BOB E. THURMAN
1944-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Bob E. Thurman passed into eternal rest Tuesday, November 29, 2005 in Grove, Oklahoma.
Bob was born February 6, 1944 in South East Missouri the son of Bud and Ethel “Hinkle” Thurman. He Owned and operated several services stations over the years, in Glenndale AZ, Prescott AZ, Arroyo Grade CA, and Red Bluff, CA. Bob also owned and operated for seven years, Thurman Tractor Supply Shop in Neosho, MO. Currently he owned and operated D & B Pawn in Grove, OK. He was a member of the 1st Lutheran Church in Neosho.
Bob married Dale Carol Brenner, October 28, 1970 in Winter Haven, CA and she survives.
Additional survivors include, one son, Robert Thurman, Neosho; two daughters, Betty Throneberry, Diamond, MO and Misty Johnson and husband Randy, Neosho; seven grandchildren, Sheldon Booyer, Whitney Booyer, Randy Johnson, Dylan Johnson, Laura Beth Thurman, Dana Thurman and Cameron Thurman; one great-grandson, Landon Booyer.
Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 3, 2005 at the Campbell-Biddlecome Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. James Schnackenberg officiating.
The body has been taken for cremation.

MIRIAM E. ULM
Miriam E. Ulm, 88 year old resident of Miami, Oklahoma passed away Sunday, November 13, 2005. She was a housewife-homemaker. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday November 19, at First United Methodist Church of Miami, OK.
Visitation will be Friday November 18, 2005 from 7 to 8 p.m. at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home Chapel of Miami, OK. Services provided by Glen-Abbey Cemetery Southeast of Miami, OK.

ARTIS ROY WIGGINS
1963-2005
Artis Roy Wiggins, 42 of Watts, Oklahoma passed away late Friday, November 18, 2005 at Washinton Reginoal Hostpital in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Artis was born on March 7, 1963 in Siloam Springs to Jack A. and Sylvia (Sherley) Wiggins. Artis was a painter. He was united in marriage to Brenda D. Cannady on August 7, 2004 at their home.
Artis leaves as surviving his wife Brenda of the home. Children; Tessa Kramer and husband Michael of Ramona, Cindy Wiggins of Kansas, OK., one grandson Bryer Kramer. Step-children; Betsy Burton and husband Anthony of Colcord, Gretchun Tacker of Colcord, Amanda Peak and husband Michael of Colcord, Jesse Ross of Kansas, OK., Howard Andrews, Jr. of Colcord. Three brothers; Darrell Wiggins, Kansas, OK. Johnny Wiggins of El Dorado, KS., Randy Wiggins of Kansas, OK., Four Sisters; Patricia McKinnon of Santa Anna, CA., Elnora Evans of Handy, AR., Darlene Jackson of Las Vegas, NV., Betty Ramsey of Oklahoma City, OK.
Artis was preceded in death by both of his parents, five brothers; Gary Wiggins, Jackie Wiggins, Don Wiggins, Don Wiggins, Leslie Dean Wiggins and one sister Mary Lou Wiggins.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 22, 2005 at thee Galilean Church in Kansas with Pastor Layton Reed officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Jerry Wiggins, Howard Wigginns, Mike Willard, Randy Jack Wiggins, Robbie Willard, Allan Martin and Troy Crites. Burial is to follow at the Kansas Cemetery.

Arrangements are under the direction of Turner Funeral Chapels of Jay.

ROBERT EUGENE “GENE” BRIXEY
1918-2005
JAY, Okla. – Robert Eugene “Gene” Brixey, 87, died Christmas Eve at Monroe Manor, Jay, Oklahoma.
Gene was born August 23, 1918 at Cleora, Oklahoma. His family moved to Jay, Oklahoma while Gene was quite young and he grew up in the Jay area. He moved to Wichita, Kansas and it was there he joined the U.S. Army during World War II. Gene returned to Wichita, working in the construction business as a concrete finisher for more than 40 years. He returned to the Jay area 25 years ago. Gene was a member of the Jay American Legion; a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and the Motorcycle Association.
Survivors include one brother, J. Crawford “J.C.” Brixey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma; one sister, Lorene Youngblood of Tulsa, Oklahoma; three nephews, Henry Brixey of Jay, Oklahoma, Jody Brixey of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and Kenneth Youngblood of Tulsa; two nieces, Sarah Hoklotubble & her husband, Eddie of Hawaii and Margaret Flanagan of Broken Arrow; and a friend, May Ann Campbell and her family of Jay. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 p.m., Thursday, December 29, 2005 at Zena Cemetery, Zena, Oklahoma. Visitation will be Wednesday, 6-7 p.m. at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home Chapel, Jay, Oklahoma. Services and interment are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay.

