W.T. 'TOMMY' SOUTHWORTH
WEST SILOAM SPRINGS - W.T. "Tommy" Southworth, 81-year-old resident of West Siloam Springs, died Saturday, March 2, 2002 at his home. Born February 28, 1921 in Gate, Okla., he was the son of David Southworth and America Ella Southworth and had been an area resident for most of his life. He had worked as a milk carrier for Pet Milk Company and had retired from La-Z-Boy as a cutter. Mr. Southworth was a former West Siloam City Councilman and a former Little League baseball coach. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where he had been active in church administration and had served as a youth group leader for 20 years.
Survivors include: his wife, Marie, of the home; one daughter, Tina Southworth of the home; one grandson, Jonathan Caldwell of the home; three step grandchildren including Cami Wellbrook of the home; one sister, Ruby Dyer of Garden City, Kan.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, March 6, at 2 p.m. at Bethel United Methodist Church with Rev. Joel Betow and Mr. Dan Draper officiating. Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery with funeral services under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home.

HAZEL ANN SPELLINS
DAWSONVILLE, Ga. - Hazel Ann Spellins, age 69, of Dawsonville, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2002 following an apparent heart attack. She was a native of Oklahoma, daughter of the late Hosey Elmer Lambright and Catherine Marie Groden Lambright. She was a school teacher, working in a private school at the time of her death.
Survivors include: three sons, Lonnie Spellins of Blue Mountain, Miss., Bradley Spellins of Lincolnton, Ga., and David Spellins of Copperhill, Tenn.; two daughters, Jean Ann Littlefield of Jasper, Ga., and Brenda Watson of Knoxville, Tenn.; a brother, Jacky Lambright of Glide, Ore.; two sisters, Pauline Spellins of Sedan, Kan., and Lois Earp of Jay, Okla.; 20 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren and many other relatives and friends.
Memorial Services were conducted Saturday, February 16, at 4 p.m. from the Akins Chapel with Rev. Bob Benson officiating. Music was conducted by Shawn Hall and DeAnna Teems. Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill was in charge of the arrangements.

CHRISTOPHER O'NEIL SPICER
MIAMI, Okla. - Christopher O'Neil Spicer, lifetime resident of Miami, died at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center, Tuesday, February 12, 2002 after an illness. He was 74. He was born September 24, 1927 at Miami to Elvis and Mary Ann Cheater Spicer. He was a veteran of the Korean War, having served in the U.S. Army with the combat engineers. He worked as an upholsterer with Reed's Upholstery for many years. He attended the Full Gospel Lighthouse Church.
Survivors include: a daughter, Sue Bear of Commerce, Okla.; three brothers, Tommy Spicer and wife, Claudia, of Miami, Ron Seat and wife, Patsy, of Miami, and Charles Seat of Tahlequah; a sister, Maxine Williams of Miami; two grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
The body has been cremated. A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Friday, February 15, at Full Gospel Lighthouse with Rev. Henry Fields officiating. Arrangements are provided by Adcock Funeral Home in Afton.

GAIGE ALLEN STALLINGS
EUCHA, Okla. - Gaige Allen Stallings, infant son of Angela Necole Stallings and James Allen Trimm, died at birth on Wednesday, March 13, 2002, at Grove General Hospital.
Survivors include: his parents; his grandparents, Phillip Todd Stallings, Max R. Trimm, and wife, Brenda, and Glenda Govier; his great-grandmother, Bernice Andoe, and numerous aunts and uncles. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Carole Stallings.
Graveside services were 2 p.m., Friday, March 15, at Mose Ridge Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Okla.

ELMER EDWARD 'ED' STANLEY
WATTS, Okla. - Elmer Edward "Ed" Stanley, 58-year-old resident of Watts, died August 25, 2002 at his home. Born October 21, 1943, in Watts, he was the son of Elmer Otto Stanley and Bessie Marie Stephens Stanley. He worked as a carpenter and lumber salesman for Southerland and Michaels Building Supply. He was a big Sooner fan and enjoyed fishing and hunting. He was of the Baptist faith. He married Glenna Ward in Stilwell, Okla., September 14, 1964.
He was preceded in death by a grandson, Jessie Dean Stanley.
Survivors include: his wife, Glenna, of the home; three sons, Glen Stanley, Ronald Stanley and Neil Stanley, all of Watts; one daughter, Kara Eason of Watts; three brothers, Ronnie Stanley of Fayetteville, Ark., Jim Stanley of Maybank, Texas, and Rick Stanley of Oolagah, Okla.; three sisters, Margie Shook and Sue Lawmaster, both of Watts, and Judy Brewer of West Siloam Springs, Okla.; 13 grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
Funeral services were held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Rev. Jim Beavers officiating. Burial followed at Bell Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

