TOM D. WELCH
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - Tom D. Welch, 51, of Siloam Springs, died September 22, 2002 with his loving family by his side at his home. He was born December 8, 1950 in Lawton, Okla.
He was a member of the First Christian Church of Gentry, Ark., and was employed by Wal-Mart Transportation of Bentonville, Ark., as a truck driver. Tom had been a diesel mechanic and truck driver for most of his life. He previously operated the truck garage for Simmons Foods in Southwest City, Mo. He drove a truck for McKee Foods and owned and operated Tom Welch Trucking. He graduated from McDonald County High School in Anderson, Mo., in 1969.
He is survived by: his wife, Brenda; two sons, Blake and Tyler Welch, of the home; one daughter, Ashlyn Welch, of the home; one brother, Don Welch, and wife, Carolyn, of Noel, Mo.; his mother-in-law, Betty Gose of Elkins, Ark.; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, with Pastor Jim Whisenant officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs. Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate donations to the Circle of Life Hospice, 610 E. Emma Ave., Springdale, AR 72764.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

DANIEL PAUL WEST III
GROVE - Daniel Paul West III, of Grove died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 in the St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla., after battling cancer for 17 months. He was 26.
Paul was born March 26, 1976 to Daniel Paul West Jr., and Linda Kay West at Labette County Hospital in Parsons, Kan. He lived most of his life in Oswego, Kan., graduating from Oswego High School in 1996. He attended Labette Community College in Parsons and Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Miami, Okla. Paul moved to Grove in 1997 and later moved to Tulsa. He was employed with United Recovery Systems, Inc., in Tulsa. He was a gifted musician playing the guitar and wrote several songs.
He was preceded in death by one brother, Larry Ray Coppock.
Survivors include: his parents, Daniel Paul West Jr., and Linda Kay West of Grove; two daughters, Bridget Jenkins, age six, of Columbus, Kan., and Dacie Camilla West, age four, of Grove; one brother, Harold Ben Coppock of Oswego; two sisters, Cammy Annette Kellogg of Grove, and Mary Kay West of Tahlequah, Okla.
Graveside services will be at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 17, at the Edna City Cemetery, one mile north of Edna, Kan., with Rev. Mark Linn officiating. Family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

NORMA JEAN WEST
BROKEN ARROW, Okla. - Norma Jean West, age 61, Broken Arrow, Okla., died June 11, 2002 in St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Born August 1, 1940 in Delaware County, Okla., she was the daughter of Allen and Opal West of Jay, Okla. She lived in Broken Arrow for over 20 years. Since her retirement from the Department of Human Services in Tulsa, she had worked as a volunteer at St. Francis Hospital. Norma was a member of the South Tulsa Baptist Church.
Survivors include: one brother, Al Dee West of Jay; one nephew, Fred West of Jay; two nieces, Carolyn Freeman of Overland Park, Kan., and Paula Peterson of Edwardsville, Kan.; seven great nieces and nephews; and three aunts, Nell Ramsey of Tulsa, Marcie Wofford of Colcord, Okla., and Naomi West of Tustin, Calif.
A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, June 15, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, Ark.

ESTELLA MAE WHEELER
LANCASTER, Calif. - Estella Mae Wheeler, 94, of Lancaster, formerly of Commerce, Okla., died Monday, July 22, 2002 in the Lancaster Community Hospital after an illness.
Mrs. Wheeler was born June 19, 1908 in Eufaula, Okla., to William and Neva (McMullan) Reed. She worked as a cook for the Antelope Valley Hospital in California before her retirement.
Mrs. Wheeler's first husband, Alfred Kiser, and second husband, Charles Wheeler, precede her in death.
Survivors include: one son, Claude Kiser of Tehachapi, Calif.; two sisters, Elnora Smith of Commerce, and Marguerite Ellis of San Jose, Calif.; two brothers, John Reed of El Sobrante, Calif., and Alfred Reed of San Lorenzo, Calif.; seven grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services will be held Wednesday, July 31, at 10 a.m. in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Galena, Kan., under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 7 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home.

