WILLIAM "BILL" LAWRENCE
William "Bill" Allen Lawrence, 72 year old former area resident, passed away Sunday, Oct. 12, 2003 at Sierra Nevada Memorial Hospital in Calif. following an extended illness.
Bill was born Sept. 3, 1931 in Oklahoma to Rufus Leman Lawrence and Mabel Claire (Pate) Lawrence. He was a retired High School Teacher who had taught for 38 years.
Surviving family members include: three daughters, Jerry Lyn Konner of Nevada City, Calif., Sharon Gensler and Lisa Ghariani both of Oklahoma City, Okla. and numerous other family members and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Fri., Oct. 17 at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
Viewing and visitation will be 9 a.m. to noon on Friday at the Turner Funeral Home in Jay. Services are entrusted to Turner Funeral Home of Jay.

DAVID L. LEACH
MULVANE, Kan. - David L. Leach, 49, Boeing Wichita employee, died Tuesday, April 22, 2003, at his home near Mulvane.
Born July 31, 1953 in Noel, Mo., Leach was the son of Virgil L. and Lillian A. (Linn) Leach. He married Connie Sue Riggs on October 19, 1972 in Arkansas City, Kan.
Survivors include his wife, Connie; daughter, Angie of Wichita, Kan.; son, Derek of Mulvane; parents, Virgil and Lillian of Grove, Okla.; brothers and sister-in-law, Danny of Miami, Okla., Gary and Judy of Douglass; grandmother, Francis Linn of Colcord, Okla.; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, LaVona Marsh of Wichita, Larry and Virginia Riggs, John and Nola Riggs, all of Ark City, Kan.; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
Following cremation, memorial services will be held on Monday, April 28, at 1 p.m., at New Heights Christian Fellowship in Derby, Kan. A memorial has been established with Hospice Care of Kansas. Arrangements provided by Smith Mortuary, Derby.

GARY WAYNE LEACH
ROSE HILL - Gary Wayne Leach, 48, of Rose Hill, Kan., died Dec. 14, 2003. Services 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 18, at Lakeview Funeral Home. The family will greet friends Thursday from 11 a.m. until the service hour at the funeral home.
Interment Lakeview Memorial Gardens. Gary was born Nov. 15, 1955 at Noel, Mo., the son of Virgil L. and Lillian Aline Linn Leach. He was a machinist at Cessna Aircraft in Wichita. He married Judith A. Dunegan on Feb. 1, 1973 in Wichita. She survives.
Other survivors include three children, Amy (Damon) Ramsey of Rose Hill and Jessica (Richard) Winger of Douglass, Wes Leach of Ft. Bragg, NC; two grandchildren, Camryn and Tristan Winger; a brother Dan Leach of Miami, Okla.; his parents Virgil and Lillian Leach of Grove, Okla.; grandmother, Frances Linn of Colcord, Okla. He was preceded in death by a brother, Dave Leach.

LEVI LEACH
LOCUST GROVE, Okla. - Funeral services for Levi Leach, 80, of Salina, Okla., will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 4, 2003, in the Key Funeral Home Chapel in Locust Grove. Reverend Sampson Leach will officiate and burial will follow in the Ross-Mayes Cemetery in Salina with services under the direction of the Key Funeral Home of Locust Grove.
Mr. Leach was born on April 13, 1922, in Locust Grove. He died on March 31, 2003, in Tulsa, Okla. The son of Dave and Lillie (Davis) Leach, he grew up and attended school in Rural Locust Grove. During his youth he joined the C.C. Camps. He entered the U.S. Army serving in the Cavalry as border patrol in Texas during WWII. He was married to Beatrice Adams in April of 1942 in Salina. He was employed by the KATY Railroad for eight years.
Levi also did construction work and was involved in the building of a lot of the plants in the Mid-America Industrial Park south of Pryor as a laborer, retiring in 1984. He was an avid fisherman and gardener. He was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include four sons, Carl Leach and wife, Lenora of San Antonio, Texas, Charles Leach and wife, Susan of Paron, Ark., Levi Marshall Leach and wife, Joann of Knoxville, Ky., and John Leach and wife, Vickie, of Jay, Okla.; three daughters, Levina Sue Lancaster and husband, Bob of Grove, Barbara Parish and husband, Johnny of Jay, Sharon Bacon Wise and husband, Terry of Grove; 29 grandchildren; nine brothers, Leonard Leach, Frank Leach and David Leach of Salina, Rev. Sampson Leach, Harlan Leach, Charlie Leach, Danny "PeeWee" Leach, all of Locust Grove, Robert Leach of Bartlesville, Okla., and Richard Leach of Locust Grove; four sisters, Alice Davidson of Ind., Wanda Phelan of Salina, Loretta Standingwater, Locust Grove, and Mina Johnson of Catoosa, Okla. He was preceded in death by two sons, one grandson, three brothers, one sister, and his parents.
The family will receive visitors from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m. Thursday evening, April 3, 2003, at the Key Funeral Home Chapel in Locust Grove.

