EARL LEROY HOWLAND
GROVE - Earl Leroy Howland of Grove died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at the Grove General Hospital. He was 74. Mr. Howland was born June 29, 1926 to Earl and Marie Johnston Howland at Arkansas City, Kan. He lived in Longton, Kan. until enlisting in the United States Marine Corps, serving from August 11, 1944 to August 25, 1946. He then served in the reserves from 1950 to 1953. He married Edith Hall May 17, 1958 at Wichita. They moved to Grove in 1983 after he retired as diesel mechanic at the Foley Tractor Co. in Wichita, Kan. Mr. Howland was a member of the American Legion, first and second Marine Division, and the Veteran of Foreign Wars.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Howland, of Grove; two sisters, Dorothy Moor of Amarillo, Texas, and Jeneane Luke and husband, Harry, of Oklahoma City, Okla.; five sister and brothers-in-laws, Thelma of Kansas City, Kan., Ada Bronough of Miami, Okla., Betty McCray of Calif., Jean Roseberry of Bartlesville, Okla., and Sharon and James Williams of Tuscaloosa, Ala., and a host of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, June 7, at the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton, Okla. Bro. Leland Mooney to officiate. Family will receive friends from 7-8:00 p.m. Wednesday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Donations may be made to the St. John's Hospice in care of the funeral home.

AARON HUCKABY
FITHIAN, Ill. - Aaron A. Huckaby, 82, of Fithian, died at 6:42 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2001 at Provena United Samaritans Medical Center, Logan campus, Danville.
Graveside services with military rites were held at 11 a.m. Saturday in Stearns Cemetery, Fithian.
Mr. Huckaby was born June 19, 1919 at Adair County, Okla., a son of William D. and Ethel Peters Huckaby. He married Pearl Marie Husong on April 29, 1946, in Columbus, Kan. She survives of the home.
Also surviving are: two sons, William A. and Donald J. Huckaby, both of Fithian; a brother, Charles Huckaby of Chouteau, Okla.; four grand children, and two great grand children.
He was preceded in death by two sisters.
Mr. Huckaby served in the Army. He worked for 23 years in civil service, was employed by a defense contract supply agency in Chicago, and was stationed in Kansas, Oklahoma, Illinois, Ohio and Wisconsin. He was village clerk in Fithian, and active in Boy Scout Troop 29 of Fithian-Muncie, and Troop 24 of Oakwood.
Mr. Huckaby was a member and quartermaster of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8380, Grove.
Services were entrusted to the Kirby Funeral Home, Fithian.

LOYD 'BUD' MARTIN HUDSON
GROVE - Loyd "Bud" Martin Hudson died Tuesday, October 9, 2001 at the Grand Lake Villa Nursing Home in Grove. He was 85.
Bud was born January 19, 1916 to Alfred Buck and Jane Tersa (Martin) Hudson at Kingman, Kan. He worked most of his life as a farmer / rancher in Kansas and Oklahoma. He married Gladys (Doll) Hudson June 4, 1938 at Boise, Kan. He and his wife have lived in the area since 1961.
Survivors are: his wife, Gladys, of the home; three sons, Donald Hudson and wife, Dortha, of Bartlesville, Martin Hudson and wife, Patricia, of Owasso, Okla., and Jerry Hudson and wife, Connie, of Clearwater, Kan.; four brothers, Paul Hudson and Lester Hudson, both of Talala, Okla., Cecil Hudson of Strang, Okla., and Zell Hudson, Penn.: one sister, Leona Williams, of Collinsville, Okla.; six grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, October 12, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Pastor Carlin Thompson will officiate. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Ridge Lawn Cemetery in Collinsville, Okla.

