NANCY EILEEN (GRUBB) WADLEY
TULSA, Okla. - Nancy Eileen (Grubb) Wadley, 75, died Tuesday, December 11, 2001 in Tulsa, Okla. She was born September 24, 1926 in Shenandoah, Pa. Preceded in death by parents, Barney and Irene Grubb, husband, George F. Robinson, son, George B. Robinson, four brothers and one sister.
Survived by: husband, Paskel Wadley; daughter, Lori Jones, Shelbyville, Tenn.; sons, Gregory Robinson, Topeka, Kan., Keith Robinson, Glenpool, Okla., Mark Robinson, Lutz, Fla., and Trudy Cecco, Jacksonville, Fla.; 11 grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.
Services were held 1 p.m. Thursday, December 13, Oliver-Whisenhunt Chapel. Interment in Fort Gibson National Cemetery.

ROBERT B. WALKER
SOUTHWEST CITY, Mo. - Robert B. Walker, 94, of Southwest City, Mo., died on Saturday, November 10, 2001 at 11 a.m. at Grove General Hospital in Grove after an illness. Mr. Walker was born on March 2, 1907 in Grove to the late Bob and Mae (Carr) Walker. He had lived all of his life in the Southwest City and Tiff City, Mo. ,areas. He was a member of the Seneca United Methodist Church. He worked first in construction, then as the postmaster in Tiff City, then served as Missouri State Representative from this area. He finished his working career as a Dairy Price Inspector for the State of Missouri. He was a 50+ member of the Masons of Southwest City and later in Anderson, Mo. He was a member of the Scottish Rite in Tulsa, Okla. He married Marie Tosh on April 3, 1934.
Survivors include: his wife, Marie; one sister, Opal Cochran, Phoenix, Ariz., and several nieces and nephews.
Mr. Walker will be cremated and private family service will be held at a later date. His remains will be buried in the Council House Cemetery in Tiff City, Okla. Memorial contributions in memory of Mr. Walker may be given to the Council House Cemetery in care of the Ozark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 520, Anderson, MO 64831.

EMMA 'MAE' WALTHALL
TOPEKA, Kan. - Emma "Mae" Walthall, 82-years-old, died Tuesday, August 28, 2001. She was born May 1, 1919 in Cheraw, Colo., to John David and Annie Flora (Yaden) Benge. She married Carmen Lee Walthall March 9, 1935 in Jay, Okla. She has lived in the Topeka, Kan., area for 60 years. Emma was a member of the Community Baptist Church in Willard, and bowled in several Topeka bowling leagues.
Survivors are: two daughters, Anna Mae Viergever, of Auburn, Kan., and Judy Walthall, of Topeka, Kan.; four sons, John E. Walthall, and Richard L. Walthall, both of Lawrence, Kan., James "Lawrence" Walthall, of Joplin, Mo., and Brett Alan Walthall, of Topeka, Kan.; 19 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren, and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 4, at the Parker-Price Chapel. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Topeka. Emma "Mae" Walthall will lie in state at Parker-Price Mortuary after 4 p.m. Monday, September 3, where the family will receive friends from 7 - 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions can be sent to American Cancer Society, 1315 S.W. Arrowhead Rd, Topeka, KS 66604-4020.
Services are under the direction of Parker-Price Mortuary, Topeka, Kan.

ANNIE WATERMELON
JAY, Okla. - Annie Watermelon, a lifelong resident of Jay, died Thursday, September 13, 2001 at the age of 88 in her home at Watermelon Holler.
She was born on February 19, 1913 in Delaware County to John and Luella (Peak) Watermelon. She was a homemaker and a member of the Tsa-La-Gi Methodist Church in Jay, and a full blood member of the Cherokee Nation.
Even though she never had any children of her own, she was known as "grandma" to all children and loved them all.
She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Lillie Ketcher and a baby sister Watermelon; and five brothers, Lee, Ketcher, Ned, Wilson, and a baby boy Watermelon.
Survivors are: a sister-in-law, Viola Watermelon; seven nieces, Edna Sultzer, Melvina King, Lou Ella Edward, Ruth Pickup, Billie Nofire, Kittie Sharp and Pam Coatney; and three nephews, Clifford Loftis, Buck and Aaron Tanner.
The funeral was at 2 p.m. on Monday, September 17, in the Tsa-La-Gi Indian Methodist Church in Jay. The interment was in the Indianola Cemetery. The services were under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

