GROVE - David Robert Barnett, 21, died Thursday, November 28, 2002 at his home. Services were held at 2 p.m., Sunday, December 1, 2002 at Dodge Baptist Church with Sam Carper officiating. Interment followed at Sloan Cemetery. Family greeted friends from 3 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, November 30, 2002 at Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove.
David Barnett was born on April 8, 1981 in Joplin, Mo., to Larry and Kathryn (Lewis) Barnett. He graduated from Grove High School in 2000 and attended Northeastern Oklahoma Vo-Tech where he received his Diesel Mechanic degree. He worked for Grand Alignment as a diesel mechanic. David's hobbies were fishing, motorcycles, arrowhead collecting, walking in the woods, as well as the enjoyment of his family and friends.
Survivors include: his mother and father, Larry and Kathryn Barnett, Grove; one brother Dale Barnett and wife, Angie, Grove; two sisters Lee Ann Barnett and Ladonna Barnett, both of Grove; grandparents Lon and Maxine Lewis and Hazel Barnett all of Grove; uncle and aunts, Lloyd Lewis and wife, Linda, Grove, Shayna Lewis, Grove and Shawna Lewis, Stillwater, Okla.; nieces and nephews, Savannah Barnett, Sand Springs, Okla., Tommy Barnett and Anna Lee Barnett, both of Grove; his fiancée Karmen Upshaw, Grove. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Pete Barnett.
Services were entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, Okla., 918-786-5172.

VIRGIL WILLIAM BARNETT, JR.
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Graveside services for Virgil William Barnett Jr., 43, of Tahlequah, were held Wednesday, June 26, 2002 at 10 a.m. in the Bill Batt Cemetery near Rocky Ford State Park under the direction of Green Country Funeral Home of Tahlequah.
Guy Pickup officiated with the assistance of Maxie Thompson.
Serving as pallbearers were Joseph Mart, Daniel Mart, Joseph Kerr, David Barnett, David Smith and Roger Kissner.
Mr. Barnett was born Sept. 29, 1958 in Elk City, Okla. to Virgil W. Sr. and Shirley Ruth Lynne Moore Barnett and died June 22 at Tahlequah.
He worked as a cement finisher for Barnett Cement Construction Co.
Preceding him in death was a brother, Earl Dean Barnett.
Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth, of the home; his parents, of Rose, Okla.; a son, Joshua Barnett, and a daughter, Chantell Barnett, both of Mokelumne Hill, Calif., sons William Mart of Silverdale, Wash., Joseph Mart and his wife, Angela, of Leach, Okla., Daniel Mart and his wife, Elissa, of Cave Springs, Ark., and a daughter, Frances Kerr, and her husband, Joseph, of Ft. Bragg, N.C.; five brothers, Keith, Frankie, Odie, Kenny and David Barnett; eight sisters, Ina Pickup, Louisa Kirk, Betty Barnett, Gladys Barnett, Rosie Watkins, Mary Madewell, Virgie Barnett and Cathi Werimont; two granddaughters, Mikalah and Angel; three grandsons, Isaiah, Anton and William Chance; as well as a host of other relatives, friends and loved ones,
Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Disabled American Veterans.

M.L. 'BARNEY' BARNHART
OVERLAND PARK, Kan. - M.L. "Barney" Barnhart formerly of Grove died Friday, January 4, 2002 at Overland Park manor in Overland Park. He was 81. Mr. Barnhart was born July 4, 1920 to James Lewis and Vinnie (Brummett) Barnhart at Granite City, Ill. He served in the United States Army during WWII. He married Dora M. (Lombard) Barnhart March 13, 1943, she preceded him in death in 1991. Until recently, Mr. Barnhart was a resident of Grove since 1962. He owned and operated Harts Cove Resort, retiring in 1985. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge for over 50 years
Survivors include: one son, Marion Barnhart, Jr. and wife, Judy, of Overland Park; two grandsons, Kevin L. Barnhart and wife, Cassandra, and James L. Barnhart, all of Overland Park; two nephews, and one niece.
Graveside services were at 10 a.m. Monday, January 7, at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove. Services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

