IDA O. WESTON
AFTON, Okla. - Ida O. Weston, 100, of Afton, Okla., died Wednesday, December 26, 2001 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Okla., after an illness.
Mrs. Weston was born June 27, 1901 in Pensacola, Okla., to Christopher E. and Mary Ann (Bowers) Sparks. She has lived in the Afton area most of her life.
Mrs. Weston was a homemaker and a member of the First Baptist Church, Afton.
Mrs. Weston married Jay Weston in 1923, he preceded her in death in December 1969.
Survivors: great niece, Carolyn Birdsong, Sand Springs, Okla., and numerous nieces and nephews. Four sisters, one brother and one stillborn child preceded her in death.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Friday, December 28, in the Smith Funeral Home, Sapulpa, Okla. Rev. Todd Stewart officiated. Funeral services were under the direction of Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Afton. Burial was 2 p.m. Friday at the G.A.R. Cemetery, Miami, Okla., under the direction of Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Afton.

ORPHA JEWELL WEVER
BARTLESVILLE, Okla.- Orpaha Jewell Wever, 77-year-old former Vinita resident, passed away Sunday, May 13, 2001 at the Heritage Villa Nursing Center in Bartlesville.
Orpha Jewell was born February 19, 1924 in Ft. Cobb, Okla. to Harry and Inez (Beavel) Hayes. She was a retired telephone operator for Southwestern Bell and a member of the Telephone Pioneers of Okla., as well as a member of the First Baptist Church of Vinita. Orpha Jewell was united in marriage to Olen Ralph Wever on October 5, 1945, at Vinita. He preceded her in death on Nov. 13, 2000.
She was also preceded in death by her parents and one brother. Survivors include three sons, Clifford Wever and wife, Karen, of Bartlesville, Gary Wever and wife, Restie, of Bellevue, Ne., and Paul Wever; one brother, Tommy Hayes, of Lubbock, Texas, and three grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wed., May 16, at Bluejacket Cemetery in Bluejacket. Rev. Henry McClain, pastor of Bunker Hill Baptist Church, will officiate. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Wed., May 16, at Burckhalter Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to the Washington County Emergency Management, P.O. Box 1155, Bartlesville, OK 74005, or to the Carter Hospice Care, One West 36th St. North, Suite 1, Tulsa, OK 74106. Services are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home of Vinita.

JAMES KENTON WHEATLEY
GROVE - James Kenton Wheatley, 65, former Welch, Okla., resident, passed away Friday afternoon, November 9, 2001 at St. John's Hospital, in Joplin, Mo., after a short illness. Mr. Wheatley was born on October 30, 1936 in Welch, Okla. His parents were James E. and Beulah Ryan Wheatley. He attended school in Welch and was a graduate of the Welch High School Class of 1954. As a young man Mr. Wheatley worked with his father in the Wheatley Grocery Store in Welch. Later he became the owner of the business and operated it until 1969. After the store closed he became employed with the Frito Lay Company in Tulsa, Okla., for 17 years. Leaving Frito Lay, he began the Wheatley Vending Company in Afton with his son Stacy. On November 2, 1972 he married Betty Lou McGuire at the First Christian Church in Afton, Okla. For the last 30 years, he and his wife owned and operated the Dairy Ranch Drive In at Buffalo Ranch near Afton. Mr. Wheatley was a good Christian man and was a member of the First Christian Church in Welch, Okla. He served in the Untied States Army for several years. Although he worked hard his entire life, Mr. Wheatley always found time for the things that mattered most to him, his wife, children, and grandchildren. He enjoyed buying and selling antiques and had a special interest in antique cars.
Preceding Mr. Wheatley in death are his parents and one grandchild.
He is lovingly survived by: wife, Betty Lou; son, Stacy Wheatley, Grove; daughter, Terri Fitzpatrick, Bluejacket, Okla.; stepsons, Harold McGuire, Bluejacket, Okla., and Keet McGuire, Catoosa, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Albrey, Caleb, and Ryan Wheatley, all of Fairland, Okla., Kaitlin Fitzpatrick, Bluejacket, Okla., Courtney and Holly McGuire, Bluejacket, Okla., and Justin and Kendall McGuire, Grove; and many other dear relatives and friends.
Mr. Wheatley's services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, November 12, at the Independent Baptist Church in Grove. Reverend Ray Melugin officiated. Serving as pallbearers were: Jim Love, Glen Giles, Stacy Humble, Jerry Chandler, Link Bassett and Richard Bassett. Honorary Pallbearers were Bud Highsmith, Dick Bassett, Rubin Tipton, Jim Blyth, and Dale Stewart. Interment was in the Williams Timberhill Cemetery east of Welch. Mr. Wheatley's services were under the direction of Jim Thomas of the the Thomas Funeral Home in Welch.

