PHILIP NATHAN ADDIS
GROVE - Philip Nathan Addis died Friday, June 1, 2001 at Grove General Hospital after a long illness. He was born May 18, 1941 in Chetopa, Kan. He was 60-years-old. He was preceded in death by his parents, Vernon and Alma Addis of Chetopa, Kan., and his four brothers, Harold Addis, Riddle, Oregon, Richard Addis, Riddle, Oregon, Jack Addis, Chetopa, Kan., and Howard Addis, Chetopa, Kan.
He is survived by his wife, Deborah D. Addis, of the home; his two sons, Steve Addis of Grove, and Joel Addis of Miami, Okla. He has one grandson, Christopher Addis, of Miami.
Addis graduated from Chetopa High School in 1959 and attended Parson Junior College, where he lettered in football. He also attended Pittsburg State University and Missouri Southern State College where he completed his degree in biology. Addis and Deborah Bengston, of Grove, were married on October 2, 1981 in Miami, Okla. He was foreman of shipping at B.F. Goodrich in Miami for 17 years until the plant closed. Addis was a member of the First Baptist Church of Jay, Okla. and a member of the Elks Lodge in Miami, Okla.
A memorial service will be held Wednesday, June 6, at 2:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Jay. Brother Ed McFall will officiate. Monetary donations for the family or flowers may be sent to the First Baptist Church of Jay.

COY DEAN ALLEN
WYANDOTTE, Okla. - Coy Dean Allen, 51, of Wyandotte, died December 26, 2001 at St. John's Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Coy was born April 3, 1950 in Altas, Okla., to Wayne Allen and Iris Carrol. Coy attended school in Altas and later went to college.
Coy met his wife, Eva, in 1986 in Altas, and later moved to Wyandotte. Coy was a truck driver for NEO Concrete of Grove.
Coy is survived by his wife, Eva, of the home; two daughters, Christie and Michelle; one son, Jason Allen, and one granddaughter Samantha.
Memorial services will be Sunday, December 30, at 2 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel, Grove.

SPENCER OLMAN AMUNDSEN
AFTON, Okla. - Spencer Olman Amundsen, 77, of Afton, Okla. passed away Tuesday, June 19, in Tulsa, Okla. Born on April 13, 1924 in Two Harbors, Minn., he was a retired electrician. He was also a 32nd degree Mason.
He is survived by his wife of 36 years, Barbara, of the home; two daughters, Karen Webster and husband, Rocky, of Afton, Okla., and Leslie Rosencutter and husband, Mike, of Tulsa, Okla.; one son, Mark Sullivan and wife, Martha, of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 21, at Memorial Park Cemetery. Moore's Southlawn Chapel of 663-2233.

BETTY MARIE ANDERSON
AFTON, Okla. - Betty Marie Anderson, 73, of Afton, Okla. died Friday, 13, 2001 at Baptist Regional Health Center after an illness. Mrs. Anderson was born May 11, 1927 in Hickory Grove, Okla. to James and Alice (Blaylock) Hunter. She has lived in Afton the past 27 years, moving here from Irving, Texas. Prior to moving to Irving, she had lived in Afton. Mrs. Anderson was a nurse, she worked at Eastern State Hospital in Vinita and at the Beverly Hills Hospital in Oakcliff, Texas. After her retirement she worked in many Afton area restaurants and cafes. She married Raymond Anderson on March 13, 1964 in Jay, Okla. He preceded her in death on August 15, 1999.
She is survived by four sons, Leonard Stotts of Owasso, Okla., Michael L. Anderson of Miami, Okla., Raymond G. Anderson of Grove, and Ronnie Joe Anderson of Tulsa, Okla.; two daughters, June Hopper of Afton, Okla., and Janatha Anderson of Afton, Okla.; brother, Ray Hunter of Afton, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; six great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 17, in the Hickory Grove Cemetery northeast of Grove. Jason Shelton and Justin Gibson will officiate under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Afton. The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 Monday evening at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Afton.

KENNETH G. ANDERSON
AFTON, Okla., - Kenneth G. Anderson, rural Afton, died Tuesday, June 26, 2001 at Grove Nursing Center after a short illness. He was 73. Mr. Anderson was born at Enid, Okla., on December 9, 1927 to Earnest and Lulu Anderson. He graduated from Enid High School with the class of 1945. He was a veteran, serving in the US Navy from 1945-1948. He married Evelyn (Mickie) Mixon on November 9, 1946 at Savannah, Ga. They moved to Afton in 1968 from Enid. He was a self-employed truck driver and a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Afton.
He is survived by his wife, Mickie, of the home; two daughters, Ginger and husband, Gary Underwood, of Tulsa, and Patty and husband, Ed Tipton, of Afton; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 29, at Trinity Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Randol and Rev. Clyde Stilley officiating. Pallbearers will be Steve Bassett, Trent Horton, Clinton Hines, Brad Stephens, Bobby Shinn, and Brian Gibson. The Men's Bible Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Military Rites will be performed by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team at the interment at Mt. Hope Cemetery. Visitation will be Thursday from 7-8 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to the Trinity Baptist Church Youth Fund. Arrangements are under the direction Adcock Funeral Home of Afton.