LLOYD BARNWELL
SALINAS, Calif. - Funeral services for Lloyd Barnwell, 93, of Salinas, will be held Thursday, April 25, 2002 at the Garden of Memories Mausoleum Chapel in Salinas under the direction of Healey Mortuary of Salinas. Burial will be in the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
Mr. Barnwell was born Nov. 10, 1908 in Delaware County, Okla., and died unexpectedly at his home in Salinas April 21.
He was a retired farm worker and a member of The Teamsters Union #890 of Salinas. He enjoyed working jigsaw puzzles and in his garden and watching ball games on television. He was a great resource for his daughter's family history project. He worked for many years for Harry Johnson Farms of Chualar and also for the Jenson Brothers and Mann Packing Co.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorthea Barnwell, in 1973, and two brothers, Glen and Trent Barnwell.
He is survived by two daughters, Ruth (Ed) Pantry of Salinas, and Peggy (Bob) Bales of Ontario, Calif.; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Contributions can be made in his honor to the Salinas Meals on Wheels Program, 229 Pajaro St., Suite 303, Salinas, CA 93901, to the American Cancer Society, 1184 Monroe St., Salinas, CA 93906, or to the American Diabetes Association, 1475 S. Bascom, Ave., Campbell, CA 95008.

ROBBIE LEE BARRINGTON
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - Robbie Lee Barrington, 88-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., died August 28, 2002, at Washington Regional Hospital, Fayetteville, Ark. Born June 18, 1914 in Dustin, Okla., she was the daughter of Robert Mallory and Pearl Tomlinson Mallory. She had lived in the community for the past three years after moving from Yazoo City, Miss. She was an Avon Lady, an PN, and a licensed Assembly of God preacher. She was a member of First Assembly of God Church, Siloam Springs. She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Sebastian Barrington, in August, 1977.
Survivors include: three sons, Billy Ray Barrington of Norfolk, Va., Bobby Paul Barrington, Yazoo City, and Cecil Lee Barrington of Little Torch Key, Florida; one daughter, Wanda Fay Miller, of Kansas, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; two brothers, Bud Yarnell of Redding, Calif. and Junior Yarnell of Exeter, Calif.; one sister, Shirley Crane, of Big Springs, Texas.
Visitation was held Friday, August 30, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Another visitation will be 6 to 9 p.m. Saturday at Holder-Wells Funeral Home in Moss Point, Miss. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, September 1, at Holder-Wells Chapel in Moss Point, with Brother James Forrest Coleman officiating. Burial will follow at Serene Memorial Gardens in Moss Point. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

PATRICIA M. BARTHOLOW
JAY, Okla. - Patricia Ann Bartholow, age 66, died Thursday, September 12, 2002. The daughter of Charles T. and Marion B. (Straska) Martin, she was born on January 10, 1936 in Kensington, Conn. She married Charles W. Bartholow in El Paso, Texas, on December 9, 1955.
Surviving are: her husband, Charles W. Bartholow, Jr.; a son, Charles T. Bartholow; a daughter, Carla R. Collins; a brother, Thomas Martin; a sister, Bobbie Avilla; and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
No services are planned. Arrangements are by the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

GLORIA D. BASSETT
GROVE - Gloria D. Bassett died at her home early Monday morning, May 20, 2002 after an extended illness. She was 58.
She was born April 11, 1944 to Abe and Agnes Hogan Chandler. She graduated from Afton High School with the "Class of 1963." She married Dick Bassett on March 20, 1964 at the First Methodist Church in Afton. Together they traveled away from Afton for 10 years. They returned to Afton where she had a beauty shop for several years. For the last few years she has worked as a beautician at Guys-N-Dolls Beauty Shop in Grove. She moved to Grove in 1998. She was a member of the Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Afton, and the Oklahoma Rural Carriers Auxiliary.
Survivors include: her husband, Dick, of the home; two sons and their wives, Linc and Nicky Bassett of Grove, and Richard and Gina Bassett, Jr., of Miami, Okla.; two brothers, Gary Chandler of Miami, and Jerry Chandler of Afton; five sisters, Geneva Miller and Nora Greenfeather, both of Afton, Jaunita Foster, Carolyn Mercer, and Rhonda Hilton, all of Miami; four grandchildren, Taleisa Benally, and Kali, Kaydee, and Karah Bassett; special nephew, Rick Foren, and special niece, Debbie Sterling.
The funeral service will be Wednesday, May 22, at Trinity Southern Baptist Church in Afton with Rev. Tony Randol officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton. Pallbearers will be Jerry Wayne Chandler, Chris Mercer, Daniel Palmer, Andy Lee Hilton, Terry Miller, and Mike Martin.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, May 21, at Trinity Southern Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family has requested donations be made to the Mt. Hope Perpetual Fund, or the American Cancer Society, in care of the funeral home.
Arrangements provided by Adcock Funeral Home in Afton.

