Mae Bollinger

The funeral for Mae Bollinger will be 2 p.m. Thursday, April 10, 2003 at the Faith Tabernacle, Ashland. Interment will follow at Mountain View Cemetery, Ashland. Officiating will be pastor Curt Wine of the Faith Tabernacle.

Friends and family are invited to a visitation on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home in Ashland.

Mrs. Bollinger, 86, of Talent, died Thursday, April 3, 2003 at home. She was born July 23, 1916 at Fairfax, S.D., the daughter of Anna and Orlando Delaney. On December 26, 1935 at Butte, Nebraska she married Henry C. Bollinger, who preceded her in death in April of 1984.

Mrs. Bollinger moved to Ashland from Fairfax, S.D., in 1939 and has worked for 35 years for the Harry and David Corp. in the specialty division. She enjoyed bowling and working in her garden. She was a member of the Faith Tabernacle.

Surviving are: three daughters, Carol Atchley of Ashland, Bonnie Weber of Craig, Colo., and Pauline Cimfl of Medford; two sisters, Vida Beam of Merriman, Neb., and Dilas Hamilton of Spencer, Neb.; 22 grandchildren and 39 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, Dean Bollinger, and five brothers, and two sisters.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Asante Hospice, 2825 E. Barnett Road, Medford, Ore. 97504.

Funeral arrangements under the direction of Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory, Ashland.

Inez M. Norman

Inez M. Norman, 98, of Talent, died March 19, 2003 at her home. Survivors include: Her daughter, Mary Inez Orndoff of Talent; sister Valda Miller of Hermiston, Ore.; seven grandchildren and numerous great and great, great grandchildren.

The memorial service for Mrs. Norman will be held at noon, Saturday, April 5, 2003 at Clay Street Community Church located in Ashland.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory in Ashland.

Melvin L. Farber

Melvin L. Farber, 70, of Talent, died Friday, April 5, 2003 at his home.

A Committal Service with military honors will be held at 11 a.m.., Friday, April 11, 2003 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Chaplain Paul Hagedorn of Providence Home Care and Hospice will officiate.

Melvin L. Farber was born March 30, 1933 in Eureka, Calif., son of Melvin and Olive (Detillion) Farber. He moved to the Rogue Valley 12 years ago from Washington where he grew up. He entered the United States Navy in June of 1950. He served abroad the USS Blue DD744 as a ship's cook, third class. He saw action in Pusan Harbor and in Japan. Mr. Farber served with his two brothers, Donald and Darrell in the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in December of 1953. Following his military service, he went into logging and working in the sawmills. He later went to work in construction where he would be involved in the making of Interstate 5 between the California border and Roseburg.

He enjoyed fishing, wood carving and anything mechanical. He was a scoutmaster with Boy Scouts of America, a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and a member of different fishermen's guilds.

Survivors include his children, Marvin "Jack" Thornebrue (stepson) of Talent and Mike Farber (son) of Jacksonville, Fla.; sister, Inez Poe of Kenewick, Wash.; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by ywo brothers, Donald and Darrell Farber.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Rogue Valley Funeral Alternatives and Crematory.

Ferol W. Trimble

The graveside service for Ferol W. Trimble will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in Medford.

Mrs. Trimble, 93, of Talent, died Wednesday (April 9, 2003) at Linda Vista Care Center in Ashland.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 380 S.E. Spokane St., Suite 110, Portland, OR 97202.

She was born Ferol Fitzsimmons on Aug. 22, 1909, in Warren, Ark. On July 14, 1927, in Warren, Ark., she married Johnnie Green Trimble, who died in 1980.

Mrs. Trimble worked in a sawmill in Burney, Calif., during World War II. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1945 from Burney. She worked in the roses and packing department at Harry and David for several years.

She enjoyed reading, animals and gardening.

Survivors include two sons, Robert H., Medford, and John C., Bonita, Calif.; a daughter, Ethel Weinecke, Medford; 10 grandchildren; 15

great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Pearl Griffith and Evelyn Sierra; and one great- grandchild.

Arrangements: Memory Gardens Mortuary, Medford.

Margaret Reeve

Margaret Brabant Reeve, 102, died Thursday, April 10, 2003, at the Ashland Community Hospital.

Born in Marinette, Wisc. Feb. 19, 1901, she graduated in 1923 from the University of Wisconsin, where she met Edwin A. Reeve, whom she married in 1926. They lived in Chicago, where their two daughters were born: Joan Bennett, now Arvada, Colo. and Peggy Newman of Ashland. In 1951, they moved to Arizona and later to Escondido, Calif., where he died in 1955. She taught grade school in Escondido and nearby Vista before moving to Colorado.

In 2001, she enjoyed celebrating her life of 100 years with her entire family in Ashland, including 8 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. The family will gather at a later date for a memorial service in San Diego, Calif.

Contributions may be made to the youth programs of Our Lady of the Mountain Church in Ashland. As Mrs. Reeve was recognized in her wheelchair at most plays and concerts in Ashland, the family encourages support also for the performing arts at Ashland High School.

Harry Benjamin Cohen

The funeral service for Harry Benjamin Cohen will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, April 15, 2003, at the Havurah Shir Haddash, 185 N. Mountain Ave., Ashland. Rabbi David Zaslow will officiate. Interment will follow in Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland.

Those who wish may make memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society, 31 West Sixth St., Medford, Ore. 97501.

Mr. Cohen, 86, of Central Point, died Saturday, April 12, 2003, at the Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford.

He was born Dec. 2, 1916 at Brooklyn, N.Y. to David and Anna (Chernak) Cohen. On Oct. 29, 1938 at New York, N.Y., he married the former Helen Miller, who survives. They moved to Central Point in May of 2001 from San Mateo, Calif. He was a retired supermarket manager and was affiliated with the Boys Scouts of America.

Survivors in addition to his wife, include daughter Beverly DeLeonardis of Central Point; son, Edward J. Cohen of Canton, Miss.; brother, Philip Cohen of Law Vegas, Nev.; three grandchildren; and four great grandchildren.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory, Ashland.

Robin Sue Henagin

Robin Sue Henagin, 48, of Medford, died Friday, April 11, 2003, at Rogue Valley Medical Center, Medford.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, April 17, 2003 at the Cornerstone Christian Church, 608 N. Bartlett St., Medford. Private interment will be in Eagle Point National Cemetery.

She was born May 10, 1954 in Martinez, Calif., to James and Naomi Roby. Mrs. Henagin was very involved in singing from a very early age. She sang with the "Abundant Life Singers" at the Berean Christian High School, Walnut Creek, Calif., where she graduated in 1972. Recordings of her voice continue to bless family and friends.

She moved to the Rogue Valley early in 1988 and married Keith Gregory Henagin on July 8, 1988. Her work in the Rogue Valley included time for "Attaway," a local trucking company.

She had suffered for several years with symptoms of more than one disease. Everyone around her saw a friendly smile, a positive attitude and joy in her life that she derived from a strong faith in God.

Survivors include her husband Keith of Medford; two sons, Jeffrey and Daniel, both from White City; and a daughter, Angel, of Medford; a sister, Ellen Marie Bell of Bay Point, Calif.; and a brother, Gary Alan Roby of Medford.

Memorial contributions may be made to Cornerstone Christian Church, Inner City Ministry, 608 N. Bartlett St., Medford, Ore. 97501.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home and Crematory, Ashland.
