JACK A. ANDERSON
MIAMI, Okla. - Jack A. Anderson, of Miami, died at 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center after an illness. He was 81.
Anderson was born May 30, 1921, at Hutchinson, Kan., to Noble and Viola (Emmery) Anderson. He had lived in this area most all of his life. He had been a construction worker on roads, and had also worked for the Miami Fire Department.
Mr. Anderson was a member of the Floyd L. Perry American Legion Post #147 of Miami, and a life member of the Disabled American Veterans Post and the Miami Elks Lodge. He enjoyed fishing and watching old western movies on TV.
He married Bertie McGinty on August 13, 1991, in Miami. She preceded him in death on August 3, 2002.
Survivors include two step-sons, Charles McGinty of Miami, and Richard McGinty of Commerce; a step-daughter, LaVita Rhodes of Miami; three nephews, Michael Anderson of Miami, Ronnie J. Anderson of Tulsa, and Raymond and Marilyn Anderson, of Grove, Okla.; six step-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, April 18, at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery, northwest of Vinita, Okla., with Chaplain Larry Billig of the Floyd L. Perry American Legion Post #147 of Miami, officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home of Miami.
The family will receive friends at the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home Thursday, April 17, from 6 until 7 p.m.
Members of the Floyd L. Perry American Legion Post #147 will conduct graveside military rites.
Arrangements are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.

NELLIE ANDERSON
TWIN OAKS, Okla. - Funeral services for Nellie Anderson, 71 of Rose Okla. were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 14, 2003 in the Lowery Free Baptist Church in Twin Oaks, Okla.
Mrs. Anderson was born on March 2, 1931 in Kaw City, Okla. She died on January 10, 2003 in Siloam Springs Ark. The daughter of William Phines & Alpha Loretta (Lee) Wilkinson, she grew up and attended school in Grainola, Okla. She was married to Clifford Eugene Anderson on October 30, 1945 in Winfield Kan. They moved to the Leach, Okla. area in 1962 from Kay County, Okla. She enjoyed Gospel signing and being near family. She attended Timber Grove Free Holiness Church for many years.
She was preceded in death by: her husband, Clifford E. Anderson, in 1983; three grandchildren, Marsh Kay, Mitchell Ray Ferguson, and Johnny Dale Evans; and her parents.
She is survived by: her children, Alpha Bell Phifer of Kansas, Okla., William Earl Anderson of Leach, Okla. and Barbara Jean Evans and husband, Duane, of Leach.

Jeffery Lee Anstine
Jeff Anstine, age 44 died Monday, June 3, 2003 in Hilcrest Hospital in Tulsa. The son of Robert and Elizabeth (Raidy) Anstine, he was born on October 24, 1958 in Baltimore, Md.
Jeff married Connie Watkins on September 19, 1995. He moved to Grove in 1980 and later moved to Jay in 1995. Jeff worked as a plumber for Zap Plumbing and later Elk River Plumbing. He was a guitar picker and loved helping people.
Surviving: his wife Connie in Jay; his father, Robert and his wife Penny; three children, Charles, Angie and Kenny; a step daughter Michelle Blevins; two bothers Roy and Doug; four sisters, Mary, Marcie, Ann and Dani; two grandchildren Braiden and Dayton.
There will be a memorial at the Worley-Luginbuel Chapel on Friday, June 20 at 10 a.m. After the memorial there will be a gathering at the Old Eucha Lake. The services are under the directions of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

BEULAH LOUISA BADER
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - Beulah Louisa Bader, 85, of Gentry, Ark., died January 7, 2003, at Siloam Springs Memorial Hospital. Born November 25, 1917 in Richmond, Calif., she was the daughter of Benjamin Harrison Finley and Mamie Armina Booth Finley. She lived in Gentry since 1946 and was beautician. She was a member of the Eastern Star, the VFW Auxiliary, and Methodist Church in Gentry. She loved gardening and was a member of the Gentry Garden Club. She married Arliss Bader in Carson City, Nev., May 1, 1939.
She was preceded in death by: her husband in 1985; her parents; one brother, Robert Finley; and one sister, Hazel Gatto.
Survivors include: two sons, Michael Bader of Moorpark, Calif., and Paul Bader, of Siloam Springs; three daughters, Arlene Faye Cliffton, of Kingport, Tenn., Marilyn Ann Walters, of Martinez, Calif., and Paula Jean Paterson of Jay, Okla.; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; one brother, John S. Finley, of Freemont, Calif.; and one sister, Ada C. Dawe, of Mesa, Ariz.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, January 11, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, with Rev. Carolyne Doering and Rev. Larry Kingfisher officiating. Burial will follow at Fairmont Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Friday, January 10, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