IRENE SCHOOLEY WHITE
MIAMI, Okla. - Irene Schooley White of Miami died at the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center at 3 a.m. Sunday, September 9, 2001 after an illness. She was 81.
Mrs. White was born November 29, 1919 to William Henry and Mary Kathryn (McClintic) Schooley at Miami. She was a graduate of Miami High School.
She had worked as a Professional Secretary for the late Bryce Ballinger, attorney. She later worked as a devoted Secretary to the late R.C. Nichols, Superintendent of the Miami Public School System, for 19 years, and as secretary to three ministers of the First Presbyterian Church, the Rev. J. Donald Kruithof, Rev. Dan Fullerton, and Rev. Patrick Hurley.
She married G.R. White on June 23, 1950 at Miami, he preceded her in death on January 28, 1997. Her parents and a sister, Mary, also preceded her in death.
Survivors are: one brother, William Schooley, of Coffeyville, Kan.; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Jane Eggiman, of Spring Lake, N.J.; and several nieces and nephews.
At the request of Mrs. White, no services are planned and the body has been cremated.
Arrangements were under the direction of the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home of Miami.

GORDON M. WHITETREE
WYANDOTTE, Okla. - Gordon M. Whitetree, 62, Wyandotte, died Monday afternoon at his home following a long illness. He was born October 4, 1938 at Wyandotte, the son of Ogal and Clara Jane Whitetree. He was a lifetime area resident. He owned and operated a retail tobacco shop. He served with the U.S. Air Force from 1954 until 1962. He graduated from Chillocco Indian School in Arkansas City, Kan., attended Longbeach City College and earned a degree in drafting. He married Catherine Ann Kish December 11, 1960 and she survives of the home.
Survivors are: two sons, Gordon A. Whitetree and wife, Suzanne, and their children, Hunter, Cheyenne, Ansley, Leland, and John Tanner, all of Kingsbay, Ga., and Clifton Michael Whitetree of Grove; one daughter, Stephanie M. Whitetree Vice and husband, Kent, and their children, Eva Catherine, Nina Elizabeth, Shannah Renee, and Stephanie Ann, all of Jay; sisters, Hazel Wallace, Christina Stanger, Margaret Dunning and Lenora Sparks, all of Wyandotte, and Becky Whitetree, Glenpool, Okla., Sallie Leaf, Wyandotte; two brothers, Tommy Whitetree, of Miami, and Terry Whitetree of Tulsa. He was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lind, three brothers, James White Eagle, Jerry D. Whitetree, and Clifton Rex Whitetree; one son, Matthias Schrimpscher Breat It Nail Whitetree, and by his parents.
Graveside services and Indian Rites will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bassett Grove Cemetery, N.E. of Grove, at the Seneca Cayuga Tribal Grounds. Paul Barton will conduct the service.
Pallbearers will be Richard Wallace, Craig Stanger, James White Eagle, Jr., Patrick Leaf, Dale Whitetree, Greg Sparks, Tracy Whitetree, and Mike Lane. Honorary Pallbearers will be John Froman, Terry Battenfield, Charlie Logan, Ed Osborn and Rick Stewart.
Gordon will lie in state at the family home, 103 E. Broadway, Wyandotte. Services are under the direction of Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home, Seneca, Mo.

