WANN, Okla. - Gary Lee Benbrook, 59, resident of Wann, Okla. and a former resident of Miami, and Grove, Okla. died Friday December 10, 2004 at 1:13 a.m. at his home in Wann, Okla. He was born May 7, 1945. Gary was a retired Miami Fire Fighter.
Visitation will be from 7-8:00 p.m., Monday, December 13, 2004 at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami, Okla.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 14, 2004 at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home in Miami, Okla.
Burial services will be at G.A.R. Cemetery in Miami, Okla.

MABLE J. ADKINS
1935-2004
AFTON, OKla. - Mable J. Adkins, 69, of Afton, Okla. died Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the Grove General Hospital in Grove, Okla. after an illness.
Ms. Adkins was born October 6, 1935 in Siloam Springs, Ark. to Mary (Smith) and Buck Adkins. She has lived in Afton most of her life. She was a homemaker and attended the Christian Church.
Survivors include: brother, Willie Adkins of Hutchinson, Kan.; sister, Marie Dickey of Afton, Okla.; and several beloved nieces and nephews.
She had four brothers and two sisters precede her in death. They were: brothers, Sam, Dan, Mutt, and Lyle Adkins; sisters, Maude Gordon, and Ilene Adkins.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday , December 11, 2004 at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Afton. Rev. Steve Jenks will officiate. Burial will be in the Mt. Hope Cemetery in Afton, Okla.

DON THOMAS BUTLER
1930-2004
LANGLEY, Okla. - Don Thomas Butler, passed from this life December 7, 2004 at his home in Langley, Okla. He was born July 23, 1930 in Bartlesville, Okla. to Luther Thomas Butler and Bess Bradbury Butler.
Don owned B and B Lumber Co., Butler Real Estate, and Okiebug Fishing Supply in Langley, Okla. He was a member of the Professional Bass Fishing Hall of Fame, International Freshwater Hall of Fame as a Legendary Angler, 1st member of the Bass Anglers Sportsman Society (BASS), and winner of 1972 Bassmasters Classic.
He was preceded in death by: parents, wife Lucia Eaton Butler; daughter, Kathryn Sue Butler; and son, Larry Alan Butler.
He is survived by: son, Tom Butler, Tulsa, Okla.; sister, Ann Robberson, Wyandotte, Okla.; seven grandchildren, and his best friend and angel, Myrna Stout.
Memorial services was at 11:00 a.m., Friday, December 10, 2004 at South Grand Lake Christian Church in Langley, Okla. Funeral services are under direction of Ninde Garden, Tulsa, Okla., (918)-742-5556.

BOBBIE BIGGERSTAFF
1930-2004
GROVE, Okla. - Bobbie L. Biggerstaff, 74, died December 7, 2004 at Grove General Hospital. He was born may 20, 1930 in Anthony, Kan., the son of C.D. and Geraldine Ranson Biggerstaff. He was a graduate of Medford High School in Medford, Okla. He was united in marriage to Doris F. Kane January 23, 1954 in Big Springs, Texas. Mr. Biggerstaff was a farmer and was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving in the Unites States Air Force. He was a member of the First Christian Church, Grove, Okla.
Survivors include his wife, Doris of the home; two sons, Dennis Biggerstaff of Tulsa and James Biggerstaff of Grove, Okla.; two daughters, Deborah Kane of Tillamook, Ore. and Brenda Echols of Turlock, Calif. ; eight grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services will be Wednesday December 8, 2004 at 1:30 p.m. at First Christian Church with Pastor Wayne Shaw officiating. Interment will follow later at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery, Leavenworth, Kan.

LOLA LOUISE REID
1943-2004
MIAMI, Okla. – Lola Louise Reid, 61, of Riverton, Kan., formerly of Miami, Okla. died Tuesday December 7, 2004 at her home after an illness.
Mrs. Reid was born November 11, 1943 in Noel, Mo. to Effie (Ross) and John Patrick. She lived in Miami for eighteen years before moving to Riverton two years ago. She was a retired clipper for the Outdoor Cap Co. in Miami and a homemaker.
Mrs. Reid attended the Riverton Friends Church, was a member of the Ladies Aux. and past president of the Fraternal Order of Eagles. She married Burl E. Reid on August 10, 1959 in Joplin, Mo. Burl preceded her in death on May 5, 2000. She had two brothers; John David (JD), Buster Patrick, and a sister, Inita Olson; who also preceded her.
Survivors include: daughter and husband; Brenda Fay and Troy Shallenburger of Riverton, Kan., three sisters; Gayle Stover of Joplin, Mo., Patty Myers of Neosho, Mo., Bonnie Anderson of Halma, Minn., granddaughter and husband; Kayla & David Kumbier of Joplin, Mo., and grandson; Tyler Shallenburger of Riverton, Kan.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Friday December 10, 2004 at the Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home in Miami. Wes Davis will officiate. Burial will be in the GAR Cemetery in Miami, Okla. under the direction of Guilford-Thomas Funeral Home.
The family will receive friends from 6-7 p.m., Thursday evening at the Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Audie Tash, Jimmy Lett, Fred Shallenburger, James Shallenburger, Mark Shallenburger, and Jimmy Hendry.

