JAY, Okla. - Alice I. North, 67, died on Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Alice Imogene North was born on May 15, 1937 in Claremore, Okla. to William T. and Fanine (Woods) Craig. She graduated from Grove High School in 1956. Alice attended the Nazarene Church.
Survivors include: one brother, Larry Robert Craig of Jay; four sisters, Bonnie Hobbs and Nancy Shorter, both of Jay, Linda Mullin of Pryor, and Karen Smith of Dodge City, Kan., numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services were held on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. at Polson Cemetery with Rev. James R. Mullin officiating.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla.

ERNEST DWAIN VICE
1942-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Ernest Dwain Vice, 62, died Sunday, January 30, 2005 at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Dwain Vice was born on May 13, 1942 in Grove, Okla. to Dee and Utoka (Landrum) Vice. He married Judy Gail Ray on August 6, 1965 in Stillwell, Okla. Dwain was a teacher and coach until his retirement in 1997.
Survivors include: his wife, Judy; his mother, “Toke” Freeman of Grove; one son, Vance Ray Vice and wife, Carrey of Logan, Utah; and two grandchildren, Savannah Alexis Vice and Brock Vice.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 1, 2005 from 6-8 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at First Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Olympus Cemetery.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla.

DORIS MAXINE ARTZ
1917-2005
BARTLESVILLE, Okla. - Doris Maxine Artz, 87, of Bartlesville, died at 8 a.m. on Sunday at the Silver Lake Care Center in Bartlesville.
Graveside services for Mrs. Artz will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Memorial Park Cemetery in Bartlesville with Terry Long of the First Baptist Church officiating. Funeral services and interment will be under the direction of the Stumpff Funeral Home in Bartlesville.
The family suggests that memorial finds be sent to the charity of the donor’s choice.
Mrs. Artz was born on June 9, 1917 at Bartlesville to Fredrick Ralph and Jennie Mae (Spalding) Snell. She grew up in Bartlesville and graduated from Bartlesville High School in 1935. She was married to Seaton Artz on March 24, 1936. They were longtime residents of Bartlesville where they owned and operated The Sport Shop until 1966 when they moved to Grove. They operated the Seaton Artz Marina in the Grand lake area where they continued the Mercury Outboard Motor Dealership until Mr. Artz’s death on Jan. 13, 1982. Mrs. Artz continued her home at Grove until returning to Bartlesville in Jan. of 2004. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Grove, a member of the Grove General Hospital Auxiliary (the Cherry Red Organization) for 21 years, a member of the order of Eastern Star Chapter #209 at Grove, the Women of the Moose #1771 at Grove, the Prestige Club at Joplin, Mo., and in Bartlesville had belonged to the Credit Women’s Breakfast Club, the Pilot Club, and the Business Women’s Association
Mrs. Artz is survived by her three brothers, Robert “Bob” Snell of Bartlesville, G.W. “Bill” Snell of Bartlesville, and C.G. Snell of Aztec, New Mexico, two sisters, Bettie Higbee of Bartlesville and Pat Henderson of Sand Springs, and a number of nieces and nephews.

WES Randall “HAWK” PROCTOR
1985-2005
COLCORD, Okla. - Wes Randall “Hawk” Proctor, 19, of Colcord, Okla. died Sat., march 5 as the result of an automobile accident near Colcord. The son of Dallas and Sharon Leaf Proctor, he was born June 25, 1985 in Claremore, Okla. he was a graduate of Kansas High School in 2003 where he was a member of the basketball team. He represented Oklahoma in an international basketball tournament in Hawaii. he was recently employed in security for the United Keetoowah Band Casino. He was a member of the Keetoowah Nighthawk Society and attended the New Mission Church at Rocky Ford, Okla.
Survivors include his parents, Dallas and Sharon Proctor of the home, 3 brothers, Brian Proctor and Fonda Davis of Kenwood, Okla., Charles and Michelle Deason of Stilwell, Okla., and Tsa-li-di Sequoyah of Cherokee, N.C., 2 sisters, Traci and Ben Cummings of Oaks, Okla., and Shelly Ramsey of Tahlequah, maternal grandmother, Lorene Budder of Kenwood, 9 nieces and nephews and a sister-in-law, Phyllis Proctor. He was preceded in death by a son, Jordan Don Proctor, paternal grandparents, Rev. Daniel and Lucille Proctor, maternal grandfather, Archie Leaf and uncles Johnny Fred Leaf and Wesley Proctor.
Funeral services will be Tues., March 8 at 1 p.m. at the Kansas High School gym with Rev. Randall Cummings and Rev. Charles “Chuck” Glass officiating. Interment will follow in the Clouds Creek Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, from 6 to 8 p.m. on Mon., March 7.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.

Samuel Dewayne Creason
1972-2005
ROGERS, Ark. - Samuel Dewayne Creason, 32 year old Rogers, Ark. resident, passed away Thursday, March 3, 2005.
Samuel was born on October 11, 1972 in Sapulpa, Okla. to James Creason and Deborah Walters. He was self employed as a concrete contractor. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Rogers, Ark. Samuel was preceded in death by his father, James Creason.
Survivors include: his wife, Heather Joanne Hunter Creason of the home; one son, Joshua Hunter Creason of the home; mother, Deborah Triplett; and step-father, Carlos Triplett of Glenpool, Okla.; three brothers, Jeffrey Creason And Clayton Walters, both of Cincinatti, Ohio and Gary Kincaid of Sapulpa, Okla.; one sister, Carla Triplett of Sapulpa, Okla.; and his grandmother, Lucille Walter of Glenpool, Okla.
A Graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 8, 2005 at the Ketchum Cemetery in Ketchum, Okla.