LOLA BEATRICE MATHIS
1909-2005
VINITA, Okla. – Lola Beatrice Mathis, 96 year-old long time Vinita resident, passed away Sunday morning, December 25, at Rosewood Terrace Nursing Home in Vinita.
Lola was born on June 14, 1909, at Salem, Mo., to Albert Green Hoodenpyle and Louisa (Leads) Hoodenpyle. She married Aaron V. Davis on January 26, 1926 at Vinita. Lola worked as a nurse’s aide. She loved her family, her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include: her daughter, Loraine Johnston, and husband, Oneil, of Vinita; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Albert; her son, Vester “Junior” Johnston; three sisters; two brothers; and one grandchild.
The family will receive friends at the Burckhalter Funeral Home from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m., Wednesday evening, December 28.
Graveside funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, December 29, at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita, with Pastor Marvin Cleveland officiating.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Burckhalter Funeral Home of Vinita.

PATRICIA McMULLIN
1928-2005
Patricia McMullin, 77, died Saturday, Dec. 24, 2005 at St. John's Regional Medical Center in Joplin, MO. Funeral services will be Tuesday, Dec. 27, 2005 at 2 p.m. at the First Christian Church, Grove, OK with Dr. Wayne Shaw officiating. Interment will follow in the Olympus Cemetery.
The daughter of Robert and Lura Mae McKinnon Audrain, she was born Jan. 25, 1928 in Ottawa County, OK. She was united in marriage to John D. McMullin June 3, 1950 in Bentonville, AR. She was employed in payroll administration for the B.F. Goodrich Company in Miami until her retirement in 1986. She was a member of the First Christian Church and was a volunteer at the Integris Grove General Hospital serving since 1985.She loved the lake and enjoyed being outdoors.
Survivors include her husband, John of the home, a brother, Jim Audrain of Miami, OK, two nieces, Marcia Oberloh of Miami, OK and Patricia DeSilva of Bixby, OK. There are two great-nephews, Bryan Cantwell and Brad Cantwell, one great-niece, Kristen DeSilva. Mrs. McMullin was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Renee Mailes.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, OK 74344. 918-786-5172.

KAREN SUE NICHOLS
1948-2005
MIAMI, Okla. – Karen Sue Nichols, 57, of Miami, passed away Saturday, December 24, at Integris Baptist Regional Hospital in Miami. Karen was born on July 26, 1948, in Miami to James and LaWanda (Stafford) Frost.
Karen was a registered nurse and loved collecting antiques, making arts and crafts and spending time with her grandchildren.
Karen is survived by: her children, David and Kim Bowen of Vinita, Shawn Altebaumer of Oklahoma City, Okla., Sherry McCall of Carl Junction, Mo., Becky Nichols of Joplin, Mo.; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Dick Frost of Moore, Okla., and Phillip Frost of League City, Texas; and a host of friends. Karen was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by a very special aunt, Shirley Nelson, of Miami.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 28, at 10 a.m., at the Craig County Baptist Church with Pastor Claud Strong officiating. Serving as casketbearers will be Jim Nichols, Zachary McCall, Steve Nelson, Chris Bowen, Brian Mayer, Dick Frost and Phillip Dodd. Burial is to follow at William’s Timberhill Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home of Vinita.

