ERICK T. (TROY) THULIN
MIAMI, Okla. - Erick T. (Troy) Thulin, 85, of Miami, died Monday, November 11, 2002 at Leigh Manor, Picher, Okla., after a long illness.
Mr. Thulin was born October 20, 1917 at Turkey Ford, Okla., to William Erick and Amy (Rhodes) Downum Thulin. He moved to Miami as a young boy and attended school in Miami.
Mr. Thulin married Eunice Jean Barnes on May 21, 1943 at the home of Harry Curtis in Miami. She survives of the home. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Manuel and Roy Thulin, two sisters, Belma Pool Doty and Evelyn Middleton, and one great-grandson, James Jefferson Davis, III.
Mr. Thulin worked for Dixon Transfer and Kreeger Warehouse and Storage. In 1949 he worked for Britt Mining, then became a long distance truck driver for REO Sales, Riss, Miami Products, US Metal Container and Blitz, retiring in 1984.
Troy and his wife, Jean, became Christians on December 7, 1946 at what was then called Third Avenue Baptist Church, when the church was six-months-old. It is now known as Northwest Baptist Church. They have remained members since.
Survivors include: his wife, Eunice Jean Thulin, of the home; two daughters, Ann Tucker and husband, Ben, of Texas, and Sondra Deanna Fairres and husband, Roger, of Miami; two sons, Troy Lee Thulin and wife, Cheryl, of Miami, and Erick Eugene (Rick) Thulin and wife, Suzy, of Yukon, Okla.; three sisters, Earlene Bussey and Bonnie Ice, both of Miami, and Audrey Cook of Ottawa, Okla.; two brothers, Kenneth Thulin and Robert Thulin, both of Miami; eight grandchildren, Robert Wyer and wife, Dr. Laura Wyer of Milwaukee, Wis., Melissa Davis and husband, Jeff, of Tulsa, Okla., Theresa Kissee and husband, Craig, and Michale Lassiter and husband, Gene, all of Miami, Shelly Gibbs and husband, Allen, of Springdale, Ark., Kristi Kaye Thulin of Yukon, Okla., Wayne Tucker and Nikki Tucker, both of Albion, Ind., and 18 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, at the Northwest Baptist Church in Miami. Rev. Clyde Stilley will officiate. Burial will be in the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.
Pallbearers will be Dean Bradley, Jim Wilson, Cy Elmburg, Robert Reavis, Jeff Davis, and Kirk Kramer.

FRANCES LOUISE TIBBETTS
TULSA, Okla. - Funeral services for Frances Louise Tibbetts, 63, of Tulsa, were held Saturday, October 12, at 2 p.m. in the Little Rock Indian Baptist Church. Burial followed in the Little Rock Cemetery. The Rev. John Osage officiated. Services were under the direction of Kay Funeral Home of Locust Grove.
Frances was born July 22, 1939 in Claremore, Okla., and passed away October 9, in Tulsa. She was the daughter of Joe L. and Annie (Leach) Blossom. She was a very loving person that will be greatly missed by all that knew her.
Survivors include: her husband, Mike Tibbetts, of the home; two daughters, Teresa Jones and Pamela Tibbetts, both of Tulsa; three brothers, Willie Blossom of Locust Grove, Alan Wayne Blossom of Miami, and Ricky Blossom of Westville; six sisters, Barbara McCall of Mounds, Arletta Vann of Tulsa, Phyllis Bahe of Collinsville, Norma Weeks of Tulsa, Kaye Lynn Lane of Salina, and Helen Willis of Florida; several other relatives and friends are also left to mourn her passing.
Two brothers, one sister and her parents preceded her in death.