MARY LOUISE ARMSTRONG
JAY, Okla. - Mary Louise Armstrong, 74, met her Lord November 9, 2001 at her home in Jay, Okla. Mary was born July 29, 1927 in Boone, Ill., to Walton and Floreita Dygert Wheeler. Mary attended Country School in Belvidere, Ill., and graduated from Belvidere High School. She also attended and graduated from Northwestern Bible College and received a diploma signed by Billy Graham. Mary and Wayne Marvin Armstong were united in marriage 50 years ago and have lived in rural Jay for 43 years. Mary was a farmer's wife and a member of the First Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; three daughters, Carol Ann Cooper, Jay, Marcia Hendrix, Washburn, Mo., and Linda Branham, Vinita, Okla.; three sons, Tom Armstrong, Jay, Terry Armstong, Tulsa, Okla., and Dan Armstrong, Grove; two sisters, Nellie Crull, Wisconsin, and Florence Priest, Gardenia, Calif.; one brother, Walter Wheeler, Cedar Rapids, Iowa; 12 grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Family will receive friends and relatives November 9, Friday, 6-8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Chapel in Jay. Services will be held 2 p.m. Saturday, November 10, at the First Baptist Church in Jay. Mary will be laid to rest at the Maysville Cemetery in Maysville, Ark. Officiating will be Randy Parks and Loyd Crawford. Services will be under the direction of the Turner Funeral Chapel, Jay.

JANETTA GAY BAKER
JAY, Okla - Funeral services for Janetta Gay Baker, age 59, of Jay, will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 26, at the Eucha Free Holiness Church in Eucha, Okla. with Reverend Carl Page officiating. Burial will follow in Eucha Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Janetta Gay Baker, daughter of James and Anna (Haggard) Dick, was born May 29, 1942 in Pryor, and died Friday, June 22, in Jay. A homemaker, Mrs. Baker lived in Jay for 15 years, after moving there from Fairland. She was a member of the Eucha Free Holiness Church and, in her spare time, enjoyed traveling, sewing, reading and doing crafts. She also cherished time spent with her grandchildren. Janneta was married to Omer Baker in Jay on March 3,1963. She is preceded in death by her parents and brother, C.J. Dick.
She is survived by her husband; two children, Eugene Baker and wife, Alisa, of Grove, and Mark Baker and wife, Nancy, of Jay; one sister, Ruth Asbury, of Eucha; one brother, Tony Haggard of Cassville; four grandchildren, Kane Baker of Grove, Jennifer Baker of Broken Arrow, and Chance and Tristian Hughes, both of Jay, and many loved ones and friends.

HARLEY BAKER
GROVE - Harley Baker, age 84, died Tuesday, September 25, 2001 at his home in Grove. The son of Harvey and Minnie (Modlin) Baker, he was born on July 31, 1917 in Powel, Mo. Harley made his living as a welder, working for the Ordinance Division of F.M.C. making tanks for the Army, in San Jose, Calif. Harley's first wife, Irene, died in 1967. He later married Ilene Belka on May 5, 1973. They moved to Grove in 1984.
Surviors are: his wife, Ilene, of the home, and one niece and her children.
Harley will be buried in San Jose, Calif. The local arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Lugenbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

MARY LOUISE BYRD BAKER
KANSAS, Okla. - Mary Louis Byrd Baker, 73, Kansas, Okla., were held Tuesday, October 23, 2001 at the First baptist Church in Kansas. Officiating was Rev. Herman Miller . Serving as pall bearers were John Baker, Louis Baker, Dustin Griffis, David Barr, Boyd Loper, and Michael Magee. Interment followed in the Kansas Cemetery under the direction of Green Country Funeral Home, Tahlequah, Okla.
Mary Baker was born November 21, 1927 in Salina, Okla., the daughter of Lille Mae and John Byrd. She died on October 19, 2001, in Kansas. Mary enjoyed playing Bingo, camping, and just sitting outside. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thurman Jefferson Baker, her parents, John and Lillie Mae Byrd, a son, Thurman Jimmie Baker, a brother and sister in law, Earl and May Byrd, and a great grandson, DeAngelo Michale Magee.
Mary is survived by: daughters, Donna Marie Hyde and husband, Tom, Lillington, N.C., and Margie Louise Peebles and husband, James "Rod," Okmulgee, Okla.; sons, Cecil Louis Baker and wife, April, Kansas, and John Daniel Baker and wife, Mary "Lucy," Kansas; a sister, Cloie Mae Marie baker, Oaks, Okla; a niece; nephew; 13 grandchildren; a great granddaughter, and great great grandsson, as well as many other relatives, friends, and loved ones.

