CHARLES RANDOLPH ALLTON
1919-2005
MIAMI, Okla. – Charles Randolph Allton, 86, of Miami, died Thursday, December 29, 2005, at his home in Miami. Born on June 25, 1919, Allton was a retired band builder for B.F. Goodrich in Miami.
Services were held at 10 a.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at Northwest Baptist Church, Miami. Burial followed at Glen Abbey Memorial Gardens, east of Miami.
Services were under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home.

C.W. “SONNY” ANSPAW
1938-2005
SALINA, Okla. - C.W. “Sonny” Anspaw, 67 of Salina was called to the Lord on Thursday, December 29, 2005 at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa with his family by his side. Sonny was born on August 12, 1938 in Hominy, Oklahoma to Walter and Sylvia (Corbell) Anspaw.
Sonny worked in maintenance for the Vinita Public Schools and retired in 2000. In his younger years he worked in the oil fields. In 1961 Sonny enlisted into the United States Army and served until 1963. Sonny enjoyed his retirement, he was an avid fisherman, boating, working in his yard and watching John Wayne movies with his dog, Peaches. On November 1, 1997 in Pryor, Sonny was united in marriage to Juanita L. Conley.
Sonny leaves as surviving his wife Juanita Anspaw of the home. One son Troy Anspaw and Renee of Broken Arrow. Four daughters; Lisa Goss and Owen of Vinita, Janelle Miller and Rusty of Vinita, Ciji Lambert and Jason of Vinita, Darcis Williams of Vinita. Three step-sons; DeWayne Conley and Ann of Gillette. WY., Jason Conley of Medford, OK., Justin Conley and Christy of Chelsea, OK. Eleven grandchildren and five step grandchildren. One Sister Arlene Wilson and Cletus of Cushion, OK. Special friends Wayne and Cora Kincaid, John and Vera Ross, Larry and Linda Hicks. And special sister-in-law Betty Hicks. Several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
Sonny was preceded in death by both of his parents, grand-parents, step-father, one sister and two grandchildren.
The family will gather at Turner Funeral Chapels in Langley Sunday, January 1, 2006 from 3 to 4 p.m. to receive friends and relatives.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 2, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Turner Funeral Chapel in Langley. Dr. Henry Haynes will be officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Mark Chamberlain, Joe Mitchell, Ralph Kinsley, Charlie Skinner, Charlie Wells, Wayne Kincaid Gerald Stephen and Roy Woolman. Burial is to follow at the Spavinaw-Strang Cemetery.
Services are entrusted to Turner Funeral Chapels of Langley.

GLYNDA KAY ALEXANDER
JAY, Okla. - Glynda Kay Alexander of Jay died September 29, 2005 of a sudden illness at Integris Grove General Hospital at the age of 41.
Glynda graduated from Winfield, Ks. High School in 1982 with top ten honors of her class. She spent a year between junior and senior year as American Foreign Exchange student in Panama. She attended Oklahoma State University, Coffeyville, Ks. Junior College and Independence, Ks. Business College.
Glynda was united in marriage to Mark Kuchma in 1987. They moved to Anaheim, Ca. They had one son, still born there and later divorced. She and Timothy Grady then had a daughter, Misty Aaron Grady in 1991. Glynda later moved to Elkin, N.C.
Glynda worked several jobs before moving to Jay, Ok. to be closer to her daughter. She was employed at Wal-Mart in Jay to the past two years, where she made many friends and enjoyed her job.
Glynda was baptized into Christ on February 1, 1981 at Eufaula, Ok. She attended the Church of Christ in Winfield, Ks. where she was a member for several years. She also attended the Southside Church of Christ in Jay. Glynda loved spending time with her daughter, reading, and working on the computer. She will be missed very much by all that new her.
Survivors include her parents of Jay. One daughter Misty Grady, 14 of the home. Two brothers: Kelley Alexander of Enid, Ok. and Galen Alexander of Lake City, Fl. One sister: Kathie Moore of Winfield, Ks. Several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services were 2 p.m. Monday October 3, 2005 at the Southside Church of Christ in Jay. Steve Stenzil officiated. Visitation was Sunday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay. Interment was at the Duffield Cemetery in Jay.

