Former Maud resident Stacy Auguste Braman, 53, died July 5 at Peterborough District Hospital in Peterborough, England.

Survivors include his daughter, and son-in-law, Jennifer and Dan Kasper of Tulsa; sons and daughter-in-law Jeremy and Melinda Braman of South Daytona, Fla.; and Cpl. John Braman of Fort Sill; one brother, Frank Andrew Braman of Braintree, Mass.; two sisters, Kathy Pallin of Eugene, Ore., and Margaret Chosther of Keizer, Ore.; and four grandchildren.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Home Chapel in Seminole with the Rev. H.K. Griffin officiating.

Burial will be at a later date at Fairview Cemetery.

Service is under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Ronald E. Harris
Ronald E. Harris, 67 of Stroud died Thursday in Stroud.

Survivors include his wife, Almeta Harris of the home; two sons, Michael W. Harris of Stroud and Ronald G. Harris of Fort Cobb, Okla.; one daughter, Sandra Tate of Apache, Okla.; one sister, Georgia Noble of Stroud; 13 grandchildren; and numerous extended family across the United States.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Sac and Fox Community Center of Stroud with David Jones, Tom Morris and Larry Butler officiating. Burial will follow in the Sac and Fox Cemetery of Stroud. Services are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Stroud.

Clyde L. Bridges Jr.
Clyde L. Bridges Jr., 48, of Shawnee died Sunday at his home.

He was born Oct. 31, 1953, in Santa Monica, Calif., the son of Clyde Louis Sr. and Margie Marie (Lynam) Bridges.

Bridges graduated from Shawnee High School in 1972. He married Sharvella Hobbs on Oct. 17, 1987, in Shawnee. He worked at The Shawnee News-Star as a pressman for 14 years, until his retirement for medical reasons in 1991.

He served in the U.S. Navy for four years. He served on the U.S.S. Prairie, based in San Diego, from Aug. 21, 1972, until Aug. 20, 1978. He spent time in the Vietnam waters and in the Philippines. He received the National Defense Medal and the Vietnam Service Medal.

He was a member of the Disabled American Veterans' Shawnee chapter and Temple Baptist Church. He was a lifelong resident of Shawnee.

He was preceded in death by his father, twin infant brothers, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

Survivors include his wife, Sharvella Bridges of the home; three stepchildren, Charitie Byrd, Seanna Hobbs and Robert Hobbs; mother, Margie Bridges of Oklahoma City; a brother, Thomas Charles "Chuck" Bridges of Oklahoma City; a brother and sister-in-law, Greg and Terry Bridges of Shawnee; three step-grandchildren, Shevalla Hobbs, Mikey Byrd Jr. and Billy Batt III; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles and other family members.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Temple Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Craig officiating. Burial will be in Tecumseh Cemetery.

Gaskill-Owens Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

O.H. "Herschel" Hickman
O.H. "Herschel" Hickman, 95, of Shawnee died Sunday in Shawnee.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Orville White officiating.

Dr. Louis Loeffler III
Dr. Louis Loeffler III, 56, of Tecumseh died Sunday in Tecumseh.

Arrangements are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home.

Jewell Burt
Jewell Burt, 93, of Duncan died Monday at a Duncan hospital.

Services are pending with Resthaven Funeral Home of Shawnee.

Cora Belle Mathews
Cora Belle Mathews, 99, of Wewoka died Monday at a Wewoka nursing center.

Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Harper of Cromwell and Bernice Wilson of Tecumseh; one brother, Clyde Lovin of Konawa; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 1 p.m. today at Little Cemetery with Chris Stinnett officiating.

Services are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

Mellie Geneva Wood Caskey
Mellie Geneva Wood Caskey, 77, died Monday at her Tecumseh home.

She was born June 19, 1925, in Rush Springs to Fred David Pate and Neoma (Woodard) Pate. She was reared in Rush Springs and Duncan before moving to Chickasha at age 17. She had lived in the Shawnee area since 1978.

She owned and operated Wood's Christian Book Store in Shawnee from 1978 to 1990. She also had worked in electronics at Tinker Air Force Base and retired from Tinker in 1980 after 141Ž2 years of service.

