CARLOS RAY WINNINGHAM
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - Carlos Ray Winningham, 52-year-old resident of Siloam Springs, died Thursday, February 14, 2002 at his home. He was born February 25, 1949 in Batesville, Ark., the son of Cleo Winningham and Lola Irene Goad Winningham. He was a lifetime resident of Siloam Springs and a graduate of Siloam Springs High School. He was a maintenance supervisor for Webb Wheel Manufacturing. He married Beverly Nowlin December 7, 1968. Mr. Winningham was preceded in death by a son, Casey Ray Winningham, his parents, and a brother, E.C. Winningham.
Survivors include: his wife, Beverly, of the home; one son, Kevin Winningham of Siloam Springs; four brothers, Levon Winningham of Siloam Springs, Louis Winningham of Lincoln, Ark., Gary Winningham of Alma, Ark., and Balton Winningham of Siloam Springs; four sisters, Dora Lee Mitchell of Springdale, Ark., Liz Keaton of Siloam Springs, Sharon Kay NarComey of Sallisaw, Okla., and Mary Catron of Stilwell, Okla.; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside services were held Sunday, February 17, at 2:30 p.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery in Siloam Springs with Brother Wilbur Harlin and Rev. Raymond Scott officiating. Burial followed in Oak Hill Cemetery. Funeral services were under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark.

DONALD LEE WITTE
GROVE - Donald Lee Witte, 40, of Grove, died Monday, November 11, 2002 at St. John's Medical Center, Joplin, Mo.
Donald Witte was born in Miami, Okla., on December 22, 1961 to David Lee Witte and P.J. Hoover. He was a dairy farmer and a member of the National Guard. He was a member of the First Assembly of God, Afton, Okla.
Survivors include: his two children, Ashley Rench, Miami, and Bryan Meador, Afton; his parents; two brothers, Michael Witte, Georgia, and Roy Hoover, Zena; one stepbrother, Marvin Hoover, Commerce, Okla.; one stepsister, Ruthie Viles, Zena; his grandmother, Dorothy Betts, Fairland, Okla.; his beloved friend and mother of his children, D-Ann Arnold, and countless brothers and sisters in Christ.
Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 16, at First Assembly of God, Fairland, with Rev. Robert Jackson officiating.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.

BERTHA WEELEY WOLF
DELAWARE COUNTY - Bertha Weeley Wolf, age 80, died Tuesday, October 8, 2002 at her home. She was born on April 12, 1922 in Cherokee Co. Bertha was a homemaker all of her life, and lived in Pineville, Mo., until 1960 when she moved to Delaware County. She married Mike Wolf on August 23, 1944.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Mike Wolf; one son, Beaver Wolf; two grandsons, Jon Wolf and Dylan Foreman; three granddaughters, Rebecca Lynn King, Bernice Wolf, and Kimberly King; one brother and three sisters.
She is survived by: 10 children, Betty Culver of Jay, Okla., Cynthia Manley of Catoosa, Jan Wolf of Grove, Doris Teehee of Joplin, Mo., Archie Wolf of Lawton, Bob Wolf, Adam Wolf, Tom Wolf and Mitchell Wolf, all of Jay; one stepson, Richard Panther Wolf, of Pryor; two sisters, Pauline Leach and Malinda Chucalate of Stilwell; 42 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren, and six great great grandchildren.
The funeral will be Saturday, October 12, at 2 p.m. in the First Baptist Church in Jay. The interment will be in the Hillside Cemetery. There will be services at the funeral home Friday evening at 7 p.m. The services are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

FLOYD RAYMOND WOLF
GROVE - Floyd Raymond Wolf, 83, passed away at Grove on Thursday November 21, 2002. Floyd was born January 11, 1911 at Mt. Home Ark. to Walter Bee and Jesse Strayhorn Wolf. Floyd's family later moved to Grove in 1921 and later to Jay in 1930. Floyd attended school at Jay and graduated in 1937 with honors. Floyd was the first athlete from Jay to receive a scholarship and lettered in football and basketball at NEO College for three years. Floyd enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in May 28, 1942 as a physical training instructor, and later served for 42 months at Truax Field, Madison, Wis. He was later discharged as sergeant on October 9,1945. Floyd attended NSU receiving his teaching degree, and in 1951 came to Jay. In 1974 Floyd started teaching special education at Jay schools, retiring in 1990. Floyd is preceded in death by: his parents; his first wife, Peggy; and one son, Roy Wolf. Floyd is survived by: wife, Betty of the home; three children, David T. Wolf, Danny R. Wolf, Nancy R. Lonnon; three sisters, Frances Rea, Louise Wolf and Mary Jean Barrow; two brothers, Richard V. Wolf and David Wolf; and several nieces and nephews and grandchildren. Family visitation was held Sunday afternoon, November 24, at the Turner Funeral Chapel, Jay. Services were held Monday November 25, at the Methodist Church at Jay. Floyd was laid to rest at the Duffield Cemetery, Jay. Services were under direction of Turner Funeral Chapel Jay.