ALFRED S. (AL) TINSLEY
MIAMI, Okla. - Alfred S. (Al) Tinsley, 72, of Miami, died Wednesday, October 23, 2002 in Chicago, Ill., after a battle with lung cancer.
Mr. Tinsley was born October 29, 1929 in Seminole, Okla., to William S. and Minnie Lee (Scoles) Tinsley. He moved to Miami in 1992 from Phoenix, Ariz. He served with the Army and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict.
Mr. Tinsley married Lorraine Collins on September 27, 1958 at Springdale, Ark. She preceded him in death November 1, 2000. He was also preceded by three brothers, Carl, Bob, and Bill, and a sister, Winifred Ferrell.
Mr. Tinsley retired in 1991 from the Juvenile Transportation Department in Phoenix after 10 years. He also was the municipal Court Clerk in Tulsa from 1965 to 1972. Mr. Tinsley took part in getting Little League Baseball started in Tulsa and helped with getting a Library built there as well. He was very active in any community activity that involved youth and family relations. While in Miami, he worked as a security guard for local banks, and the area Indian gaming establishments, as well as J&R Trucking in Joplin. He was a Mason, a Shriner, and a member of the Christview Christian Church in Tulsa.
Survivors include: two sons, Steve Tinsley of Bryan, Texas, and Nicholas Tinsley of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; a daughter, Joyce Michelle Vale of Rolling Meadows, Ill.; two brothers, Forrest Tinsley of Sparks, Nev., and James Tinsley of North Carolina; and a grandson, Richard Vale of Rolling Meadows, Ill.
Memorial services will be held at 4 p.m. Sunday, November 10, in the First Christian Church in Miami. John Powers from the Christview Christian Church, Tulsa, will officiate. Military rites will be conducted by members of the Northeast Oklahoma Funeral Detail. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.
Memorials may be made to the Miami High School Activity Fund in care of Miami High School, Miami, OK 74354.

ELMER R. TITUS
GROVE - Elmer R. Titus, age 71, died Thursday, March 7, 2002 at the Grove Nursing Center.
Elmer Richard Titus was born July 5, 1930 in Hanover, Mich., to Franklin and Meta (Evans) Titus. He was a veteran of the United States Navy. Mr. Titus married Patricia Ann Hugee on April 18, 1955. He worked as a truck driver for Yellow Truck Lines for 25 years. His hobbies included fishing and gardening.
Survivors include: his wife, Patricia, of Grove; one son, Ed Titus of Parma, Mich.; three daughters, Kathy Erickson, Karen Barrett, and Susan Lowe, all of Grove; three sisters; 12 grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.
Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, March 11, at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel. The Grove Veterans Ritual Team officiated.
Services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove

HOWARD EDWARD TODD
MIAMI, Okla. - Howard Edward Todd, a resident of Miami, died Monday, April 1, 2002 at 3:40 a.m. at the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami at age 78.
He was born August 22, 1923 in Picher, Okla., to Orville Bradford Todd and Sarah Jane (Morgan) Todd. He married Lila Fen Galbraith at Columbus, Kan., on September 2, 1944. He was a retired State Department of Transportation employee, working from 1957 to 1983. He was in the U.S. Army and a veteran of World War II. He lived in Miami for 15 years, moving from Commerce, Okla.
Survivors include: his wife, Lela, of the home: one son, Howard Lee Todd of Miami; one daughter, Paula G. Tomas Switzer of Dennison, Texas; one sister, Pauline Hogan of Grove; five grandchildren, Howard Lee Hogan, Darrin Edward Todd, Michael Thomas Todd, Rickey Paul Thomas, and Alicia Hogan; and six great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, April 3, at 2 p.m. at GAR Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Jerry Van Moss. Military rites will be conducted by the Northeastern Oklahoma Funeral Detail. Interment will be at GAR Cemetery at Miami.
The family will receive friends Tuesday, April 2, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami. Arrangements are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home of Miami.

