Lois Dunnam
Lois Dunnam of Grove died Sunday, June 22, 2003 at the Hillcrest Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. She was 83.
Lois was born on February 27, 1920 in Exeter, Mo. the daughter of Emmett and Chloe (Higgs) Goostree. On July 7, 1945 in Bentonville, Ark. she was united in marriage to Willie L. Dunnam. Willie preceded Lois in death November 3, 1988. Her parents also preceded her in death. Lois received her education in Barry County, Mo. attending Doss County Elementary School and graduating from Exeter High School in 1940. She and her son Gary accompanied Willie to many air bases in the United States and Europe during his thirty-plus year career in the Air Force. After military retirement Willie and Lois farmed in Barry County. In 1988 they retired at Grand Lake in Grove.
Survivors include: one son Gary L. Dunnam and his wife Martha of Grove. One sister, Lavon Montgomery of Cassville, Mo. along with other family and friends.
Graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 25 at the Maple wood Cemetery in Exeter, Mo. Rev.. Paul Yarnall will officiate. Public viewing will be available to everyone Tuesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

MARILYN G. (DODGE) DUNN
GROVE, Okla. - Mrs. Marilyn Gene (Dodge) Dunn, 66, wife of Mr. Robert O. "Bob" Dunn, passed away at the family residence in Grove on Wednesday, May 7, 2003.
Funeral services for Mrs. Dunn were held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the Memory Chapel of The Arnold Moore Funeral Residence, Bartlesville, Okla. Rev. Alan Griffin of Goshen, Ind., was the officiant.
Memorial contributions in Marilyn's name should be forwarded to The Scholarship Fund of the Salem High School Alumni Association, 328 E. State St., Salem, OH 44460.
A native of Illinois, Marilyn Gene Dodge was born October 4, 1936, in Glen Ellyn, Ill. She was the daughter of the late Howard S. and June (Wheeler) Dodge. Marilyn was reared and received her education in Salem, Ohio, and graduated with the Senior Class of 1954 from Salem High School. Marilyn attended Kent State University following her graduation from high school. She and Mr. Robert O. Dunn were married on December 27, 1957, in Salem, and they made their home in Bartlesville as Mr. Dunn was employed with the local Phillips Petroleum Company. Marilyn was first a mother and homemaker. Following the rearing of her children, Marilyn owned and operated the Stitchery Unlimited Needlecraft store from 1987 to 1997.
Mrs. Dunn was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Bartlesville.
Surviving are her husband, Robert O. Dunn, of the Grove, Okla.; a son, Robert O. Dunn, Jr., Peoria, Ill.; two daughters, Ms. Diana Louise Dunn, Ft. Worth, Texas, and Dr. Barbara June Dunn and her husband, Dr. Doug Nightengale, Ardmore, Okla; a brother, Robert and his wife, Holly Dodge, Vienna, Austria; a sister, Mrs. Frank (Sandra) Petras, Citrus Heights, Calif.; and three grandchildren, Robert Seth, James Wil and Emma Louise Nightengale, all of Ardmore. Preceding her in death were her father; mother; brother, Donald Dodge; and a sister, June Dodge.

(HERB) DURBIN
JOPLIN, Mo. - H.F. (Herb) Durbin, 88, entered eternal rest at 8:25 p.m. on March 24, 2003 at St. John's Medical Center in Joplin after a long illness. Herb was born on February 18, 1915 in Todd, Okla. He lived in the Wyandotte, Okla. area for the past 25 years. Herb was ordained as a minister with the Assemblies of God in 1956 and has ministered in Oklahoma and New Mexico as pastor and evangelist. He pioneered churches, had a radio ministry, wrote short stories and was a published poet. He married Nolda Juanita Walker on August 15, 1933 in Vinita, Okla.
He is survived by Nolda; three sons, Herbert of Miles Texas, Joe of Wyandotte, and Daniel of Newton, Kan.; three daughters, Barbara Kenyon and Bertha Needhom, both of Grove, Okla., and Paula Smith of Fairland, Okla.; 21 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Donald, and a granddaughter, Nancy Kenyon Haight.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 7 to 8 p.m., Friday, March 28, at the Adcock Funeral Home Chapel, Fairland.
Services for Mr. Durbin will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, March 29, at the Faith Assembly of God Church, Wyandotte. Pallbearers will be grandsons.
Interment will be at Olympus Cemetery, Grove.
Services are under the direction of the Adcock Funeral Home, Fairland.

WILLIAM VERNON EATON
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. - William Vernon Eaton, 76, of Springdale, Ark., died December 30, 2003, at Fayetteville, Ark. He was born December 19, 1927 at Weathers, Ark., the son of William Franklin and Cordelia Snow McFarland Eaton. He retired from George's. He was a Free Will Baptist. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II and was a member of the V.F.W.
Survivors include his wife, Virginia Glenn Eaton, of the home to whom he married November 19, 1977 in Springdale; one son, Bob Eaton and wife Pat of Springdale; one granddaughter, Jennifer Chappell of Springdale; a Godson, Arren Bruns of Springdale, one brother, Earl Eaton of Springdale; and two sisters, Eula Trolinger and Merle Cole, both of Bluff Cemetery.
Pallbearers are: Jack Watkins, Noel Self, Fred Chamlee, Floyd Collins, Darrell Hull, and Brad Bruns. Honorary pallbearers are: Donnie Robinson, Don Larmon, and Gene George.
Visitation will be Thursday, from 1:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. with family present to receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m.
Memorials may be made to Gideons International, 130-A North College Avenue, Fayetteville, AR 72703.

