GARY E. LEWIS
GROVE - Gary Lewis, age 54, Sunday, December 9, 2001 in the St. John's Hospital in Joplin, Mo. The son of James O. and Mary O. (Blevins) Lewis, he was born on January 22, 1947. Gary is a disabled American Veteran serving in the U.S. Army in Vietnam. He worked for the police department in Washington, D.C., Afton, Okla., and Lansing, Kan. He also worked for the prison in Lansing. He is a member of the Cave Spring Church and the American Legion in Grove. He married Kristia Cromer on June 11, 1989 in Haskel, Okla.
Surviving his wife, Kristia Lewis, of Grove; 10 children, James Manning Lewis, Jeffery Scott Lewis, Tina Maria Lewis, Cherisima Dudly, Amanda Lewis, Asa Dey-Rayle Lewis, Morgan Travis Lewis, Candice Lewis Brannigan, Jonathan Lewis, and Sarah Jane Lewis; four sisters, Carolyn Sue Jackson, Sharon Kay Dollarhide, Irvina McCoy, and Sandra Kay Self; and six grandchildren, Dashone Lewis, Serina Lewis, Andrew Dudley, Raven Lewis, Trinity Lewis and Charles Lewis.
The funeral will be at the graveside at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, in the Zena Cemetery. There will be veterans rites by the Grove Veterans Ritual Team. The services are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

JAMES HOWARD (JACK) LEWIS
FAIRLAND, Okla. - James Howard (Jack) Lewis, 80, of Fairland, Okla. died Saturday, February 3, 2001 at Baptist Regional Health Center after a sudden illness. Mr. Lewis was born November 18, 1920, in Geary, Okla. to Henry and Maggie (White) Lewis, he has lived in the Ottawa County area most of his life. He was a farmer and attended the Hudson Creek Baptist Church. Mr. Lewis married Ila Hanna on December 24, 1941 in Miami, Okla.
He is survived by his wife Ila Hanna of the home; son and daughter-in-law, John and Lisa Lewis of Bluejacket, Okla.; daughter and son-in-law, Connie and Bill Hughes of Fairland, Okla.; daughter and son-in-law, Jackie and Skip Lingle of Jay, Okla.; eight grandchildren, thirteen great grandchildren and one great great grandson also survive. Five brothers and one sister preceded Mr. Lewis in death.
Funeral services for Mr. Lewis will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 7, in the Hudson Creek Baptist Church south of Miami, Okla., Rev. Kenneth Duffell will officiate. Burial will be in the Williams Coal Creek Cemetery west of Miami, Okla. under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home Miami. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, James Hughes, Craig Oakley, Rusty Lewis, Clinton Oakley, Christopher Widick, Tony Wiseley, and Terry Estes. Honorary Pallbearers, JW Sample, Morris Merit, and Dr. Fred Ray. The family received friends from 6 to 8 Tuesday evening at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home Miami.

OLLIE MAE LEWIS
CLAREMORE, Okla. - Mrs. Ollie Mae Lewis, age 95, formerly of Adair, passed away Thursday, December 13, 2001 in Wood Manor Nursing Center, Claremore, where she has been a resident for the past several years. Mrs. Lewis, the daughter of Henry J. and Neppie (Blackstone) Hamilton, was born near Muskogee, Indian Territory on October 24, 1906.
Funeral services for Mrs. Lewis were conducted Monday, December 17, at 2:30 p.m. in the Memorial Chapel of Garner's Jim Green Funeral Home with Reverend Carl Helmuth officiating. Interment followed in the Old Adair Cemetery, northwest of Adair, with family and friends serving as casket bearers. Funeral service arrangements were under the care of Garner's Jim Green Funeral Home, Pryor.
Mrs. Lewis was born and lived her early childhood just east of Muskogee where she attended Frozen Rock Community School. At the age of 13 the family moved to Adair and Mayes County where she completed her education at Rock Creek Rural School and Adair Public Schools. She married Guy B. Lewis in Jasper County, Mo., on June 23, 1939. He preceded her in death on August 27, 1976. As a young lady she and her sisters worked in several cafes in the Vinita area and for many years she worked in the dietary department of Eastern State Hospital, Vinita. For the past several years she had been a member of the First Baptist Church, Verdigris. Ollie was proud that she was of Cherokee heritage and received land allotment from the Daws Commission. She enjoyed quilting, sewing, cooking, vegetable gardening, canning, reading, shopping and gospel music. She enjoyed cooking from scratch all of her pies, cakes, breads, cobblers and other food items. Ollie will be remembered as a hard-working, Christian, early pioneer lady who loved the Lord and her family.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by: her daughter, Neppie Moore, Claremore; her sisters, Nellie McDonald of Vinita, Maude Pierce of Grants Pass, Ore., and Mary Louise Judd of Joplin; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She is preceded in death by her husband, parents, five brothers, three sisters, four step-brothers, and two step-sisters.
In lieu of other remembrances, the family requests donations be made to the American Heart Association.