CHRISTOPHER 'CHRIS' TORRALBA
LEACH, Okla. - Chris Torralba, 47-year-old resident of Leach, Okla., died Friday, August 29, 2002 at his home in Leach. Born October 28, 1954, in Lawton, Okla., he was the son of Paul A. Torralba and Mary Frances Shirley Torralba. Chris has lived most of his life in the Oaks and Leach, Okla., area. He graduated form Oaks Mission High School, and was a sheet rocker. Chris was affiliated with the New Jordan Baptist Church in Salina, Okla.
Survivors include: his mother, Frances Torralba, of Apache, Okla.; three sons, Michael Panther of Okemah, Okla., and Kyle and Colton Torralba of Missouri; one daughter, "Dinky" Taylor of Tulsa, Okla.; four brothers, Richard Torralba of Chichasha, Okla., Eddie Torralba of Salsbury, N.C., Franklin Eugene Torralba of Westville, Okla. and Kenneth Torralba of Fayetteville, Ark.; seven sisters, Mary Thorpe of Fletcher, Okla., Delores Bates of Iowa, Paulette Queen of Salsbury, N.C., Connie Farrell of Salsbury, Judy Torralba of Paris, Ill., Lavonna Kinecole of Apache, and Shirley Gregory of Stigler, Okla., and a number of nieces and nephews
Visitation will be Tuesday, September 3, 7 to 8 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, September 4, at Salina First Baptist Church, Salina, Okla., with Rev. Bridge Chuckluck officiating. Burial will follow in Euwasha Cemetery, Kenwood, Okla. Arrangements are under direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

NORMAN ANDREW TOSH
JAY, Okla. - Norman Andrew Tosh died Wednesday, March 27, 2002 at Grove Hospital. He was born March 26, 1920 at Tiff City, Mo., to Tac Tosh and Elizabeth Frost. Norman worked with his parents before enlisting in the CCC Camp at the age of 17, where he helped build roads in Colorado and Oklahoma. Norman later moved to California and drove a truck until he started his own trucking company. Norman moved back to Grove and worked as a body shop mechanic. Norman also worked at Siloam Springs, Ark., painting steam cleaners and later met and married his wife, Cleta, in 1990 and lived in the Jay area.
Services were at 10 a.m. Monday, April 1, at the Turner Funeral Chapel in Jay. Norman was laid to rest at Eucha Cemetery in Eucha, Okla.
Services were under the direction of the Turner Funeral Chapel in Jay.

CAROLYN SUE TREAT
GROVE - Carolyn Sue Treat, age 52, died Saturday, April 27, 2002 after a long battle with cancer.
Born May 9, 1949 in Tulsa, Okla., to Helen Yonger McAnally and Clyde Younger, both deceased, she lived in Oklahoma City, Okla., where she met and married her husband, Delmer Treat, in 1970. Sue and Delmer moved to Grove in 1988 where they owned Carolyn's Daycare. Delmer preceded her in death in 1996. She enjoyed sewing, fishing, O.U. sports events, and providing for her family in many ways.
Survivors include: two sons, John Treat and Steven Treat, both of Grove; two brothers, Darrell Younger of Glenpool, Okla., and Tommy Younger of Garland, Texas; three sisters, Debbie McKinzy and Shirley Green, both of Oklahoma City, and Janice Tolman of McAlester, Okla. She is also a beloved aunt of numerous nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 30, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Pastor Mark Green will officiate. Interment will be at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 29, at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. The services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

GEORGIA FAYE TREVIZO
JAY, Okla. - Georgia Faye Trevizo of Jay passed away Monday, March 18, 2002 at the St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. She was 62.
Mrs. Trevizo was born April 15, 1939 to Earl Richard and Annie Elizabeth (Dollarhide) Lee in Taneyville, Mo. She was a homemaker. She married Abel Trevizo in 1985.
Survivors include: her husband, Able Trevizo, of Jay; her mother, Annie Lee of Jay; two brothers, Robert Lee of Oregon, and Everett Lee of Washington; two sisters, Goldie Rodman of Jay, and Ila White of Washington; six children, Delmer Boxberger and wife, Jackie, of Montana, Ria Hulsey and husband, Dink, of Grove, Jeff Taylor and wife, Sherri, of Jay, Tamara Hulsey and husband, Donald, of Grove, Maline Betts of Wyandotte, Okla., and Shane Boxberger and wife, Jamie, of Zena, Okla.; 14 grandchildren, and four great-great grandchildren, along with other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Earl Richard Lee, and one sister, Lavina Maria Carpenter.
Services were at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 21, at the First Assemble of God in Grove. Pastor David Talle' officiated. Interment was at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove.

