THEODORE "TED" V. NOBLITT
GROVE, Okla. - Theodore "Ted" Valentine Noblitt, 97, died Wednesday, March 24, 2004 at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Ted Noblitt was born on February 14, 1907 in Lively, Missouri to Dr. William Patterson and Anna Mary (Remling) Noblitt. He married Jewell Lucille Schaefer on August 21, 1927 in Sarcoxie, Mo. Ted was a successful farmer and raised black Angus cattle. He farmed until he was 80 years old. He owned the Phillips 66 service station in Sarcoxie, Mo. in the early 1930's. He was a past director of Oklahoma Farmers Union. Ted attended First Christian Church. He enjoyed square dancing.
Survivors include his daughter, Velma Cash and husband, Jack of Victoria, Tex.; seven grandchildren; and thirteen great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters.
Graveside services will be held a 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 26, 2004 at Sarcoxie Cemetery, Sarcoxie, Mo. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, March 30 at Honey Creek Retirement Village in Grove.

WILLIAM CHARLES REICHMAN
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - William Charles Reichman, 9, of Siloam Springs, Ark. died March 22, 2004 at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehab Center. Born, September 4, 1924, in Downsville, N.Y., he was the son of Frank Reichman and Lulu Constance Will Reichman. He was a 1952 graduate of Moody Bible Institute, Chicago, Ill. He was a World War II veteran, serving as a Sea Bee in the Unites States Navy. Mr. Reichman was the founding pastor of the Cedar Heights Bible Church in Diamond City, Ark. and served there from 1963 to 1989. He was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church of West Siloam Springs, Okla. Preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Waidler Reichman, and wife of 12 years, Helen Whitcomb Reichman.
Rev. Reichman was a very caring and giving person, active with the Youth Bible Camps and other Children's Misistries. He was Chaplain for the American Legion at Diamond City. Bill was active in scouting, a BSA Scoutmaster for Lead Hill Troop 153 and Camp Chaplain for Camp Orr. Rev. Reichman volunteered as a builder and maintenance man for Kingsway Christian Academy in Nassau, Bahamas. He also had a nursing home ministry and was a tutor for Dogwood Literacy Council of Siloam Springs.
Survivors include two sons, Dr. David Reichman and wife, Patricia of Gaithersburg, Md. and Rev. Jonathan Reichman and wife Cheryl of Tulsa, Okla.; seven daughters, Connie McKnight and husband Dr. William McKnight of Rogers, Ark.; Judith Reichman-Delaney of Milan, Mich., Sharon Brown and husband Alan of Walton, Ky., Linda Sale and husband Rev. John Sale of Valley Center, Calif., Becky Cooper and husband Randy of Manchester, Ill., Marcia Snediker and husband Steve of Siloam Springs, Ark., and Tena Reichman of Siloam Springs; two step-sons Russell Whitcomb of Grottoes, Va. and Lloyd Whitcomb of Siloam Springs, Ark.; two step-daughters, Ester Clark of Siloam Springs and Reatha Gayle Akers of Westville, Okla.; twenty-three grandchildren; one great grandchild; fifteen step grandchildren; three step great grandchildren; two brothers, Harold Reichman of Cody, Wyo. and Rev. Edwin Reichman of Tioga Falls, N.Y.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 25, at Wasson Funeral Home in Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Friday, March 26, at Bethel united Methodist Church in West Siloam Springs, Okla. with Rev. Joel Betow officiating. A second service will be held at 3:00 p.m. at Cedar Heights Bible Church in Diamond City, Ark. with Rev. John Sale, Pastor Earl Hedlund, and Mr. Dean Allen officiating. Burial will follow at Milan Cemetery in Lead Hill, Ark.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Wasson Funeral Home of Siloam Springs, Ark.

