MARCELLA ELAINE BUZZARD FOX
JAY, Okla. - Marcella Elaine Buzzard Fox, 46, passed away at her home on November 6, 2002. She was born December 11, 1955 to Willis Fox and Maxine Buzzard Fox, who preceded her in death. She was a homemaker most of her life. She loved to cook and sew. She also liked to visit with family and friends. She was a member of Hillside Baptist Church.
Survivors include: two daughters, Tara O'Field, and Kerrie Fox, of Jay, Okla.; one son, Mark Beamer, also of Jay; one grandson, Brett O'Field of Jay; six sisters, Wilma Kirby, Marcia Davis, Wanda Davis, Linda Hawk, and Darlene Fox, all of Jay, and Beverly Fox of Colcord, Okla.; two brothers, Billy Fox of Centerton, Ark., and Richard Fox of Sedalia, Mo.; two aunts, Bertha Teague and Mary Rogers, both of Jay, and a close friend, Bentley Whitcanack of Jay.
Services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday, November 12, at Sycamore Baptist Church with Rev. Steven "Chuck" Glass officiating. Burial will follow at the Round Springs Cemetery. The services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home.

TONI RANAE FRANCISCO
TULSA, Okla. - Toni Renae Francisco, a resident of Tulsa, Okla. ,died Saturday, August 17, 2002 at Tulsa, Okla., at the of 33 years. She was born Nov. 4 1968 in Oklahoma City, Okla. She had lived in Tulsa since 1990, moving from Wyandotte. She was preceded in death by her son, Seth Andrew Francisco, in 1995. She was a member of the Peoria Baptist Church and graduated from Tulsa Central High School.
She is survived by: her parents, Josepha and Phyliss Francisco, of Wyandotte, Okla.; two brothers, Jodi Don Francisco and Matthew Joe Franscisco, both of Wyandotte, Okla.; daughter, Michah Leigh Ann Harges, Claremore, Okla.; son, Ethan Dewyane Harges, Claremore, Okla.; paternal grandparents, Warren and Evelyn Francisco, Grove; maternal grandparents, Dee and Sylia Walker, Miami, Okla.; and several cousins.
Services will be held Friday, August 23, at 10 a.m. at graveside at Howard Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Don Kirchoff. Interment will be at Howard Cemetery at N.E. of Grove.

WINIFRED ELAINE FRANKLIN
VINITA, Okla. - Winifred Elaine Franklin passed away Thursday, April 11, 2002 in Vinita following an extended illness. She was 72.
Winifred was born August 10, 1929 in Monroe County, Pa., to Delbert and Beatrice (Kressge) Hufford. Winifred was united in marriage to William Franklin, Sr. on May 10, 1952 at Wilkes Barre, Pa. She was a homemaker and moved to Vinita last year to be close to family during her illness.
Survivors include: her husband, William C. Franklin, Sr. of the home in Pamona, Calif.; six daughters, Bonnie Beltman of Sunnyside, Wash., Patricia Allison of Azusa, Calif., Marian Franklin of Pamona, Calif., Kathy Martinez of Upland, Calif., Florence Escobedo of Westminister, Calif., and Sharon Harder of Vinita; three sons, Thomas Franklin of Cathedral City, Calif., William "Bill" Franklin, Jr. of Vinita, and Robert Franklin of Laverne, Calif.; 14 grandchildren; three great grandchildren, and friends Cheryl and Hiawatha of Good Shepherd Hospice.
There will be private family services only. Arrangements are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home.

MARCELLA "PEGGY" FRANKS
GROVE - Marcella "Peggy" Franks died Saturday, December 7, 2002. She graduated from the St. Mary's High School in 1944. Peggy was a member of the V.F.W. Post 8380 Auxiliary in Grove, and an active member of the Elks Lodge. A son, Robert Timothy Brown, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two daughters, Pamela Jacobsmeyer in Alexandria, Va., and Nancy Fox, in Kinsley, Kan.; three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Following her wishes she will be cremated and her ashes scattered at sea. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Good Shepherd Hospice, 2106 S. Main, Grove, OK 74344. The arrangements are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

KATHY LYNN FREEMAN
KANSAS, Okla. - Kathy Freeman, 41, died June 19, 2002, in Tulsa, Okla. Born September 28, 1960, in Harbor City, Calif. She was the daughter of Floyd Jack Freeman and Arclee Susie Duncan Freeman. Kathy was a life-long resident of Northeastern, Okla. She was a former bakery and deli worker at IGA Supercenter in Siloam Springs, a Kansas High School graduate and attended Lowery Freewill Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her mother, Susie Freeman; brother, Jack Freeman and half brother, Larry Graham.
Survivors include: her son, Rusty Martin, Mosley, Okla.; father and step-mother, Floyd and Ellen Freeman, Colcord, Okla.; 2 step-daughters; 2 step-sisters, Sharon Martina and husband, Roy, Colcord; Kathy Larmon and husband, Dennis, North Carolina.
Visitation will be Friday, June 21, from 6 to 7 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, June 22, at Wasson memorial Chapel with Rev. Dough Carey officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Cemetery, Leach, Okla.