She married George C. Wood on Nov. 3, 1945, in Chickasha. He preceded her in death in 1991. She married Erven Caskey in Shawnee on Oct. 26, 1997.

She was a member of Open Door Church, where she served in the Ladies Auxiliary. She also was a member of the Christian Booksellers Association.

Also preceding her in death were her mother and father, brother J.B. Pate, sister Carmie Freeman, stepdaughter Nadine Chronister, and two great-grandchildren, Megan Zenor and Cassidy Gresham.

Surviving are her husband, Erven Caskey, of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Janice and Dick Hinesley, Tecumseh; Jackie and Paul Vanderburg, Carrollton, Texas; son, Reginald Wood, Shawnee; grandchildren, Wendy Zenor, Kandy Robbins, Robin Pryor, Brad Vanderburg, Nicole Wood and Brandy Gresham; 23 great-grandchildren; brother, Bill Pate of Marlow; sisters and brothers-in-law, Virginia and Ben Rice, Duncan; Wanda and Joey Tannehill, Chickasha; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Medford and Elzora Wood, Houston and Beth Wood, and sister-in-law Fern Wood.

Memorials may be made to Open Door Church of God, 1200 N. Tucker, Shawnee OK 74801.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Open Door Church of God with the Rev. Art Bostic and the Rev. John Keeling officiating. Burial will follow at Arlington Memorial Gardens, Midwest City. Arrangements are under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

Vivian Farris
Bethel resident Vivian Farris, 82, died Monday at a local nursing home.

Services are 2 p.m. today at Blackburn Chapel of Bethel Acres with the Rev. Donnie Bond officiating. Burial will follow at Blackburn Cemetery under the direction of Gaskill-Owens Funeral Chapel.

She was born Feb. 4, 1920, in Tribbey to William and Estoria (Myers) Ayers. She graduated from Dale High School in 1937 and married Emil Clarence "ML" Farris, Feb. 4, 1938. She was a homemaker and a lifelong resident of Bethel Acres.

Farris was preceded in death by her parents; husband; two daughters, Reta Joyce Schaus and Bonnie Binau; two sons, Larry Ray Farris and David Leon Farris; a brother, Mike Ayers, and a grandson, Brian Schaus.

Survivors include three children, Emil Farris Jr. of Bethel Acres, Richard and Jan Farris of Muskogee, Pete and Brenda Farris of Bethel; 13 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Delbert Ayers of Bethel Acres and Warren Ayers of New Mexico; a sister, Mildred McVey of McLoud, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Lois Juanita Walters
Lois Juanita Walters, 88, died Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

She was born Aug. 27, 1914, in Okfuskee County, the daughter of Jesse L. and Dora (Denley) Fults. She was a resident of Prague since 1979. She was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church in Prague.

She married Cecil Leon Walters on Sept. 10, 1932. He preceded her in death on Feb. 2, 1979. She also was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and three sisters.

Surviving are two daughters, Jean Joy Eastep and Jo Ann Davis, both of Oklahoma City; two grandchildren, Lonnie Davis and Leon Eastep; and three great-grandchildren, Britinii Davis, Anthony Eastep and Lorie Eastep; four stepgreat-grandchildren, eight stepgreat-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be 2 p.m. Saturday in the First Baptist Church in Prague with the Rev. Tim Emmons officiating. Burial will follow in Prague Cememtery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Dorothy Grace Sparkman
Dorothy Grace Sparkman died Tuesday in Harrah at the age of 76.

Surviving are her husband, Bill Sparkman of the home, and brother and sister-in-law Junior and Corene Erbin of Harrah, and many other relatives.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Harrah United Methodist Church with the Rev. John Gober officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Harrah under the direction of Asa Smith Funeral Service. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Oklahoma County, Women's Cancer Fund, or Harrah United Methodist Church.

Gene Talmage York
Paden native Gene Talmage York, 77, died Monday in Milfay.