WILLIAM 'BILL' E. LIMES
OLATHE, Kan. - William "Bill" E. Limes, 59, of Olathe, Kan., passed away at the Olathe Medical Center on Wednesday, October 3, 2001. Funeral Mass will be held at 1:30 p.m. Monday, October 8, at the St. Patrick's Church in Parsons, Kan. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe. Rosary will begin at 7 p.m. The family suggests contributions to the Courntey Kelley Scholarship Fund c/o First National Bank 444 E. Santa Fe, Olathe, KS 66061 and/or St. Paul's Catholic Church, Olathe, KS 66061. The Memorial Chapel Funeral Home 143rd and Blackbob Rd. (913) 768-6777 is in charge of arrangements.
Bill was born November 20, 1941 in Iola, Kan., living the past 28 years in Olathe. He was a 1959 graduate of Labette County High School in Altamont, Kan. He received his Bachelors and Masters Degrees of Science from Pittsburg State University in Pittsburg, Kan.
He was a Navy Veteran serving as Hospital Corpsman at Balboa Naval Hospital in San Diego, Ca.
He taught science at Meadowbrook Junior High School in Shawnee Mission, Kan. He retired in September this year from Olathe North High School. He also served as the boys and girls golf coach while at Olathe North. He had taught at Olathe South High School and Johnson County Community College.
He was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Olathe and the Clockwinders Optimist Club and the Earl Collier Post #153 of the American Legion in Olathe.
He also served as City Council Member and a Volunteer Fireman in Grove. He worked and played at the Gardner Golf Course in Garner, Kan.
He was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah K. Limes, in 1962.
He leaves: wife, Sharon Limes, of the home; daughter, Pamela K. and husband, Gary Jobe, Fort Lewis, Wash.; son, Mark W. Limes, of the home; sister, Donna Sue Carson, Parsons, Kan.; brother, Christopher Limes, Wiesbaden, Germany; and grandchildren, Jordan Jobe and Haley Jobe.

LEALAND C. LINCICOME
GROVE - Lealand C. Lincicome, 89, died May 5, 2001 at his home in Grove. Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 8, at the First United Methodist Church, Grove, with Rev. Randy Hamill officiating. Burial will be on Wednesday, May 9, at 10:00 a.m. at White Chapel Cemetery, Wichita, Kan. The family will greet friends on Monday, May 7 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. at Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove.
Lealand C. Lincicome was born on April 17, 1912 to Francis and Rosa Johnson Lincicome in May, Okla. He married Frances Hedrick on December 26, 1934 in Wichita, Kan. He worked as a superintendent and built restaurant equipment for Ablah Hotel and Restaurant Supply for over 50 years. Mr. Lincicome was a member of the First United Methodist Church, and the Fellowship Sunday School Class.
He is survived by his wife, Frances of Grove; two daughters, Barbara Ott of Grove, and Patricia Parke of Wichita, Kan.; three sisters, Frances Hix of Las Vegas, Nev., Ula Griep of San Diego, Calif., and Abbie Lively of Wichita, Kan.; five grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, five brothers and two sisters.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home.