LUELLA VIRGINIA BECK
JAY, Okla. - Luella Virginia Beck, of Jay, died Saturday, March 16, 2002, at the Monroe Nursing Home in Jay. She was 84.
Virginia was born March 18, 1917 to Olonzo and Callie (George) King in Russellville, Okla. She was a homemaker, and enjoyed sewing, reading and tending to her flowers. She has lived in the area since 1967, moving from California. Virginia married Orville Beck October 6, 1935 in Canadian, Okla. He preceded her in death March 7, 2001.
Survivors include: one daughter, Jannette Stanfield and husband, S.A., of Disney, Okla.; one son, Hayes Beck and wife, Barbara, of Eucha, Okla.; one brother, Dale King, of Tulsa; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m., Wednesday, March 20 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay. Rev. Lonnie Sanders to officiate. Interment will be 3 p.m. Wednesday, at the Masonic Cemetery in Canadian. Family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m., Wednesday at the funeral home.

MARVIN EUGENE BEEHLER
FAIRLAND, Okla. - Marvin Eugene Beehler, a resident of Fairland, died Saturday morning, November 9, 2002 at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center at Miami, Okla., at the age of 70 years.
He was born November 18, 1931 in Centralia, Okla., to Earl Leroy and Tinnie Mae (Stanley) Beehler. He was a resident of Fairland since 1967, moving from Bluejacket, Okla. He was a tomato farmer and had worked at B.F. Goodrich for over 20 years making truck tires. He was a member of the Long Assembly of God Church. He married Violet Louise Booth at Midwest City, Okla., June 17, 1967, she survives. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Marie Maberry; two brothers, A.R. Beehler and Menzo Beehler, and a sister, Lillie Fern Beehler.
Survivors include: his spouse, Louise, of the home; two sons, Gary Beehler and wife, Donna, Fairland, and Dwayne Beehler, Miami; a stepson, Frankie Ash and wife, Carolyn, Cottondale, Ala.; daughter, Treva Arlene and husband, Ray Maberry, Grove; three sisters, Florene and Cleo Pattison, Nowata, Okla., Ruby and Ed Hollingsworth, Bluejacket, and Geraldine and Wayne Taylor, Bluejacket; 14 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Services will be held Tuesday, November 12, at 2 p.m. at Paul Thomas Funeral Home, Miami, officiated by Rev Mike Stevens and assisted by Floyd Renfro. Interment will be at Fairland Cemetery, Fairland.
Pallbearers will be Ellis Ray Bryant, Beebe Mitchell, Buddy Bland, Robert Friend, David Wilmoth, and Jim Willis.
The family will receive friends Monday evening at the funeral home from 6 to 7 p.m.
Arrangements are under the direction of Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.

ANNA IRENE BENDLER
WYANDOTTE, Okla. - Anna Irene Bendler, age 86, of Wyandotte, died Monday, February 11, 2002 at the Oakdale Manor Nursing Home in Sand Springs, Okla., after an illness.
Mrs. Bendler was born May 8, 1915 in Eureka Springs, Ark. She moved to Wyandotte in 1979 from Fairland, Okla. She had also lived in Sand Springs. She married Fred Bendler in Eureka Springs, he preceded her in death on November 17, 1973.
Mrs. Bendler was a homemaker and a member of the First Christian Church of Sand Springs.
Survivors include: a son, Eugene Bendler of Wyandotte; a daughter, Shirley Vesper of Wyandotte; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, February 13, at the Woodland Cemetery in Sand Springs. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.

BELMAN C. BENNETT
VINITA, Okla. - Belman C. Bennett died at the V.A. Hospital in Muskogee late Thursday evening after a lengthy illness. He was 69. He was born August 28, 1932 at White Oak, Okla., to John and Sarah Bennett. He retired from the U.S. Army. He had lived in Vinita since 1973, coming from New Jersey. He was a long distance driver for Frank and Sons. He married Hermine Taferner at Salzburg, Austria, on September 3, 1955.
Survivors include: his wife, Hermine, of the home; two sons, Carlos Bennett of Vinita, and Gregory J. Bennett and wife, Sheila, of Long Island, N.Y.; two brothers, Chase Bennett of Oklahoma City, Okla., and Ross Bennett of Skiatook, Okla.; three grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, and several in-laws living in Austria.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. on Monday, February 4, at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Fairland with Roland Adcock officiating. Pallbearers were Bob Bennett, Sonnie Bennett, Earl Patten, George Hensen, Leon Schamblin, and Brian Scott. Burial was held at 2 p.m. Monday at Ft. Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Adcock Funeral Home of Fairland.