BRUCE RYAN WOOD
GROVE - Bruce Ryan Wood, age 42, died Tuesday, March 12, 2002, in Miami, Okla.
Bruce was born on February 16, 1960 in Ft. Hood, Texas to Charles L. and Patricia (Roberts) Wood. His father preceded him death. He lived Dallas, Texas for ten years. Mr. Wood worked as a wrecker driver.
Survivors include: his mother and step-father, Patricia and Gayle Edmondson, of Grove; one brother, Robert Kyle Wood, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; his grandmother, Virginia Roberts of Fayetteville, Ark.; his grandfather, Mack Wood, of Longview, Texas; step-grandparents, Lee and Edith Edmondson, of Grove; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, March 15, at Buzzard Cemetery with Rev. Randy Hamill officiating.
Memorial gifts may be made to First United Methodist Church Music Department in Grove.
Services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

PATRICIA LENORE WOOD
GROVE - Patricia Lenore Wood, age 69, died Monday, February 18, 2002 in the St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. The daughter of Wyly Orr and Vauntreba (Worthington) Huggins, she was born on July 6, 1932 in Fairland, Okla. Pat attended the Hickory Grove Schools in elementary school and Livingston, Mont., for Junior and High School. She was a telephone operator for 31 years, starting with Mountain Bell Co. in 1950 and later AT&T. She was the treasurer for the AARP in Grove and a member of the Garden Club and Homemaker's Club. Pat was a member of the First Baptist Church. She married James Lee Wood Jr. on December 6, 1952. They moved to Grove from Oceanside, Calif. in 1992. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, Wyly Paul Huggins.
Survivors include: her husband, James Wood, of Grove; two sons, James Wyly Wood of Yosemite, Calif., and Richard Lee Wood of Phoenix, Ariz.; two brothers, Otis Huggins of Spring, Texas, and Larry Huggins of Seattle, Wash.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 1 p.m. on Saturday, February 23, in the First Baptist Church of Grove with Reverend Robin Cowing officiating. There will be a visitation for family and friends at the funeral home at 6 p.m. on Friday. The services are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

ROBERT DEAN WOOD
EUCHA, Okla. - Robert Dean Wood, of Eucha, Okla., died Sunday, April 14, 2002 at the Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove. He was 53.
Mr. Wood was born March 19, 1949 to Robert and Marcella (Davidson) Wood in Bristow, Okla. He served his country in the United States Army. He worked at Lakemont Shores for 17 years and worked at Pine Island Resort for six years. He married Jeannette Wood September 17, 1993 in Miami, Okla. One sister, Jenne Wood, preceded him in death.
Survivors include: his wife, Jeannette, of Lakemont Shores; three step-sons, Samuel Fisher and wife, Rhonda, of Joplin, Mo., Stephen Fisher and wife, Janice, of Langley, Okla., and William Scott Fisher of Beggs, Okla.; and four step grandchildren, Thomas, Andrew, Savanah, and Meagan.
Private family services will be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

JAMES 'JIM' WRIGHT
GROVE - Jim Wright, age 75, of Grove, died Thursday, October 10, 2002 in the Grove General Hospital. The son of Thomas A. and Mae Caudill Wright, he was born on August 12, 1927 in Delaware County. Jim went to grade school in the Old Rocky Point School at Whitewater, but moved to California until 1944. In 1946 he joined the U.S. Army, receiving the WWII Victory Medal and the Army of Occupation Medal Japan. He received an Honorable Discharge as a Corporal. Jim worked for O'Brien's Chicken plant, retiring in 1990. He married Mary E. Sprueill on March 6, 1972 and she survives.
Also surviving are: five stepchildren, David Herschbach, Chester Sprueill, Rufus Sprueill, Jane West, and Sandy Duffield; a brother, Chuck Wright; a sister, Lola Roger, and nieces and nephews, Ace Wright, Ron Wright, Marsha Wright, and Debra King.
The funeral was at 10 a.m. Saturday, October 12, at the graveside in the Butler Cemetery with Reverend Dolphus Blevins officiating. The Grove Veterans Ritual Team gave Veteran's Rites. The services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.

LORENE ELIZABETH WRIGHT
AFTON, Okla. - Lorene Elizabeth Wright, age 91, of Afton, Okla., died Monday, April 29, 2002 at Integris Grove General Hospital in Grove after an illness.
Mrs. Wright was born February 10, 1911 in Afton to Bert and Maude (Gregory) Grunden. She had lived in Afton most of her life. She married Carl D. Wright November 11, 1932 in Vinita, Okla., he preceded her in death in June 1981. She was also preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Bill, Richard and Bert C. Jr. Grunden, two sisters, Lottie Meyers and Anna Lee Cron Smith, two grandchildren, David Chandler, and Mary Beth Wright, and one great-grandson, Trent Chandler.
Mrs. Wright was a seamstress and enjoyed gardening. She was a long time member of the Afton Assembly of God.
Survivors include: two sons, Jack Wright of Miami, Okla., and Jerry Bill Wright of Afton; two daughters, Jane (Wright) Darden of Claremore, Okla., and Martha (Wright) Chandler of Anderson, Mo.; one brother, James Otis Grunden of Sun City, Ariz.; one sister, Dee Burch of Miami; 13 grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren, and three step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday, May 2, at 10 a.m. at the Afton Assembly of God Church in Afton. Pastor Bret Luallen will officiate.
Pallbearers are Rodney, Roger, Robert, Jackie, and Karl Wright, Randy, Ronnie Darden, Charles, Bryce Chandler and Robert Long.

