o First United Bank, 301 N. Broadway, Tecumseh, OK 74873.

Arrangements are being handled by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Alfonso Limon
Alfonso Limon, 58, of Harrah died Sunday in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy Limon of Harrah; four sons and daughters-in-law, Alfonso Jr. and Katherine Limon of San Antonio, John Lerma and his fiancee Kymberli Johnson of San Antonio, Antonio Limon of San Antonio, and Aaron Limon of Harrah; three daughters and one son-in-law, Janie Marie Limon and Richard Lozano of San Antonio, Denise Limon of San Antonio, and Adrianna Limon of Harrah; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Atalino Jr. and Rose Marie Limon of San Antonio, and Mike and Linda Limon of Port Aransas; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Magdalena and Hector Zamarano of Devine, and Juanita and Ramiro Ramon of Oklahoma City; 11 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Rosary service will be 7 p.m. Thursday at Hurley Funeral Home in Devine, Texas, with Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph's Catholic church in Devine, Texas. A visitation will be 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Asa Smith Funeral Service of Harrah.

Leslie Wyatt
Leslie Wyatt, 86, Prague, died Saturday in Prague.

Wyatt was born Jan. 2, 1916, in Belmont, Okla., to Mileage and Pearl (Thomas) Wyatt.

He was a grounds superintendent for the Oklahoma City Parks Department, where he worked on the city golf courses. After his retirement, he returned to Prague in 1979.

He married Daisy Merle Lacquement on Jan. 16, 1936, in Tecumseh. She preceded him in death on April 25, 1982.

His parents, three brothers, one sister and one son-in-law, Ervin Jones, also preceded him in death.

Surviving are his sons and daughter-in-law, Harold "Brub" Wyatt of El Reno, and Ronald and Marci Wyatt of Wichita, Kan.; daughters and son-in-law, Norma and Ed Hubbell of Meeker, and Carrol Jones of Wichita, Kan.; brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Rella Wyatt of Seminole; brother-in-law, Fred Lacquement of Wewoka; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. today.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Parks Brothers Funeral Chapel in Prague with the Rev. Bob Duncan officiating. Burial will follow at Prague Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Parks Brother Funeral Service, Prague.

Caroline Della (Eggar) Copeland
Caroline Della (Eggar) Copeland, 72, of Macomb died Friday in Oklahoma City.

She was born July 28, 1930, in Snomac, Okla., to Eley O. and Hattie May (Snellings) Eggar.

She lived in Oklahoma City for 50 years, working for Equitable Life Insurance for 30 years. She retired in 1976.

She attended school in Wolf. She married Jim Copeland on May 19, 1972, in Seminole.

Upon her husband's retirement from Tinker Air Force Base, the couple moved to Eufaula in 1990, then settled in Romulus in 1998.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Etta Dillingham and Rosalee Eggar; three brothers-in-law, Phillip Sales, Ed Galloway and Doc Dillingham; and one nephew, Keith Aldridge.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Chris and LouAnn Copeland of Norman and Jeff and Donna Copeland of Jones; sisters and one brother-in-law, Mary Galloway of Bella Vista, Ark., Elsie Sales of Oklahoma City, Barbara and Delbert Aldridge of Seminole and Patsy Gentry of Holdenville; brother and sister-in-law, Eley and Janice Eggar of Watonga; sister-in-law and spouse, Lila and Tony Barnes of Shawnee; brothers-in-law and spouses, Jack and Ellen Copeland of Romulus and Charles and Ramona Copeland of Shawnee; five grandchildren; three great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, including Toni, Cody and Joseph Wittman, Tristan Aldridge and Jennifer and Bianca Chibitty.

Services are 10 a.m. today at Romulus Baptist Church with the Rev. David Karges of Seminole United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Romulus Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Doris Arlene Nicely
Doris Arlene Nicely, 80, of Meeker died Sunday in Shawnee.

She was born Sunday, Oct. 2, 1921, in Sparks, the daughter of Ira and Zetta (Tolen) Costner.

Nicely attended school in Sparks, graduating from Sparks High School. She had lived in California for 35 years before returning to the Meeker area in 1991.

She was a homemaker and married Everett William "Bud" Nicely on Sept. 28, 1943, in Tulsa.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Everett Nicely, on Jan. 28, 1995; her parents; an infant brother; and a son-in-law, Lee Gunn.

Survivors include a son, William Everett "Bill" Nicely of Oklahoma City; a son and daughter-in-law, Ronald David and Terry Nicely of Meeker; a daughter, Diana Arlene Gunn of Holualua, Hawaii; a brother, Obie Costner of Chandler; two sisters, Ada Sage of Butte, Mont., and Velta Lee Jones of Piedmont, Okla.; eight grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Visitors may be pay respects until 9 a.m. Thursday Parks Brothers Funeral Service chapel in Meeker until 9 a.m. Thursday. A graveside service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in White Dove Cemetery in Sparks.

Arrangements are being handled by Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Prague.
