DAISY MOORE
COMMERCE, Okla. - Daisy Moore of Commerce died at 12:15 a.m. Friday, September 28, 2001 at Eastwood Manor Nursing Home in Commerce after a long illness. She was 90. Mrs. Moore was born March 21, 1911 at Stonewall, Ark., to Mack and Millie (Hedger) Williams. She had lived in Commerce for 68 years, moving from Omaha, Ill. She was a homemaker. She married Chester I. Moore on March 5, 1942 at Girard, Kan. He preceded her in death on March 1, 1983. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Wilma Sheets, and a grandson, Michael Strong.
Survivors include: one son, Marshall Eugene Henson, of Commerce; one daughter, Millie Standlee, of Grove;, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, October 2, at 1 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami. Lonnie Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in G.A.R. Cemetery of Miami. The family will receive friends Monday evening from 7-8 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.

HILDAGARD ANN MOORE
WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. - Hildagard Ann Moore, 64-year-old resident of West Siloam Springs, Okla., died Thursday, June 14, 2001 in Choctaw, Okla. Born July 23, 1936 in Manning, N. D., she was the daughter of Emanuel Frank Staudinger and Ann Eleanor Kuntz Staudinger. Mrs. Moore had lived in the Siloam Springs, Ark., and West Siloam Springs, Okla, area since 1955. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence E. Moore, in June 1996, and two brothers, Frank Staudinger and Antone Staudinger.
Survivors include one brother, Adam Staudinger, of Miles City, Mont; two sisters, Gladys Pauline Atkison of Choctaw, Okla., and Magdalene Viola Pearson of Siloam Springs, Ark.; uncle, George M. Schwartzbauer of Underwood, N. D.; an aunt, Pauline Holland, of Gillett, Wyo., and a number of nieces and nephews.
Rosary was at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, June 17, at Wasson Memorial Chapel. Funeral mass was 10:00 a.m Monday, June 18, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Siloam Springs, with Father Richard Strock as the celebrant. Burial followed in Wedington Cemetery, Wedington, Ark. Services were under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Memorial contributions may be made to Saint Judes Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

JAMES D. MOORE
VINITA, Okla. - Mr. James D. "Jim" Moore, 66-year-old native of Vinita and owner-operator of C.R. Moore Chrysler Motor Company, died Monday morning, October 15, 2001 at Craig General Hospital
Mr. Moore was born on October 11, 1935 in Vinita, the son of Carus Ralph and Gladys Lucille (Ogg) Moore. He graduated from Vinita High School with the class of 1952. He graduated from the University of Oklahoma in 1956 with a business degree and played the French horn in the Pride of Oklahoma marching band. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959. Upon his return from the service, he started to work at the family automobile dealership, where he has worked for 42 years. He loved to work and read. He was a member of the Vinita First United Methodist Church, Lions Club, and Chamber of Commerce, and he was formerly scoutmaster of Troop #67, also serving in district positions with the scouts.
Mr. Moore is survived by his wife of 37 years, Sharon; three children, Scott Moore and his wife, Carrie, of Monkey Island, Laura Curl of Miami, and Chris Moore of Monkey Island; a brother, Ralph Moore and his wife, Allene, of Pryor, and four grandchildren. His parents and two sisters preceded him in death.
Funeral services for Mr. Moore will be held 10 a.m. Thursday, October 18, in the sanctuary of the First United Methodist Church of Vinita with Rev.. Charles Herndon officiating. Burial will be on the family plot of Fairview Cemetery in Vinita under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home.
A memorial has been established in Mr. Moore's name with the Craig County Outreach Cancer Association. Those wishing to remember him may do so in care of Carole Woodard, First National Bank, P.O. Box 407, Vinita, OK 74301.