LARRY LEE EDWARDS
KANSAS, Okla. - Larry Lee Edwards, 65 year-old resident of Kansas, died May 25, 2003 at his residence. Born December 24, 1937 in Guthrie, Okla., he was the son of Steven Edwards and Faye Stanley Edwards.
Larry worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Highway Transportation as a highway maintenance worker. He married Dora Luper in Perry, Okla. in 1984.
Survivors include his wife, Dora of the home; four sons, Steven Edwards of the home, Bill Vaughan of Kansas, Chuck Vaughan of Colcord, Okla. and Nelson Vaughan, of Kansas; three daughters, Karla Edwards of Winslow, Ark., Carolyn Wood and Debbie Hamilton of Kansas; his mother, Faye Netherly of Portland, Ore.; two brothers, Tom Edwards and Robert Lyons, both of Portland; one sister, Susan Lyons of Ft. Worth, Texas; 25 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, May 28, at Wasson Memorial Chapel with Minister Max Ellis officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Cemetery. Visitation will be from 67 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 27, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home.

PAUL RAY ERB
GROVE – Paul Ray Erb, 76, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 9, 2003 at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Paul Erb was born on September 5, 1926 in West Point, Neb. to David K. and Anna (Grieser) Erb. He was a veteran of World War II serving in the United States Navy. He married Grace Oswald in 1947. He later married Mary Krueger on July 25, 1981. Mr. Erb worked at many jobs including farming, sheet rocking, carpentry and as a Deputy Sheriff. He lived in Park Rapids, Minn. until 1982 when he moved to Northwest Arkansas. In 1998, Mr. Erb moved to Grove.
Survivors include his wife Mary, of Grove; six children Diane Erb and husband, Steven Gustafson, Superior, Wis., Paul Erb and wife, Sue, Siloam Springs, Ark., Rozanne Koski, Eveleth, Minn., Sheila Caza and husband, Dwight, Wright, Minn., Theresa Henderson and husband, Wayne, Park Rapids, Minn. and Kimberly Lambert and husband, Leo, Cloquet, Minn.; six step-children, Marvin Erickson, Plymouth, Minn., Arlys Jacobson and husband, Douglas, Glasgow, Mont., Jerry Erickson, Terry Erickson, and Wayne Erickson all of Avoca, Minn., and Lila Homer and husband, Todd, Helena, Mont.; 26 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren. Also surviving are two brothers David and Jim, and four sisters Mable, Ruth, Alice and Ann. Mr. Erb was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one grandson.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, February 14, at Worley-Luginbuel Chapel with James Erb officiating. Interment will follow at Olympus Cemetery. Visitation will be at 7 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove.

RYAN ANDREW FARRIS
CLAREMORE, Okla. - Ryan Andrew Farris, 15, of Colcord, Okla., passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2003, at the Claremore Regional Hospital.
Ryan was born in Sequoyah County, Okla. on August 13, 1988. He was the son of Leonard Joel Farris and Patricia Ann Clark Farris. Ryan was home schooled and enjoyed fishing, collecting old coins and enjoyed studying history. He attended the Chelsea Holiness Church in Chelsea, Okla.
Survivors include his parents Joel and Patricia Farris of Colcord; maternal grandmother Dorothy Clark of Paden, Okla.; five brothers David Wayne Farris of Eucha, Okla. and Jeffrey Don Farris, Derek Scott Farris, Zachary Kelon Farris and Jared Lane Farris, all of Colcord; two sisters Latasha Brooke Farris and Kaycie Lanae Farris, both of Colcord; and many uncles, aunts and cousins.
Funeral services will be held at the Faith Baptist Church in Sandusky, Okla., on Saturday, December 20, at 10 a.m. Bros. David Perry and Loyd Hubbard will officiate the service with burial to be held at the Dickson Cemetery in Cherokee City, Ark.
Arrangements are under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.
Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday, December 19, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m.

CHRISTINA FISHER
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, April 3, 2003, at Sixkiller Cemetery, southeast of Afton, for Christina Fisher. Mrs. Fisher died as a result of a house fire March 25, 2003, in Fairland. Officiating at the service will be Rev. Dale Toles.
Arrangements were provided by Adcock Funeral Home of Fairland.