Survivors include four brothers and two sisters-in-law, Jim and Iris York of Oklahoma City, John and Doris York of Arkansas City, Kan., Bob York of Cushing, Fred York of Allen; a sister, Jewell Curtis of Los Angeles, Calif., and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graveside service will be at Stroud Cemetery at 2 p.m. Friday with Charles Jones officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Stroud.

Jodie VanBuren
Jodie VanBuren, 82, died Tuesday in Harrah.

Survivors include special friend, Maye Stivers; a daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Stephen Winfree of Sunnyside, Wash.; a son, Jim VanBuren of Carter; sister, Joyce Wayne of Elk City, four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Services are 10 a.m. Saturday at Harrah First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Eubanks officiating. Burial will follow at Carter Cemetery in Carter under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service of Harrah. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.

Kenneth P. Wright
Oklahoma City resident Kenneth P. Wright died Monday at the age of 68.

Survivors include one son, Kerry Wright of Oklahoma City; two grandsons, Kerry Jr. and Matthew Wright of Oklahoma City; a brother and sister-in-law, Grant and Betty Wright of Oklahoma City; four sisters, Irene Clement of Tecumseh, Bernice Menser of Palo Alto, Calif., Wanda Reed of New Sharon, Iowa, and Gloria Jean Newell of Washington, and many other relatives.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday at Baggerly-South Funeral Home Chapel with burial at Arlington Memorial Gardens of Midwest City.

Juanita Mae Goodreau
Juanita Mae Grass Goodreau, 71, Stroud died Monday near Stroud.

Survivors include one daughter, Paula K. Williams of Bethesda, Md.; brother, William Lloyd Grass, of Muskogee; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Friday at the Sac and Fox Community Center in Stroud with members of the Sac and Fox Nation officiating. Burial will follow in the Sac and Fox Cemetery in Stroud under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Stroud.

Janice Lorraine Stevens
Janice Lorraine Stevens, 51, Davenport, died Tuesday near Stroud.

Survivors include her father, Marvin C. Stevens, Stroud; two sons, Alan Paul Spang, of Temple, Ariz., and Roy Sam Spang of Stroud; four brothers, Marvin C. Stevens, Tempe, Ariz., David Wayne Stevens, Everett, Wash., Mark Allen, Midwest City, and Matthew Don, Oklahoma City; two sisters, Lisa Ann Stevens, Davenport, and Anita June Stevens, Bethesda, Md.; three grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. today at the Sac and Fox Community Center in Stroud with members of the Sac and Fox Nation officiating. Burial will follow in the Sac and Fox Cemetery in Stroud under the direction of the Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Stroud.

Irma Lafawn Bridges
Irma Lafawn Fleming Bridges, 71, of Seminole died Wednesday.

Survivors include two sons and one daughter-in-law, Victor Fleming of Houston, Texas, and Bruce and Linda Fleming of Oklahoma City; two daughters and sons-in-law, Vickie and Tom Smith of Norman and Pam and Curtis Morgan of Seminole; one brother, Gene Edwards of Brussels, Belgium; three sisters, Jean Thomason of Collinsville, Verna Valentine of Tulsa and Ginger Edney of Seminole; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Karges officiating. Burial will follow at Rest Haven Memorial Gardens in Seminole under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

David Scott Hill
Tulsa resident David Scott Hill, 61, died Wednesday in Tulsa.

He was born May 26, 1941, in Monroe, Okla., to Clark and Pauline Hill. He graduated from Monroe High School and Oklahoma State University.

Hill worked for Ernst and Young (formerly Arthur Young and Co.) in Oklahoma City.

He moved to Shawnee in the mid-1970s and opened a public accounting practice. He then moved to Eufaula and continued his accounting practice.

He was a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants.

In 1964, he married Pat Crouch. In 1988, he married Cindy Kuykendall.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clark Hill.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Cindy Hill of Tulsa; a son, Shannon Hill of Gaithersburg, Md.; his mother, Pauline Hill of Poteau; a brother, Gary Hill of Wilburton; a sister, Carolee Barentine of Fort Smith, Ark; and several other relatives.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at the chapel of Walker Funeral Service. Burial will be at Floral Haven Cemetery in Tulsa under the direction of Walker Funeral Service.
