Michael Kochick
Michael Kochick, 79, of Tecumseh died Wednesday in Oklahoma City.

He was born April 11, 1923, in Hopelawn, N.J., to Michael Kochick Sr. and Julia (Bayok) Kochick.

He spent four years during World War II in the Army Air Corps, flying reconnaissance looking for enemy submarines along the California and Oregon coast. He was later sent to Tinker Air Force Base, where he met his wife.

On Oct. 10, 1944, he married Myrtle Campbell. They farmed and raised cattle in Sayre, then moved near Tecumseh.

Before serving in the Army Air Corps, he joined the CCC Camps and spent five months working in New Jersey and Washington. He also worked many years at St. Benedict Catholic Church.

Kochick was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers, Eddie, Bernie, Francis "Slim" and Jim Kochick.

Surviving relatives include his wife, Myrtle Kochick of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law, Wanda and Thomas O'Neil of Norman and Mary Ann and Mike Stevens of Tecumseh; four sons and daughters-in-law, Ed and Pat Kochick of Milledgeville, Ga., Clifford and Marie Kochick of Tecumseh, Jim and Jo Kochick of Enid and Mike and Carol Kochick of Houston, Texas; 15 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with Roger Klopfenstein officiating. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery under the direction of Cooper Funeral Home.

Joyce Ann Vivier
Joyce Ann Vivier, 61, Ada, died Wednesday at an Ada hospital.

Survivors include her husband, David Vivier of the home; two sons, Eugene Paul Vivier and Tony Lee Vivier; and nine grandchildren.

A wake will be held 6:30 p.m. Sunday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Konawa.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Monday at Bethlehem Missionary Baptist Church, Konawa, with the Rev. Ed George officiating.

Burial will be at the Hutcheuppa Church Cemetery in Okfuskee County under the direction of Pickard-Swearingen Funeral Home, Konawa.

Willie A. Stephens
The Rev. Willie A. Stephens died Wednesday.

She was born Oct. 4, 1918, in Shawnee, the daughter of the Rev. "Huss" and Pearl Gentry.

Stephens pastored McKiddyville Church in Lexington, Okla., along with her husband, for 42 years. She also pastored churches in Carter, Okla., and Floydada, Texas.

She was an ordained minister with the Assemblies of God and started preaching when she was 14 years old. She held her first revival meeting when she was 16.

Stephens was preceded in death by her parents and brother, the Rev. Ross Gentry.

She is survived by her husband, the Rev. W.U. Stephens; her daughter and son-in law, Reta and Allen McLaughlin; her brothers and their wives, the Rev. Robert and May Gentry and Johnny and Pauline Gentry; her sisters and their husbands, the Rev. Oliver and Ellen Thompson and S.D. and Jane West; sister-in-law, Nita Gentry; three grandsons and their wives, Mark and Kelly McLaughlin, David and Tina McLaughlin and Scott and Kim McLaughlin; three great-grandsons; and nieces and nephews.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Mayes Funeral Home, Norman, with Burial at the Tecumseh Cemetery.

Mary Ruth Shingleton
Mary Ruth Shingleton, 78, Meeker died Friday in Oklahoma City.

She was born in Meeker on July 5, 1924, to Venis R. and Annie Eliza (Trent) Armitage. She was a long-time resident of the Meeker area and was a member of Mammoth Baptist Church.

She married Knox Shingleton on Sept. 18, 1945.

She worked at Tinker Air Force Base as a machinist and clerk until her retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her husband, Knox Shingleton of Meeker; son, Charles E. Shingleton, Meeker; one brother and sister-in-law, Lee and Wilma Armitage, McLoud; sister and brother-in-law, Joan and Delbert Hubbell, Meeker; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be at Parks Brothers Funeral Home in Prague. The casket will not be opened.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Mammoth Baptist Church, Meeker, the Rev. Joe Sinko officiating. Burial will follow at Rossville Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Memorials may be made to the Mammoth Baptist Church Building Fund or to Mercy Hospice, 4300 W. Memorial Road, Oklahoma City, OK 73120.

Freda June Fleming
Freda June Mainord Fleming, 62, of Wewoka died Wednesday of cancer.

She was born on March 13, 1940, in Seminole to Grover Samuel Mainord and Bertha Mainord.

She grew up in Seminole County and graduated from Bowlegs High School in 1958.

She married Jimmie Dale Fleming on Aug. 27, 1981, in Wewoka.

She worked for Ben's Bar-B-Que in Wewoka for several years and was currently employed as department head in jewelry for Wal-Mart.

She was preceded in death by her father; brothers, Glendon and Garland Mainord; a grandson, Jory McLoud Griffin; and her mother and father-in-law, Papa and Nan Watson.

Survivors include her husband of the home; her mother, Mrs. G. S. Mainord of Bowlegs; her children and their spouses, John David and Dawn Griffin of Prague, Jan and Paul Harris of Bogalusa, La., James "Sparky" and Beth Griffin of Patuxent River, Md., Dina Lynn Griffin, Dallas, Misty Ann and Chris Crowson of Wewoka, Denice and Dave Hardy of San Antonio, Terri and Decker Sanders of Mt. Home, Idaho, and John Doyle Fleming, San Antonio; eight grandsons, 10 granddaughters and two great-grandsons; her siblings, Hope and Bill Taylor of Broken Arrow, Marcine Roberson of Bowlegs, Dean McNally of Atoka, Deloris and J.R. Jennings of San Angelo, Texas, Evelyn and James Stevens of Ardmore, Carolyn and Charles Dean of Pauls Valley, Lynda and Lynn Tipton of Euless, Texas, and Gilbert and Mary Ann Mainord of Enid, several nieces and nephews and many friends and other relatives.

A prayer service was held Friday at Stout-Phillips Funeral Chapel.

