PHILLIP WILLIAMS
GROVE - Phillip Williams, age 68, died Thursday, April 4, 2002 at Betty Ann Nursing Center.
Phillip Williams was born on March 23, 1934 in Jay, Okla., to James and Letha (Downing) Williams. He moved from Jay to Chelsea as a youth and then moved back to Jay in 1985. He worked as a farm worker and attended Hickory Grove Church. Mr. Williams was preceded in death by five sisters and six brothers.
Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Monday, April 8, at Hickory Grove Cemetery with Rev. Jim LeMaster officiating.
Services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

SAMUEL ORVAL WILLIAMS
GROVE - Samuel Orval Williams, age 86, died Wednesday, March 20, 2002 at his home in Grove.
Samuel Williams was born on July 26, 1915 in Navasota, Texas, to Samuel Price and Anna Belle (Edmonds) Williams. In 1936, he married Ruth Allsup. To this union four children were born. A son, Samuel O. Williams, Jr., preceded Mr. Williams in death. He married Ester B. Cathey on December 31, 1951 in Medford, Okla. She preceded him in death on July 21, 1982. Mr. Williams worked for Boeing in Wichita, Kan., for 30 years building airplanes and other parts for the military. He retired on February 1, 1976 and moved to Grove. Mr. Williams was a member of Moose Lodge #2033 and VFW Post #8380. His hobbies included fishing and golf.
Survivors include: two daughters, Shirley Sanquist of Edmond, Okla., and Susan Dunlap of Hammond, Ind.; one son, Derryl Williams of Wellington, Kan.; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren, and Ruth Williams.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, March 23, at Olympus Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

VAUGHN HENRY WILLIAMS
EUCHA, Okla. - Vaughn Henry Williams, 69, met his Lord Saturday, August 24, 2002 at Tulsa, Okla. Vaughn was born at Eucha on June 25, 1933 to George Duke Williams and Della Robertson Williams. Vaughn attended school at Gray School until the eighth grade, and later started raising cattle and working construction all his life operating heavy equipment.
Vaughn married Barbara Hutchinson January 16, 1959. Together they raised six children. Vaughn worked for Sheehan Pipeline Construction for 30 years. He loved his family and enjoyed people, young and old. He also enjoyed operating a bulldozer, hunting and fishing, and talking about fishing and hunting.
Vaughn is preceded in death by his parents and two brothers.
He is survived by: his wife, Barbara, of the home; six children, Renee Bower and husband, Russ, Eddie Laws and wife, Roseanna, Johnny Laws and wife, Jan, Gaila McDonald and husband, Keith, Teresa Brown and husband, Charlie, and Rhea Johnston and husband, Pat; one brother, Lonnie Williams; four sisters, Vida Morrow, Alice Hicks, Lee Lawson, and Betty Lawson; 18 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of family and friends.
Family visitation will be held Monday evening 6-8 p.m. at Turner Funeral Chapel in Jay, Okla. Services will be Tuesday, August 27, at 10 a.m. at the Southside Church of Christ, Jay. Services are under the direction of Turner Funeral Chapel, Jay.

VERNA WILLIAMS
TAHLEQUAH, Okla. - Graveside services for Verna Williams, age 83, of Tahlequah, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, February 14, 2002 at Tahlequah City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of the Hart Funeral Home in Grove.
Verna's grandchildren will be serving as pallbearers.
Verna Williams, daughter of the late John and Cassie (Watkins) Bynum, was born October 21, 1918 in Shady Grove, Okla., and died Sunday, February 10, in Tahlequah, at the age of 83 years, three months, and 19 days.
A lifetime resident of this area, Verna attended schools in Locust Grove, Okla. She and her husband owned Bynum's Grocery in Jay and, after his death, she worked at Western Hills Lodge as a retailer. A member of the Jay First Baptist Church, Verna was a prayer warrior who never lost her faith. She was extremely devoted to her husband, and she adored spending time with her family, especially watching her grandchildren play sports. Verna was a member of the OES, and was also a dedicated fan of college sports, especially OU and Razorback basketball and football. In her leisure time, she loved traveling, embroidery, and cross-stitch, as well as reading, listening to country and gospel music and playing cards. Verna was loved by many and will be dearly missed by all who knew her.
On April 18, 1936, Verna married Deamer "De" Max Williams in Jay. He preceded her in death along with her parents, two sisters, Beulah Spurling and Martha Robinson, her twin brother, Virgil Bynum, four other brothers, Herb, Elza, Clarence, and Starling Bynum, two sons, Marvin and Gary Williams, and a daughter, Pamela Hollenbeck.
Survivors include: three children, Ron Williams and wife, Barbara, of Glenpool, Okla., Gay Dellinger of Springdale, Ark., and LuJuana Marcello of Farmington, Ark.; one sister, Reba Bynum Bell of Tahlequah; two brothers, Howard Bynum and Welza Bynum, both of Tahlequah; nine grandchildren, David Williams and wife, Jennifer, Jon Dellinger and wife, Tammy, Eric Dellinger and wife, Kelli, Deron Williams and wife, Sarah, Lynnell Dellinger, Brian Williams, Chris Brewer, Brandon Marcello, and Brent Marcello; and four great-grandchildren, as well as many friends and loved ones.
The family will receive visitors at Hart Funeral Home from 7 to 9 p.m. on Wednesday evening, February 13.

