VELTA LEE WHITBY
1917-2006
KANSAS, Okla. – Velta Lee Whitby, 88-year-old resident of Kansas, died Saturday, January 7, at Siloam Springs Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born July 27, 1917, in Oaks, Okla., she was the daughter of Joseph Sisk and Pearl Crone Sisk. Velta had lived in Kansas for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and a diary farmer. Velta worked on the family ranch with her husband, Roy “Slim” Whitby, whom she married January 5, 1935. She enjoyed listening to blue grass music, sewing and cooking. Velta was a long time member of the Kansas Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by: her husband; parents; sister, Velma; brother, Vivan; and granddaughter Gwen Valdeck.
Survivors include: step-son, Lyle Whitby and wife Darlene of Sedalia, Colo.; stepdaughters, June Tullos of Sedalia, Iris Rawls of Cripple Creek, Colo., Mary Ruth Valdeck and husband Jim of Aurora, Colo.; eight grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; a great-great granddaughter; cousins, Buena Ferguson Cashion of Siloam Springs, Ark., and LaVon Crone Webb of Tulsa, Okla.
Visitation will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesday, January 10, at Wasson Funeral Home, Siloam Springs, Ark. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, at Wasson Memorial Chapel, Siloam Springs. Burial will follow in Kansas Cemetery.

PERRY DeWAYNE “WAYNE” WILLIAMS
1954-2005
COLCORD, Okla. – Perry DeWayne “Wayne” Williams, 51 year-old resident of Colcord, died December 25, near Moriarty, N.M. Born July 23, 1954, in Stroud, Okla., he was the son of Perry Edward Williams and Norma Jean Hightower Williams.
He lived most of his life in Delaware County, Okla., and was a self-employed truck driver. He was a member of the Arkansas Chapter of Harley-Davidson Hog Club, and attended Galilean Church in Kansas, Okla. Wayne married Yolanda Joyce Douglas in Tulsa, Okla., on February 6, 1987.
Survivors include: his wife, Joyce, of the home; two daughters, Jody Neuenschander of High Point, N.C., and Misty Sohosky of Joplin, Mo.; five grandchildren; his parents, Perry E. and Norma Williams of Siloam Springs, Ark.; one sister, Jayne Galloway of West Siloam Springs, Okla.; and one brother, Larry Williams of West Siloam Springs.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Friday, December 30, at Galilean Church, with Pastor Leighton Reed officiating. Burial followed at Oak Hill Cemetery, Siloam Springs.

CAROLYN SUE WILLIAMSON
1938-2006
GROVE, Okla. - Miss Carolyn Sue Williamson, 67, died Jan. 1, 2006 at the Grove Nursing Center. Funeral services will be Wed., Jan. 4, 2006 at the Ellis Funeral Home with Pastor Chester Crittenden officiating. Interment will follow in the Olympus cemetery. The family will receive friends at the Ellis Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, January 3.
The daughter of Bobby and Eunice Daughdrill Williamson, she was born Jan. 25, 1938 in Prentiss, Miss. She was employed as an accountant for the Boliver County, Miss. Head Start Program until her retirement in 1987. She had been a Grove resident since 1992 coming from Cleveland, Miss. She was a member of the Interstate Baptist Church in Cleveland, Miss.
Survivors include a sister, Emma Jean Caudill and her husband, Lloyd, of Grove; a brother, Billy Williamson and his wife Judy of Cleveland. Numerous nieces and nephews and her beloved pet, Waylon, also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, a stepfather, Marlin Bennett and an infant brother.
Arrangements are under the direction of Ellis Funeral Home of Grove.

CLYDE I. WOLFLEY
1927-2006
GROVE, Okla. – Clyde I. Wolfley, 78, died early Sunday morning, January 1, 2006 at Integris Grove General Hospital.
Clyde was born September 15, 1927 at Sterling, Illinois to Glen Wolfley and Helen Isenhart Wolfley. He grew up in Sterling and graduated high school there. Clyde went to college and later seminary at Naperville, Ill. It was there that he met Juanita E. Freudenstein. The couple wed on March 24, 1951 at Fish Creek, Wis. Clyde’s first ministry was at Winslow, Ill., and he ministered in several communities in southern and central Illinois for 30 years. Clyde retired from the ministry in Anna, Ill., where the Wolfley’s resided for 21 years. Clyde also drove the church bus and the adult education bus at Anna for several years. The couple had just moved to Grove this past December. Upon retirement, Clyde went back to school and became a CNA and traveled to Mexico five times as a missionary. He was a member of the Nazarene Church at Anna, and had been attending the Grove Nazarene Church.
Survivors include his wife, Juanita of the home; one daughter, Dawn Juanita Wolfley of Boise, Idaho; a son, Dana Wolfley and his wife, Tammy of Joplin, Mo.; one brother, Merle Wolfley and his wife, Lucy of Sterling, Ill.; two sisters, Lois Christians and her husband, Leslie of Mt. Morris, Ill. and Velma Randall and her husband, Al of Rock Falls, Ill.; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Clyde was preceded by his parents and a brother, Laverne Wolfley.
Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, January 6, 2006 at the Grove Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Phil Buck officiating. Interment will be in Olympus Cemetery under the direction of Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home, Grove. The family will received guests at the funeral home, Thursday, 6-8 p.m. and suggests friends give to the Nazarene Church or the charity of their choice in honor of Clyde.