LOIS DEVINE HULLAND
GROVE - Lois Hulland, 87, died Saturday, June 30, 2001 at Grove General Hospital after a lengthy illness. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 5, at Carterville Cemetery, Carterville, Mo., with Tony Besmer officiating. Family will greet friends Wednesday, July 4, from 6 to 8 p.m. at Ellis Family Funeral Home.
Lois Hulland was born on July 20, 1913 to Jesse Thomas and Mary Dunlavay Webb in Locust Grove, Okla. She received her Bachelor's Degree in education from Phillips University, Enid, and her Master's Degree from Wichita State University. Mrs. Hulland married Phelps Hulland in 1950 in Wichita, Kan., at the Presbyterian Church. She was a teacher for 42 years, teaching in the Wichita ISD and Red Rock ISD. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and sang in the church choir.
Survivors are: two sisters, Vera Sporlein of Antioch, Ca., and Ina Estes of Las Vegas, Nev.; six nephews, Jesse Webb, Zena, Carl Webb, Altus, Okla., and Darrell Sivley, and Greg Sivley, both of Gateway, Ark., Gary Sporlein, Las Vegas, Nev., and Tommy Sheehy, Antioch, Calif; six nieces, Carolyn Crunk, Marlyn Blackwood, Judy Estes, Lois Joan Grillo, Connie Lunt, all of Las Vegas, Nev., and Sara Webb, Jay; and several great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Hulland was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, four sisters; Thelma Webb, Nelda Marshall, Verla Sivly and Valene Webb; and three brothers, Alvin, Basil and Floyd Webb.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, OK 74344, 918-786-5172.

CLEO HUMBLE
VINITA, Okla. - Cleo Humble, 83-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Friday, April 6, 2001 at Rosewood Terrace Nursing Center in Vinita. N. Cleo Humble was born February 1, 1918 to James Carl and Nannie Ellen (Allen) Chaney at Ottawa, Okla., east of Miami. She grew up in the Welch area and attended Schools at Prairie Center, Pleasant Valley and Welch. She spent most of her life in Craig County except for several years when she was employed in Kansas City and made her home there. Later she was employed at Eastern State Hospital in Vinita. She was a homemaker and was a member of Trinity Baptist Church. She married Riley Humble December 24, 1935 at Vinita. They had 54 years together and they lived on the same farm for 42 years and moved into Vinita in March of 1988. She was preceded in death by Riley and their son, Gene Humble, her parents, five sisters, four brothers and a granddaughter.
She is survived by one granddaughter, Gina Miller and husband, Clyde; two great grand children, Jennifer Batchelor and Michael Gene Miller; two step great grandchildren, Gary and Vanessa, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Services were at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, at the Burckhalter Memorial Chapel. Rev. Will Busch officiated. Interment was in Fairview Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers were Lee Simmons, Fred Madl, Joe Johnson, Ernest Johnson, Eugene Jinks and Roy Lee Faulconer. Services were under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home.

ALFRED T. HUNTER
FAIRLAND, Okla.-Alfred T. Hunter of Bernice died at Integris Grove General Hospital on Friday, November 30, 2001 after a lengthy illness. He was 81. He was born May 9, 1920 to Bob and Myrtle Hill Hunter, at Centralia, Okla. He was a self-employed carpenter. He was married to Vivian Crow, who preceded him in death.
He is survived by a son and his wife, Wayne and Carol Hunter, of Gran Terra; three brothers, Alvin Hunter of Bernice, David Hunter of Afton, and George Hunter of Wyandotte; four sisters, Audra Mahuin, May Burris, and Fay French, all of Fairland, and Lou Sauers of Hutchison, Kan.; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 4, with Rev. Andy Krebs officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 6-7 p.m., Monday, Dec. 3, at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland. Services arranged by Adcock Funeral Home.

