ANDY KING
AFTON, Okla. - Andy King of Afton died Saturday, June 9, 2001 after a short illness. He was 64. Mr. King was born at Afton, October 23, 1936, to Leon and Esther Lenox King. He has worked in maintenance at the Northeast Votech School and was retired. He served in the US Army. He was of the Baptist faith and had lived in Afton his entire life.
He is survived by a brother, Lonnie and wife, Janie, King of Afton; two sisters, Faye and husband, Cecil, Moody, and Martha and husband, Gale, Rider, all of Afton, and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 12, at Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Afton with Rev. Bret Luellen officiating. Nephews will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton. Visitation will be from 6-7 p.m. Monday, June 11, at Adcock Funeral Home.

MARY HELEN RUCKMAN KING
JAY, Okla. - Mary Helen Ruckman King, 76, passed away October 10, 2001 at Monroe Manor Nursing Center in Jay. Mary was born August 29, 1925 in Delaware County to Jack and Minnie Jones Kline. She grew up in Delaware County and attended Taylor School. Mary and Ira Wesley King were united in marriage in 1942. She was a factory worker all her adult life. Mary enjoyed crocheting and knitting and was a member of the Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ira King, her husband Richard Ruckman, and one daughter, Patricia Jewel King.
She is survived by: four sons, Bob and Eddie King, Taylor area, and John and Ivan King of Gravette, Ark. ; two brothers, Don Denny, Maysville, Ark., and Robert Denny, Ojave, Calif.; two sisters, Evelyn Allen, Wichita, Kan., and Ruby Patterson, Tulsa, Okla.; grandchildren and great, great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends and relatives Friday, October 12, 6 until 8 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Chapel, Jay. Services will be Saturday, October 13, at 10 a.m. at the Turner Funeral Chapel, Jay. Officiating will be John Gonzales. Mary will be laid to rest at the Row Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Turner Funeral Chapel, Jay.

ALVA 'GO-DI-GE-WI' KINGFISHER
JAY, Okla. - Alva "Go-di-ge-wi" Kingfisher, 102, died Saturday, November 24, 2001 at the Grand Lake Villa Nursing Home in Grove. Mrs. Kingfisher was born March 12, 1899 to Peter and Rachel (Hider) Nix at Stilwell, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of the Hillside Baptist Church in Jay. She was married to Lewis Kingfisher. He preceded her in death.
Survivors include: six nephews; Alfred Nix, Kansas, Okla., Leo Nix, Van Buren, Ark., Joe Dennis, Southwest City, Mo., Leroy Dennis, Tulsa, Okla., Edward Dennis, Winfield, Kan., and Leo Dennis, Paris, Texas; eight nieces, Ailene Handle Dude, Peridot, Ariz., and Sarah Feather, Peggy Masters, and Melba Cate, all of Jay, Meda Nix, Pawnee, Okla., Edna Mitchell, Tulsa, Okla., Ella Mae Chewey, Stilwell, Okla., and Gladys Owens, Winfield, Kan., and numeros great nieces and great nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 27, at the Sycamore Springs Baptist Church in Jay. Rev. Richard Pickup to officiate. Interment will be in Sycamore Springs Cemetery. Family will receive friends at 6 p.m. Monday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

WESLEY W. KINNAMAN
GROVE - Wesley W. Kinnaman, 86, died November 13, 2001 at St. John's Regional Medical Center, Joplin, Mo. Wesley Kinnaman was born on September 13, 1915 to David and Minnie (Adams) Kinnaman in Hastings, Okla. He married Bertie Hawthorne on July 18, 1936 in Holdenville, Okla. Mr. Kinnaman worked for McDonald Douglas in Long Beach, Calif., as an electrician until his retirement. He moved to the Grove area on December 5, 2000 from Sedona, Ariz. He was a member of the Independent Baptist Church, Grove.
Survivors include: his wife, Bertie; one daughter, Mary Terry and husband, Carl, St. Louis, Mo.; two sons, Win Kinnaman and wife, Joyce, Fontana, Calif., and Gary Kinnaman, Grove; Juanita Orick, Phoenix, Az.; eight grandchildren; 11 great grandchildren and two great great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, November 16, at Independent Baptist Church, Grove, with Rev. Ray Melugin officiating. Burial will follow at Buzzard Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, November 15, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the Independent Baptist Church Building Fund. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.