GEORGE F. WILLS
GROVE - George F. Wills, 99, died Tuesday, November 5, 2002 at Grove Nursing Center. Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday, November 8, at Rose Hill Chapel, Rose Hill Cemetery, Tulsa, Okla.
George Frederick Wills was born on August 24, 1903 in Oklahoma City, Okla., to Henry and Mary Will. He was a proud graduate of the University of Oklahoma with Civil Engineering and Business Administration degrees. He married Henryetta Beard on June 9, 1928 in Sapulpa, Okla. She preceded him in death. Mr. Wills worked as a Repair Supervisor for Southwestern Bell Telephone Company for 35 years. He was a member of the Kiwanis Club and enjoyed gardening, travel and furniture repair.
Survivors include: two daughters, Georgia Riggs, Grove, and Nancy Wills, Tulsa; three granddaughters, Jennifer McSweeny, Tulsa, Joelle Krason, Oklahoma City, and Jana Gorman, Bartlesville, Okla.; four great grandchildren, Ryan McSweeny, Molly McSweeny, Riggs Gorman and Regan Gorman. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, and two brothers, Ray and James Will.
Services are entrusted to the Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, 918-786-5172.

STEPHEN E. WILMOTH
FAIRLAND, Okla. - Stephen E. Wilmoth, of Fairland, died at 5 a.m. Monday, February 19, 2002 at the Grand Lake Villa in Grove after an illness. He was 89 years of age.
Mr. Wilmoth was born July 18, 1912 at Fairland to Arthur P. and Eda (Mathis) Wilmoth. He had lived in the Fairland area most of his life. He was a construction worker for Tunnell & Farmer Company. He was gardener and fisherman.
He was married to Eva Gammill February 29, 1979 at Miami, Okla. She survives of the home. His first wife, Dorothy (1977), two sisters, Mary Jane Cullison and Thelma Myers, and a brother, Frances Eugene Wilmoth, all preceded him in death.
Survivors include: one daughter, Myrna Doering and husband, Richard, of Jamestown, Calif.; one stepson, Glen Cunningham; one brother, Ernest (Pete) Wilmoth of Fairland; three sisters, Josie Cunningham of Hood River, Ore., Mae Franklin of Sonora, Calif., and Irene Rhodes; one granddaughter, Tracy Condie and husband, John, of Seattle, Wash.
Graveside services will be Thursday, February 21, at 10:30 a.m. at the Fairland Cemetery in Fairland. The Rev. Brian Giebler will officiate. The family will receive friends Wednesday, February 20, from 7 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Paul Thomas Funeral Home in Miami.

BOBBY A. WILSON
ANDOVER, Kan. - Funeral services for Bobby A. Wilson, 69, of Andover were held Tuesday, April 23, 2002 at Lakeview Funeral Home Chapel in Wichita Kan., with Rev. Jerry Smith officiating.
Interment was in the Lakeview Memorial Gardens in Wichita.
Mr. Wilson was born Oct. 27, 1932 in Oklahoma to Arthur and Anna (Prater) Wilson, both deceased. He died of natural causes Friday, April 19, at the Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.
His wife, Mary Frye Wilson, survives.
He retired from Raytheon Aircraft in Wichita where he was a general foreman.
He served in the U.S. Army and reached the rank of Sgt. while serving in the Korean War, and was a 32nd degree Mason with Mystic Tie Masonic Lodge #45 in Augusta, Kan.
He is survived by two sons, Mike Wilson, and his wife, Ann, of Omaha, Neb., and Chris Wilson of Kansas City, Kan.; a sister, Maxine Lewis of Grove; and two grandchildren, Brenden and Erin Wilson.