ELSIE MAY BALDWIN
GROVE, Okla. - Elsie May Baldwin, 92, died Monday, September 29, 2003 at Integris Grove General Hospital. Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m., Wednesday, October 1, at Olympus Cemetery.
Elsie Baldwin was born on February 14, 1911, in Seminole, Okla., to Patrick Matthew and Lavonia (Polk) O'Brien. Her mother and grandparents came to Oklahoma on the Trail of Tears. She had lived in Grove for 10 years, coming from Miami, Okla. Elsie was a homemaker.
Survivors include one daughter Thelma Ann Howard of Grove; three sons Hallie Luper Baldwin of Bella Vista, Ark., Darwin Gerald Baldwin of Seven Point, Texas and Edward Orr Baldwin of Neosho, Mo.; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Baldwin was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Bernard and Patrick O'Brien, three sisters Anna Jackson, Minnie Callihan and Violet O'Brien, one great grandson Neil Howard, and one grandson Ronald Baldwin.
Memorial contributions may be made to favorite charities.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove.

CLARA ILENE BAKER
GROVE - Clara Ilene Baker, 77, died Wed., Feb. 12, 2003 at Grove Nursing Center. Visitation will be held Mon., Feb. 17 from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Ellis Family Funeral Home, Grove. The family will greet friends from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Monday. Burial will take place at a later date in Rocky Comfort, Mo.
Clara Ilene Baker was born on May 5, 1925 in Pioneer, Mo. to Alex and Clara (Lehr) Belka. She previously worked as a beautician and for Cessna in Wichita, Kan. She was a 50-year member of the Order of Eastern Star, Rose Douglas Chapter, Wichita.
Survivors include one brother Lawrence Belka, Neosho, Mo.; one sister-in-law Louise Baker, Independence, Mo.; one nephew Gerald Wayne Dyer and wife, Carolyn, Stark City, Mo.; one niece, Crystal Springer, Diamond, Mo.; several great nieces and nephews and a good friend, Ron Bork. She was preceded in death by two husbands Melvin Dyer and Harley Baker, and two brothers Johnny and George Belka.
Memorial contributions may be made to Good Shepherd Hospice, Grove.

FLOYD LEON BAKER
KANSAS, Okla. - Floyd Leon Baker, 56, of Kansas, Okla. passed away Saturday, February 22, 2003 at his home. Floyd was born on August 29, 1946 in Decatur, Ark. a son of Desmon Baker and Leona Christian Baker. He married Anna Hider on September 21, 1972 in Miami, Okla. Before becoming disabled Floyd worked in the Live Haul Division of Peterson Industries in Decatur.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Bakerof Kansas, Okla.; one brother, Gene Baker, Decatur, Ark.; one sister, Jewel Pickett of Tulsa, Okla. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, February, 26, at 2 p.m. at the Coffelt Cemetery near Vaughn, Ark. Rev. Kevin Wilkison will officiate the service under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

CLARRON RAY "SONNY" BARKER
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - Clarron Ray "Sonny" Barker, 58-year-old resident of Rose, Okla., died May 26, 2003 in Siloam Springs. Born August 7, 1944 in Madeira, Calif., he was the son of Clarron Barker and Juanita Gage Barker. He lived most of his life in California, moving to Oklahoma from Covina, Calif. in 1993, where he had worked as a carpenter. Sonny was a reserve deputy for the Delaware County Sheriff's Department and first responder and fire chief for Leach, Okla. He was a member of the National Rifle Association, an expert marksman and a gospel singer.
Survivors include his mother and father, Clarron and Juanita Barker of the home; one brother, Tom Barker of Lancaster, Ohio; two sisters, Doris "Laura" Jones of Rose and Alice Brownell; nieces Adriana, Amber and Vanessa Gordineer of Rose; and a number of other nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 30, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Burial followed at Rose Cemetery.
Arrangements were provided by Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.

MABEL MAE BARNETT
BOSSIER CITY, La. - Graveside service for Mrs. Mabel Barnett, 98, died February 2, 2003 will be held at the Row Cemetery near Colcord, Okla., on Wednesday, February 5, at 2 p.m. Visitation will be held at Turner Funeral Home in Jay, Okla. on Tuesday, February 4, at 5 p.m.
She lived the last six and one half years in Bossier City, La., home of her son. She is survived by her son, J.C. Barnett and wife, Phyllis, of Bossier City, La.; grandchildren Kay Johnson and husband, James, of Ft. Worth, Texas, Sandy Adams and husband, Jay, of Pecan Gap, Texas, David Barnett and wife, Becki, of Collierville, Tenn., and Peggy Bamburg and husband, Bruce, of Shreveport. La.; four great-great grandchildren and three great-great-great grandchildren; two half brothers, Orma Crank and Joe Crank; and one half sister, Ida Bell Crank. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jonas C. Barnett, and one daughter, Margie Adams.
She was instrumental in developing the Jay Senior Center and was the director for many years. She was a school teacher in both the Illinois and Oklahoma system, dating back to 1922, in the early years teaching in one-room schools. She lived most of her life in Delaware County Okla.