ELMO JESS BUTLER
1920 - 2004
GROVE, Okla. - Elmo Jess Butler, 83, died Monday, June 7, 2004 in Skiatook, Okla.
Elmo Butler was born on June 15, 1920 in Grove to James P. and Mae (Roberts) Butler, Jr. Elmo lived in Grove all his life at the old homestead. He married Doris Fields and from that union he had three children, Carol Ann Dixon, Elmo Larry Butler and Gary Lee Butler. Later in his life, he married Shirley, whom survives him. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in the 206 Combat Engineers and was decorated with 4 bronze stars and a good conduct medal. Elmo retired from F. F. Goodrich after 25 years. He loved farming and hunting, especially wolf hunting. He was a life member and past president of the Grove Round-up Club, a member of the American Legion and the VFW and attended Butler Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by a son, Elmo Larry Butler in 1968 in Viet Nam; daughter, Carol Ann Dixon in 2002; and great-grandson, Andy Murcek in 2002. He loved being with family and his many, many friends. He will be missed by all.
Survivors include one son, Gary Lee Butler of Skiatook,; one brother, Reverend John E. Butler and one sister, Louise Stevenson, both of Grove; six grandchildren, Raye Jean Allred, Cindy Murcek, Randy Dixon, Cari Butler Madden, Heather Butler Jolley and Ashley Butler and eleven great grandchildren.
Services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, June 10 at Butler Baptist Church with Reverend Dolphus Blevins officiating. Burial will follow at Olympus Cemetery. Visitation will be 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Wednesday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home. the funeral home has provided an on-line tribute. OLLIE FRANCINE CLEMMONS
1928 - 2004
GROVE, Okla. - Ollie Francine Clemmons, 76, died Monday, June 7, 2004 at Grand Lake Villa.
Ollie Clemmons was born on January 19, 1928 in Delaware county, Okla. to Claiborne Jackson and Hazel Fern (Saffel) Teel. She graduated from Jay High School in 1943. She married Robert Brown on January 20, 1946. She was subsequently married to George Clemmons who preceded her in death. Ollie owned Francine's Upholstery in Grove for many years. She was a member of Cornerstone Church. She played basketball and tennis and enjoyed all sports.
Survivors include four children, Dennis Brown and Dewayne Brown both of Grove, Billie Hendren of Bella Vista, Ark. and Fayrene Akin of Tulsa; two sisters, Betty Giles of Pryor, Okla. and Twilla Roberts of Lexington, Ken.; two brothers, Howard Teel of Grove and Marshall Teel of Jay; one step brother, Roy Medlin of Grove; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one brother, George Teel.
Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 9, 2004 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel in Grove. Burial followed at Southwest City Cemetery, Missouri.
Services were under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla.

CARL H. COOK
1916 - 2004
GROVE, Okla. - Carl H. Cook, 88, died Saturday, June 5, 2004 at Briarcliff Nursing Center in Tyler, Tex.
Carl Cook was born on January 24, 1916 in Burlington, Okla. to George and Emily Cook. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during WWII. He was united in marriage to Marie Meyer on November 5, 1938 in Cherokee, Okla. Mr. Cook owned and operated dairy farms in Independence, Kan. and Burlington, Okla. before retiring in 1969. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the VFW and the American Legion. Mr. & Mrs. Cook had been residents of Grove before moving to Tyler, Tex. in 2001.
Survivors include his wife, Marie of Tyler, Tex.; one daughter, Carlene Walker of Lakewood, Colo.; one son, Roger Cook of Tyler, Tex. and four grandchildren, Adrian Walker, Lisa Kramer, Kimberley Walker and Justin Cook.
He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Edward, two brothers and one sister.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2004 at Olympus Cemetery, Grove with Reverend Randy Hamill officiating.

EUGENE R. (GENE) CHANEY
1926-2004
Tulsa, Okla. - Eugene R. (Gene) Chaney, 77, went to be with his Heavenly Father on Saturday, June 5 in Tulsa, Okla. after an extended illness. He was born Oct. 5, 192 in Crowders Mtn., N.C. His parents, bother deceased, were Marcus Luther Chaney and Ethel Falls Chaney. He had five brothers, all who preceded him in death, and two sisters.
He was married on May 21, 1948 to Rachel Baumgardner of Belmont, N.C. They had two daughters, Julia Ann and Joy Caroline. Gene was employed by Wilson & Co. for 45 years. He was Director of Sales and was transferred from N.C. to Albert Lea, Minn., Chicago, Ill., Seaford, Del., Gainesville, Ga., and to Oklahoma City, Okla. He lived in Oklahoma City for 20 years. In 1990, Gene and Rachel retired at The Coves in Grand Lake of Bird Island, Okla.
Gene loved being near nature. His hobbies included fishing and wood working which was his greatest love. He enjoyed making things with his hands and many were recipients of his handiwork. He was a member of The First Baptist Church in Vinita, Okla. and served on the Finance Committee, House and Grounds Committee and was Director of the Adult 4 Sunday School Dept. He restored the original stained glass windows of the chapel and created a lasting memorial for all to enjoy. Her served on the Architectural Committee for the Homeowner's Asso. at The Coves. Gene loved people and he took great pleasure in doing things for them.
He is survived by his spouse of 56 years, two daughters, Julia Chaney of Edmond, Okla. and Joy Brooks of Longmont, Colo. and two sisters, Cora Lawrence of Bessemer City, N.C., and Marjorie Deaton of McConnells, S.C. He has six grandchildren, Aubry, Rachel, and Chelsea Benton of Edmond, Okla., Andrew and Clayton Brooks of Longmont, Colo. and Autumn Brooks of Edmond, Okla.
A service to celebrate his life will be held at First Baptist Church in Vinita, Okla. on Wed., at 2 p.m. with Dr. Larry Wallace and Dr. Henry Haynes leading the service. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to First Baptist Church, Vinita in his memory.
Services are entrusted to Burckhalter Funeral home of Vinita, Okla.

