ETHEL MARY YOUNG
MONKEY ISLAND, Okla. - Ethel Mary Young, 96, of Monkey Island, died Tuesday, May 15, 2001 at her home after an illness. Mrs. Young was born May 27, 1904 to Mr. and Mrs. Columbus Kelley in Ironton, Mo. She has lived on Monkey Island since 1963, moving here from Kansas City, Kan. She married Dewey Blake Young on March 13, 1930 in Tahlequah, Okla. He preceded her in death May 5, 1978. Mrs. Young was a homemaker and member of the St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Fairland, Okla.
Mrs. Young was also preceded in death by three sons, Eual and Earl Cathey and James Young; daughter, Pauline Welch; seven brothers, Silas, Paul, Lewis, Fred, Joe and Herb Kelley, and two sisters, Toots Tierney and Myrtle Guthrie. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Lanece Young, of Tulsa, Okla.; 14 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; four great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 18, in the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Afton, Okla. Pastor Leo Schroeder will officiate. Graveside services will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, May 18, in the Tahlequah City Cemetery in Tahlequah, Okla. under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Afton.

ANNA ELIZABETH (DUNN) YOUNGBERG
CHANUTE, Mo. - Anna Elizabeth Youngberg, 93, died Monday, August, 20, 2001 at Heritage Health Care Center. She was born July 29, 1908 at Otterville, Mo., the daughter of George Charles and Pearl Lena (Brown) Dunn. When one-year-old she moved with her parents to Fortuna, Mo. She later lived in Muscotah, Kan., Independence, Kan., and Dewey, Okla. She moved to Chanute with her parents in 1920. She attended St. Patrick's School, Royster Jr. High and graduated from Chanute High School in 1927. While attending school, she worked at Hickey Drug and Roscoe Drug Store. After graduation she worked at Rosenthal Mercantile Co. On October 29, 1933, she married Leonard M. Youngberg at Chanute, Kan. He preceded her in death on June 9, 1980. In 1936 they bought the Youngberg Family home at 801 North Grant where she resided until moving to Heritage Care Home in 1998. After her marriage, she worked for 25 years for the Retail Credit Bureau in Chanute. After retirement, she and her husband worked for many years as volunteers at the St. Patrick's Church Bargain Store. She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Chanute.
She is survived by two daughters, Dorothy and husband, Kermit, Nelson of Parsons; Helen and husband, Lynn, Ranabargar of Chanute; one son, Howard Youngberg and wife, Bonnie, of Topeka; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Ruel Youngberg and wife, Mabel, Woodrow Youngberg and wife, Margaret, Edgar Youngberg and wife, Mary, all of Chanute, Dale Youngberg and wife, Mary, of Independence, Kan., Karl Heinz of Overbrook, Kan., and Pauline Dunn and Juanita Dunn of Grove.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one sister, Irene, and two brothers, Wayne and Charles Dunn.
Mass of Christian burial will be 10 a.m., Thursday, August 23, at St. Patrick's Catholic Church will Father Thomas F. Scaletty presiding. Interment will be in Saint Patrick's Catholic Church Cemetery, Chanute. The rosary will be recited at 8 p.m., Wednesday, August 22, at the church. The family suggests memorials to St. Patrick's School and may be left in care of the funeral chapel. Gibson-Kock-Friskel is in charge of the arrangements.

SYLVIA P. ZWINGLE
CHICKASHA, Okla. - Graveside services for Sylvia P. Zwingle, age 83, formerly of Chickasha, were held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 23, at the Rose Hill Cemetery. Rev. Charles Herndon of Vinita officiated. Sylvia was born on April 3, 1918, the daughter of Floyd VanSchuyver and Bertha Skipworth VanSchuyver, Chisum, Okla. She died on October 20, 2001 in Vinita, Okla.
Sylvia married Earl Zwingle on September 23, 1933 in Chickasha. She was a member of the Vinita First United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents and three brothers.
Survivors include: husband, Earl Zwingle; daughter, Welena Wadley, Grove; daughter, Scherry Cone, Tuscon, Ariz.; sister, Golda Bogle, Yukon; sister, Martha McReynolds, Yukon; brother, J.C. Van Schuyver of Chickasha; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren. Service was under the direction of the McRay Funeral Home.

