BEATRICE POWERS MITCHELL
1915-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Beatrice Powers Mitchell, 89 year old Grove, Okla. resident, passed away Sunday, February 27, 2005 at the Grove Nursing Center in Grove following an extended illness.
Beatrice was born on April 13, 1915 in Rose, Okla. to John Powers and Mattie (Guinn) Powers. She attended Grove Public Schools. She was a homemaker.
Beatrice was united in marriage to Leonard Mitchell on January 23, 1933 in Pineville, Mo.
Beatrice was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Leonard, one sister, Jessie Feilds and one brother, Frank Powers.
Survivors include: two daughters, Eunice M. Dresser of Monterey Park, Calif., Virgie J. Conner of Huntington Beach, Calif.; one son, H.L. "Skip" Mitchell of Grove, Okla., one sister, Ruby M. Martin of Grove, Okla. and one brother, Joe Powers, of Wichita, Kan., ten grandchildren, twenty-one great grandchildren, and twenty-two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Thursday, March 3, 2005 at the Turner Funeral Chapel located at 722 N.W. 46th St. in Grove, Okla. Mr. Paul Erickson will officiate. Interment will be in Hickory Grove cemetery.

ETHAN RAY SHELBY
TODDLER
HACKETT, Ark. - Ethan Ray Shelby, 2, of Hackett, Ark. died Saturday, February 26, in Hackett, Ark.
Survivors include: parents, Steven and Heather Shelby of the home; sisters, Brooklyn Moir, Makaylia Shelby and Alyshia Shelby, all of the home; one brother, Gavin Allen of the home; paternal grandparents, Ralph and Willa Mae Shelby of Grove, Okla.; maternal grandparents, Gary and Victoria Ramsey of Van Buran, Ark.; maternal great grandmother, JoAnn Jones of Waldron, Ark.
Viewing will be from 1:00 to 9:00 p.m. on Tuesday, March 2 at the Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 in Greenwood, Ark. with burial at Pilot Prairie Cemetery in Waldron, Ark.
Pallbearers will be Alex Patton, James Lewis, David Shores, Don Pollock and Charley Patton.
Services are under the direction of McConnell Funeral Home in Greenwood, Ark.

MARVIN B. TUNNEL
1919-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Marvin B. Tunnel, 86, died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at Integris Grove General Hospital. The son of Iley B. and Nellie May (Taffner) Tunnel, he was born on February 16, 1919 in Miami, Okla. He married Lora Johnson. Marvin owned Marvin's Paint and Body Shop in Miami until his retirement in 1986. He was an elder at the First Christian Church in Miami, and a member of the American Legion and VFW in Miami.
Survivors include: his wife, Lora of Grove; his children, Marvin J. Tunnell and wife, JAckie, Sherry Ann Rollins and husband Jim, John L. Tunnell and wife, Lawrie; one sister, Pauline Barner; eight grandchildren, nineteen great grandchildren
Visitation will be at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday and 9:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2-3, 2005. Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, March 2, 2005 at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel with Leon Weece officiating. Burial will follow at Buzzard Cemetery.
Memorial contributions maybe made to First Christian Church in Miami, Okla. Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove, Okla.

Robert T. Jones
1944-2005
MIAMI, OK - Robert T. Jones, Miami resident, died at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami Monday, March 21 after an illness. He was 61.
He was born at Los Alamos, Colorado, on January 24, 1944 to Ralph W. and Juanita (Hillard) Jones. He worked as a self-employed OTR truck driver. He married Lois Taylor on April 6, 1980 at Reno, Nevada. She survives of the home. They moved to Miami in 1994 from Loveland, CO. He was of the Baptist faith.
Other survivors include a son, Daryl Jones, of Tulsa; four daughters, Kathryn Miller of Orlando, FL, Diane Libbrecht of Lakewood, CA, DeAnn Watson of Fountain Valley, CA, and Elizabeth Bates of Miami, OK; a sister, Betty Hooper, of Sacramento, CA. He also had ten grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his parents and a brother, Charles Jones.
No service is planned, and the body has been cremated.

Henry G. Victor
1917-2005
MIAMI, OK - Henry G. Victor, 87, of Miami, died at 11:25 PM on Saturday, March 19. His services will be 10 AM Wednesday, March 23 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami. The visitation will be from 6:30 to 7:30 PM Tuesday, March 22 at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home Chapel in Miami. Burial will be at Mount Hope Cemetary in Afton. Victor was a farmer and rancher.