MARJORIE ELLEN HUTCHINSON
MAMMOTH SPRING, Ark. - Marjorie Ellen Hutchinson, age 77, was born December 23, 1923 in Lucas County, Iowa, and passed away August 13, 2001 at the University Hospital in Columbia, Mo. She was a member of Faith Baptist Church of Mammoth Spring. She also served as a Home Missionary beside her husband with Baptist Church Planters, and was a loving and faithful wife and mother.
Survivors are; her husband of 58 years of the home, Lee Hutchinson; four sons and their wives, Rodney and Patty Hutchinson of St. Ansgar, Iowa, Tim and Dixie Hutchinson of Decorah, Iowa, Steve and Rhoda Hutchinson of Austin, Minn., Jeff and Shannon Hutchinson, of Grove, Okla.; one daughter and her husband, Sheryl and Tivis Lute of Great Falls, Mont., daughter-in-law and her husband, Diane and Wayne Roberts; 24 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Vera Rodgers-Simpson; two sons, Titus James Hutchinson and Rodger Lee Hutchinson; one great-grandson, Brennan Hutchinson; and one granddaughter, Louann Lute.
Services will be Friday, August 17, at 2 p.m. in the Clary Chapel with Bro. Bud Johnson officiating, Dwight Hickman - soloist, Eunice Johnson - pianist, Mike Eason and Ronnie Warren - ushers, and Pam Eason - guest book. Interment will be in the Bronaugh Cemetery under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Mammoth Spring, Ark. Pallbearers will be several of the grandsons. RONN INLOW
HITCHCOCK, Texas - Ronn Inlow, 61, was born in El Dorado, Kan., on November 23, 1939 and passed away at his home in Hitchcock, Texas, Saturday, October 13, 2001. Ronn was a 30-year employee of Enterprise Transportation Corporation as a Safety and Security Supervisor. He also worked in the family business, Inlow Trucking, before becomin a Pasco Washington Police Officer and serving his country in the United States Army.He devoted his life to his loving wife, children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and his "working family" at Enterprise Transportation.
Ronn was preceded in death by his wife of 28 years, Sarah Bird Inlow, who passed away on August 2, 2001. He was also preceded by his father, Chester Lee Inlow, and his mother, Opal Inlow. Ronn is survived by: his daughters, Ronda Inlow Priutt and Jan Inlow, Sante Fe, Texas, and Debbie Divine and Jessica Ryan, Hitchcock, Texas; brother, Duane Lee Inlow II/Conner, Texas City, Texas, Robert Ryan Sr., Sante Fe, Texas, and Duane "Bud" Inlow, Grove; sisters, Elaine Slaughter and husband, Rod, Grove, and Judi Hilard and husband, Jim, Tulsa; grandchildren, Nicole Inlow, Ashley Pruitt, Robert "Boogie" Sawyer, Crystal "Peanut" Divine, Angel, Fernando and Chucho Inlow/Conner, Robert Ryan Jr., Joshua Ryan, and Billy Cooper; great grandchildren, Dayleon Cooper and Robert Ryan III; father-in-law, Howard P. Broderson; mother-in-law, Kate Bird Broderson, La Marqre, Texas; brother-in-law, Willie Bird, Jr.; sister-in-law, Cathy Bird Stiles, Hitchcock; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be Tuesday, October 16, from 5 to 8 p.m. at the James Crowder Funeral Home in La Marque. Services will be Wednesday, October 17, at 2 p.m. in the Chapel of the James Crowder Funeral Home with Pastor John Boone, officiating. Burial will follow at the Hypolite Perthuis "Old" Hitchcock Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Ronda Inlow Pruitt, Ronald Lee Inlow II/Conner, Duane "Bud" Inlow, Frank Chapman, Bill "Scotty" Scott and John Tomerlin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Willie Bird, Jr. Mike Stark, Howard Broderson and members of the Hitchcock and La Maque Police Departments.

JOE INMAN
NORMAN, Okla. - Mr. Joe Inman, a retired Oklahoma State Trooper, passed away on Wednesday, September 12, 2001 at his home in Norman at the age of 65 years.
The son of the late David Marion Inman and Elsie Dorothy Tilden Inman, Joe was born on December 19, 1935 in Grove, and was reared and educated in several different cities, including Grove, Langley, Vinita and Jay.
He was united in marriage to Donna R. Johnston on May 22, 1955 in Quapaw, Okla., and to this union four daughters and one son, Donna, Dorothy, Laura, Deborah, and Joe Jr., were born.
Joe had worked for the Vinita Police Department for three years prior to being accepted into the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP) Academy in 1970. He retired from OHP in 1990.
One of his true loves was for the Highway Patrol and, even following his retirement, he continued to be involved with them. For several years he served as an instructor at the academy and was also an armorer for the OHP.
Joe was loved by all who knew him and will be missed by his 15 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren, who he loved to be with.
In addition to law enforcement, he loved the outdoors. He was a member of the Noble Masonic Lodge and was a 32nd Degree Mason with his consistory at Tulsa.
Surviving are: his wife of over 46 years, Donna, of the home in Norman; four daughters, Donna Floyd and her husband, Bob, of Vinita, Dorothy Inman of the home, Laura Ohrenberg and her husband, Robert, of Oklahoma City, and Deborah Henson and her husband, James, of Oklahoma City; one son, Joseph John Inman Jr., of the home; 15 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; one foster child, Mont Huff, of Oklahoma City; four foster grandchildren, and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his parents, Joe was preceded in death by one brother, David Charles Clinton Inman; one sister, Dorothy Anna Jane Moore, and one grandson, Johnathon Robert Henson.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 15, at 1 p.m. in the Craig County Baptist Church in Vinita. Joe will by lying in state in the Craig County Baptist Church on Saturday, 9:30 a.m. until service time. Burial will follow in the Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
Serving as casketbearers will be Robbie Inman, Joe Inman, Jr., Bobby Floyd, Bobby Floyd, Jr., Rodger Floyd, Doug Harrison, Bill Harrison, Jr., and Kyle Ohrenberg.
Serving as honorary casketbearers will be David Henson, William Inman, Caleb Inman, Jhan Ohrenberg, Sammy Ohrenberg, Zack Carson, Matt Ohrenberg, Harold Floyd, Scott Carson, and Mont Huff.
Memorial contributions may be sent to the Oklahoma Medical Research Foundation, Alzheimer's Division.
Services are under the direction of the Davis Funeral Home, Cushing.