Services will be at 2 p.m. today at First Baptist Church in Wewoka with the Rev. Tim Emmons of Prague officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Stout-Phillips Funeral Home of Wewoka.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Palliative Hospice Center of Seminole.

Ann Martin
Ann Martin of Tecumseh died Friday in Tecumseh.

Services are pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral Home of Tecumseh.

Belbenia Nickel Meany
Belbenia Nickel Meany, 95, of Harrah died Thursday in Harrah.

Survivors include sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Charlotte Nickel and Raymond and Sue Nickel, all of Harrah; brother, Bud Kusek of Harrah; sisters, Agnes Czerczyk of Harrah, Francis Miller of Oklahoma City and Angie Skrapka of Oklahoma City; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

A rosary and wake will be 6:40 p.m. Sunday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church in Harrah. The Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Monday at St. Teresa's Catholic Church with the Rev. John Vrana and the Rev. Eugene Marshall, O.S.B., officiating. Burial will follow at St. Teresa's Catholic Cemetery in Harrah.

Services are under the direction of Smith-Parks Funeral Service in Harrah.

Willard Bryant Davis
Shawnee resident Willard Bryant Davis, 64, died Thursday in Shawnee.

Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at Union Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Wilbert L. Tripplett officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery.

Other information is pending and will be announced by Cooper Funeral home of Tecumseh.

Addie Mae Keller
Addie Mae Keller, 87, died Thursday in Glendale, Ariz.

Services are pending and will be announced by Parks Brother Funeral Service of Chandler.

Richard E. Fields
Richard Eugene Fields, 63, Shawnee, died Thursday at a local nursing home.

Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Fairview Cemetery.

Further announcements are pending with Walker Funeral Service.

Mary Grass Clark
Stroud resident Mary Grass Clark, 82, died Tuesday near Stroud.

Surviving relatives include three daughters, Deena Whiteshirt and Yvonne Heminokeky of Shawnee and Carla Honeyestewa of Albuquerque, N.M.; nine grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.

Services will be 10 a.m. today at the Sac and Fox Community Center in Stroud with members of the Sac and Fox Nation officiating. Burial will follow in the Sac and Fox Cemetery in Stroud. Arrangements are under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Stroud.

Anna Mae Martin
Anna Mae "Ann" Martin, 89, of Tecumseh died Friday.

She was born Nov. 1, 1913, in Macomb to Earnest Johnson and Ora J. (Willis) Johnson-Ketchum.

Martin was raised in Macomb and attended Macomb schools.

On Sept. 15, 1929, she married Jack W. Martin in Macomb. Following her marriage, she lived in Texas with her family for several years before returning to Oklahoma in 1974. She has lived in Tecumseh ever since. Her husband preceded her in death on July 1, 1993.

In the 1940s she co-owned and operated M&M Grocery in Tecumseh.

While living in Texas, she owned and operated a beauty shop and had been a homemaker since returning to Tecumseh.

She was a member of the Buffalo Ramblers RV Club; the Order of the Eastern Star chapter 30 of Tecumseh; and a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Tecumseh.

She also was preceded in death by her parents and her stepfather, C.M. Ketchum.

Survivors include two daughters and sons-in-law, Barbara and Bill Phillips of Tecumseh and Patricia and Herbert Holton of Tecusmeh; one son and daughter-in-law, W. Charles and Allene Martin of Altus; eight granddaughters, Nan Claytor of Shawnee, Kim Nootbaar of Frisco, Texas, Patti Lamle of Cache, Jenifer Siemens of Anniston, Ala., Laure Veach of Choctaw, Leslie Martin of Byng, Tawana Lechtenberg of Owasso and Tera Gombas of Denver, Colo.; one grandson, Lynn Phillips of Tecumseh; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at Cooper Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Tim Walker and the Rev. David Nolen officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Cooper Funeral home of Tecumseh.

Olene Walden
Olene Walden, 81, of Prague died Friday in Cushing. Services are pending with Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.

Fannie M. Smith
Fannie M. Smith, 90, of Shawnee died Thursday at a local hospital.

Services will be 2 p.m. Monday at Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel. Further information will be announced by Roesch-Walker Funeral Chapel.

Steve Fleetwood
Steve Fleetwood, 60, of McLoud died Wednesday. A service will be 2 p.m. Monday at McLoud First Baptist Church.

Homer Gene Glover
Seminole resident Homer Gene Glover, 77, died Friday at Presbyterian Hospital of Oklahoma City.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday at First Baptist Church of Seminole. Burial will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home.

Judith Ann Hyde
Texas resident Judith Ann Hyde, 58, died March 31 in Sugar Land, Texas.

Survivors include her husband, David Hyde of the home; son and daughter-in-law, Bryan and Nancy Hyde of Sugar Land; a daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and Ken Rohde of Richmond, Texas; two grandchildren; and other relatives and friends.

A graveside service will be 10 a.m. today at Oak Park Cemetery of Chandler under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Chandler.

Ramona Leona Mack Yones
Further arrangements will be announced by Walker Funeral Service.

Henry Thomas Pruitt
Henry Thomas Pruitt, 74, of Wolf died Thursday at his home.

Survivors include his wife Pauline Pruitt of Bowlegs; two sons, Thomas Randolph "Randy" Pruitt of Plano, Texas, and Rocky Joe Pruitt of Tulsa; one daughter, Cynthia (Pruitt) Purcell of Las Vegas, Nev.; two brothers, Forrest Addison Pruitt and Robert Pruitt of Oklahoma City; and one sister, Jo Ann Cargill of Cushing.

Funeral will be 2 p.m. Monday at Swearingen Funeral Chapel with the Rev. Steve Cline officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at Wolf Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Swearingen Funeral Home of Seminole.

The family has requested that donations be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