LEONARD RUSSELL MORGAN
1948-2005
EUCHA, Okla. - Leonard Morgan, 56 of Eucha passed away March 3, 2005 at 3:00 a.m. in Joplin, Mo.
Leonard was born on May 1, 1948 in Maysville, Ark. to Bob and Goldie Morgan. A talented musician all his life, Leonard was always willing to play music whether it be for a living in his younger days or for fun with family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister Ruby, and 3 brothers; Bill, Gene, and Jack.
Survivors include: his daughter, Amanda; grandson, Kendall; sister, Georgia; brothers, Melvin and Johnnie, as well as many nieces and nephews and friends.
Graveside services will be held at 2:30 on Sunday, March 6, 2005 at Eucha Cemetery.

MaryJo Ann (Mason) Woolman
1945-2005
VINITA, Okla. - MaryJo Ann (Mason) Woolman, 59 of Vinita passed away early Tuesday morning March 1, 2005 at Craig General Hospital. MaryJo was born on July 2, 1945 in Waterloo, Iowa to John A. and Gwendolyn Lois (Master) Mason.
MaryJo worked as a caregiver with Bios of Bartlesville. She was a loving and caring mother to her children and grandchildren playing and taking care of them. MaryJo was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution.
MaryJo leaves as surviving her children; Doug Farley and wife Carlas of Cedar Raids, Iowa, Tiffany Neill and husband Jason of Vinita, Amanda Woolman and Justin Poe of Vinita. Five grandchildren; Douglas Farley III, Brandon Farley, Faith Swart, Gauge Poe and Nathaniel Neill. One bother John “Jack” Mason of Carpenterville, Iowa. Three sisters Beverly Wirt of Davenport, Iowa, Patricia Cox of Vinita, and Maryland Miller of Cedar Rapids, Iowa. And numerous nephews and a host of friends.
MaryJo was preceded in death by both her parents. One sister Phyllis Cornwell and one brother Jerry Mason.
The family will gather at Burckhalter Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6 to 7 p.m. to receive friends and relatives.
Graveside services will be held on Fri., March 4 at 2 p.m. at Pheasant Hill Cemetery with Dr. Larry Wallace officiating. Honorary casket bearers will be Douglas Farley III, Brandon Farley, Faith Swart, Gauge Poe and Nathaniel Neill.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home in Vinita.

ARTHUR CARLSON
1920-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Arthur Carlson, 84, died Monday, February 21, 2005 at Grove Nursing Center.
Arthur Carlson was born on December 12, 1920 in Muskogee, Okla. to Arthur J. and Wava R. (Summers) Carlson. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during World War II. Art married Patricia Rehr on March 27, 1980 in Jay, Okla. He was a Processor for Simmons Industries for ten years.
Survivors include: his wife, Patricia of Grove; three brothers, R.V. Carlson of Scottsdale, Ariz., Edwin Carlson of Tulsa, Okla., and Ralph Carlson of Las Vegas, Nev.; one sister, Norma Van Epps of Scottsdale.
Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove, Okla.

Dorthy Marie Hudson
1948-2005
Dorthy Marie Hudson, 56 year-old resident of Jay, Oklahoma, died February 27, 2005, at Grove Hospital, Grove, Oklahoma. Born August 14, 1948 in Gravette, Arkansas, she was the daughter of James Barrett and Margaret Destia McCammon Barrett. She was a poultry and beef farmer and a member of the Ladies Investment Club of Decatur, Arkansas. She married James Edward Hudson in Bentonville, Arkansas. Dorthy was preceded in death by her mother, one brother, Leroy Barrett and one sister-in-law, Connie Barrett.
Survivors include her husband of over 40 years, James of the home; her father, James Barrett of Gravette, Arkansas; one son, James L. Hudson and wife Lisa A. of Jay, Oklahoma; one daughter, Janna Marie Holcombe and husband Sean of Jay, Oklahoma; four grandchildren, Tristan Hudson, Trent Holcombe, Andy Holcombe, and Jeremiah Holcombe; three brothers, Clyde Barrett and wife Frances of Pryor, Oklahoma, Bill Barrett and wife Peggy, and Loyd Barrett, all of Gravette, Arkansas; two sisters, Kathryn Ramirez and Donna Anderson and husband Don, all of Gravette, Arkansas.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 2, 2005, at the First Christian Church, Gravette, Arkansas, with Dr. Bill Abernathy officiating. WALTER JESSE MEYERS
1926-2005
DISNEY, Okla. - Walter Jesse Meyers, 79 Disney, Oklahoma died on February 24, 2005. He was born in Chelsea on January 23, 1926 to Walter & Cricket (Shepard) Meyers. Walter married Maudie (Grunden) & they had 2 sons, Gary & Mike. Walter worked as a pipe fitter for Sun Oil Company & retired after 26 years. In his retirement, Walter enjoyed fishing & playing bingo.
Walter is survived by his loving wife, Maudie of the home; sons, Gary & his wife Terry, Mike & his wife Louise; grandchildren, Heather, Dorothy, Alex Nick, Shena, Vicki, Tina; & great-grandchildren Kolby, Draven, Courtney, Latricia, Emilee, Alan, & Chelsea. Walter will be deeply missed by those who knew & loved him.
A private family memorial service was held Monday afternoon. Arrangements were by Luginbuelis South Grand Lake Funeral Home.