L.C. "CARL " WATSON
LANGLEY, Okla. - L.C. "Carl" Watson, 73, passed away on Monday, October 15, 2001 in Broken Arrow, Okla. He was born October 4, 1928 in Barnsdall, Okla., to Olen Wesley and Teresa Helen Watson. Carl grew up in Tulsa, Okla., where he graduated from Will Rogers High School with the class of 1946. He attended college at OSU before enlisting in the United States Air Force, where he attained the rank of Lieutenant while serving in Germany and France. Carl married Suzanne Wildenmann on June 26, 1954 in Tulsa. She preceded him in death March 7, 2000, as did a son, Bill Watson, on July 2, 2001, and his parents. Carl retired from Gea-Rainey Corp. of Catoosa, Okla., in 1998 after 25 years with the company. He was still working part time for the company at the time of his death.
Surviving are: a daughter and son-in-law, Debbie and Larry Kropp, Quapaw, Okla.; one son, Terry Watson, Tulsa; four grandchildren, Jennifer Smith and husband, Brian, Colony, Texas; Robin Parmley, Langley; Katie Kropp, Russellville, Ark.; David Kropp, Tahlequah, Okla.; six great-grandchildren Jarrett, Sydney, Emma-Leigh, Ashlyn, Wendell and McKabe; his fiancé and high school sweetheart, Joan Beam, Broken Arrow, Okla.; four brothers-in-law, Jerry Wildenmann, Langley, Mark Wildenman, Palm Springs, Calif., Charlie and wife, Karen, Wildenmann, Twin Falls, Idaho, and Phil and wife, Dixie, Wildenmann, Disney, Okla.; a sister-in-law, Karen and husband, Jim Murray, Lumpkin, Ga.; one uncle, Paul Ford and wife, Judy, of Tahlequah, Okla., and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends,
The family will receive friends and relatives at the Watson home, west of Ketchum, Okla., Thursday evening, October 18. Memorial services will be held 2 p.m. Friday, October 19, at the First Christian Church, Langley. Officiating jointly will be Pastor Joel Rutherford and Steve Broderick. Services will be under the direction of the Turner Funeral Chapel, Langley.

OPAL KATHLEEN WEAVER
MIAMI, Okla. - Opal Kathleen Weaver, 65, of Miami, formerly of rural Fairland, died Thursday, May 17, 2001 at Baptist Regional Health Center. Mrs. Weaver was born February 19, 1936 in Fairland, Okla. to Bart and Ella (Johnson) Richardson. She has lived in Ottawa County most of her life. Mrs. Weaver was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith. She married Wayne Weaver, Sr. on March 5, 1955 in Miami.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne Weaver Sr., of the home; a son, Wayne Weaver, Jr. of Cardin, Okla.; two brothers, Robert Richardson of Miami, and Benjamin Charles Richardson of Picher, Okla., and two grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 19, in the Sixkiller Cemetery south of Afton, Okla. Rev. Clyde Stilley will officiate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home Commerce.

MARY LE WEELEY
JAY, Okla. - Mary Le Weeley, 81, went to be with the Lord at 3:44 a.m. September 26, 2001 at Grove General Hospital.
Mary Weeley was born to John and Ti Anna (Rider) Levi in Terasita, Okla., on September 24, 1920. She lived in the Oaks Mission after her parents died in 1929. Mrs. Weeley married Jim Blackbear at Kenwood, Okla., on January 25, 1936. He preceded her in death on February 18, 1972. She married Dick Weeley on May 8, 1977 and he preceded her in death on March 17, 1993. Mrs. Wheeley was a lifetime resident of the Jay area. She was past president of the Women's Missionary Union at Steeley Baptist Church and enjoyed sewing quilts with the sisters of the church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be missed by her family and friends.
Survivors are: four sons, Jimmy Blackbear, and Joseph Blackbear, both of Jay, Richard Blackbear of Eucha, and John Blackbear, of Kenwood; three daughters, Marie Weeley and husband, Leo, of Jay, Lois King and husband, Homer, of Kenwood, and Margaret Goins of Grove; son-in-law, Gerald Williams, of Eucha; one stepson, Robert Staller, of Jay; three stepdaughters, Betty Wilson of Lanagan, Mo., and Annabelle Lowe and Maybelle Thrasher, both of Noel, Mo.; two stepbrothers, Lee Weeley and Leo Weeley, both of Jay; 27 grandchildren, and 30 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, one son, Gerald Blackbear, and one daughter, Diane Williams.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, September 28, at Steeley Baptist Church with Richard Soldier and Larry Kingfisher officiating. Burial will follow at Yellow Tree Cemetery. Family will greet friends on Thursday, September 27, from 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.