LARRY EUGENE KINSLOW
GROVE - Larry Eugene Kinslow, age 30, died Thursday, June 21, 2001. The son of Jerry Donaldson and Connie Sue (Kinslow) Donaldson, he was born on May 4, 1970 in Joplin, Mo. Larry was a graduate of Fairland High School and served three years in the army.
He is survived by his parents, Jerry and Connie Donaldson; grandmother, Wilma Golden; brother, Clovis Owen Long; sister, Julie Pratt, and several aunts and uncles.
The funeral was Monday at 2:00 p.m. in the Worley-Luginbuel Chapel in Grove with Rev. Roy Scribner officiating. Interment was at the Council House Cemetery in Grove under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

JAMES ELVIN KIRBY
JAY, Okla. - James Elvin Kirby, 72, died Thursday, August 9, 2001 at his home after a lengthy illness. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, August 13, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Jay with Rev. Kelvin Limbocker and Rev. John Crawley officiating. Burial followed at Mose Ridge Cemetery in Eucha.
James Elvin Kirby was born on April 22, 1929 in Round Springs "Topsy", Okla., to Rollie Steven and Roxie Viola (Henderson) Kirby. At the age of 19 he moved to Tulsa, then returned to the Jay area in 1980. Mr. Kirby was a truck stop manager for 25 years and also worked as a trucker. He enjoyed fishing and hunting for raccoon and bobcat with his brothers and friends until he was disabled.
Survivors are: his devoted and beloved companion, Bernice Andoe, of the home; two sons, Jimmy Dale Kirby and his wife, Jennifer, of Collinsville, and Billy J. Andoe of Tulsa; two brothers, E.A. (Took) Kirby of Pryor, and Raymond S. (Cork) Kirby, of Eucha; one sister, Wanda M. West of Eucha; one sister-in-law, Rosslean Kirby; four grandchildren, Joshua Jetton Kirby, Jessica Grace Kirby, Nicholas Wayne Stallings, and Angela Nicol Stallings. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Claude and A.E. (Augie) Kirby, and Bernice's daughter, Carol Dee Stallings.
Memorials may be made to Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation.
Services were under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.

KATHLEEN C. KIRTLEY
HOWARD, Kan. - Kathleen Cecil Kirtley passed away on Friday, April 27, 2001 at the Mercy Hospital in Independence, Kan. She was 77, a resident of Howard, Kan., formerly of Grove. Kay, as she was known, was born on January 31, 1924 at Dodge, Okla. to Curtis and Jewel Alice (Graham) Wright. She attended elementary school in Dodge and high school in Grove.
Kay married Joe David Potter and to this union was born two daughters and one son. This marriage later ended. On August 25, 1963, she married Lewis Scott Kirtly at Grove. They made their home in Grove where Kay was employed by a nursing home as a certified nurse assistant. Mr. Kirtley preceded her in death on December 2, 1985. Kay remained a resident of Grove until moving to Howard in September of 1996 to be near her family.
She was a member of the Flint Hills Assembly of God in Howard.
She is survived by her son, Joe Potter of Choctaw, Okla.; her daughters, Linda Kay Chapman of Howard, and Janey McDonald of Elk Falls; her sister, Dean Lewis of Augusta; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 1, at the Bud Fields Cemetery in Dodge, Okla. with Pastor Robin Haines of the Flint Hills Assembly of God in Howard officiating. A memorial has been established with the Flint Hills Assembly of God. Contributions may be left with the funeral home. The funeral arrangements are being made with the Zimmerman Funeral Home of Howard.

EVA E. KLAUS
COMMERCE, Okla. - Eva E. Klaus of Commerce died Saturday, April 21, 2001 at Baptist Regional Health Center after a lengthy illness. She was 92. Mrs. Klaus was born at Exeter, Mo. on August 20, 1908 to Robert and Flora (Knight) Long. She married Henry (Buck) Klaus at Jay on November 11, 1929. He preceded her in death on November 28, 1951. She was a homemaker. She had lived in Commerce since 1995, coming from Miami. She was baptized at Old Baptist Church on July 23, 1927 and was a member there.
She is survived by a son and his wife, Douglas and Harriett Klaus, of Afton; a sister, Jean Bruner, of Locust Grove; two grandchildren, Allen Klaus and wife, Barbara, of Okmulgee, and Melanie Blankenship of Miami, Okla.; four great-grandchildren; seven nieces, and two nephews. She was also preceded in death by a sister and a brother.
A funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 24, at Trinity Southern Baptist Church of Afton, with Rev. Clyde Stilley and Rev. Tony Randol officiating. Pallbearers will be Henry Frellick, E.J. Markes, Dan Fisher, Charley Gibson, Phil Oakley and John Shaw. The Men's Bible Class will serve as honorary pallbearers. Burial will follow at Rolston Cemetery on Monkey Island. Visitation will be 6-7 p.m. Monday, April 23, at Adcock Funeral Home of Afton. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested the memorials be made to the Trinity Southern Baptist Church Cabin Fund. Arrangements are provided through Adcock Funeral Home of Afton.