MADISON NICOLE MOORE
CHELSEA, Okla. - Graveside services for Madison Nicole Moore were at 2 p.m. Tuesday, September 25, at the Chelsea Cemetery under the direction of the Chelsea Funeral Home.
Madison is the daughter of Billy and Jennifer Park Moore.
She is survived by her parents, Billy and Jennifer Moore, of Chelsea; maternal grandparents, Daryl and Lisa Park, of Chelsea; paternal grandparents, Karan and Bill Moore, of Bernice; maternal great-grandparents, Bill and Rosa Adair, Kenneth and Colleen Adair, and Minnie and Gary Clark, all of Chelsea; maternal great-great grandmother, Pauline Lewis, of Chelsea; uncles, Jordan Park of Chelsea, Tim Moore of Bernice, and Lynn and wife, Karen, of Houston, Texas; great aunt, Gina Adair, of Chelsea, and great-uncle Rick Adair and wife, Shirley, of Chelsea.

MARENA RUTH MOORE
GROVE - Marena Ruth Moore of Grove died Sunday, December 23, 2001 at the Grove Nursing Center. She was 86.
Mrs. Moore was born July 16, 1915 to Thomas and Pearl (Hughes) Johnson in Afton, Okla. She had lived most of her life in Wichita, Kan., working at Fourth National Bank in the cafeteria in Wichita. She was a member of the Sunny Side Baptist Church in Wichita. She married William "Boyd" Moore September 18, 1933 in Fairland, Okla. He preceded her in death in 1991.
Survivors include: William Moore and wife, Becky, of Grove, Jerry Moore and wife, Jodie, of Wichita; one brother, Earnest Johnson, of Miami, Okla.; three sisters, Helen Gardner and Faye Tipton, both of Miami, Okla., and Irene Ivy of Claremore, Okla.; three grandsons, and one great granddaughter.
Services were at 10 a.m. Thursday, December 27, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Rev. Sam Caper officiated. Interment will be at 2 p.m. Friday at the Old Mission Cemetery in Wichita, Kan., with Pastor Norman Tillotson officiating.

TILDA MAE MORROW
KANSAS, Okla. - Tilda Mae Morrow, 78-year-old resident of Kansas, Okla., died Tuesday, June 5, 2001 at her home. Born April 15, 1923 in Clifty, Ark., she was the daughter of Elmo C. Burkes and Bernie Cook Burkes. Mrs. Morrow had been a resident of the Kansas, Okla. area for most of her life. She was retired as a licensed Practical Nurse with Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs, Ark., and was also employed with Wal-Mart. She was a member of Order of Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by one brother, Shorty Burkes.
She is survived by two sons, James E. Morrow of Memphis, Tenn., and Terry R. Morrow of Langley, Okla.; one daughter, Lana Walters of Kansas, Okla.; three grandchildren, Dean Fanning, Jana Fanning and Jimmie Fanning, all of Kansas, Okla.; four great-grandchildren; six brothers, Keith Burkes of Wichita, Kan., Godard Burkes of Hindsville, Ark., Lionel Burkes of Springdale, Ark., Glen Burks of Sheridan, Ore., Earl Burkes of Huntsville, Ark., and Loy Burkes of Houston, Texas; and two sisters, Wanda Howard of Huntsville, Ark., and Bea Dew of Leach, Okla.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 7, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Ronnie Smallen officiating. Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

PAULINE BANKS MOSLEY
GROVE - Pauline Banks Mosley, age 94, died Monday, May 14, 2001 in the Grove Nursing Home. She was born on May 17, 1906 in Coffeyville, Kan. Pauline married Lunsford "Tom" Mosley and he preceded her in death in 1990. She was an office worker for Evan's Pest Control in Little Rock, Ark. for 20 years, retiring in 1971. Pauline moved to Grove from Little Rock in 1980. She is a member of the First Baptist Church.
Surviving her are three sons, Elwood Mosley of Cotter, Ark., Bob Mosley of Little Rock, Ark., and David Mosley of Tulsa, Okla.; a sister, Ruth D. Smith, of Bartlesville, Okla.; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Local arrangements are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. There will be a viewing in Little Rock, Ark. on Friday at the Griffen Leggett Healey and Roth Funeral Home. A graveside services is scheduled for 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 19, in the Pine Crest Cemetery in Little Rock.