LORETTA MAY ADAIR
SPAVINAW, Okla. - Loretta May Adair, age 67, died Thursday, May 2, 2002 at her home. Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, at Community of Christ in Grove.
Loretta M. Adair was born on July 23, 1934 in Joplin, Mo., to Floyd B. and Velma (Parsons) Simpson. She married Clinton Adair in 1972 and he preceded her in death in 1983. Mrs. Adair worked as a waitress until her retirement. She lived in the Grove, Joplin, and Jay areas all her life.
Survivors include: her mother, Velma Simpson, of Grove; two sons, Neal Owens of McAlester, Okla., and Jim Owens of Provo, Utah; three daughters, Deborah Robbins and husband, Tom, of Spavinaw, Velma Ann Howell of Joplin, and Debbie McNair and husband, Darrell, of Spavinaw; one brother, Kenneth Simpson and wife, Elizabeth, of Neosho, Mo.; two sisters, Geneva Williams of Grove, and Darlene Turner and husband, Ron, of Kansas City, Kan.; 19 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father and one brother, Joe Simpson.
Services were entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home in Grove.

THELMA MARIE ADDINGTON
JAY, Okla. - Thelma Marie Addington, age 88, life long resident of Jay, went to be with the Lord on September 27, 2002 in Jay after a long illness. She was born on May 17, 1914 to Robert L. Earp and Nellie D. (Abercrombie) Earp of Jay. She married Houston Addington on May 26, 1935. She was a long time member of the First Baptist Church in Jay.
She is survived by and was dearly loved by her six children, Garland Addington of Tulsa, Okla., Harland Addington of Jay, Tony Addington of Tulsa, Larry Addington of Catoosa, Okla., Leta Martin of Bluejacket, Okla., and Kline Addington of Yukon, Okla.
She is also survived by two brothers, Wesley Earp of Jay and Roy Earp of Chouteau, Okla.; two sisters, Maxine Callis of Jay and Callie (Toots) Clanton of Newberry, Fla.; 13 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Addington; her mother and father, Robert and Nellie Earp; brothers, Bill Earp and Johnny Earp; and sisters, Nola Houck and Bertha Craig.
Funeral services were held on Monday, September 30, at Mt. Hermon Church, east of Jay, with Rev. Larry Kingfisher officiating. Interment followed at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.

ELIZABETH GALLUP ADZIGIAN
GROVE - Elizabeth Gallup Adzigian, age 87, passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Grove Nursing Center on Saturday, April 13, 2002. She was born in Housatonic, Mass., on December 20, 1914. She had recently moved to Grove with her son, David, and his wife, Linda, with whom she had resided for the past three years. Elizabeth has chosen cremation. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star.
Survivors include: her husband of 62 years, John Adzigian of Grove; two sons, David Adzigian and wife, Linda, of Grove, and Donald Adzigian and wife, April, of South Attleboro, Mass.; five grandchildren, Mark Adzigian and wife, Kim, of Woodbridge, Conn., Lynn Adzigian of Owasso, Okla., Scott Adzigian of Redondo Beach, Calif., and Kevin Adzigian and Michael Adzigian of Boston, Mass.; two great-grandchildren, Samantha and Madeline Adzigian of Woodbridge; two sisters-in-law, Helen Adzigian DeDiemar and husband, Jerry, of Ontario, Canada, and Bess Adzigian of Marshall, Ill.; and many nieces and nephews.

DARRELL LEE AGAN
GROVE - Darrell Lee Agan, Grove, age 67, died Tuesday, September 3, 2002 at Grove General Hospital.
Darrell Agan was born on March 9, 1935 in Berryville, Ark. He was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving in Korea. He married Alice Ruth Huggins on February 27, 1959 in Hermosa Beach, Calif. Mr. Agan worked as Lead Airline Mechanic for 38 years at Delta Airlines before retiring in 1994. Before moving to Grove in 1995, he lived in Jonesboro, Ga., and Torrance, Calif. He was a member of DAV, Elks, and a life member of the VFW.
Survivors include: his wife, Alice Agan, Grove; four children, Tawana Reeb, Allensville, Pa., Babette Fasolino, Stacksburg, N.Y., Teena Tomlinson, Cypress, Calif., and Mark Agan, Colorado Springs, Colo. Also surviving are two brothers, Jimmy Agan and Richard Agan, both of Carterville, Mo., and 10 grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 3 p.m., Friday, September 6, at Forest Park Cemetery, Joplin, Mo., with the Grove Veterans Ritual Team officiating and giving Veterans Rites.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.