O'REE JONES LIBBY
O'Ree Jones Libby, 98 year-old Grove resident, passed away Monday, November 24, 2003 at the Grove Nursing Center following an illness.
O'Ree was born November 1, 1905, in Chickasha, Indian Territory to Mac and Beulah McBurnett. She attended and graduated from Chickasha High School. She was a housewife and doll maker as well as a member of the Church of Christ, Grove, Okla.
O'Ree was first united in marriage to O.B. Jones in 1930. He preceded her in death in 1982. She moved from Siloam Springs, Ark. to Grove in 1986. O'Ree was united in marriage to Ray Libby in 1986.
Surviving family members include: her husband, Ray, of the home, one nephew, LeRoy Thompson and his wife Jane of Hinton, Okla., and close friends, Jim and Linda MacDonald of Grove, Okla.
Services will be held in the sanctuary of the Church of Christ, Grove at 3:00 p.m., Tuesday, November 25, 2003. Minister Doug Rainbolt will officiate. Interment will be at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, November 26 at Rose Hill cemeteryin Chickasha.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., Tuesday at the Church of Christ in Grove. Services are entrusted to Turner Funeral Chapel of Grove.

LELA LITTLE
JAY - Lela Little, 66, died Wednesday, April 23, 2003, at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Lela Little was born on September 12, 1936, in Chewey, Oklahoma, to Ralph Blue and Nancy (Hilderbrand) Swake. She worked in housekeeping for the Jay Hospital and later for Colcord Public School. She was a member of Pine Ridge Baptist Church.
Survivors include four children, Debra Gundlach of Broken Arrow, Kendall Little of Jay, Brad Little of Grove and Lark Woolman of Jay; four siblings, Cooney Swake of Grove, Jeff Swake of Colcord, Mary Morehead of Grove and Eula Buzzard of Cottage Grove, Oregon. Also surviving are fourteen grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, April 25, 2003, at Piney Baptist Church with Rev. Chester Crittenden officiating and Rev. Clifford Loftis assisting. Burial will follow at Piney Cemetery. Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. Thursday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma.

CLEO R. LINDERMAN
Miami - Cleo R. Linderman, lifetime resident of Miami, died at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center, Friday, Dec. 5, 2003, after a lengthy illness. she was 79. she was born Jan. 27, 1924 at Turkey Ford to Clarence and Agnes Turner Mathia.
She was a homemaker. She married Ed Linderman in 1971. He preceded her in death. She was of the Baptist faith. She is survived by a son and his wife, Troy and Sheila Ragsdale; two brothers, Louis "Red" Mathia, and Don Hogan, both of Miami; four grandchildren; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December, 8, at Howard Cemetery, with Rev. Jim Drake officiating. Visitation for family and friends will be from 4-6 p.m., Sunday at Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland. Arrangements will be provided by Adcock Funeral Home in Fairland.

CLEARA BERNICE LORIGO
Cleara Bernice Lorigo, 84, of Colcord, Oklahoma died December 2, 2003 at Hillcrest Medical Center, Tulsa, Oklahoma. Born February 28, 1919, in Crawford County, Arkansas, she was the daughter of Earl Maddin and Stella Cannalis Maddin. She was a licensed nursing home aid.
Survivors include three sons, Roy Price and Raymond Price, both of Colcord, Oklahoma, and Bill Price of California; on daughter, Phillis Williams of California; 10 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. , Friday December 5, at Muldrow Cemetery, Muldrow, Oklahoma. Visitation will be 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. Thursday, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

