Maria Viola Stotler
Maria Viola Stotler, 80, of Medford, died Tuesday (Dec. 17, 2002) at her home. No services are planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Howling Acres Wolf Sanctuary, P.O. Box 358, Williams, OR 97544.

She was born on Feb. 1, 1922, in Norfolk, Neb., a daughter of Clyde and Minnie Knott. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1996 from Scotts Mill, Ore.

Mrs. Stotler worked as a social worker in Multnomah County.

Survivors include a daughter, Jeanette Graham, of Medford; two sons, Bruce of Seattle, and Ken of Portland; and four grandchildren. She was preceded by a son, Gordon, in 1980.

Vivian Mildred Wilbanks
Vivian Mildred Wilbanks, 81, of Grants Pass, died Monday (Dec. 16, 2002) at her home. No services are planned.

Memorial contributions may be made to Lovejoy Hospice, 939 S.E. 8th St., Grants Pass, OR 97526.

She was born on July 4, 1921, in Weldona, Colo., a daughter of William and Mildred (Stuart) Maas. On Aug. 2, 1940, in Reno, Nev., she married Lewis Garfield Wilbanks, who preceded her in death. They moved to Grants Pass in 1971 from San Leandro, Calif.

Mrs. Wilbanks was a 1939 graduate of Berkeley High School.

She was a volunteer for the Grants Pass Craftsman for more than 10 years.

Mrs. Wilbanks worked as a product interviewer at political polls for 15 years in Calif., and was an artist.

She enjoyed needlecraft.

Survivors include two sons, Kenneth C., of Grants Pass and James L, of Fremont, Calif.; a daughter, Linda L. Fernandes, Grants Pass; a sister, Gladys Kane, Alameda, Calif.; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford

Frances Mullins
A memorial service for Frances Mullins will be at 11 a.m. Sunday, at Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford. The Rev. Jackie Brodsky will officiate. Inurnment will be at Eagle Point National cemetery. A reception will follow the service.

Mrs. Mullins, 82, of Medford, died Thursday (Dec. 19, 2002) at Providence Medford Medical Center.

She was born on Dec. 15, 1920, in Chicago, a daughter of Nathan and Esther (Jenowski) Reizer. On May 15, 1944, in San Rafael, Calif., she married Bill Mullins who survives. They moved to Medford in 2000 from Oceanside, Calif.

Mrs. Mullins worked in bookkeeping and accounting for the May Company in Calif., and in the business she owned with her husband, Bill’s Auto Upholstery.

She enjoyed knitting, reading and discussing politics and current events.

In addition to her husband survivors include a son, Steve, of Ashland; a daughter, Katherine, of Boulder, Colo.; a brother, Leon Reizer, of Tucson, Ariz.; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a sister, Florence Vegod.

Ryan Thomas Abbott
Ryan Thomas Abbott, 15, of Medford, died Thursday (Dec. 19, 2002) at Legacy Emanuel Hospital, Portland.

A private service will be held.

Ryan was born on Feb. 26, 1987 in Medford. He was a lifelong resident of the Rogue Valley.

He attended North Medford High School.

Ryan belonged to the Boy Scouts of America during his childhood, and was a avid Dallas Cowboys fan.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, skateboarding bicycle riding and video games.

Survivors include his mother, Judy Abbott and stepfather Les Higinbotham, of Medford; his father, David Abbot and stepmother Yvonne, of Medford; a sister, Jennifer Abbott; a half brother, Ian Abbott; a step brother, Robbie Higinbotham; and his grandparents, George and MaryAnn Kostick, of Central Point.

Arrangements: Omega Funeral & Cremation Services, Portland.

Jonathan Lee ‘Bobo’ Moore
A funeral for Jonathan Lee "Bobo" Moore, will be at 2 p.m. Monday, in the Hornbrook Grange Hall, Hornbrook, Calif. Pastor Furl Moore will officiate. Interment will be in Henley-Hornbrook cemetery.

Jonathan, 11, of Yreka (formerly of Jackson County) died Wednesday (Dec. 18, 2002) in Mercy Medical Center, Redding.

He was born on Sept. 7, 1991 in Yreka, Calif.

Jonathan attended the Gold Street School in Yreka.

Survivors include his parents, Michael and Sabrina Whitaker, Yreka; a brother, Anthony Mikal Whitaker; a sister, Savannah Michelle Whitaker; his grandparents, Furl and Ethel Moore, Hornbrook, Calif.; Robert and Barbara Whitaker, Yreka, and Ron and Carol Scheeler, of Ariz.; and a great-grandmother, June Moore of Hornbrook.

Arrangements: Girdner Funeral Chapel, Yreka.