JAMES F. (JIM) WHEELER
ROSEVILLE, Calif. - James F. (Jim) Wheeler was born Nov. 3, 1915 in Dover, Ark. He lived in Oklahoma, Nebraska and California. In California, he resided in Alameda, Richmond, Grass Valley and San Francisco. He was a lumberjack and pile driver. He worked on all the major bridges in the Bay area. He died July 21, 2002 after a long illness in Roseville, Calif.
Masonic services were held by Bob Keith (a 50-year friend) at the First United Methodist Church in Roseville, Saturday, July 27. Reverend Jerry Angove officiated. Interment was in Grove. The Tones, choral group from Diamond K Estates sang his favorite hymns.
Jim is survived by his wife of 32 years, Harriett Hubbard Ball; his two sons, Chuck of Boise, Idaho, and Steve, of Grass Valley; one daughter, Simona McAngus, of Dixon, Calif.; one nephew, Doy Wheeler, of Tulsa, Okla.; one sister, Grace Strout, of Tulsa, Okla.; three step-sons, Jack Ball of Berkeley, Calif., Ted Ball of Santa Monica, Calif., and Harold Ball of Santa Monica, Calif.; four granddaughters and several nieces and nephews.
He was an avid duck hunter and enjoyed spending vacation time in Williams, Calif., hunting. He was a square dancer and enjoyed old houses that he made like new.
He retired at age 61 and moved to Oklahoma where he was a charter member of Grace Presbyterian Church and life member of the Masonic Lodge in Grove.
In 1994 he moved to Diamond K Estates in Roseville, where he lived until his death. He was a member of the Roseville Elks and Moose Lodges.
In lieu of flowers, donations would be preferred to Jim's charities, Grace Presbyterian Church of Grove, First United Methodist Church of Roseville, and Shriner's Hospital of Sacramento, Calif.
Memorial services will be held Sunday, August 18, at 2 p.m. at Grace Presbyterian Church in Grove.

LORENE WHITE
TULSA, Okla. - Lorene White, age 71, was born September 17, 1930 in Estella, Okla., to Walter and Rebecca DeShane and passed from this life on Thursday, April 25, 2002 in Tulsa, Okla. Lorene was a registered nurse and a member of the Native American Church.
Survivors include: four daughters, Lynette White of Sand Springs, Okla., Valerie Applegate of Tulsa, Kathie Kent of Ponca City, Okla., and Jeannie Childers of Coweta, Okla.; two sons, Charles White, Jr., of Tulsa, and Clayton White of Chelsea, Okla.; two brothers, Virgil Hilderbrand of Topeka, Kan., and Tom White of Vinita, Okla.; 24 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles, three sisters, and two brothers.
Friends may make donations to the Tulsa Metropolitan Ministries, 2215 Nogales, Tulsa, OK 74127.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, April 27, in Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of the Heath-Griffith Funeral Service.

SUMMER DAWN WHITE
TULSA, Okla. - Summer Dawn White, 19, met her Lord Wednesday, August 14, 2002 in Tulsa. She was born September 25, 1982 at Tulsa, to Teresa Renae and Jimmy Curtis White. Summer attended school at Catoosa until she moved to Langley and attended school at Ketchum. She loved to play video games, ride the Sea Doo, go cruising, softball games and family.
Summer is survived by her mother, Teresa, and stepfather, Jim Emerson, of Tulsa; one sister, Misty White; grandparents Bill and Linda Morrow of Langley; great grandmothers and grandparents, Edna Webb of Glenpool and Imogene Morrow of Bixby, Okla., Kip and Susie Morrow, and Russ and Leaellen Morrow, of Catoosa; cousins, Brandi Anderson, Ashley, Kippy, Cassie, Derek Morrow, and Kaitlyn Anderson, all of Catoosa; and a host of friends.
Services were held Friday, August 16, at 2 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, Langley. She was laid to rest at Ketchum Cemetery. Services were under the direction of Turner Funeral Chapel, Langley.

DAVID SILAS WHITELEY, JR.
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - David Whiteley, Jr., 84-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, died Saturday, September 21, 2002 in Siloam Springs. Born June 4, 1918 in San Antonio, Texas, he was the son of David Silas Whiteley, Sr., and Willie Slover Whiteley. David was a retired farmer and carpenter and had lived most of his life in the Colcord, Okla., area. He attended John Brown University and was affiliated with the Lutheran Church. David was preceded in death by wives Alfreda Whiteley and Josephine Whiteley.
Survivors include: three sons, David Whiteley and wife, Joannie, of Laverne, Calif., Robert Whiteley and Rosa, Escondido, Calif., and Joe Whiteley and LaNell of Colcord; one daughter, Lydia Meeker and husband, Derrald, of Siloam Springs; 16 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Arthur Whiteley, of Catoosa, Okla., and Cecil Whiteley of Calif.; two sisters, Willine Powell of Fla., and Maxine Glenn of Colcord; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, September 26, at Wasson Memorial Chapel in Siloam Springs, with Dr. A.P. Vohs officiating. Burial will follow in Oak Hill Cemetery.