HENRIETTA MARIE STANLEY
GRAVETTE, Ark. - Henrietta Marie Stanley, age 95, of Gravette, Ark., died Saturday, April 27, 2002 at Gravette Manor in Gravette after an illness.
Mrs. Stanley was born on December 19, 1906 in Galatia, Kan., to the late William E. and Kattie Jane (Alrich) All. She had lived in Gravette for the last six years, coming from Jay, Okla. She and her husband resided for a number of years in the Maysville area. She was a homemaker and a member of the Church of Christ at Gravette. She was known and loved by all as Aunt Etta.
She married Ted A. Stanley June 20, 1926 at Jay. He preceded her in death on June 16, 1986. She was also preceded in death by three brothers and three sisters.
Survivors include: ten nieces and nephews, Max Crawley and Don Crawley, both of Gravette, Muriel Ford of Grove, Hilda Wright of Boise, Idaho, Norma Jean All of Downey, Calif., Bill All of Severna Park, Md., Virginia Hamilton of Houston, Texas, Doris Denny of Lancaster, Texas, Betty Burgess of Ely, Nev., and Bill Smith of Twin Falls, Idaho.
Funeral services for Mrs. Stanley will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, May 1, at the Church of Christ in Gravette. Brother Bill Richardson and Brother Martin Lipes will officiate. Burial will be in the Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Mo.
Pallbearers will be grand nephews, Dennis Crawley, Russell Crawley, Tim Crawley, Mike Ford, Bill Snider, and Richard Puryear.
Visitation will be held to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, April 30, at the Ozark Funeral Home in Southwest City, Mo. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m.
Memorial contributions may be given to the American Diabetes Association in care of the funeral home.

ROBERT STANLEY
WATTS, Okla. - Robert Stanley, age 54, died Wednesday, January 30, 2002 in Watts. He was born August 30, 1947, the son of Clinton Carson Stanley and Della Howell Stanley. Mr. Stanley had lived most of his life in the Siloam Springs, Ark., area. He was a Peacetime U.S. Army veteran.
Survivors include: one son, Jason Stanley of Kansas, Okla.; three daughters, Vicky Jo Morris, Twyla McGowen, and Diane Chamberlain, all of Westville, Okla.; two sisters, Wanda Wiley and Joann Fletcher, both of Watts; nine grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be 2 p.m. on Saturday, February 2, at Bell Cemetery in Watts, with Rev. Jim Beavers officiating. Burial will follow in Bell Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

EVA DORIS STANTON
GROVE - Eva Doris Stanton died Monday, February 4, 2002 in Grove at the age of 89.
Mrs. Stanton was born January 25, 1913 to James Albert and Sarah Alice (Harrison) Tanner in Richland, Mo. She worked at her father's store, James A. Tanner General Store, and also worked at John A. Brown Department Store in Oklahoma City, Okla. Mrs. Stanton was a member of the Kelly Avenue Christian Church in Oklahoma City, a member of the Bible Study Fellowship International and World Organization of China Painters. She loved to work in her iris garden, comb the beach for seashells, design decorative eggs and do needlework.
Eva was preceded in death by brothers and sisters, Eunice Tabor, Harrison Tanner, Lehman Tanner, Pearl Laub, Hazel Davis, Corkie Tanner, and James Tanner. Her husband of 63 years, Louis Stanton, preceded her in death in 1997.
Survivors include: two daughters, Doris Crawford of Grove, and Karen Fite of Oklahoma City, Okla.; one son-in-law, Stanley E. Crawford of Grove; two granddaughters, Dr. Sharon DeChiara and husband, Dr. Tom DeChiara of Paramus, N.J., and Lisa Gholston and husband, Cris, of Dallas, Texas; two grandsons, Dr. Stan Crawford and wife, Dr. Audrey Crawford, and Greg Crawford of Tulsa, Okla.; great grandchildren include Stan, Andrew, Ellise, Gregory, and Jeffrey Crawford, Luke and Madeline Gholston; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday, February 8, at the Delaware Baptist Church south of Grove. Rev. Gary Bishop to officiate. Interment will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Oklahoma City. Visitation will be at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Donations may be made to the Bible Study Fellowship International at 19001 Huebner Road, San Antonio, TX 78258-4019.
The services are under of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