ROGER MILES WHITNEY
GROVE - Roger Miles Whitney, 55, died October 20, 2001 at Grove Nursing Center after a lengthy illness. Services were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October, 23, at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sam Carper officiating.
Roger Whitney was born on March 24, 1946 in Wichita, Kan., to Elza William Whitney and Mildred Margaret Reiswig Whitney. He attended Grove High School and NEO A&M College. Mr. Whitney married Sherry Hibbard on November 27, 1970 in Grove. He worked as a boat mechanic for Terra Miranda for over 28 years. His hobbies included fishing, playing pitch and bowling.
He is survived by his wife, Sherry, of Grove; three sons, Joe and wife, Candy, of Grove, Michael and wife, Kim, U.S. Army Germany, and Brent and wife, Michelle, of Grove; two brothers, Leon Whitney, Grove, and Douglas Whitney and wife, Ione, Port Orchard, Wash.; five sisters, Connie Whitney and Bonnie Whitney, both of Duncan, Okla., Rita Case and husband, Gary, Grove, Paula Medders, Grove, and Carla May and husband, David, Ketchum, Okla.; sister-in-law, Diana Whitney, Grove; and seven grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father in 1970 and his mother in 1976.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association, University of Washington, Genetic Section, 1660 S. Colombian Way, Seattle, WA. Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove.

FRANCES LOUISE WILKERSON
COLCORD, Okla. - Frances Louise Wilkerson, 74-year-old resident of Colcord, Okla., died October 5, 2001 in Siloam Springs, Ark. Born August 16, 192 in Delaware County, she was the daughter of Jay Hugh Wilkerson and Ethel C. Bishop Wilkerson. A lifetime resident of Colcord, Frances was a homemaker and a member of the Mosely Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two sisters, Barbara Whitmire and Maxine Larmon, both of Colcord; three brothers, Barney Wilkerson, Bill Wilkerson, Kenneth Wilkerson, all Colcord, and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Monday, October 8, at Wasson Memorial Chapel with Brother Lloyd Johnston officiating. Burial followed in Blagg Cemetery near Siloam Springs. Services were under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

ALBA MAY WILLIAMS
GROVE- Alba May WIlliams, 83, died Sunday, July 8, 2001 at Grand Lake Villa. Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 11, at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel.
Alba was born on May 17, 1918 in Barry County, Mo., to Elam and Minnie Jane Bier Bailey. She worked as a seamstress during her adult life. Mrs. Williams had lived in the Grove area for a year, coming from Monett, Mo., where she lived from 1993 - 2000.
Survivors are: three daughters, Nadean Gray, Monett, Mo., Fern Rumley and husband, John, Oklahoma City, and Donna Gardner and husband, Bryan, Grove; two sons, Gilbert L. McNiel and wife, Etta Jo, Cassville, Mo., and Calvin O. McNiel and wife, Bonnie, of Butterfield, Mo.; 16 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren. Mrs. Williams was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Wyatt Bailey.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, 918-786-4172.

BONNIE LOU WILLIAMS
MIAMI, Okla. - Mrs. Bonnie Lou Williams was born January 1, 1944 to George Robison Sr. and Lora Thornton Robison in Miami. She graduated from Wyandotte Schools and has lived in this area all her life. She was a cook for D.O.C. Nutrition and was a member of the Apostolic Assembly of God Church. Mrs. Williams married Donald Leroy Williams on January 1, 1962 in Miami on her 19th birthday. She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother, and one sister.
Survivors are: her husband, Donald, of the home; three sons and their wives, David Leroy and Sherri Williams of Miami, Troy Don and Jane Williams of rural Miami, and Joey Dee and Rene Williams of Miami; one brother, Virgil L. Robison, of Riverton, Wyo.; two sisters, Vonetia V. Wilmoth of Altus, Okla., and Lora Zetta Ross of Miami, and seven grandchildren.
Services will be at 2 pm Tuesday, October 2, at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home Chapel in Commerce with the Rev. Phil Shyers officiating. Interment will follow in the G.A.R. Cemetery of Miami under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home of Commerce. The family will receive friends and relatives Monday, October 1, from 7-8 p.m. at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce. Casket bearers will be: Adam Williams, John Williams, Scott Williams, Toni Williams, Randy Keller, Jess Stipes, Jared Miller and Chad Ross.