VIRGIL WILLIAM BARNETT, SR.
ROSE, Okla. - Funeral services for Virgil William Barnett Sr., 80 of Rose, were held Thursday, February 27, 2003 at 12 noon in the Key Funeral Home Chapel in Locust Grove, Okla. Burial followed in the Lost City Cemetery. The Reverend Jerold Pilant and Reverend Maxie Thompson officiated.
Mr. Barnett was born February 6, 1923 in Hulbert, Okla. and died February 23, 2003 at his home in Rose, with his family by his side.
He was the son of Jim and Rosie (Copeland) Barnett. He grew up and attended school in Hulbert and the Norwood area. After finishing school, he began working as a cement finisher and carpenter. He soon married Lena Stover in Cherokee County. To this union 11 children were born. They made their home in the Rocky Ford area. Some time later, he and Shirley Moore were married. To this union four children were born and they made their home in California for a number of years until moving back to Oklahoma just a few years ago.
He and his wife did everything together and were very much in love. Virgil enjoyed being outside and working in his gardens or gazing upon the beauty of the wildlife. He also liked working with wood in his wood shop. He was active in rodeo for some time. When he was not able to be outside, he enjoyed watching westerns on TV. He was a Christian and enjoyed hearing the word of the Lord at Rocky Ford Community Church. He was a very loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to all and will be greatly missed.
Survivors include: wife, Shirley, of the home; five sons, Keith Barnett and wife, Diane of Kansas, Okla., Frank Barnett and wife, Brenda of Pryor, Okla., Odie Barnett and wife, Beverly of Locust Grove, Okla., Kennith Barnett and wife, Rhonda, of Porter, Okla. and David Barnett of the home; eight daughters, Ina Pickup and husband, Guy of Rocky Ford, Louisa Kirk and husband, Ed of Leach, Okla., Betty Barnett of Rocky Ford, Gladys Barnett of Talequah, Okla., Mary Madewell and husband, Alfred of Rogers, Ark., Ruby Watkins and husband, Pat of Rocky Ford, Virgie Barnett of the home, and Cathi Wernimont of Leach; one sister, Alice Hinesley and husband, Odie of Porter. He was preceded in death by two sons, Virgil and Earl, three sisters, three brothers and his parents.
Arrangements were under the direction of Key Funeral Home, Locust Grove.

BILL EUGENE BARTLEY, SR.
VINITA, Okla. - Bill Eugene Bartley, Sr., 63-year-old Craig County resident, passed away Tuesday, May 20, 2003, at his home.
He was born September 18, 1939 to Edward Francis "Buck" Bartley and Minnie Geneva (Echols) Bartley, in the Miles Community northwest of Vinita. Bill retired from the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority where he worked in maintenance for 22 years.
He married Linda Armstrong Branham on April 18, 2003 at Dupree Baptist Church. Bill served four years in the Navy.
Survivors include his wife, Linda of the home; one daughter, Darla Langley and husband, John of St. Mary, Mo.; two sons, Bill E. Bartley, Jr. and wife, Shanna of Vinita and Frank Freas and wife, Tammy of Glendive, Mont.; eight grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by the children's mother, Darlene Bartley, his parents, and three brothers, Edward, Edgar and Robert Bartley.
Funeral services will be held Friday, May 23, at the Burckhalter Memorial Chapel at 2 p.m. with Rev. George Vaughn officiating. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery.
Family visitation will be held Thursday, May 22, at the Burckhalter Funeral Home from 6 to 8 p.m.
Services are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home.

LOIS INEZ (SISSON) BAYLESS
SPRINGDALE, Ark. - Lois Inez (Sisson) Bayless, 78-year-old resident of Colcord, Okla., died April 20, 2003 at Northwest Medical Center, Springdale. Born June 4, 1924, in Red Eagle, Okla., she was the daughter of Alex Dill and Elsie Cummins Dill. She lived most of her life in the Colcord area and was a homemaker. Lois was a member of the Colcord Church of Christ and loved gardening and flowers.
Lois was preceded in death by two husbands, Lulen Sisson and Harold Bayless.
Survivors include four sons, James "Dick" Sisson and his wife, Sheree, Albert Sisson and his wife, Mary, David Sisson and his wife, Pam, and Mark Sisson and his wife, Donna, all of Colcord; three daughters, Vicki "Gail" Wilkinson and her husband, Orval of West Siloam Springs, Okla., Goldie Martin and her husband, Billy Ray of Colcord, Vera "Sally" Riddle of West Siloam Springs; 32 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; several step-children; three brothers, Alex Dill of Keefton, Okla., Leo Dill of Broken Arrow, Okla. and Henry Carl Dill of Hulbert, Okla; and one sister, Jackie Rodden of Muskogee, Okla.
Graveside services will be at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 24, 2003, at Blackfox Cemetery in Delaware County, Okla., with Larry Ellis officiating. Visitation will be from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