GEORGE B. LINN
COLCORD, Okla. - George Barney Linn, 63-year-old resident of Colcord, Okla., died Wednesday, September 19, 2001 at Grove Memorial Hospital in Grove. Born March 1, 1938, in Delaware County, he was the son of Lee Linn and Lena Foreman Linn. A retired truck driver, Mr. Linn had been a lifetime resident of the Colcord area. He was a Peacetime Veteran, serving in the United States Navy. Mr. Linn was a Baptist.
Survivors are: two sisters, Aline Scraper of Colcord, and Laura Trammell of Tahlequah; special friend Anna Lue Wood of Colcord; stepson Johnnie Linn, and stepdaughter Billie Linn, both of Joplin, Mo.
Visitation will be 6:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, September 21, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Saturday, September 22, at Wasson Memorial Chapel with Larry Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Row Cemetery, Colcord. Services are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

LOUISE DEANNA LOEHR
FAIRLAND - Louise Deanna Loehr, M.S.W., A.C.S.W., of Fairland was called home to be with her Lord Jesus Saturday, February 3, 2001 at her home. She was 73.
Mrs. Loehr was born July 28, 1927 to Otto and Mary Hampton Detherage of Grove. She attended school at Grove and Fairland, then graduated from Northeastern A&M College in Miami. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Pittsburg State University in 1965. She then received her Masters (MSW ACSW) from the University of Oklahoma in 1967. After graduating from OU with a Masters in Social Work she had a long and distinguished career working with adoptions for the Oklahoma Dept. of Social Service for five years, therapist for Ozark Mental Health for six years, and private practice in four counties in northeast Oklahoma for five years. She married Adolph Loehr in 1945 in Syracuse, KS. Together they raised four children.
Survivors include her husband Adolph; three sons, Dr. Anthony Loehr and wife Annette of Tulsa, Randolph Loehr and wife Debbie of Paris, TX, and John Loehr and wife Renee of Florence, AZ; one daughter, Patricia Oeltjen of Brighten, CO; nine grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at the St. Paul Lutheran Church in Fairland. Pastor Leo Schroeder officiated. Interment was at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery. Services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

MINNIE 'MAE' LOMAX
MIAMI, Okla. - Minnie "Mae" Lomax, 91, passed away at 12:15 a.m. Thursday, November 1, 2001 at the Leigh Manor Nursing Center, Picher, Okla., following an illness.
Mrs. Lomax was born September 15, 1910 on the family farm north of Afton to George and Charlotte (Fields) Payton. She attended the Lone Star School for several years and then Miami Public Schools, where she played basketball during her high school years. She married Ray Lomax May 2, 1937 in Vinita. Mrs. Lomax was a homemaker and active member of the P.T.A. while her children were in school. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church where she was a part of the Women's Missionary Union, as well as a Sunday school teacher and Sunday School Superintendent. Mrs. Lomax loved spending time with her children and grandchildren, knitting, fishing, cooking, horse races, and attending baseball games in Tulsa. She also had a special love for country music events she and her husband frequently attended.
Mrs. Lomax is survived by: three sons: John and wife, Sarah Lomax, Miami, Ray and wife, Teresa Lomax, Grove, and Wayne Lomax, Picher; one daughter, Jane and husband, Roy Gannaway, Ardmore, Okla.; seven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; three brothers, Lee Payton, Joe Payton, and Floyd Payton; and three sisters, Bessie Skaggs, Ruby Brawlay, and Elizabeth Payton.
Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Lomax will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 3, at the Fairland Cemetery with Rev. Joe Don Olds officiating. A visitation will be held from 7-8 p.m. Friday, November 2, at the First Baptist Church. Services are under the direction of the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.