NEAL E. WYLIE
GROVE - Neal E. Wylie, 63, of Houston, Texas, died September 16, 2002 at the home of his sister in Grove. Private family services were held.
Neal Ervin Wylie was born in Noel, Mo., on September 11, 1939 to Rivers and Elsie (Harris) Wylie. He received a BS degree in Mathematics and did graduate studies in Mathematics, both at Pittsburg State University. He was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps.
Mr. Wylie worked for Texas Instruments from 1964-1968 as the Chief of seismic data processing. He was the Vice president of World Wide Marine Operations and Marketing Manager for E.A.M.E. From 1968-1983, Mr. Wylie was Executive Vice President for Digicon Geophysical Corporation, directing marine operations worldwide. He was the president/chairman CEO/COO for Grant-Norpac Geophysical, Inc. from 1983-1986, operating 72 land seismic data acquisition crews worldwide. From 1986-1989, he was an International Business Consultant before being employed by Digicon Geophysical Corporation in 1989 until 1993, where he was Geophysical Services Corporate Marketing Manager. Mr. Wylie became an International Business Consultant in 1993 and worked in that position until the time of his death.
Mr. Wylie was the former chairman of the International Association of Geophysical Contractors, former director of the National Ocean Industries Association, member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists, and a member of the Houston Geophysical Society. He moved to Houston, Texas, in August 1966, where he lived until moving to Grove in September of 2002.
Survivors include: one daughter, Rebeccah Stone, Columbus, Kan.; and two sisters, Linda and Anita Wylie, Grove.
Mr. Wylie's daughter requests that friends share any anecdotes from his life with her. Her mailing address is: Rebeccah Wylie Stone, P.O. Box 498, Columbus, KS 66725.
Services were entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove.

MYA JO YOUNG
MIAMI, Okla. - Mya Jo Young, infant daughter of Jarramy and Chrisstie Young, was stillborn October 30, 2002 at Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami, Okla.
Survivors include: her mother and father, Chrisstie and Jarramy Young, of Miami; paternal grandparents, Terry and Sue Young of Carthage, Mo.; maternal grandmother, Elaine Carmichael of Miami; maternal grandfather, Michael Cassoday of Indiana; maternal great grandmother, Marie Carmichael of Miami; maternal great grandparents, Jerry and Juanita Carmichael of Hutchinson, Kan.; maternal great grandfather, Ron Cassoday of Griffith, Ind., and great aunt, Christina Jo Frost of Joplin, Mo.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, November 1, at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Rev. Bob Barker officiated. Burial was in the G.A.R. Cemetery under the direction of the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home, Miami.

RICHARD A. YOUNKER
GROVE - Mr. Richard A. Younker, 64, passed away at Grove General Hospital on October 8, 2002. Richard was born in Cleveland, Ohio, to Clarence and Margaret McQuade on April 18, 1938.
He is survived by: his wife, Edith (Kirkham) Younker; sister, Patricia Hartley, of Cleveland; brother, David Hamany; two sons, Rich and Ron Younker of Ohio; brother-in-law, Bill Kirkham and wife, Marie, of Jay, Okla.; sisters-in-law, Patricia Gile and Betty King, both of Tulsa, Okla.; numerous nieces and nephews, and his cat, Cleopatra.
Richard owned his business for 30 years in California.
He and his wife moved to Oklahoma in 1995, where they both retired.
Family viewing was held Wednesday, October 9, at Turner Funeral Chapel, Jay.

ROBERT ZUMWALT
GROVE - Robert Zumwalt, age 75, died Friday, March 29, 2002 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Private family services will be held at a later date.
Robert Zumwalt was born July 5, 1926 in Columbia, Mo., to Martin and Letha (West) Zumwalt. He married Betty Tracy in January 1950 in Eureka Springs, Ark. Mr. Zumwalt was a veteran of World War II, serving the U.S. Army. He lived in Kansas City from 1950 to 1970 and worked for Superior Transfer Co. He moved to the Grove area in 1986 from Liberal, Mo. His hobbies included fishing and woodworking.
Survivors include: his wife, Betty, of Grove; two sons, Robert Wayne Zumwalt of Grove, and Earl Zumwalt of Ft. Scott Kan.; three daughters, Sheila Long and Patricia Wheeler, both of Grove, and Stacy Michelle Murry of Summerset Mo.; four sisters, Nadine Shoemaker and Helen Cotton, both of Kansas City, Sandra Windler of Warsaw, Mo., and Betty Jorgensen of Overland Park, Kan.; one brother, Howard Zumwalt of Shawnee Mission, Mo.; seven grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home in Grove.