HAROLD EUGENE HAPPY
1966-2006
COLCORD, Okla. – Harold Eugene Happy, 39, of Colcord, passed away Friday, January 27, 2006, near Moseley, Okla.
Harold was born on May 28, 1966, in Pomona, Calif., a son of William Eugene Happy and Linda Ruth Hudson Trollinger. Harold lived most of his life in the Siloam Springs area, being a 1985 graduate of the Siloam Springs High School. He married Candi Rena Henson on October 23, 1993 in Tonitown, Ark. He worked for Mid Continent Concrete for several years and was presently the office manager for M-S Concrete in West Siloam Springs. He enjoyed woodcrafts, building 18-wheeler models, working on cars, and spending time with his family.
He is survived by: his wife, Candi Happy, of the home; one son, Kenley Michael Happy, of the home; parents, Linda and Frank Trollinger, of Siloam Springs, Ark., and William “Bill” and Jan Happy, of Lincoln, Ark.; one brother, Paul and his wife Marla Happy, of Gentry, Ark.; one sister, Karla Happy, of Springdale, Ark.; half-brothers Steven Happy, of Chewey, Okla., Alex Happy of Lincoln, and David Farmer of Gravette, Ark.; a half-sister, Libby Happy of South Carolina; maternal grandmother, Cledith Hudson, of Farmington, Ark.; step-grandmother, Clara Elkins, of Fayetteville, Ark.; three nieces, two nephews, several aunts and uncles and numerous cousins.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, John Hudson, R.E. Happy, Lenora Happy and Lewis Trollinger.
Services were held on Monday, January 30, at 2 p.m., at the Backstrom-Pyeatte Chapel. Rev. Harold Thornton officiated. Burial was at the Johnson Cemetery in West Siloam Springs, under the direction of the Backstrom-Pyeatte Funeral Home of Siloam Springs.

HASKEL “H.C’ WIMBERLEY
1922-2006
JAY - Haskel Curtis Wimberley died Friday January 27, 2006 at the Monroe Manor Nursing Home in Jay, Okla. He was 83.
Haskel was born March 27, 1922 to Curtis and Nelvina (Inman) Wimberley at Montgomery, Mo. He served in the Unites States Army Air-Corps as an aircraft mechanic. After serving in the military he worked as an aircraft mechanic at McDonald-Douglas in St. Louise, Mo. He also owned Poindexter’s Service Station in Jay for a few years. Haskel was a member of the Whitewater Baptist Church and enjoyed bowling, receiving many trophies. He married Pauline Wimberley Sept 15, 1943 at Neosho, Mo., having 62 wonderful years together. He was preceded in death by one son, Steve Wimberley, six brothers, and two sisters.
Survivors include: his wife Pauline Wimberley of Jay; four children, Larry Wimberley and wife Rhonda of Eucha, Okla., Marilyn Eberley and husband John of Jay, David Wimberley and wife Rebecca of Welch, Okla., and Jessie Wimberley and wife Shirley of Grove, Okla.; two sisters, Tommie Bower and Barbara Blakely both of Springfield, Mo.; one brother, Don Wimberley of California; 15 grandchildren, and 23 great grandchildren with one more on the way.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m., Tuesday January 31, at the Buzzard Cemetery with David Wimberley officiating along with the Grove Veterans Ritual Team conducting military honors. Family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Monday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Grove.

BURHL FLOYD TRENARY
1907-2006
GROVE – Burhl Floyd Trenary, of Grove, died Sunday, January 29, 2006, at the Betty Ann Nursing Home. He was 98.
Burhl was born on October 27, 1907, in Grove, Okla. He attended Grove Public Schools and lived in Grove his entire life.
Burhl was married to Fannie Rhodes on October 29, 1927, in Grove, by Judge Platt. They had been married for 78 years.
Burhl had served on the Grove City Council in his younger days. He had been a member of the IOOF Lodge, and a Boy Scout leader for many years. He was a veteran of World War II, and a proud 61-year member of the American Legion. He worked for many years at the Grove Public School District. He loved being around children, and still would get down in the floor and play with his young great-grandchildren.
Survivors include: one daughter, Burhlene Trotter of Tulsa, Okla.; two sons, Bill and his wife Linda Trenary, of Grove, and G.W. and his wife Judy Trenary of Miami, Okla.
Burhl had 12 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Burhl was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Joan Kellenberger, two grandsons Brent Trenary and Keith Kellenberger, and one great-granddaughter Shea Farquhar.
There will be a graveside funeral at 3 p.m., Tuesday, January 31, at the Buzzard Cemetery just north of Grove on U.S. Hwy. 59. Pallbearers will be B.W. Trenary, Logan Johnson, Will Corporon, Travis Corporon, Kerry Heid and Andy Harp.
Burhl, the patriarch of the Trenary family, will be missed by all. Burhl always had a smile and enjoyed visiting with people. The family suggests memorials be made to the Akdar Shrine Transportation Fund, 2808 S. Sheridan Rd., Tulsa, OK 74129-1014.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Funeral Home, Grove.