CHARLOTTE FERN (KIDD) KNIGHT
SAND SPRINGS, Okla. - Charlotte Fern (Kidd) Knight, 70-year-old Sand Springs resident, passed away Monday, December 3, 2001 at the home of her sister in White Oak following an extended illness.
Charlotte was born February 7, 1931 at Chelsea, Okla., to Lester and Themla (Sprinkle) Kidd. She completed the Hillcrest Diploma Program and attended Tulsa College. She worked 48 years as a Registered Nurse and was a member of the Nurse's Association.
Charlotte was united in marriage to Clay Knight on June 20, 1953 in New Mexico.
Survivors include: her husband, Clay, of the home; mother, Thelma Kidd of Vinita; three sisters, Darlene Stanlee and husband, Jerry, of White Oak, Louise Garner and husband, Alvin, of Pryor, and Martha Miles of Vinita; one granddaughter, Mandy Humler, and great grandson, John Micheal Humler.
Charlotte was preceded in death by her father, Lester, in 1973 and one son, Michael Knight, in 1990.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, December 5, at the Chelsea Cemetery in Chelsea, Okla. Chaplin Chris King will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 4, at the Burckhalter Funeral Home.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home of Vinita.

ELIZABETH A. KRAUSE
JAY, Okla. - Elizabeth A. Krause of Jay died Tuesday, April 24, at Grove General Hospital. She was 61.
Mrs. Krause was a computer specialist for Fabricut Inc. in Tulsa. She was a 1956 graduate of Central High School in Tulsa and a First Class Girl Scout. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Tulsa.
She is survived by her husband, Leslie Krause, of the home; one daughter, Anita Krause Davis, of Jacksonville, Fla.; one son, Kenneth A. Krause, of Broken Arrow, Okla., and four grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27, at Ocker Memorial Chapel in Van Buren, Ark. Interment will be at the Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, Ark.

PATRICK BLAINE KUNKLER
NORMAN, Okla. - Patrick Blaine Kunkler, 23, of Norman, died Friday, May 25, in Mustang, Okla.
Memorial Services will be held at the Independent Baptist Church in Grove at 10:30 a.m. June 22. Arrangements are with Havenbrook Funeral Home, Norman.
Mr. Kunkler was born March 20, 1978 at Gravette, Ark., the son of Leon Gale and Anne Charlene Russell Kunkler. He attended high school at Afton, Okla.
Mr. Kunkler went to Norman in 1995 from Afton. He graduated from Snyder Truck Driving Center, receiving his truck driving license.
He attended The Church of the Rock in Norman where he was active with the church basketball team.
Mr. Kunkler was preceded in death by a grandfather, Ivan Richard Russell.
He is survived by his parents of the home; sons Sloan and Slade Kunkler; paternal grandparents Russell and Ila Jean Kunkler of Joplin, Mo.; maternal grandmother Ethel Lewis of Grove; a sister, Damaris Kunkler, of Norman, and a brother, Lindell Kunkler, of Pittsburg, Kan.

LOUIS BENJAMAN KYLE
GROVE - Louis Kyle, age 92, died at his home after a sudden illness. The son of Daniel M. and Katherine (Gurland) Kyle, he was born on January 9, 1909 in Festus, Mo. Louis was a member of the Moose Lodge in Grove. He worked as a machinist for McDonald Douglas and Boeing for 25 years, retiring at age 65 in 1984.
Survivors are: two children, Daniel Murry Kyle and Ila Lou Robbins; a brother, Ed Kyle Sr., and two grandsons, David and Daniel Kyle.
The funeral will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, August 24, in the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. The interment will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Sand Springs. The services are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

MAYME RUTH KYSER
MIAMI, Okla. - Mayme Ruth Kyser died at 5:30 Monday, October 22, 2001 at the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center after an illness. She was 80. Kyser was born June 2, 1921 at Welch, Okla., to Will and Vina (Grimm) Ritchel. She had lived most of her life in this area except when she and her late husband, Eugene W. Kyser, moved to California in 1957, they returned in 1968. Mrs. Kyser had worked while in California in production work in factories, but when she returned to Miami she worked as a health care provider for several families in Miami. Mrs. Kyser was a member of the Community of Christ Church and also the Bethany Christian Church of Miami. She married Eugene W. Kyser on December 8, 1938 at Commerce, Okla., he preceded her in death on April 24, 1993.
Survivors include: a daughter, Sue A. Kyser, High Springs, Fla.; a sister, Mrs. Mary Wilson, Miami; seven nephews and two nieces. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 25, at the Community of Christ Church, East B.J. Tunnell and E. Street Northeast, with elders Robert Kyser and Rick Adams officiating, assisted by the Rev. Fred Rohlfs. Burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 5 until 6 p.m. Wednesday.