RALPH RAYMOND FREEZE
GROVE - Ralph Raymond Freeze died Thursday May 23, 2002 at his home after a long illness. He was 83.
Ralph was born June 25, 1918 to Ramon Albert and Mamie Leona (Haley) Freeze in Adamson, Okla. He served in the United States Navy during WWII and worked as a truck driver. He attended the First United Methodist Church in Grove. His wife, June Freeze, preceded him in death in 1982.
Survivors include: one son, David Freeze and wife, Beck, of Grove; one daughter, Trisha Lyon and husband, John, of Wichita, Kan.; two brothers, Don Freeze of Miami, Okla., and Jack Freeze of Rock Springs, Wy.; three grandchildren, Justin Bucket, Ralph Freeze and Brian Layon; one great grandson, Bradley Austin Bucket.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

JOSHUA CARL FUNK
DAVENPORT - Funeral services for Joshua "Josh" Carl Funk, 19, of Davenport will be held Wednesday, April 24, 2002 at the Davenport High School Auditorium with Rev. Michael J. Mitchell officiating. Burial will be in the Davenport Cemetery under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service of Stroud.
Casket bearers will be Steve Beck, Josh McGee, Mark Flatlie, Clenton Buchanan, Derek Clark and Adam Sukovaty.
Josh was born Sept. 1, 1982 to Kevin and Robin Lou (Loehr) Funk and died Sunday, April 21.
He was a 2001 graduate of Davenport High School and was a member of the 2001 All-State Basketball team. He was a 1996-97 recipient of the "Student of Today" recognition, awarded by the Davenport Lodge #260 of the Ancient and Free and Accepted Masons for "Studious Application and Outstanding Attainment." He was employed by HGP Glass of Shawnee and was a member of the First Baptist Church in Davenport.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Howard Funk.
Survivors include: his parents of Davenport; a brother, Devin Funk of Davenport; a sister, Ashley Funk of Davenport; his paternal grandmother, Glenda Funk, of Stroud; his maternal grandparents, George and Lillie Loehr of Fairland; his paternal great-grandparents, Al and Donna Hansen of Stroud; aunts and uncles, Laura and Kyle Funk of Stroud, Kimberly and Randy Wright of Stroud, Karen and Jerry Culley of Boise, Idaho, Lisa and Lonnie Greenfeather of Fairland, and Kandy and Jeff Loehr of Branson, Mo.; as well as several great aunts, uncles and other relatives.

WILMA H. GAHM
GROVE, Okla. - Wilma H. Gahm, 90, died Thursday, August 29, 2002, at Grove Nursing Center. Services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, August 31st, at Ellis Family Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Leo Schroeder officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Stone Cemetery, east of Joplin, Mo.
Wilma Hazel Gahm was born on January 31, 1912 in Sarcoxie, Mo., to George and Alice (Russell) Howell. She attended Fidelity School in Mo. She married George Ballard McHaffie in September, 1929. He preceded her in death on July 8, 1958. She married Marvin Gahm on September 14, 1960 in Carthage, Mo. He preceded her in death on May 23, 1992. Mrs. Gahm worked for 19 years in the meat department of Safeway Grocery Store, Carthage, Mo. She also worked as a nurse's aid at Fair Acres Nursing Home in Carthage. She moved to Grove from Carthage in 1972. She was a member of Turkey Ford Assembly.
Survivors include: one son, Robert McHaffie, Grove; one daughter, Geraldine Linthicum, Harrisonville, Mo.; nine grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and six great great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband's parents; three sons, J.B. McHaffie in 1955, Richard Herman McHaffie in 1975, Larry McHaffie; a stillborn daughter; two brothers and four sisters.

.FRANK L. "BUD" GAINES, JR.
NARCISSA, Okla. - Frank L. "Bud" Gaines, Jr., of Narcissa, died at 1:15 a.m., Wednesday, December 11, 2002, at his home after an illness. He was 86.
Gaines was born February 28, 1916, in Narcissa to Frank L. and Rose (Elmer) Gaines. He graduated from Miami High School in 1934. During World War II, he proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy. Never one to sit still, he was a farmer and rancher and the co-owner of F.L. Gaines and Son Construction Company. He was a member of the Narcissa Baptist Church and was a life-long resident of the community.
On April 21, 1941, he married Reba I. Edmondson in Bristow, Okla. She preceded him in death on August 13, 2001.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert Gaines and Elmer Gaines, and one sister, Virginia Gaines.
He is survived by one son and his wife, Gary L. and Debbie Gaines of Afton, Okla.; five daughters and their husbands, Rosalee and Paul Williams of Narcissa, Mary Gaines of Narcissa, Barbara and Steve Johnson of Owasso, Okla., Sandra and Johnny Etzel of Narcissa, and Betty and Doug Malone of Narcissa.
The family will receive friends at the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami, Okla., on Friday, December 13, 2002, from 7 to 8 p.m. The funeral service is at 1 p.m., Saturday, December 14, 2002, at Narcissa Baptist Church with the Rev. Steve Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery, Afton.