AGNES (TOOTIE) WELCH
CLAREMORE, Okla. - Agnes (Tootie) Welch of Claremore, Okla., passed away August 23 at her home. Mrs. Welch, wife of Butler H. Welch, former Grove resident, was born near Tahlequah, Okla.
Survivors are her husband, Butler, of the home; one son, John Cobb Welch, and grandchildren.
Services are pending with Musgrove-Merritt-Smith Funeral home of Claremore.

WESLEY G. WENTWORTH
WYANDOTTE, Okla. - Wesley G. Wentworth died at his home Thursday, after a lengthy illness. He was 74. He was born at Clearwater, Kan., on April 10, 1927 to Claude and Emma Arbsland Wentworth. He was a veteran, having served in the US Air Force. He was a self-employed drilling contractor and electrician before retiring. He had lived at Wyandotte for six years, coming from Grove, where he had lived for 30 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Grove. He married Mary Lou Sanderson at Tulsa on December 7, 1947.
Survivors include: his wife, Mary Lou; two daughters, Elizabeth Ann Schmohe and husband, Rodney, Wyandotte, and Carol Lee Melcolm, Joplin, Mo.; a brother, Donald R. Wentworth, Lakewood, Colo.; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The body has been cremated. A memorial graveside service was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, November 5, at Olympus Cemetery in Grove with Rev. Larry Kennard officiating. Arrangements provided by Adcock Funeral Home of Fairland.

FRANCIS "FRANK" WEST
GROVE - Francis "Frank" West, of Grove, died Thursday, March 30, 2001 at the Grand Lake Villa Nursing Home after a long illness. He was 82. Mr. West was born December 5, 1918 to William and Loukita Saltz West in Arkansas. He served in the United States Army during WWII and received numerous medals, including the Purple Heart. He was a lifetime area resident and spent most of his life farming and working as a mechanic in Grove and Southwest City, Mo. He was also a member of the American Legion. Mr. West married Cora England in 1946.
He is survived by his wife, Cora of Grove; one daughter, Fran Cearly and husband Phillip of Grove. Three sons, Don West and wife Kitty of Tulsa, Okla.; Rick West and wife, Sherry of Grove; Mike West and wife Alma of Commerce, Okla.; two brothers, Jud West of Grove, and Noel West of Washington State; nine grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Services will be 2:00 p.m.. Saturday, March 31, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Rev. John E. Butler to officiate. Interment will be at the Butler Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

JAMES RICHARD WEST, SR.
GROVE - James Richard West, Sr., age 67, died Wednesday, June 6, 2001 after a sudden illness. The son of Thomas and Daisy (Greer) West, he was born on August 15, 1933 in San Jose, Calif. Jim worked pipelining and was a member of the Teamsters Union. He retired in 1994 at which time he started West Yard Decor south of Grove. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, John West. Jim married Dorothy Jean Burger on July 16, 1954 in Grove.
He is survived by his wife, Dorothy West, of Grove; children, Sherry Jean Lavender and husband, Bud, of Vinita, Okla., James Richard West, Jr. and wife, Ramona, of Heavener, Okla., Beth Ann Hubbard and husband, Wayne, of Chickasha, Okla., and Joey Glenn West and wife, Lisa, of Grove; two brothers, Robert West and wife, Lou, of Jay, Okla., and Larry West and wife, Nancy, of Grove; two sisters, Gladys Allen of Tulsa, Okla., and Doris West of Grove; 12 grandchildren and one great-grandson.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 9, in the New Song Church with Pastor Steve Dyer officiating. The interment was at the Butler Cemetery. Services were under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

LORNA A. WESTBERG
GROVE - Lorna A. Westberg died August 13, 2001 after a brave battle with cancer. She was born to Claus A. and Olga Westberg on June 17, 1922 in Fargo, N.C. Lorna's love of music was the reason she attended Concordia College in Minnesota and the University of Tulsa, pursuing her degree in music. World War II interrupted her quest for a sheepskin because she enlisted in the Women's Army Corp (WAC) and played in a traveling WAC band. After WWII she settled in Tulsa, and played with the Tulsa Symphony while working as a cartographer with large oil and gas related companies. After she retired, she moved to Meghan Coves in Grove where she has lived for the last eight years. Her friends will remember her love of life and independence. She never met a stranger. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors are: sister, Francine Falkon of Marietta, Ga.; son, Peter M. Bratlie and his wife, Toni, of Shreveport, La; three grandsons, Jason, Luke and Paul, all of Shreveport; a great-granddaughter, Zoe, also of Shreveport, and her close friend of 40 years, Connie Allen.
A gathering will be held to celebrate Lorna's life on Sunday, August 19, at 3:30 p.m. in the Meghan Coves Clubhouse.
The family wishes to express their appreciation to her many friends and caregivers. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society or the Good Shepherd Hospice of Grove.