SHIRLEY MAURINE BARNES
VINITA, Okla. - Shirley Maurine Barnes, former resident of Vinita, passed away Saturday, June 2, 2001 in Austin, Texas. She was 83-years-old. Shirley was born August 5, 1917 at Keota, Okla. to Clarence and Sophia (Walters) Graham. She came to this community in 1958 from Verdon, Okla. and taught elementary school for many years in White Oak and Vinita. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Vinita. Shirley was the widow of former Vinita Schools Superintendent Vernon L. Barnes, who preceded her in death February 19, 1993.
Shirley is survived by three daughters, Rev, Mary Zimmer of Austin, Texas, Carole Barnes-Higgins and husband, William, of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Lynn Hamilton and husband, Craig, of Lewisville, N.C.; one sister, Bonnie Horn of College Station, Texas; one brother, Kestner Graham of Tupelo, Miss., and five grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, June 6, at the First Baptist Church. Dr. Henry Haynes will officiate. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 5, at the Burckhalter Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home.

ROSINA K. BARR
OAKS, Okla. - Rosina K. Barr, 71-year-old resident of Oaks, Okla., died Monday, October 15, 2001 at Grove General Hospital in Grove. Born June 22, 1930, she was the daughter of Joseph and Elizabeth Maunch Unteriner. Mrs. Barr had been a resident of Oaks since 1975, formerly a resident of Twin Oaks, Okla. She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by her husband, Car. E. Barr Jr., in 1980, two sisters, one brother and one grandson.
She is survived by: two sons, David R. Barr of Oaks, and Clarence A. Barr of West Siloam Springs, Okla.; three grandchildren, and three sisters, Frances Quackenbush of Shreveport, La.; Cecilia Ottley of Hoxie, Kan., and Claire Tubbs of Colby, Kan.
Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Thursday, October 18, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Friday, October 19, at Wasson Memorial Chapel with Rev. Utah Humphrey officiating. Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery, Kan., Okla. Services are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

RALPH M. BARTHOLOMEW
MIAMI, Okla. - Ralph M. Bartholomew, 69, of Miami, Okla., died Tuesday, April 10, 2001 at his home after an illness. Mr. Bartholomew was born on April 4, 1932 in Harrisburg, Pa. to Ralph M. and Viola (Shope) Bartholomew, Sr. He has lived in Miami since 1994, moving there from California. He was a machinist for Black and Decker Quickset Lock Division before retiring in 1986. Mr. Bartholomew served with the Army during the Korean Conflict and was a lifetime member of the Elks Lodge. Mr. Bartholomew married Patricia McAlister on May 16, 1952 in Wilkinsburg, Pa.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia McAlister, of the home; two sons, David B. Bartholomew of Mission Viejo, Calif., and Mark L. Bartholomew of Laguna Niguel, Calif.; daughter, Holly L. Lawyer of Mission Viejo, Calif.; three sisters, Betty Common, Eleanor Moree, and Marie Kane, all of Pennsylvania, and six grandchildren.
Mr. Bartholomew will lie in state at Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home Miami, Friday and Saturday, before being returned to Harbour Lawn Cemetery in Cost Mesa, Calif. for burial.

DAVID EUGENE BARTLETT JR.
GROVE - David Bartlett, age 29, died Saturday, July 14, 2001 in Grove after a sudden illness. The son of David and Vivian (Brown) Bartlett, he was born February 8, 1972. David had attended the Independent Baptist Church since moving to Grove in 2000 from Truman, Ariz. He loved outdoor sports, especially camping and fishing the Colorado River.
Surviving are: his mother, Vivian Wilson, of Ehrenberg, Ariz.; his wife, Sherry King, of Bernice; three children, David Eugene Bartlett III, Angelina Gene Bartlett, and Carol Ann King, all of the home; two brothers, Paul Mitchell and Sam Mitchell of Ehrenberg, Ariz, and two sisters, Norma Thezenin and Cindy Jones of Ehrenberg, Ariz.
The funeral will be Thursday, July 19, at 2 p.m. in the Worley-Luginbuel Chapel. The services are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