ROBERT “BOB” RAY KILMAN
1938-2006
MIAMI, Okla. – Robert “Bob” Ray Kilman, 67, of Miami, died on Thursday, January 26, at Miami.
He was an educator at Ft. Hays State University in Hays, Kan., and a media specialist at Northeastern A&M College in Miami.
Services will be held on Tuesday, January 31, at 10:30 a.m., at the First United Methodist Church in Miami.
Visitation will be held on Monday, January 30, from 7 to 8 p.m., at Cooper-Althouse Funeral Home, Miami.
Burial will take place at Highland Cemetery in Iola, Kan.

JUNIOR COBLE
1932-2006
JAY, Okla. - Roy Junior Coble of Jay went to be with his Lord Monday January 23, 2006 at his home in Jay. He was 73.
Junior was born October 6, 1932 to Roy Perry and Grace Irene (Earp) Coble at Beaty Creek in Jay. He was a life-long resident of the Jay area and a member of the Faith Mission Church.
Junior married Helen Kirby in December of 1960. She preceded him in death on February 20, 1999. He married Pat (Tanner) Orr in March of 2004. She survives. He is also survived by: one daughter and son-in-law, Wanda and Bill Barnwell of Jay; one son, Kirby Coble of Ketchum, Okla.; six grandchildren, Heather Barnwell, Brenna Barnwell, Cade Coble, and Kash Coble all of Jay, Hidee Duncan of Gravette, Ark., and Heather Brown of Hiwasse, Ark.; three great grandchildren, Chloee and Carlee Duncan of Gravette, and Grayson Brown of Hiwasse; two step-daughters, Denise Huebert of Wichita, Kan. and Tina Kurtz of Arlington, Texas; four step grandchildren, Casey and Joseph Kurtz of Arlington, and Alissa Tiera of Wichita, Kan.; two sisters, Irene Abercrombie of Jay and Louise Murphy of Wagner, Okla.; three brothers, Dave Coble and Joe Coble of Jay, and Norman Coble of Byron, Minn.; numerous nieces and nephews.
Junior enjoyed a full life and worked as a plumber and carpenter. He worked the last 16 years for Delaware County Solid Waste. He loved his family, his friends, and his church. He enjoyed making pies for any benefits in town or anyone he thought needed one. Junior loved nothing better than going hunting with his best friend of over 40 years, Warren Shackelford. He was a wonderful husband, father, brother, friend, and “Poppy” to many people. He will be greatly missed.
Services will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, January 26, at the Mt. Hermon Church in Jay with Chester Crittenden officiating and Warren Shackelford assisting. Family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m., Wednesday at the Worley-Luginbuel Funeral Home in Jay. Interment will follow at the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.

J.R. ALEXANDER
1925-2006
JAY, Okla. - J. R. Alexander, 80, died Jan. 7, 2006 at Freeman Hospital in Joplin, Mo. Memorial services will be Tuesday, Jan. 10, 2006, 10:30 a.m. at the Community of Christ, Grove, Okla. with Elder Nolan Scarberry and Evangelist Bob Casino officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Community of Christ Oblation World Hunger Fund in care of Ellis Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, Okla. 74344.
J.R. was born Aug. 30, 1925 in Kansas City, Mo. the son of Thomas E. and Mary C. Hieronymus Alexander. He was united in marriage to Georgia M. Carson July 13, 1946 in Sedalia, Mo. He was employed as a master dental technician until his retirement in 2005. He served during WW II as a member of the United States Merchant Marines. J. R. was a member of the Community of Christ, Grove, Okla. where he served as an elder.
He enjoyed fishing, hunting and boating and loved being on the lake. It was very important to Mr. Alexander that at the time of his death he could be a connective tissue and organ donor.
Survivors include his wife Georgia of the home, two daughters, Linda Jane Seeley and her husband Jim of Huntington Beach, CA and Cathy Giles and her husband David of Lee’s Summit, Mo. A son, Rusty Alexander and his wife Linda Joan of Grove, Okla. Four grandchildren, Jason Seeley, Ben Seeley, Amanda Giles and Christopher Giles. Two brothers, David Alexander of the Kansas City, Mo. area and Ralph Alexander of Independence, Mo. Mr. Alexander was preceded in death by his parents and by two brothers, Dr. Robert Alexander and Wayne Alexander.
Services are entrusted to Ellis Funeral Home, 107 S. Broadway, Grove, Okla.