LUCILLE TRIPLETT
JAY, Okla. - Lucille Triplett, age 89, of Jay, died Tuesday, October 22, 2002 in the Monroe Manor in Jay. She was born on September 11, 1913 in Glencoe, Okla. Lucille married O.M. Triplett on June 15, 1932. He preceded her in death in 1987. They moved to the Jay area in 1942 from Stillwater. She was a member of the Southside Church of Christ.
Survivors include: three daughters, Pat Shackleford, Jay, Doris Wilson, Oklahoma City, Okla., and Donna Graham in Muenster, Texas; two half brothers; one half sister; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10 a.m. on Friday, October 25, in the Southside Church of Christ. Interment will be in the Duffield Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.

SARAH BRIDGETTE TRUMBULL
GROVE - Sarah Bridgette Trumbull, two years of age, went to be with the Lord Wednesday, February 13, 2002, at Grove General Hospital.
Sarah was born April 13, 1999 in Grove to Edward Jude Trumbull Jr., and Kelly Dawn (Stewart) Trumbull. She is also survived by two brothers, Bradon Lee Richardson, and Bryan James Richardson; and one sister, Brooke Nicole Richardson; paternal grandparents, Edward and Catherine Sue Trumbull of Tulsa, Okla.; maternal grandparents, Kenneth and Frankie Stewart of Grove; and many loving aunts, uncles, friends, and family.
Services were at 2 p.m. Friday, February 15, at the First United Methodist Church in Grove. Rev. Gary Bishop officiated. Interment was at the Buzzard Cemetery. Family received friends at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
Donations may be made to G.E.F.F.E. in memory of Sarah.

WAYNE L. TUELL
VINITA, Okla. - Wayne L. Tuell, 69-year-old Vinita resident, passed away Tuesday, March 5, 2002 at St. John's Hospital in Tulsa following a short illness.
Wayne was born on May 3, 1932 in Adair, Okla., to Walter and Edna (Chaphan) Tuell. Before joining the United States Navy he graduated from Big Cabin High School in 1952. Before his illness from a previous stroke in 1991, Wayne enjoyed working at the Big Cabin Cemetery, mowing and weed eating for five years with Chuck Wagnon, and his work at the Vinita Sale Barn. His passion in life was fishing with friends and his step-sons. Wayne enjoyed going to church for as long as his health allowed. He worked at Fiberboard in California for nine years before moving to Oklahoma in 1982 to help care for his parents. He served nine years in the Navy during the Korean conflict and afterwards. He served on several ships including the USS Hector, retiring as Seaman 1st class in 1964. He was a member of Emmanuel Temple Church, becoming a member and rededicating his life to Christ in 1997.
On March 21, 1989 Wayne was united in marriage to Edna (Tippett) Miksell at the Wedding Chapel in Miami, Okla.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include: his wife, Edna, of the home; four children, Robbie and Linda Tuell of Calif., Kenny Tuell of Noel, Mo., and Danny Tuell of Oklahoma; three step-children, Jeff Berry of Ketchum, Okla., Tim Berry of Pittsburg, Kan., and Kay Lewallen of White Oak; four grandchildren; six step-grandchildren; one brother, Norman Tuell and wife, Geneva, of Big Cabin; one sister, Virginia Asbury and husband, Warren, of Vinita; numerous nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, March 8, at the Burckhalter Memorial Chapel, Pastor Bruce Butler officiating. Interment will be in Big Cabin Cemetery.
Graveside Military Rites will be performed by the Grove Veterans Ritual Detail.
Services are under the direction of the Burckhalter Funeral Home.