LONNIE DALE FISHER
1950-2006
DISNEY, Okla. – Lonnie Dale Fisher, 55, of Disney, passed away late Sunday night, January 1, at St. John’s Hospital in Tulsa, Okla. Lonnie was born on February 12, 1950, in Vinita, Okla., to Albert and Millie (Sparks) Fisher.
Lonnie was a carpenter, and loved working in his wood shop and spending time with his family. On April 12, 1994, Lonnie was united in marriage to Sharon S. Marshall.
Lonnie leaves as surviving: his wife, Sharon, of the home; children, Gus Fisher and wife Angel, of Jay, Gary Tuggle of Tulsa, Shelly Rogers and husband, Rick, of Peggs, Okla., Alicia Hasting of Adair, Okla., Janette Leaf and husband Paul of Salina, Okla., and Christy Rutter of Claremore, Okla.; 11 grandchildren, Stephanie, Rachelle, Amy, Nichole, Natalie, Natasha, Nesha, Brittney, Cole, Bailey, Weaver, Eli and Kalin; one great grandchild, Riley James Dale; brothers, Short Fisher and wife, Donna of Disney, Bob Fisher and wife Jean of Orlando, Fla.; three nieces and four nephews.
Lonnie was preceded in death by both of his parents.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2006, at 2 p.m., at Military Cemetery in Langley, Okla., with Bro. Tommy Hopper officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Keith Condray, Kenny Branstetter, Stewart Jeffers, Larry Schaller, Mike Martin and Jeff Weaver. Honorary bearer is Leroy Branstetter.
Services are entrusted to Turner Funeral Chapels of Langley.

CORA SHEEHAN GRAHAM
1915-2005
MIAMI, Okla. - Cora Sheehan Graham of Phoenix, Arizona, formerly of Miami, died at 4:00 a.m., Friday, January 06, 2006, after a short illness at Hospice of the Valley, Eckstein Center in Scottsdale, Arizona. She was 90.
Mrs. Graham was born November 12, 1915 to Lee and Ella Mayfield in Hickory Grove, Oklahoma.
Her careers included three years of teaching at the Hickory Grove School and over twenty years with the J.C. Penney’s store in Miami. She retired in 1978. Mrs. Graham was a member of the First Baptist Church of Miami
She married Joe D. Sheehan on June 23, 1938 at Columbus, Kansas, and moved to Miami the same year. He preceded her in death on March 29, 1990, she married Harley Graham on February 27, 1991 and he preceded her in death on April 27, 1996.
Survivors inclue two sons and their wives, Jerry and Kaye Sheehan of Garland, Texas, and John and Karen Sheehan of Katy, Texas, a daughter Connie Wilson, Phoenix, Az., three grandchildren Ed Weil II of Tempe, AZ. Chris Weil, Alameda, CA, and Ryan Wilson, Glendale, Az., a sister-in-law, Vivian Shewmake, Miami, two step-daughters, Joyce Hughes, Mesa, Az., and Sheila Dewitt, Idabel, Oklahoma, and one step-son Jim Graham, Miami, Oklahoma and their families, and numerous nephews and nieces.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday at the Fairland Cemetery with the Rev. Joe Don Olds officiating. Burial will be under the direction of the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home of Miami.
The family will receive friends at the Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home from 7 until 8 p.m., Tuesday evening.

OLIN H. GOKEY
1921-2005
MIAMI, Okla. – Olin H. Gokey, 84, of Miami, died Thursday, December 29, 2005, at Integris Baptist Regional Health Center in Miami.
Born in 1921, Gokey was a funeral director and embalmer.
Services were held on Monday, January 2, 2006, at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Miami. A rosary was held on Sunday, January 1, at the Quapaw Tribal Complex near Quapaw, Okla.
Burial was in Council House Cemetery, northeast of Grove, Okla.
Arrangements were under the direction of Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home of Miami.