CARL T. LONDAGIN
JENKS, Okla. - Carl T. Londagin, 82-year-old resident of Jenks, Okla., died Friday, December 28, 2001 at University Village Health Center in Tulsa, Okla. Born October 1, 1919, at Beck Prairie near Colcord, Okla., he was the son of Walter Londagin and Lizzie January Londagin. Mr. Londagin had been a resident of Jenks for the past five years and was a former longtime resident of the Colcord area. He was a retired rancher. Mr. Londagin was a former member of the Colcord School Board and the Delaware County Farm Home Administration Board. He was a member of the Colcord Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife Lou Ann Londagin of the home; one daughter, Judy Johnson of Jenks; one granddaughter, Lesley Jennings of Brooklyn, New York; one grandson, Michael Johnson of Phoenix, Ariz.; three brothers, Hubert Londagin of Colcord, J.R. Londagin of Tulsa, Jack Londagin of Tulsa; one sister, Ruby Spencer of Colcord.
Visitation will be Tuesday, January 1 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, January 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Wasson Chapel. Burial will be in Row Cemetery with funeral services under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

THELMA NELL LOOP
GROVE - Thelma Nell Loop, 69, passed away at her home in Buffalo Shores July 5, 2001. Thelma was born June 28, 1932 in Wellington, Kan. to George Timmis and Nettie Evans. She graduated high school in Wellington, Kan. In 1954, Thelma and Don P. Loop were united in marriage. Thelma enjoyed being a full time wife and mother. She was a member of the Church of Christ.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Don. Survivors are: three sons, Charles J. Loop of Jonesboro, Ark., Steven J. Loop and wife, Drusilla, of Hot Springs, Ark., and Paul J. Loop of Grove, and wife, Debra, of Enid; one daughter, Virginia McElroy of Franklin, Wis.; one sister, Mildred Chitwood, of Conway Springs, Kan.; one brother, Galen Bacon, of Tulsa; three grandchildren, Sara Naomi Loop of Enid, Adam Christopher of Enid, and Cierra Jane Loop of Hot Springs, Ark., and a host of friends.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 8, at the Turner Funeral Chapel, Grove. Officiating will be Skip McClain. Interment will be Monday, July 9, at the Little Rock National Cemetery in Little Rock, Ark. Services will be under the direction of the Turner Funeral Chapel, Grove.

EUGENE L. LOUTERS
GROVE - Eugene L. Louters, 73, of Grove, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, July 20, 2001 at the home of his daughter in Rocky Comfort, Mo., following a long illness.
Mr. Louters was born May 29, 1928 in Ridgefield, Wash. He served in the U.S. Army and moved to the Grove area five years ago from Iowa, where he had worked at the Public School system in LeMares, Iowa in the Maintenance Dept.
He is survived by two daughters, Vicky Arnes, LeMares, Iowa, and Beth Edmonds, Rocky Comfort, Mo.; one son, Scott Lauters, Lemares, Iowa; his mother, Laura Lauters of LeMares, Iowa; one sister, Mary Adler, Freemont, Neb.; six granddaughters; one grandson; one great granddaughter, and one great grandson.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Richard Lauters, and his father, Frank Lauters.
The body has been taken for cremation and memorial services will be held at LeMares, Iowa on July 27. Contributions in memory of Mr. Lauters may be made to the Plymouth Co. Museum or Pheasants Forever, C/O Clark Funeral Home, Neosho. Local arrangements under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.

GARY DEAN LOWE
AFTON, Okla. - Gary Dean Lowe, 60, of Afton, Okla., died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, Okla., after a sudden illness.
Mr. Lowe was born December 22, 1941 in Neosho, Mo., to Ralph and Marion (Johnson) Lowe. He has lived in Afton since 1965, moving here from the Anderson / Seneca area.
Mr. Lowe was an equipment operator for the Kempstone Co. in Pryor, Okla., and he worked at the Fairland, Okla., branch. He served in the Navy during the Vietnam Conflict, was a member of the NRA and the Labor Union of Tulsa. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Afton.
Mr. Lowe married Donna Woody on December 22, 1967 at her mother's home in Afton, she survives of the home.
Additional survivors include: son and daughter-in-law, Wade and Lisa Lowe, of Afton; a son, Sherman Lowe, of Bernice, Okla.; two sisters, Connie Worster of Colton, Calif., and Jenny Strader of Arlington Heights, Ill.
A brother, Jerry Lee Lowe, and a sister, Mary Lee Clements, preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, December 29, in the First Baptist Church, Afton. The Rev. Jim Drake will officiate. Mr. Lowe will be cremated after the service. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Afton.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 Friday evening at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Afton.