CHRISTINA M.R. FISHER
FAIRLAND, Okla. - Christina M.R. Fisher, Fairland resident, died at her home early Tuesday morning, March 25, 2003, as a result of injuries sustained in a house fire. She was 34. She was born at Ft. Scott, Kan. On November 25, 1968. Mrs. Fisher worked in personal care. She moved to Fairland in September 2002, coming from Port Duncan. She married Bill Fisher on June 20, 1994, at Neosho, Mo.
She is survived by her husband, Bill Fisher of the home; son, Joseph McElwee; three daughters, Mary McElwee, Krystal White, and Emily Ann Post; a sister, Tonya McElwee, and 16 step-grandchildren. A memorial graveside service will take place at a later time. Mrs. Fisher has been cremated. Arrangements are provided by Adcock Funeral Home of Fairland.

Mary Arminta Smith Fisher
Mary Arminta Smith Fisher was born on November 1, 1917, in Kansas City Missouri, and Christened on April 14, 1918, at Westport Presbyterian Church.
Graduated from Shawnee Mission Rural High School Class of 1935. Lived in Shawnee and married Chauncey (C.L.) Fisher. She worked at the Shawnee State Bank, and later at the Chevrolet Dealership Owned and operated by her husband. They had one child Charles (Chuck) Fisher. They moved to Chanute Kansas in 1961, when General Motors realigned the Chevrolet Dealership franchise her husband owned. She lived there until 1988. While in Chanute she worked at the Parson's Army Ammunitions Plant, and later for NuWay Industries as a bookkeeper and bonded warehouse agent. Shortly after her husband's death she retired and left Chanute, moving to Grove, Oklahoma.
She is proceeded in death by her parents, sister, and husband. Her son Charles and his wife Letha and their daughter Jessica, Mission, KS and her sister's husband Bill Garret Spring Hill, KS and their two son's Bill and wife Julie and their daughters Danielle and Shannon, Garret survive her, her closest friend and traveling partner Gene Grinnell, Grove, OK and his two daughters Yvonne and Donna, and the entire Grinnell family also survive her. Also her Aunt, May Rook and her daughter Veda May, and Granddaughter Janet in California. As well as families of John and Ottis Fisher, her husbands brothers in the Kansas City area.
Arminta was a founding member of the Mission Seroptimist Club, and helped in starting the Shawnee March of Dimes and Polio Campaigns. She was also involved with her son's cub Scout pack at the Shawnee Methodist Church, in Chanute, she was involved in her family and church. She encouraged and prodded when needed her son to achieve his God and County and Eagle Scout ranks, she also volunteered her services at the United Methodist Church. She also attended Neosho County Community College and pursued classes in Silver jewelry making and painting. At one time she was an avid painter of flowers and landscapes. She also loved to play bridge, taking classes and playing several times a week. Upon moving to Grove, she continued her volunteer work and Bridge playing but added a new adventure traveling to different places. She loved to talk and meet new people and most of all loved life. She also took it upon herself to mother anyone she though needed mothering and mothering and mentoring anyone that asked. She was a friend to everyone and ready and willing to help a friend in need. She again volunteered at the Grace Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Green Country Bridge Club, Grove, OK.
There will be two services, one on Wednesday June, 11, 2003, 10 a.m. at the Grace Presbyterian Church in Grove, OK. The Second memorial service will be on Thursday, June 12, 2003 at the Amos Family Funeral Home in Shawnee, KS. These will be a memorial services celebrating her life and the gifts that she has bestowed upon her family and friends. As such colorful attire is welcome as she was full of life and color and happiness. Memorial Contributions in place of flowers can be made in her name to The American Heart Association, The American Cancer Association, or the Memorial Fund at Grace Presbyterian Church 400 South Main St, Grove, OK 74344. The Arrangements are under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, OK.

WAYNE ISHMAEL FLAMING
JAY, Okla. - Wayne Flaming a life long mechanic left us Thursday, June 19, 2003 at his home. He was born on January 20, 1938 in Gauge, Okla. to Albert and Goldie Flaming. He married Glyennis Fleming on December 23, 1957 at Jay. His parents Albert and Goldie, one brother Wesley Flaming, two sisters Evelyn Flaming and Peggy Wheeler, and three grandchildren preceded him in death.
Surviving are his wife Glyennis of the home; five sons Jerry Flaming, Wesley and wife, Bonnie Flaming, Steve and wife, Teresa Flaming, Leroy and wife, Becky Flaming, and Jack and wife, Candace Flaming all of Jay; two daughters Evelyn and husband, Jake Bishop of Jay and LaWayne and husband, Bill Wilson of Winfield, Kan.; 23 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
The funeral was held at 10 a.m. on Monday, June 23 at the graveside in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery. The services were under the direction of the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay.

Juanita Joan Flanagan
Juanita Joan Flanagan, 88, Of Heavener, passed away Saturday, June 14, 2003, in Poteau. She was born April 26, 1915 in Magnum, Okla. to Worlie e and Creola McKenize. She worked for the Daily Oklahoman and was of the Presbyterian faith.
She was proceeded in death by her parents and husband James R. Flanagan.
She is survived by one daughter; Pat Stewart of Heavener; one brother; Bill (Buster) McKenzie of Booneville, Ark; two grandchildren, three great grandchildren and many other beloved family and friends.
Graveside services will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 16 at the Heavener Memorial Park in Heavener with the Rev. John Blue Officiating. Arraignments are under the direction of Grace Manor Funeral Home of Poteau.