MARY VIRGINIA JACKSON
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - Graveside funeral services for Mary Virginia Jackson, age 82, formerly of Leach, Okla., will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 14, 2001 at the Elm Prairie Cemetery in Leach. Rev. Franklin Six will officiate and services are under the direction of the Key Funeral Home of Pryor.
Mrs. Jackson was born on May 17, 1918 in Leach. She died on May 9 in Siloam Springs, Ark. The daughter of Samuel W. and Margaret (Brickey) Potts, she grew up and attended school at Leach. She was a member of the Baptist Faith and the Order of the Eastern Star of Catoosa, Okla.
She is survived by a nephew, Bob Stilley and wife, Litha, of Lincoln, Ark.; one great niece, Tammy Cook of Tuscon, Ariz.; two step great nieces; two step great nephews; one great-great niece; one great-great nephew, and numerous step great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by two husbands, Charles Chadwell and Henry Jackson, one sister, Marguerite Stilley, and one brother, Samuel Potts.

ROBERTA LOU JACKSON
ZENA, Okla. - Roberta L. Jackson, 55, died Sunday, November 11, 2001 in the St. John Hospital in Joplin, Mo. The daughter of John Leonard and Betty Jean (Morgan) Tanner, she was born on March 3, 1946 in rural Jay, Okla. She married David Jackson on November 20, 1967 in Grove. Roberta was a homemaker living all her life in the Zena area.
Survivors include: her husband, David Jackson; her mother, Betty Tanner, Zena; two sons, John Bo Jackson and Butch Jackson, Zena; five brothers, Jug, Jerry, Short, Rick and Jas Tanner; two sisters, Mary and Brenda; two granddaughters, Felicia and Emma; and a daughter-in-law, Karen Jackson.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 14, in the Delaware Baptist Church with Larry Jackson officiating. Burial was in the Zena Cemetery. The services were under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

LABECCA ALICE JANUARY
WESTVILLE, Okla. - Funeral services for Labecca Alice January were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, December 31, 2001 at the First Assembly of God Church in Gentry, Ark., with Pastor Steve Shinn officiating. Interment followed at the Old Baptist Mission Cemetery under the direction of Hart Funeral Home of Westville.
Labecca Alice January, daughter of Cecil Collins and Clarice Gerber Collins, was born November 5, 1958 in Westville. She departed this life December 28, 2001 in Colcord, Okla. ,at the age of 43 years, one month, and 23 days.
Labecca was a housewife and a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Gentry. On April 6, 1981 she was married to Charles January in Westville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Lee Herman and Tommy Collins; and one sister, Debbie Joyce Collins.
Labecca is survived by: her husband, Charles January, of the home; two sons, Charles January Jr. of Gentry, and Bryan January of the home; one daughter, Cecilia January of the home; two step-daughters, Melissa Woodard of Springdale and Dana Boyette of North Carolina; four step grandchildren; three brothers, Eldon Collins and Cecil Collins of Westville, and Bill Collins of Watts; five sisters, Margaret Hunt of Fayetteville, Mary Adams of Siloam Springs, Eva Hankins of Wagoner, Bonnie Sue Ryan of Jay and Vickie Burke of Westville; 16 nieces; nine nephews, 28 great-nieces and great-nephews and a host of friends and loved ones.