ROY FRANKLIN GANDY
JAY, Okla. - Roy Franklin Gandy, age 97, passed away January 31, 2002 at Grove General Hospital. Roy was born November 25, 1904 at Pryor, Okla., to Henry Gandy and Matty Condit Gandy. Roy, at the age of 24, married Elsie Watts April 6, 1929 at Locust Grove, Okla. Roy and Elsie were married for 72 years. They had four boys: Donald, Dewayne, Roy G. and Jack Gandy. Roy farmed and had a dairy near Scraper, Okla., after his retirement and enjoyed raising a garden. Roy was a member of the Southside Church of Christ of Jay. Roy is preceded in death by three sons, Donald, Dewayne and Roy C.
Survivors include: his wife, Elsie, of the home; one son, Jack Gandy, of Rose, Okla.; nine grandchildren and several great great grandchildren.
Services for Roy were Monday, February 4, at 2 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Chapel in Jay. Roy was laid to rest at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove.

DELLA MAE GANN
TULSA, Okla. - Della Mae Gann, of Jay, Okla., died Thursday, August 15, 2002 at the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was 77.
Mrs. Gann was born May 23, 1925 to Eugene and Winnie Vivian Duncan in Delaware County. She was a homemaker, taking care of her family, making quilts and sewing. She was a member of the Mt. Hermon Church in Jay. She married Argue James Gann June 2, 1943 in Jay. One brother, Kenneth Duncan, preceded her in death.
Survivors include: her husband, Argue, of Jay; three daughters, Linda Loux of Broken Arrow, Okla., Reginia Carroll of Jay, and Jamie Vanover of Eucha, Okla; one sister, Wynema Pierce, of Sapulpa, Okla; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 20, at the Mt. Hermon Church with Rev. Larry Kingfisher officiating. Interment will follow at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

MILDRED HELENA GANTENBEIN (JOHNSON)
GROVE - Mildred Helena Gantenbein (Johnson) 98, passed away Thursday, April 11, 2002 in Grove after a recent, serious illness.
Mrs. Gantenbein was born to Joseph and Mary Johnson on November 13, 1903 in Klemme, Iowa. She married Edwin John Gantenbein July 27, 1970. Mildred was a Pentecostal Christian Missionary.
Her goal and love in life was to see everyone accept Christ. She and her husband, Ed, built an orphanage in the 1970's in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. Through the help of church friends, family and their own personal sacrifices, they currently support many Haitian and Jamaican pastors and their churches and helpers on a monthly basis.
For approximately 30 years they introduced native visiting pastors to American churches so the churches might contribute support for the needs of the poorest of people in foreign lands. Mildred attended Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., for three years, at which time she returned home to help her ill mother. She became a professional violinist in classical and Christian Music as well as a music instructor. She performed live at Aimee Semple McPhersons evangelistic meetings. She also was a pianist and played many other instruments. She and her former husband, Oliver Dewight Potter, deceased, owned Potter Music Center, in Mason City, Iowa, until 1875. They moved to Hot Springs, Ark., until 1980, Hopkinsville, Ky., until 1985, Joplin, Mo., until 1996, and Grove until the present. From 1996 to 2002, Mildred taught private music lessons in Grove. She and Ed have been active with A-A-Allen, Tent Revivals, Miracle Valley in Arizona (Bible school campus host), underground evangelism and Full Gospel Christian Businessmen Association. Ed and Mildred also broadcast weekly Christian radio Haiti mission programs for many years.
Services will be held Monday, April 15, at 2 p.m. at the Grove Christian Center with Pastor Leon Vernon officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Grove Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove.

LEE AUDREY FERN GARRETT
BEAUMONT, Texas - Lee Audrey Fern Garrett, 82, formerly of Commerce, Okla., died Tuesday, October 22, 2002 at her home in Beaumont after an illness.
Mrs. Garrett was born November 22, 1921 in Mammoth, Ark., to Jodie and Lillie (Malone) Ramsey. She lived in the Commerce and Quapaw area before moving to Beaumont to be near her children.
Mrs. Garrett married Wilbert (Hardrock) Garrett. He preceded her in death in 1970. A granddaughter, Gena Garrett, also preceded her.
Mrs. Garrett was a homemaker. She attended both the Commerce First Baptist Church and the Quapaw First Baptist Church. She was a member of the Miami Chapter Order of the Eastern Star and just received her 50 year pin.
Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Ronnie and Fay Garrett of Pasadena, Texas, and Allan and Rosa Lee Garrett of Zavalla, Texas; one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Richard Calder, of Vidor, Texas; and one sister, Bernice Byrd, of Anderson, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 23 great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, October 25, at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. Rev. Loyd Crawford will officiate. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Commerce.