LINDA C. LONG
VINITA, Okla. - Linda Long, 58 year-old Vinita resident, passed away Tuesday, January 21, 2003, at Craig General Hospital, Vinita. Linda was born July 15, 1944 in Vinita to Albert and Ruth (Cass) Daniels. She was employed by Cinch Connectors for over 30 years and was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
Survivors include: three sons and daughters-in-law, Ray and Tammy Long, Kevin and Arlette Long, Darrell and Jackie Long, all of Vinita; two sisters and brothers- in-law, Judy and Charles Hankins of Vinita, Sharon Larson of Grove; a brother and sister-in-law, Floyd and Irene Daniels of El Paso, Texas; a sister-in-law, Belle Daniels of Vinita and numerous other relatives.
She was preceded in death by: her parents, Albert and Ruth Daniels; her husband, Clovis Long (July 14, 1988); and a brother, Louise Daniels. The family will receive friends Friday, January 24, from 6 to 8 p.m.
Services will be held Saturday, January 25, at 2 p.m., at the Luginbuel Chapel. Interment will follow at Ketchum Cemetery. Pastor Jack Frasier will be officiating.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Luginbuel Funeral Home of Vinita.

HOWARD O. LUPER
KANSAS, Okla. - Howard "Wog" O. Luper, 63 year old resident of Kansas, died January 20, 2003, at St. Francis Hospital, Tulsa, Okla. Born September 22, 1939 in Scraper, Okla., he was the son of Archie Luper and Lou Murphy Luper. He lived in Kansas since 1994 after moving from Tulsa. He was a retired floor covering contractor and was a veteran having served in the Army during peacetime. He was an active member of the Tulsa Area Leukemia Society and the First Baptist Church of Kansas. He felt his greatest accomplishment in life was his family. He married Janice Harris in Newton, Kan. in 1963.
Survivors include: his wife, Janice of the home; two sons, Howard Luper, Jr. of Claremore, Okla. and Waylon Luper of Catoosa, Okla.; two daughters Tina Clark of Middleburg, Okla. and Rebecca Sinor of Catoosa; 15 grandchildren; two brothers Stanley Luper and John Luper, both of Colcord, Okla.
Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m., Friday, January 24, at First Baptist Church, Kansas, with Rev. John Crowley officiating. Burial will follow at Kansas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

MAXINE D. LYLE
Maxine D. Lyle, 88, died Friday, June 20, 2003 at Grand Lake Villa. No services are planned at this time.
Maxine Lyle was born on February 8, 1915 in Des Moines, Iowa. She worked as a meat inspector during her lifetime. She moved to Grove in May from Columbia, S. C.
Survivors include one son, Irvin V. Lyle of Grove; three grandchildren, Mark Lyle of Tulsa, Travis Lyle and Josh Lyle both of Charlotte, N.C.; One great grandchild, Britney Lyle of Tulsa and friends, Lorraine and Pete Sewitt of Columbia, S.C. and Tida and Bud Prewitt of Va.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove.

JACK EDWARD LYNCH
Afton, Okla. - Jack Edward Lynch, 54, died Friday, December 5, 2003 at his residence in Afton. Jack Lynch was born on May 3, 1949 in Carnegie, Okla. to Edward Elmer and Dorothy Elizabeth (Keene) Lynch. He graduated from Carnegie High School in 1967. He worked as a carpenter for Tristacon in Anderson, Mo.
Survivors include his children, James Edward Lynch of Jay, Mathew Wayne Lynch of Cuba, Kans., Sheila Christine Dirichson of Mt. View, Okla., and Jeremy Blair Lynch of Vinita, Okla.; one brother, John Wilson Lynch of Carnegie, Okla.; and ten grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. , Wednesday, December 10 at Worley Luginbuel Chapel in Grove. Burial will follow at Southwest City Cemetery in Southwest City, Mo. Visitation will be from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home of Grove, Okla.

MABEL CARBON MAPES
Mabel Carbon Mapes, age 87, of LaCygne, Kansas formerly of Mound City, Kansas was born March 30, 1916 at Drexel, Mo. the daughter of Joseph Robert and Sarah Masterson Patterson. She passed away June 8, 2003 at the Olathe Medical Center.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Mound City.
Mabel was preceded in death by three husbands Murray White in 1944, Harold Carbon in 1970 and Earnest Mapes in 1994; two bothers Roy Patterson in 1941 and Robert E. Patterson in 1998, two sisters Lela Sanders in 1989 and Lena Neal in 1991. Survivors include one sister in law Elsie Patterson of LaCygne, Kan. and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be held 2 p.m., Tuesday, June 10 at the Coffel-Schneider Chapel in Mound City with interment in the Woodland Cemetery in Mound City. Family suggest contributions to the American Legion Auxiliary in Mound City.