TRAVIS LEE HALE
1982-2005
VINITA, Okla. - Travis Lee Hale, 23 of Vinita passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2005 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin. Travis was born on July 20, 1982 in Vinita to Roy J. and Patricia (Simpson) Hale.
Travis was an exterminator with Pratt Pest Control. He loved fishing, playing video games and spending time with his son. Travis was looking forward to the birth of his daughter.
Travis leaves as surviving his wife Ursula D. Buckallew-Hale and son Darren Lee Hale of the home. Mother Patty Grissom of Vinita, Father Roy J. Hale of Vinita. Grandparents; Calvin and Ruth Simpson of Vinita. Sister Lesa R. Hale of Vinita. Two brothers Chris W. Hale of El Paso, TX., Shawn M. Hale of Vinita. Aunts; Janell Rhodes and husband Carl, Pauline Jerger and husband Fred, Dorothy Epperson and Mary Hale. Uncles; Howard Simpson and wife Carolyn, Jess Hale and wife Jane, Richard Hale, Utah Hale and wife Loretta. Mother-in-law Linda G. Martin of Afton, Father-in-law John E. Buckallew of Afton. Brother-in-law Charlie T. Selsor and wife Dawn. Sister-in-law Charlotta Wyrick and husband Benjamin. Six nephews Austin, Andrew, Aaron, A.J., Daley and Cody.
Travis was preceded in death by his grandfather Ted Hale and grandmother Iva Cook Hale.
The family will gather at Burckhalter Funeral Home on Thursday evening from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. to receive friends and relatives.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, December 30, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at Burckhalter Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bobby Whitchurch officiating. Serving as casket bearers will be Kevin Hale, Justin Hale, Sam Azarian, Charlie Selsor, Tim Mock and Josh Carlton. Burial is to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Vinita.
Arrangements are under the direction of Burckhalter Funeral Home of Vinita.

Ruby Grace (Parmley) Herndon
1938-2005
KANSAS, Okla. - Ruby Grace (Parmley) Herndon was born April 17, 1938, in Tuolumne, Calif., to William Lloyd and Goldie Mae Parmley. She departed this life on Friday, December 30, 2005, in Kansas, Okla., at the age of 67 years, 8 months, and 13 days.
Ruby taught grade school at Oaks for 21 years. She did her intern teaching at Kenwood. Ruby was charter president in 1980 of the American Legion Auxiliary unit #45 at Kansas, Okla. She also served as secretary and treasurer other years. She was a board member of Louis Sullivan Auxiliary unit #182 at Pryor, Okla.
Ruby was a cattlewoman. She loved her cows having named each one at birth and knew them all by name. Ruby also loved dancing with her brother Gene and waltzing with her friend Don Sievers.
Ruby is survived by: two sons, Larry Herndon and Billy Herndon, both of Kansas; one daughter, Marilyn Herndon of Kansas; two brothers, Gene Parmley of Salina, Okla., and Bobby Jenkins of Broken Arrow, Okla.; three sisters, Mary Ellen Taylor of Tulsa, Okla., Nancy Gibson of Tulsa, and Gail Fleming of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three grandchildren, Jennifer Swartouts and husband Austin of Bentonville, Ark., Nathan Herndon of Bentonville and Josh Herndon of Colcord, Okla.; three great grandchildren, Ashley, McKayley, and Casey Swartouts, all of Bentonville; other relatives and a host of friends.
She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Jimmie T. Herndon, Jr.; one sister, Betty Lou Snodgrass; and one son, Harold Gene Herndon.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Tuesday, January 3, 2006, at the First Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Okla. Reverend Utah Humphrey officiated with interment following at the McClain Cemetery in Locust Grove. Services were entrusted to the Locust Grove Funeral Home.

EVELYN JANE HERRINGTON
1936-2005
GROVE, Okla. - Evelyn Jane Herrington of Grove died Monday December 26, 2005 at St. Johns Regional Medical Center in Joplin, Mo. She was 69.
Jane was born January 19, 1936 at Delano, Ca. to George and Jeanie Franks. She married Robert Herrington August 11, 1951 at Reno, Nevada; he preceded her in death November 19, 2004. Jane has lived in the area since 2003 moving from Tulsa, Ok. and previously Castle Rock, Co. She worked at the Cherokee Ranch for 23 years at Castle Rock, Co. She enjoyed crappy fishing, cooking and sewing and especially her grandchildren.
Survivors include six children: Susan Rowin of Broken Arrow, Ok., Terry Herrington of Grove, Ok., Debbie Morgan of Collinsville, Ok., Larry Herrington of Castle Rock, Co, David Herington of Elizabeth, Co., and Tommy Herrington of Castle Rock, Co. One brother, Marvin Franks, two sisters Louise Franks and Mary Franks. Fourteen grandchildren, and twelve great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be 11 a.m. Friday December 30, 2005 at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.