CODY TULLY
1987-2005
GROVE – Cody Tully, 18, the son of Mark and Vickie Brehmer, was born January 14, 1987, in Amarillo, Texas, and died December 23, 2005 as the result of an automobile accident.
Cody was a 2005 graduate of Grove High School where he was a member of the football, wrestling and track teams. Cody was attending Northeastern A & M College, Miami, Okla., where he was recruited to play football.
Survivors include: his guardians, Mark and Vickie Brehmer, of Grove; a brother, Timothy Tully, of Ft. Campbell, Ky.; a sister, Melissa Tully of Grove; and a step-brother, Jason Brehmer of Grove. A maternal grandmother, Naomi Meese of Amarillo, Texas, also survives him. His natural parents preceded him in death.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, December 28, 2005, at 2 p.m., at Cornerstone Church in Grove. The family will receive friends Tuesday, December 27, from 7 to 8 p.m., at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, 711 S. Main, Grove. Memorial contributions may be made to the Cody Tully Fund in care of the funeral home.

RUTH H. WALKER
1919-2005
MIAMI, Okla. - Ruth H. Walker of Miami died at 7:05 a.m., Saturday at the Eastwood Manor Nursing Center, Commerce after a long illness. She was 86.
Mrs. Walker was born October 21, 1919 to the late Hiram Rufus and Sarah Emma (Gordon) McBee and lived in the Miami area most all of her life. She had graduated from the Miami High School with the class of 1937.
She had managed the former Tastee-Freeze Drive-In for 5 years and had worked in the kitchen at the Integris Baptist Regional Health Center. She later retired from the Crown Furniture Company in Miami.
She was a member of the Miami Indian Tribe and a member of the Bethany Christian Church of Miami.
She married Lewis Robert “Bob” Walker on January 18, 1940 at Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He preceded her in death on December 26, 1968.
Survivors include a daughter Susan Jones of Miami; a son Lewis Robert Walker of North Miami; two sisters, Winona Weir and Imogene Marshall both of Miami; seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, December 28, 2005 at the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Barker officiating. Burial will follow in the Walker Cemetery west of Welch, Oklahoma under the direction of the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home of Miami. Pallbearers will be Jerry James, Nathan Jones, Brett Hayes, Dustin Hayes, Bob Walker, and Ronnie Walker.
The family will receive friends at the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home from 7:00 until 8:00 p.m., Tuesday, December 27, 2005.

RALPH E. ARNALL
1913-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Ralph E. Arnall 92, local land developer and resident of Grove for 52 years passed on Monday December 26, 2005 in Skiatook, Ok. where he has made his home for the past 4 years. Ralph was born October 16, 1913 in Tulsa, Ok. the son of Richard and Dara Arnall. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Winifred Harris. Ralph served his country in the United States Air Force during WWII stationed in England. Ralph greatly enjoyed shooting pool at the Senior Centers both at Skiatook, and Grove with “the guys” he considered his greatest friends.
Survivors include his wife Eileen (Kitty) Arnall of Skiatook, Ok. One step son Rick Holmes of Arizona. One step daughter Cindy Easky and husband Buster of Skiatook, Ok. He will be missed lovingly by his one step grandson Ross Easky, 5 of Skiatook. One sister, Opel Grammer, and one brother, Lloyd Arnall both of Tulsa. Many nieces and nephews.
Services were 10 a.m. Wednesday December 28, 2005 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove. Rev Marty Hughes to officiate. Interment was at the Olympus Cemetery in Grove with the Grove Veterans Ritual Team to conduct military rites.

BRENDA CAROL BEERS
1948-2005
JAY, Okla. – Brenda Carol Beers, 57, died Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at her home at Friendship Home, Jay, Oklahoma.
Brenda was born October 7, 1948 at Clarksville, Texas to Albert Ellis Beers and Ettie Mae (Weese) Beers. She grew up in Clarksville and came to Jay in the late 1980s. Brenda was a member of the Jay First Assembly of God and was a clerk/sorter for Friendship Home Resale Shop in Jay.
Survivors include one sister, Patsy Padgett of Boise, Idaho; one brother, James Beers and his wife, Bernice of Bogota, Texas; and several nieces and nephews, including Sonya Lawrence and her husband, Jerry of Siloam Springs, Arkansas. Brenda was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Ellisteen Bailey and a brother, John Everett Beers.
Services will be at 2 p.m., Friday, December 30, 2005 at First Assembly of God, Jay, Oklahoma. Committal service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, December 31, 2005 at Fairview Cemetery, Clarksville, Texas. Service and interment are under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay, Oklahoma. Friends may call until 5 p.m., Thursday at Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Jay and from noon-1:30 p.m. Friday at First Assembly of God.