EVELYN BERNICE GRAVES
1948-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Evelyn Bernice Graves, a longtime Grove resident, passed away March 16, 2005 in Tulsa, Oklahoma at the age of 56. Evelyn was born May 17, 1948 in Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Evelyn Graves was a little 99-pound Arkansas girl who became a “giant” in the heart’s of family and friends. She was known as “the prettiest girl in 16 counties.”
Evelyn was the wife of Rusty Graves for forty-one years. She was the daughter of Johnny and Geneva Janes. She was the sister of Bobby and Raymond Janes, Eva Chenoweth, and Gerry Jones. Her children are Rhonda Coats and husband Cliff and Steve Graves and wife Mae. Her grandchildren are Tara and Chelsea Coats, Michelle and Joshua Johnson Graves, Lorne and Emma Hintz Graves and Britney and Michael Graves.
Evelyn attended High School in Siloam Springs, Ark. and also attended Admiral Beauty College. She later attended Rhema Bible Training Center and the School of Divine Strategies. She was a member of Christ the King Citi Church and a faithful minister of the Gospel. She left a huge impact on many lives.
Though she fought many battles in her life, she will be remembered as an “over comer” who “fought the good fight of faith”. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
Services will be held 11:00 am Monday, March 21, 2004 at Christ the King Citi Church, Tulsa, OK. With interment in the Martin Cemetery, outside of Siloam Springs, Ark.

RUBY M. MOOI
1923-2005
MIAMI, Okla. - Ruby M. Mooi, resident of Miami, died at Osborne Care and Rehab Center, Sun. March 13 after a lengthy illness. She was 81. Mrs. Mooi was born Oct. 7, 1923, at Afton, Okla. to Bart and Maude (Parks) Ingram. She had worked in the laundry and dry cleaning business. She married Herman Mooi in 1942 and made her home in Gary, Ind., until 1985, when she moved to Miami.
She had been a member of the Miami Rebekah Lodge, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Miami.
She is survived by a brother, Lawrence M. Ingram of Miami, three sisters, Anna Brumback of Miami, Mickey Taylor of Afton, and Clara Schaffer of Vinita, and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded by three brothers, Hubert Ingram, Eppy Ingram, and Gordon Ingram, and a sister, Opal Bryant.
A funeral will be conducted at 5 p.m., Wed., March 16 at Adcock Funeral Home Chapel in Afton, with Rev. Jo Ann Robinson officiating.
A private burial will be at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens in Schererville, Ind. A visitation for family and friends will be after the service.
Arrangements provided by Adcock Funeral Home in Afton.

MELVIN L. MORGAN
1934-2005
JAY, Okla. - Melvin L. Morgan, 70, died Wed., March 16 at his residence near Jay.
Melvin Leon Morgan was born on July 14, 1034 in Jay to Robert R. and Goldie S. (Jennings) Morgan. He married Shirley Jean Tanner on Nov. 5, 1952. Melvin worked as a carpenter.
Survivors include his wife, Shirley of Jay; children, Linda Dry of Jay, Pam Teague of Jay, Irene Snow of Arkansas City, Kan., Anthony Morgan of Jay, Cyndi Threlkeld of Grove, Barry Moulton of Jay, and Kenny Morgan of Jay; twenty-two grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by one son, Ronnie Morgan and one daughter, Kathy Robbins.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m., Sat., March 19 at Delaware Baptist Church with Rev. Gary Bishop officiating. Interment will follow at Zena Cemetery. Visitation will be at 6 p.m. Friday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.
Services are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.

INA MARJORIE SMITH
1909-2005
WEST SILOAM SPRINGS, Okla. - Ina Marjorie Smith, 95, of West Siloam Springs, passed away on Thurs., March 17 at the Quail Ridge Living Center in West Siloam Springs.
Ina was born June 9, 1909 in Coweta, Okla., the daughter of John and Elizabeth (Toothman) Holman. She married Homer P. Smith in Pryor, Okla., on Nov. 12, 1928. As a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in West Siloam Springs, she was active in the Women’s Missionary Union (WMU). Ina was also a member of Order of The Eastern Star Kansas, OK O.E.S. #480.
Survivors include: one son, Homer Lee Smith and wife Ina Mae, Colcord, Okla.; one daughter Elizabeth Conley and husband Doyle of Rose, Okla.; one brother, Johnny Holman, Locust Grove, Okla.; a sister-in-law, Mary Holman of Muskogee, Okla.; 6 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, and 14 great great grandchildren.
Ina was preceded in death by her parents, husband, 3 sisters and 5 brother.
Services for Mrs. Smith will be held at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel in Siloam Springs, Ark., on Sat., Mar. 19 at 2 p.m. The Rev. Brad Jinks and Past Grand Matron of the Eastern Star Wanda Kinbrell will officiate the service. Burial will be held at Hogan Cemetery in Locust Grove, Okla. under the direction of Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

PEGGY L. ABEL
1928 - 2005
MIAMI, Okla. - Peggy L Abel, 76, died Sun., March 13 at St. John’s Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo.
Ms. Abel was a retired purchasing deptment of B.F. Goodrich.
Services will be held Tues. March 15 at 10:30 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, Miami.
The body has been cremated.
Services are under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.