EDDIE WILLIAMS
ANDERSON, Mo. - Edmond Ray Williams, 75, of Anderson, Mo., died on Thursday, July 12, 2001 at 4:45 a.m. at his home after an illness. Mr. Williams was born on November 2, 1925 at Bethpage, Mo., to the late Reverend Johnny A. and Lelah Pansy (Davis) Williams. He lived all of his life in the McDonald County area. He was a member of the Tracy Community Church in Anderson, Mo., and a member of the Republican Club, serving eight years as Missouri State Representative from 1976 to 1982 in District #140, and from 1984 to 1986 in District #131. He served as McDonald County Clerk for 14 years, and was a teacher for nine years in Rural McDonald County. He attended Southwest Baptist College Southwest and Southwest Missouri State College.
He married Ivy Irene Stephens on May 10, 1952 in Bentonville, Ark. She survives of the home.
Additional survivors are: five daughters, Pam Wood and husband, Steve, of Tulsa, Debra Gosnell and husband, Michael, of Conway, Ark., Marsha Martin and husband, Marty, of Little Rock, Ark., Linda Arend and husband, Greg, of Tulsa, and Kathy Johnson and husband, Rick, of Tulsa; two sons, Steve Williams and wife, Velva, of Grove, and Tim William and wife, Sydnie, of Bella Vista, Ark.; three brothers, Vergil Williams of Stella, Mo., Jay WIlliams of Warrensburg, Mo., and Clyde Williams of Wichita, Kan.; one sister, Mary Ann Smith, of Grove; 15 grandchildren, and one great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Terry Williams, a son, Teddy Williams, two brothers, Rama Williams and Arvel (Cotton) Williams, and two sisters, Edith Cox and Wilma Williams.
Funeral services for Mr. Williams will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, July 15, at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo. Rev. Malcolm Mosby will officiate. Burial will be in the Tracy Cemetery in Anderson, Mo.
Pallbearers will be grandsons Matt Wood, Fletcher Martin, Josh Williams, Chase Martin, Lee Johnson, and Sean Sammons. Honorary Pallbearers will be Brent Wood, Reid Williams and Nate Williams.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, from noon until 8 p.m. at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 - 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions can be given to the St. John's Hospice, American Heart Association or the American Cancer Society.

ZELKOVA EVE VALENTINE WILLIAMS
ZENA, Okla. - Zelkova Eve Valentine Williams, infant daughter of DeWayne and Sara (Lee) Williams, died Monday, October 1, 2001 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Memorial services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, October 4, at Newsong Church in Grove with Pastor Steve Dyer officiating.
Zelkova Williams was born on February 14 in Grove.
Survivors include: her parents, DeWayne and Sara Williams, Zena; five sisters, Ruth Luthy, Teacia, Alyssa, Shiloh and Sierra Williams; two brothers, Arron and Alex Williams, all of Zena; grandparents, Alvin and Margaret Lee, Zena, and Grace Smith, Fla.; great grandparents, Joseph and Eunice Smith, Appleton, Wash., and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, 918-786-5172.

ENOLA KATHRYN WILLIAMSON
GROVE - Enola Kathryn Williamson, 91, met her Lord Tuesday evening, April 19, 2001. Enola was the daughter of George and Lena Lambeth of Verona, Mo. She attended Verona Elementary School and graduated from Aurora High School, later taking a job with Bechtel, Price and Callahan during WWII. Taking part in the construction of the Alcan Highway, which crosses the Yukon Territory. in 1947, Enola met Wendall Williamson, a Canadian Engineer. They were married in a log cabin church at a town called White Horse in the Yukon Territory. There they lived for 10 years and moved to South Carolina, and there lived for 20 years. After their retirement they moved to Florida. In 1994, after Wendall passed away, Enola moved to Grove to be with her sister. Her parents, two brothers, Gibson and Eugene Lambeth, and husband, Wendall, preceded Enola in death.
She is survived by one sister, Virginia King, of Zena, Okla., and a nephew, Charles and wife, Hiawathe King, also of Zena, Okla.
Graveside services will be held at the Spring River Cemetery in Verona, Mo. Tuesday, April 24, at 11:00 a.m. There will also be a Memorial service held at the Grove Presbyterian Church at 2:00 p.m. Friday, April 27. The family requests, in lieu of flowers, that donations be sent to the Spring River Cemetery, P.O. Box 97 Verona, MO 65679. Services will be held under direction of Turner Funeral Chapel Grove.