BRYAN L. LEE
1931 - 2004
NOWATA, Okla. - Funeral services for Bryan L. Lee will be held on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, in the First United Methodist Church at Nowata.
Lee was born December 10, 1931, in Commerce, Okla., to George W. and Mary Brown Lee. He moved to Nowata with his family in 1940. He graduated from Nowata High School in 1949, and in 1953 earned a degree in Banking and Finance from Oklahoma State University. He was a graduate of the School of Banking at University of Wisconsin at Madison. From 1953 to 1955, Lee served in the U.S. Army, serving in both the United States and in Paris, France. After an honorable discharge from the Army, he began his banking career at the First National Bank of Pawhuska. He later joined his father in working at the First National Bank of Nowata.
Bryan took his family owned bank into the computer age and initiated many new programs including automated teller operations and a drive-thru bank facility. He retired from now Regent Bank & Trust Co. in September 2000 and continued to serve as Chairman of the Board.
Bryan married Delphia Conner in 1957 in Bartlesville. They enjoyed 47 wonderful years together and had two children, B.C. Lee and Melissa Lee Richier and four grandchildren.
Bryan was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Nowata. He served on numerous civic and work-related boards, including the Lions Club, local board of directors of Jane Phillips Medical Center, the Nowata Historical Society, Nowata Chamber of Commerce, The American Red Cross, Boy Scouts of America, Tri-County Tech, Trustee of the Harmon Foundation, Board of Directors of Verd-Ark-Ca, Board of Directors of Banker’s Bank in Oklahoma City, State Bank of Seneca Missouri, and served many years as an active member of the Oklahoma Bankers Association.
Bryan was honored as the Nowata Area Man of the Year in 1996 and was delighted that his wife Delphia was selected as Woman of the Year at the same time. Bryan was a lifetime member of the Oklahoma State University Alumni Association and was a longtime season ticket holder. Bryan loved watching OSU sports tremendously--win or lose. He enjoyed traveling, spending time with his grandchildren and his annual trip to Canada with his fishing buddies.
Bryan is survived by his wife Delphia, son B.C. Lee and wife Tina of Tulsa and granddaughters Conor, Caroline and Caitlyn; and daughter Melissa Lee Richier and husband Chris of Pearl River, Louisiana and their son Alex. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother Bill Lee.
The Lee family requests that memorials in Bryan’s name be made to the Nowata City-County Library or the 10-33 Emergency Team.
Arrangements are under the direction of Benjamin Funeral Service in Nowata.

CAROLYN SLATE
1935 - 2004
GROVE, Okla. - Carolyn Slate, 69, died December 6, 2004. She was born on February 17, 1935 in Tulsa, Okla. She attended schools in Tulsa and graduated from Central High School in 1953.
Carolyn married Gordon Leroy Slate on December 2, 1955, and he survives, of the home. Survivors also include a daughter, Karen Younger and her husband Jack; granddaughter, Jessica Akins and her husband Bryan and their son Bryson; grandson Gillie; and a sister, Nancy Durbin and her husband Don and their children and grandchildren. At Carolyn’s request, no funeral services are planned.
Memorial contributions may be made to the American Lung Association in care of Ellis Family Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, OK 74344.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Family Funeral Home.

WALTER C. BOGGS
1935-2005
MIAMI, Okla. - Walter C. Boggs died on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at 1:11 a.m. at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center.
Walter was a laborer and did yard work for a landscaping service.
Services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2005 at 10:00 a.m. at the chapel of the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center, Miami, Okla.

MABEL QUEEN OWEN HANSON
1910-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Mabel Queen Owen Hanson departed this life on January 29, 2005 at Grove, Okla. She was 94 years old.
Mabel was born on July 1, 1910 at the Queen family farm near Mutual, in Woodward County, Okla. to Alvin Moxley and Lula Ellen Jividen Queen. She was named Alice Mabel at birth, and was later known as Mabel A.
Mabel married Raymond Earl Owen on May 1, 1927. Raymond and Mabel lived and worked in Woodward, Buffalo, Mooreland, and Vici, and Okla., finally settling in Woodward where their three sons; Loyd, Billy, and Jack were born.
The family later moved to Guymon and then to Claremore, Okla. where Mabel and Raymond retired from their food service business to a farm near Gravette, Ark., and later to a farm near Noel, Mo. They finally moved to Hough’s Acres, northeast of Grove, where in 1978, Raymond died.
On February 11, 1985, Fred Greenlee Hanson and Mabel A. Owen were married. They lived at the Hough’s Acres residence until April, 1996 and after that at Grand Lake Villa, Grove, Okla.
Mabel was preceded in death by her parents, Alvin and Lulu Queen; her husband, Raymond; her husband, Fred; her brothers; Perry, Geordia, and Alva Queen; her sister, Lucille McClellan; and her son, Billy.
Survivors include: two sons, ten grandchildren, twenty-five great grandchildren, and six great-great grandchildren.
Mabel was a member of the Elk River Baptist Church. She is interred at the Olympus Cemetery, Grove, Okla.

RUBY LUIDA MOTT
1916-2005
COLCORD, Okla. - Ruby Mott, 88 year old resident of Colcord, Okla. died Friday, February 4, 2005 in Siloam Springs.
Ruby was born on March 21, 1916 in Hennessey, Okla. She was the daughter of Charlie Miller and Bertha Powne 1 Miller. Ruby had lived in the Colcord, Okla. area fro the past 40 year. She was a homemaker and a member of Wimadausis Quilting Club. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband, Claud Mott and one daughter, Ruth Mae Jones.
Survivors include: her son, Floyd Mott of Colcord, Okla.; a daughter, Naomi Jean Howe of Elkhart, Kan., 10 grandchildren, and 21 great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Monday, February 7, 2005 from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 10, 2005 at Cordry-Gritz Funeral Home in Hennessey, Okla. Burial will follow in Hennessey.