William A. Scott III
William Alexander Scott, III, 71, of Medford, died Friday (Dec. 20, 2002) at his home. Arrangements will be announced by Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Gladys E. Sainz
Gladys E. Sainz, 95, of Medford, died Wednesday (Dec. 18, 2002) at her home. Arrangements will be announced by Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Richard McCune
Richard McCune, 62, of Medford, died Thursday, (Dec. 19, 2002) at a local foster home. Arrangements will be announced by Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford.

Larena M. Ford
Larena M. Ford, 76, of Medford, died Sunday (Dec. 15, 2002) at her home.
Arrangements will be announced by Conger Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Caroline Grace Loveness
Caroline Grace Loveness, 92, of Medford, died Thursday (Dec. 19, 2002) at her home. Arrangements will be announced by Conger-Morris Funeral Directors, Medford.

Charles O. Swingle
A memorial service for Charles O. Swingle will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday, May 9, 2005 at Talent Methodist Church, First and Wagner Street, Talent. William and Mary Ellen Hare will officiate assisted by Rev. William Saladin.

Mr. Swingle, 95, of Fern Valley (East of Phoenix, OR), died Wednesday (May 4, 2005) in Medford.

He was born on June 1, 1909 in Dudleyville, AZ, to Charles A and Grace J. Swingle. In 1924 he moved with his family to Fern Valley. He was a 1929 graduate of Phoenix High School. On June 1, 1938 in Fern Valley he married Alice Hensler who survives.

He and his brother Ralph owned and operated a farm specializing in pears and cattle.

Mr. Swingle was a member of the IOOF, he was on the SOS Board of Directors from 1954 to 1974 and he was on the Fern Valley School Board in the late 1940's.

He enjoyed rock hounding, lapidary and traveling.

In addition to his wife of nearly 68 years, Alice, survivors include two sons, Charles R. and Fred A.; and four grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Eleanor McPherson, and two brothers, Ralph and Cecil Swingle.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice.

You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb.

Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous--and how well I know it.

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. Psalm 139:13-14;16 (NLT) Luke William Pritchett, 5 month old son of Bill and Jessica passed away on May 2, 2005 in his mother's arms. Born on December 1, 2004.

Luke was well-loved for his 153 days by his Mommy and Daddy, his sisters Anna and Rebekah, and many family members and friends.

A memorial celebration will be held on Saturday, May 7th at 11 a.m. hosted by Bear Creek Church at St. Mary's School gymnasium, 816 Black Oak Drive in Medford. Come ready to thank the Lord and celebrate His grace. Bring your children and a hopeful heart (in casual dress)! We will enjoy a BBQ after the service.

Paul Edward McBeth
A memorial mass for Paul Edward McBeth will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, May 28, at St. Charles Catholic Church in Gold Beach.

Mr. McBeth, 73, of Gold Beach, (formerly of the Rogue Valley) died Feb. 8, 2005 at OHSU Hospital, with his loving family by his side.

He was born on Nov. 10, 1931 in Klamath CA to Charles and Adelaide Lind McBeth. On June 11, 1955, he married Eugena Merritt, who survives. They had four children who blessed them with nine grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Riley Creek School Science Club, 94350 6th Street, Gold Beach, OR 97444.

Aaron Michael Maldonado
Aaron Michael Maldonado, 36, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, May 1, 2005 at Three Rivers Community Hospital in Grants Pass. Arrangements are pending with Chapel of the Valley - L.B. Hall Funeral Home.

Anna H. Kimbrell
Anna H. Kimbrell, 86, formerly of Central Point, of Moniter, WA, died in Wenatchee, WA on May 2, 2005. A graveside service will be held May 19, at 11 a.m., at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Arrangements: Conger-Morris Central Point.

Deloris Pollard
Deloris Pollard, age 89, died May 4, 2005 in Medford. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Perl Funeral Home and Interment will be in Siskiyou Memorial Park.

Elma Dooms
Elma Dooms, 93, of Medford, died Tuesday (May 3, 2005) at her home. Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford.

Florence Breedlove
Florence Breredlove, 90, died Thursday (May 5, 2005) in Tacoma, Washington. Funeral services will be held at a later date. Interment will be in the Siskiyou Memorial Park. Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Katherine Rose
Katherine Rose, 44, of Medford, died Sunday (May 1, 2005) at Rogue Valley Medical Center. Arrangements: Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives, Medford.

Marian Olson
Marian Olson, age 52 (Sept. 26, 1952), died Wed. (May 4, 2005) at her home in Trail. She is survived by her husband Gary. Cremation is under the direction of Perl Funeral Home and Siskiyou Memorial Park.

Robert Dooms
Robert L. Dooms, 84, of Phoenix, died Wednesday (May 4, 2005) at the Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford. Arrangements: Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.

Theodore Nicholas Erwen, 71, of Medford, died Wednesday (May 4, 2005) at Providence Medford Medical Center. Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Theresa Cannon
Theresa Cannon, 88, of Grants Pass, died Thursday (May 5, 2005) at her home. Arrangements: Chapel of the Valley - L.B. Funeral Home, Grants Pass.