HARVEY WHITEHILL
NEOSHO, Mo. - Harvey Gene Whitehill, 62, of Goodman, Mo., died Thursday, December 12, 2002, at 9:05 p.m., at Medicalodge of Neosho, after a two-year battle with cancer.
Harvey Whitehill was born December 5, 1940, in Anderson, Mo., to the late Leonard and Pearl (Edwards) Whitehill. He was a lifelong resident of McDonald County. He attended Banner Church of the Nazarene at Splitlog, Mo. He was a self-employed auto body man and painter.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Levetta Allison of Sacramento, Calif. and Margie Herring of Hart, Mo.
He married Rhonda Hall in July of 1980. She survives of the home in Goodman. Additional survivors include: four sons, Harvey Whitehill, Jr., Randy Whitehill and his wife, Debbie, Darren Whitehill and his wife, Stephanie, and Charles Whitehill and his wife, Shawna, all of Goodman; seven grandchildren, Amanda, Amy, Darik, Shelly, Jacob, Jeffrey and Samuel; two sisters, Ina Mae Blount of Puyallup, Wash. and Norma Thompson of Lanagan, Mo.; mother-in-law, Madeline Hall of Goodman; brothers-in-law, Rick Hall and wife, Suzanne, of Racine, Mo., Lewis Herring of Hart, Mo.; sisters-in-law, Brenda Hall, Janice Childress and husband, Doug, all of Goodman; numerous nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held on Monday, December 16, at 10 a.m. at Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson. Rev. Dennis Bergen, Rev. Bill Hess and Rev. Lewis Herring officiated. Burial was in the Banner Cemetery at Splitlog.

ARELIA NELL TEEHEE-WIDAMAN
GROVE - Arelia Nell Teehee-Widaman, age 89, born January 8, 1913 in Wilburton, Okla., died March 21, 2002 in Grove. She was a homemaker. Membership was held in the Rebecca Lodge and First Christian Church of Broken Arrow. She was preceded in death by her parents, two husbands, a daughter, Barbara, sister, Edna Saffell, and three brothers, Lee, Leonard, and David Robertson.
Survivors include: a step-daughter, Diana and Alvie Wiley; a son, Martin Lyndon and Susie Teehee; two stepsons, Kenneth and June Spence, and Charles Sharon Widaman; 13 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren and numerous other family members.
Funeral services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, March 25, at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Grove. Graveside service was at the G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla. Services were under the direction of Ninde Woodland Chapel Funeral Home in Tulsa, Okla.

GARY WIGGINS
KANSAS, Okla. - Gary Wiggins, 69-year-old resident of Kansas, died August 15, 2002 at his home. Born January 10, 1933, in Van Buren, Ark., he was the son of Jack A. Wiggins and Sylvia Sherley Wiggins. He was a retired pipeline welder for the oil industry and was a member of Pipeliners Union 798, Tulsa, Okla. Mr. Wiggins attended Gospel Lighthouse Church in Kansas. He had been a resident of the northeastern Oklahoma area since 1971 and was an Air Force veteran.
Survivors include: his wife, Margaret, of the home; two sons, Jerry Wiggins and his wife, Sonya, of Kansas, and Howard Wiggins of Springdale, Ark.; two daughters, Debra Dunn and her husband, Bruce, of Fayetteville, Ark., and Lisa Carter and her husband, Robert, of Kansas; 14 grandchildren; one great granddaughter; four brothers, Darrell Wiggins and Randy Wiggins, both of Kansas, Johnny Wiggins of Lansing, Kan., and Artis Wiggins of Tulsa, Okla.; four sisters, Pat McKinnon of Santa Ana, Calif., Elnora Evans of Belle Vista, Ark., Darlene Jackson of Kansas, and Betty Jean Ramsey of Oklahoma City, Okla.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Monday, August 19, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloams Springs, Ark., with Brother Sam Andrews officiating. Burial followed at Kansas Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

BLUE WILEY
DELAWARE COUNTY - Blue Wiley, age 72, died Sunday, September 1, 2002 after a sudden illness. The son of Frank and Maggie (Owens) Wyly, he was born on March 16, 1930 in Delaware County. Blue was a full-blood member of the Cherokee Tribe. He attended the Roundsprings Church. He worked all over the area as a general laborer.
He is survived by one niece and four nephews.
The funeral will be on Friday, September 6, at 2 p.m. in the Roundsprings Church. Interment will be in the Roundsprings Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay, Okla.