JOSEPH L. ALBRIGHT, SR.
GROVE - Joseph L. Albright, Sr., age 65, of Grove, passed away at 8:33 a.m. Monday, March 18, 2002 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.
Born September 30, 1936 in Holdenville, Okla., he was the son of the late James Forrest Albright and Etha Mae Campbell Albright and had lived in Grove for the past 15 years. In 1954 he enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served in both the Korean and Vietnam Wars before retiring in 1974. He then worked for Southwestern Bell Telephone Co. from 1974 to 1991.
His wife, Ruby Toney Albright, whom he married in 1954, survives.
Additional survivors include: a son, Joseph Lee Albright, Jr. of Manchester, Conn.; one daughter, Charla Mae Willson of Eureka Springs, Ark.; his mother, Etha Mae Albright of Grove; a sister, Charlotte Fallis of Grove; six grandchildren, and five great-great-grandchildren. A son, James David Albright, preceded him in death.
The body will be cremated under the direction of Parker Mortuary. Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at Floral Haven Cemetery in Tulsa, Okla.

ANN MARIE ALESSE
AFTON, Okla. - Ann Marie Alesse, age 85, died Sunday, March 24, 2002 at Grand Lake Villa.
Ann Marie Alesse was born on March 17, 1917 in Chicago, Ill., to Fillippo and Marie Magnalia. She was married to Benjamin Alesse and he preceded her in death in 1969. Mrs. Alesse had worked as a cook in the Catholic Church in Chicago and as an assembly worker in the Fanny Farmer candy factory. She moved to the Afton area in 1989 from Chicago.
Survivors include: one daughter, Venus Timlin, of Chicago; one daughter-in-law, Janice Alesse of Monkey Island, Okla.; two sisters, Fran Toma and Phyllis Fronczak, both of Ciscero, Ill.; and two grandsons, Steve and Joey Timlin. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one son, Joseph Alesse.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, March 26, at the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

CONSTANCE C. ALLEN
GROVE - Constance C. Allen, 77, of Grove, died July 8, 2002. She grew up in the Tulsa, Okla. area and later moved to Traverse City, Mich., where she graduated high school. She later returned to Tulsa where she attended Tulsa University and was active in the Chi Omega Sorority.
She was attached to Special Services during the Korean War and was employed with the State of Oklahoma counseling troubled youths.
She is survived by a brother, Tom Allen, of St. Augustine, Fla.

MARY EVELYN ALLEN
MIAMI, Okla. - Mary Evelyn Allen, age 47, of rural Miami, died Tuesday, March 19, 2002 at the St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.
Mrs. Allen was born December 12, 1954 in Miami, Okla., to Deward and Ester (Moore) Jay. She has lived in Ottawa County most of her life. She was a homemaker.
Mrs. Allen was a graduate of Commerce High School and of the Baptist faith. She married Fred Allen on June 3, 1972 in Miami.
Survivors include: her husband, Fred, of the home; three sons, Austin and Cody Allen, both of Joplin, Mo., and James Allen of the home; one brother, Garren D. Jay of Neosho, Mo.; one sister, Eunice Mullins of Vinita, Okla.; and three grandsons, Aidan, Dillon, and Tori.
Her parents and a brother, Jimmie Jay, preceded her in death.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, March 22, in the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, Okla. The Rev. Riley Jay will officiate.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce.

ZELMA ALLEN
SALEM, Ark. - Zelma Lorraine Allen of Mammoth, Ark., died Friday, November 1, 2002 at the Fulton County Hospital in Salem. She was 71.
Mrs. Allen was born March 17, 1931 to William Clyde and Sarah Elizabeth Tyler at Sweetwater, Texas. She retired from General Motors in Shreveport, La. She married Densil Allen in May of 1968 at Honolulu, Hawaii. One grandson, Randall Todd Kelly, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her husband, Densil Allen, of Mammoth; one daughter, Janet Perry, of Wyandotte; one sister, Carrie Johnson, of Independence, Mo.; one brother, Weldon Tyler, of Doniphan, Mo.; one granddaughter, Sonya Saylor; and two great grandchildren, Shania Saylor and Sage Saylor.
Services were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, November 4, at the First Baptist Church of Wyandotte. Rev. Rick Thomas officiated. Interment was at the Zena Cemetery under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.