KENNETH LYNN WILSON
KANSAS, Okla. - Kenneth Lynn Wilson, 25-year-old resident of Kansas, Okla., died October 20, 2002. Born November 24, 1976 in Claremore, Okla., he was the son of Claud Alan Wilson and Loretta Joy Kirk Wilson. He was an auto mechanic and had lived all of his life in Kansas, Okla., graduating from Kansas High School in 1995.
Survivors include: his parents, Alan and Loretta Wilson, Kansas; paternal grandmother, Joyce Wilson, Tahlequah, Okla.; his companion, Trish Mallow of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two sons, Chance Allan Wilson and Drannon Ellis Wilson, both of the home, and one brother, Jeffrey Alan Wilson of the home.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, October 24, at the Kansas Cemetery with Mr. Wayne Jordan officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

TOMMY WILSON
JAY, Okla. - Thomas Wilson of Jay died Friday, November 15, 2002, at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Jay. He was 82.
Tommy was born November 16, 1919 to Thomas and Ada (Glenn) Wilson at Harrison, Ark. He loved music and was well known for writing gospel songs. Tommy was loved and well known in the community. Tommy's disability did not stop him from traveling to gospel concerts around the tri-state area.
Survivors include his sister, Louise Cash, of Anderson, Mo., and other nieces nephews and a host of friends and admirers.
Graveside services were held Monday, November 18, 2002, at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery, east of Jay. Bill Richardson, minister, officiated. Services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

MADGE WINCHESTER
TIFF CITY, Mo. - Madge Winchester, age 75, of Tiff City, Mo., died on Monday, April 15, 2002 at 10:30 p.m. at her home after an illness.
She was born on November 5, 1926 at Sulphur Springs, Ark., to Harry F. and Eunice Leo (Patton) Heckman. She moved to Tiff City in 1963, coming from Grove. She and her husband owned and operated the Tiff City General Store from 1963 to 1981. She was a member of the Buffalo Creek Baptist Church in Tiff City.
Madge married Virgil Winchester on December 15, 1946 at Bentonville, Ark. She was a loving wife and worked diligently beside her husband, and a loving mother and grandmother, "Nannie," to her family, as well as a friend to all.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lillian Ella (Peachy) Heckman.
Survivors include: four daughters, Sally Dale and husband, Terry, of Greencastle, Ind., Rosa Lea Ruddick and husband, Donald, of Tiff City, Ella Shobe and husband, Doug, of Grove, and Joyce McCool and husband, Rex, of Tiff City; a half sister, Nonalea Holm of Gravette, Ark.; two brothers, Joe Heckman and Jim Heckman, both of Branson, Mo.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, April 18, at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson, Mo. Brother Loyd Crawford will officiate. Sons-in-law and grandsons will serve as pallbearers, Terry Dale, Donald Ruddick, Doug Shobe, Rex McCool, Jason Ruddick, Justin Ruddick and Chad Shobe. Burial will be in the Peace Valley Cemetery in Anderson.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, April 17, at the Ozark Funeral Home in Anderson.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Buffalo Creek Baptist Church Building Fund in care of the Ozark Funeral Home, P.O. Box 520, Anderson, MO 64831.

FLORENCE ELIZABETH EDDIS WINN
MIAMI, Okla. - Florence Elizabeth Eddis Winn, 86, of Miami died Friday November 29, 2002 at the Baptist Regional Medical Center in Miami, after an illness.
Mrs. Winn was born August 29, 1916 in Emporia, Kan. to Thomas Jefferson and Jessie Mable (Cozad) Childers, she has lived in Miami for the past fifteen years moving here from Grove, Okla. she attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Miami.
Mrs. Winn was a nurse. She took her nursing training at the St. Joseph's Hospital in Portland Ore. and she worked in a packing house in her youth. She liked to crochet, cook and read. She married Herbert Clarence Eddis on August 3, 1944 in Des Moines, Ia. He preceded her in death in May 1960.
Mrs. Winn was also preceded in death by husband, Roscoe Winn, in November 1967. A daughter, Irene Click, also preceded her.
Survivors include: four sons, William Eddis of Des Moines, Ralph Edwin Johnson of Miami, Buck Eddis of Diamond, Mo.; three daughters, Elaine Evans of Dayton, Ohio Eva M. Dady of Des Moines, Elizabeth Layman of Miami. Eleven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, December 3, at the Laurel Hill Cemetery in Des Moines, Ia. The family received friends from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Commerce, Okla. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Commerce