ISSIE LEA MURPHY
GROVE - Funeral services for Issie Lea Murphy, 95, will be at 2 p.m. Friday, October 26, 2001 at the Church of God in Grove. Her son, the Rev. Carl Murphy will officiate, assisted by Rev. Robert Killman. Mrs. Murphy died Tuesday, October 23, at a nursing hme in Wagoner, Okla., where she had made her home for the past 17 years.
Mrs. Murphy was born March 4, 1906 in Grove to Marvin Boyd and Zora Pierson Boyd. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Grove. She enjoyed quilting and embroidery, but her favorite interest was flowers, which she grew with great success. It was said she arose in the morning talking to her flowers. Mrs. Murphy was preceded in death by her husband, Charley Murphy, in 1969; a son, Leslie Murphy; her parents; three sisters, Mamie Boyd, Mae Davis, and Inice Brown, and a brother, David Boyd.
She is survived by: her son, Rev. Carl Murphy and wife, Louise, Wagoner; three grandchildren, Carla Phillips, Wainright, Steve Murphy, Muskogee, Lisa Watkins, Edmond; three great grandchildren, Cory Howard, Blake Watkins and Perry Watkins. Interment will be in Buzzard Cemetery, Grove. Arrangements are by Mallett Funeral Home, Wagoner.

MICHAEL ALEX 'DEUTENBERG' MURRAY
GROVE - Michael Alex "Duetenberg" Murray went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 13, 2001 at Grove Nursing Center. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Michael Murray was born on September 29, 1960 in Kansas City, Kan. He joined the Murray family on February 12, 1967. He was a masonry contractor and lived most of his adult life in Texas.
He is survived by his parents, Billy and Sally Murray, of Grove; two sons, Michael Murray, Jr. and Billy D. Murray III, both of Grove; one daughter, Casey Drappo of Mesa, Ariz.; two stepdaughters, Le'Shea Langbeen of Mesa, Ariz., and Angela Chaney of West Virginia; three brothers, Billy Murray, Jr. of Parkville, Mo., James Murray of Grove, and Claude Klump of New York City, N.Y.; five sisters, Vickie Jones of Winchester, Kan., Judy Hitt of Pineville, Mo., Suzie Roach of Grove, Jackie Murshison of Grove, and Janice Hardgraves of Port Arthur, Wash., and one grandchild.
Donations to the Murray children may be made to Arvest Bank, P.O. Box 1018 Anderson, MO 64831. Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove.

ILA MAE MYERS
MIAMI, Okla. - Ila Mae Myers of Miami died at 7:04 p.m. Sunday, May 6, 2001 at the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center after an illness. She was 90. Miss Myers was born May 10, 1910 to Emmett C. and Nora (Chitwood) Myers on a farm east of Miami, but lived with her aunt, Mrs. Babcock, when she attended High School. Miss Myers was employed with the Department of Human Services, then called the Welfare Department, for many years. She served as the Director of the Ottawa County office for years before her retirement. Miss Myers was active in the Business and Professional Women's Club in Miami and also served as President. She was also active in the State Chapter of Business and Professional Women and served as a State President.
She enjoyed her flowers, especially roses, and was a longtime member of the Miami Garden Club. She served as President for two years. Miss Myers was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church, where she had served as a Deacon. She was President of the Presbyterian Womens for two years.
She is survived by her sister, Madeline Myers, of Miami. Her parents and a brother, Almon Clarence Myers, preceded her in death on May 3, 1975.
Funerals services for Ila May Myers will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, May 9, at the First Presbyterian Church with the Rev. John Wilson officiating. Burial will be in the Seneca Cemetery, Seneca, Mo. Memorial contributions are suggested to the First Presbyterian Church and may be sent in care of the funeral home.