JOE E. STARK
GROVE - Joe E. Stark, 79, died Friday, October 11, 2002 at Freeman Health System, Joplin, Mo. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, October 16, at Olympus Cemetery, Grove, with Rev. Donald Black officiating. Masonic rites will be by the Grove Masonic Lodge #187.
Joe Edward Stark was born on August 28, 1923 in Neodesha, Kan., to Jess E. and Edna (Fulmer) Stark. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the United States Air Force. Mr. Stark received a diploma in Weather Forecasting on September 24, 1948 from Spartan School of Aeronautics. He graduate from Oklahoma State University in 1958 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. He married Lucy Steele on July 14, 1950. She preceded him in death on May 28, 2001. Mr. Stark worked as a Chemical Engineer and was owner of a sporting goods store in Spavinaw before moving to Grove in 1985. He was a member of the Grove Masonic Lodge #187, Carr Baptist Church, and the Scottish Rite, Tulsa.
Survivors include: two nieces, Brenda Platt and Edna Henderson, both of Garnett, Kan.; one nephew, Mike Stark, Dawson Creek, Canada; sister-in-law, Addie Stark, Garnett, Kan.; stepson, Kenneth Steele, Las Vegas, Nev.; and close friends, Bobby and Lola Cook, Carl Junction, Mo. He was preceded in death by three brothers, Donald, Leslie and Bernard Stark, two sisters, Jessie Fry and Wilma Stark, and one stepdaughter, Betty Russell.
Services are entrusted to the Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, 918-786-5172.

JOHN LLOYD STARR, SR.
TWIN OAKS, Okla. - John Lloyd Starr, Sr., 88-year-old resident of Twin Oaks, Okla., died Monday, April 29, 2002 at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital in Siloam Springs, Ark. Born September 29, 1913 in Jasper, Ark., he was the son of Sidney Isaac Starr and Clara Rinda Henderson Starr. He was a dairy farmer and a Veteran of World War II. He had been in the community for the past 16 years and was a member of the Odd Fellows Lodge and Lowery Freewill Baptist church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marjorie Irena Barnell Starr, in 1985.
Survivors include: two sons, Paul Franklin Starr of Twin Oaks, and John Lloyd Starr, Jr. of Claremore, Okla.; three daughters, Susan Ann Starr Cartwright of Skiatook, Okla., Rinda Sue Starr Alsip of Chandler, Okla., and Elizabeth Lynn Starr Johnson of Twin Oaks; 11 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday, May 3, at Wasson Memorial Chapel. Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 4, at Lowery Freewill Baptist Church with Rev. Douglas Carey officiating. Burial will follow at Ethel Reese Cemetery in Barnsdall, Okla., at 3 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Lowery Freewill Baptist Church.
Services are under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs.

KEVIN LEE STARR
VINITA, Okla. - Kevin Lee Starr, age 25, passed away Saturday, January 26, 2002 in Nowata, Okla.
Mr. Starr was born September 4, 1976 in Tulsa to George E. and Linda L. (Blackfox) Starr. Kevin worked as a cook for Big Bill's in Vinita. His hobbies included lake recreations and making model boats.
Survivors include: his mother, Linda Starr of Vinita; two daughters, Cherokee Starr of Vinita and Sky Woolman of Tulsa, Okla.; two brothers, Eric Blackfox and Dewayne Starr, both of Vinita; two sisters, Georgetta Starr and Noveda McGlohn, both of Vinita; fiancé, Elaine Palomar of Vinita; and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family will receive friends and relatives for a wake service Tuesday, January 29, at 7 p.m. at the home, 408 South 1st in Vinita.
Funeral services will be held at Wednesday, January 30, at 2 p.m. at the Ribbon Indian Church in Spavinaw. Burial will follow on the family plot at Ribbon Cemetery.
Funeral arrangements under the direction of the Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.

MARY STICK
SPAVINAW, Okla. - Mary Stick of Spavinaw, Okla. died Sunday, June 30, 2002 at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Jay, Okla. She was 90. Mary was born April 16, 1912 to Henry and Maria (Drywater) Miller in Cherokee County, Okla. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ribbon Baptist Church in Spavinaw. She married William 'Bill' Stick on June 28, 1942. He preceded her in death in 1990. She later married Levi Turtle in 1992, he preceded her in death in 1998. She was also preceded in death by one daughter, Anna Marie Tagg.
She is survived by one daughter, Bessie Summerfield of Eucha; two sons, Adam Stick of Jay and Mike Stick of Vinita, Okla.; one step-son, Homer Turtle of Oaks, Okla.; one sister-in-law, Anna Mae Wright; twenty-four grandchildren; fifty-five great-grandchildren; and nineteen great-great grandchildren.
Services were at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 3, at the First Baptist Church in Jay, Okla.; Rev. Randall Cummings officiating. Interment followed at the Hillside Cemetery. Family received friends from 6-8:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Worley -Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.