ELVAN WILSON ALLEN, SR.
1932 - 2004
SILOAM SPRINGS, Ark. - Elvan Wilson Allen, Sr., 72-year resident of Siloam Springs, Ark., died June 3, 2004, at his home. born May 24, 1932 in Delaware County, Okla., he was the son of Jesse Horton Allen and Blanche Mae Ellis Allen. He lived all his life in the Colcord and Siloam Springs area. Mr. Allen was an Army Veteran of the Korean and Vietnam wars. He retired from Gates Rubber Industries, Siloam Springs. He married Wanda Lucille Jones in Pineville, Mo., on March 7, 1952. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Jesse E. Allen and one granddaughter, Marlena Welch.
Survivors include his wife Wanda of the home; two sons, Elvan Wilson Allen Jr. and his wife, Reeva of Ringwood, Okla. and Jesse Eldon Allen and his wife, Joan of West Siloam Springs, Okla.; 11 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; two brothers, James E. Allen of Bentonville, Ark. and Kendall L. Allen of Siloam Springs; three sisters, Ozella Young of Tawakoni, Tex., Barbara Bryant of Emory, Tex. and Cathy Whipkey of Livermore, Calif.; numerous family and friends.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m., Monday, June 7, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs, with Brother Sam Andrews officiating. Burial will follow at Gentry Cemetery, Gentry, Ark. Visitation will be 4:30 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Sunday, June 6 at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs.
Arrangements are under the direction of Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark.

LLOYD "SPARKY" SPARKS
1956 - 2004
GROVE, Okla. - Lloyd "Sparky" Sparks of Ketchum died Thursday June 3, 2004 at the Integris Grove General Hospital. He was 47.
Sparky was born November 21, 1956 to Lloyd Albert Sparks Sr. and Betty Ilene Nicholson at Denver, Colo. He was working as a mechanic at Buddy's Small Engine in Grove. Sparky liked to fish, working on CB's and doing anything mechanical.
Survivors include two daughters, Brandi Rose Duykes of Grove and Misty Jo Sparks; two sisters, Jeanne Hamilton and husband, Robert of Chelsea and Sherry Alexander and husband, Harold; one brother, Gary Sparks and wife, Roxanne of Colorado; nieces and nephews include, Cindy Sardono, Mark Jones, David Alexander and Christy Alexander.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, June 8 at the Zena Cemetery. Family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Monday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

CHARLES "CHUCK" DALE TAYLOR
1958 - 2004
JAY, Okla. - Charles "Chuck" Dale Taylor, 46 year old Jay resident, passed away Friday, June 4, 2004 at his home.
Chuck was born March 23, 1958 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Curtis Taylor and Florence (Heck) Taylor. He was a graduate of Livingston High School in Livingston, Calif. and later attended Fresno State College for a short time. he was a maintenance man and supervisor by occupation. He moved to the Jay area in 1993 from Lincoln, Ark. and before that lived in Siloam Springs, Ark.
Chuck was united in marriage to Donna L. Adams on October 22, 1994 in Siloam Springs. She survives of the home. Additional surviving family members include his parents, one daughter, Amanda Taylor of Reedly, Calif.; two sons, Ryan Taylor of Reedly, Calif., Direk Adams of the home; two sisters, Lois Pace and husband, Kirk of Goodman, Mo. and Liz Taylor of Grove; two brothers, James Taylor of Colorado and Bobby Taylor of Grove; four grandchildren, Michael Jones III, Isaac Jones, Taylor Jones and Destiny Taylor. Also two special people he considered to be like sons, Thomas Taylor and James Brown as well as numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, sister in-laws and a host of friends.
Chuck was a loving husband, father, grandfather and son.
he was preceded in death by several aunts, uncles, cousins and his grandparents.
there will be a memorial visitation held from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Wednesday, June 9 at the Jay Community Center. Family and friends are invited to drop by and share memories.

KAREN STELZER
1958 - 2004
JAY, Okla. - Karen Stelzer, 46, of Jay, Okla. formerly of Guymon, Okla., passed away Wednesday morning June 2, 2004 at the Monroe Manor in Jay, where she had been a resident since 1980.
The daughter of Kenneth and Betty (Garrison) Stelzer she was born on April 28, 1958 in Guymon.
She is preceded in death by one sister, Ruth Ann Stelzer.
Survivors include her parents, Kenneth and Betty Stelzer of Jay and four brothers, Kenny and Carroll Stelzer both of Guymon, Don Stelzer of Neosho, Mo. and Ron Stelzer of Branson, Mo.
Graveside funeral services will be conducted Saturday afternoon June 5 at 1:00 p.m. in the Lutheran Cemetery, Guymon with Reverend Mark Wescoatt officiating. Services are under the direction of the Bunch - Roberts Funeral Home of Guymon.