ELEANOR (ELLA) MAE PAGE NEWTON
GROVE - Eleanor (Ella) Mae Page Newton, age 68, passed away on December 7, 2001 following a courageous battle with cancer.
Ella was born in Omaha, Neb., on May 10, 1933 to Emil and Evelyn Cejda, who preceded her in death, as did her brother, Jerry Cejda, and a sister, Marian Thompson.
Ella's family moved to Oklahoma City where she spent her childhood, attending John Carroll School and later graduating from Bishop McGuinness High School.
In April of 1953 Ella married Richard Dale Nelson and had three children, Richard Dale Nelson of Arlington, Texas, Cynthia Mason of Norman, Okla., and Roberta Lawrence of Oklahoma City.
Ella worked for Oklahoma Testing Laboratories for 19 years as a valued secretary. During this time her love of dancing led her to the love of her life, Dean Page, and they married in February, 1971. Ella and Dean retired in 1982 and moved to Grove, Oklahoma, where Dean preceded Ella in death.
Ella has many cherished friends in the community of Grove, where she became a devoted volunteer at Grove General Hospital, and was very active in the St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
Ella leaves behind her three children, Richard and his wife Marcia, and their children, Kimberly Stunkard and Erin Cassin; Cynthia and her husband Bob, and their daughter Sarah Elizabeth; and Roberta and her son Brent; her sister, Theresa Cannady of OKC; and numerous friends, nieces, and nephews.
Services will be Saturday, December 15, at 11 a.m. at the St. Elizabeth Parish in Grove.

STEVE NICHOLS
TULSA, Okla. - Steve Nichols of Tulsa, Okla., passed away Sunday, September 9, 2001 at the Tulsa Regional Hospital after a long illness. He was 52.
Steve was born on May 13, 1949 to John Ross and Alma Ruth (Mayfield) Nichols at Joplin, Mo. He graduated from Grove High School in 1968. He went on to attend Oklahoma State University and graduated in 1972 with a Bachelors of Science Degree.
After graduation from OSU, Steve moved back to Grove and established the Grove Cattle Company, along with his father and brother, raising Limousin cattle. He also owned and operated the Sailboat Grain Feed Mill in Grove and Nichols Brothers Business in Southwest City, Mo. Later, Steve owned and operated the American Dry Cleaners in Grove, Afton, Miami and Ketchum.
In later years, Steve devoted his time and energy to working with people addicted to alcohol and drugs. He was employed at the Northeast Oklahoma Counsel on Alcoholism as a counselor in Miami, Okla., and also counseled at the Salvation Army Drug and Alcohol Rehabilitation Center in Tulsa, Okla. Steve was very successful in this area and received several awards and recognitions. He was a fine Christian man and attended churches of all faiths.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother and sister-in-law, Nick and Jean Nichols.
Survivors are: three sons, Marc Nichols and wife, Talisha, of Claremore, Okla., Brian Nichols wife, Karin, of Grove, and Colby Nichols, also of Grove; one niece, Melissa Toohey and husband, Tim, of Monkey Island; two granddaughters, Lacey and Andrea Nichols, of Claremore, and many other loving relatives and friends.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, September 13, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove under the direction of the Thomas Funeral Home, Welch. Rev. Guy Morrow to officiate. A visitation for family and friends will be held at the funeral home from 6 - 8 p.m. Wednesday. In lieu of flowers, Steve may be remembered with gifts to the Salvation Army in Tulsa.

CHARLES E. "CHUCK" NICKOLLS
GROVE - Charles E. "Chuck" Nickolls, 70, of Grove, died at 3:37 p.m. Monday, September 17, 2001 at St. John's Medical Center in Joplin. He suffered an apparent heart attack. Mr. Nickolls was born October 18, 1930 in McKeesport, Pa., to Edward Charles and Gehenna F. Keller Nickolls. He served with the U.S. Army in both Korea and Vietnam. He was an accountant in Virginia, retiring in 1975. He has been a resident of Grove for the past 10 years and operated Nickolls Tax Service.
He married Billie Latty on November 11, 1949 in Sulphur Springs, Ark. She survives of the home.
Survivors are: three sons, Robin Nickolls, of Santee, Calif., Cary Nickolls, of Berthoud, Colo., and William Nickolls, of Charlottesville, Va.; a daughter, Tracey Hoard, of Chantilly, Va.; one sister, Evelyn Gianpino, of Farmington, Mich.; two grandchildren and four great grand children.
Memorial services will be 2 p.m. Friday at the Thornhill-Dillon Mortuary, Joplin. Rev. Larry Six will officiate. Internment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the New York Firefighters 9-11 Disaster Relief Fund in care of the mortuary.
