Robert D. Lampley, 59, of Central Point, died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, at his home. Arrangements by Conger-Morris Central Point Chapel.

Dorothy Louise Wright
Dorothy Louise Wright, 74, of White City, passed away on February 23, 2006 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Dorothy was born on March 7, 1931 in San Bernadino, CA. to Perry and Myrtle Heflin. She married Alan Wright on September 17, 1948 in Las Vegas, NV. She moved to White City in July of 2002.

Dorothy was a homemaker. She enjoyed fishing, pottery, and plastic canvas (needle point).

Dorothy is survived by: sons, Glenn Wright of La Pine, OR; Stan Wright of Gates, OR; and Edmund Wright of White City, OR; sisters, Charlotte Breeze of Phoenix, AZ; and Ida Stone of Riverside, CA; 11 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Alan Wright, and her daughter, Jeanette.

A service will be held on February 27, 2006 at Conger Morris, 715 W. Main St. in Medford, at 10:00 a.m. Officiating will be Mike Fieguth of Rogue River. A visitation will be held on February 26, 2006 from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held February 28, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. at the Baird Memorial Chapel in La Pine, OR.

Paul A. White Sr. 86, of Central Point, died Thursday, February 23, 2006 at his residence. Arrangements by Abbey Funeral.

Sanford Cox
Sanford Cox, 73, of Eagle Point, died Thursday, February 16, 2006 at his home. No services are planned. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Wanda M. Smith
Wanda M. Smith, 84, of Medford, died Thursday, February 23, 2006 in Medford. Arrangements by Conger-Morris Funeral Directors of Medford.

Linda S. Madruga
Linda S. Madruga, 56, died Saturday, May 22, 2004 at her home in Ashland, OR.

Memorial services will be at the Four Square Gospel Church in Ashland, on Tuesday, May 25, at noon. In Lieu of flowers, please make a donation to your place of worship.

Linda was born on November 13, 1947 in Illinois; one of three children born to Richard and Ethel Ryan. She is survived by her spouse, Anthony Madruga, daughter, Michele Ehlers, sister Debra Ryan, brother, Richard Ryan, grandson, Richard Ehlers (19-months), with a second grandson due to arrive in August.

Mable I. Snyder
Mable I. Snyder, beloved wife, mother and grandmother passed away peacefully at her home in Medford on Sunday, May 16th, surrounded by family.

Mable was born at Lorane, Oregon on February 22, 1923 to Edgar and Addie Drew.

Mable graduated from Lorane High School in 1940. On October 5th, 1941 she married her high school music teacher and they moved to Rogue River where he taught at RR high school for 7 months. They then moved to Lebanon where she resided with her in-laws while her husband served in the U.S. Navy as a musician for 3-1/2 years. She was a nurse's aide at the Lebanon Community Hospital and also worked for a short time for the Crown Willamette Paper Co. In 1948 they built their first home in Lebanon. They made the Lebanon area their home for the next 50 years where they raised 4 children. They moved to Medford in 1998 to be near two of their sons.

Mable was an excellent home maker. She enjoyed rearing her children, playing the organ, canning fruits and vegetables, family camping and being involved with her church and its community service work.

Mable is survived by her husband Vinton of Medford, sister Euna Givens of Battle Ground, WA; son, Loren and his wife Holly of Medford, daughter, Barbara Michaels of Vacaville, CA; son, Stanley of Roseville, CA; eleven grandchildren; and ten great-grandchildren.

Mable is resting in heaven with Jesus. Interment is in the VA National cemetery in Eagle Point.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 30 in the Seventh-Day Adventist church located at 1900 Greenwood St. in Medford.

Nina M. Eskew
Nina Mae Eskew, 77, of White City, died Thursday (May 20, 2004) in White City. A private family service will be held.

Nina was born on Dec. 31, 1926, in McCrory Arkansas, to Julius Ceaser and Willie Marie (Fincher) Padgett. She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1993 from Abilene, Texas.

She enjoyed working in her rose garden, crocheting, fishing and camping. Her greatest love was her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Survivors include her children, Nina Harmon, Jim Eskew, Kay Klippel, Debi Ivie; six grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Olyve June Mellish
A graveside memorial service for Olyve June Mellish will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, May 26, at Siskiyou Memorial Park, 2100 Siskiyou Blvd., Medford.

Olyve June Mellish, 88, of Medford, died Saturday (May 22, 2004) at Hearthstone.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Layton Center for Alzheimers Research, OHSU, 1121 S.W. Salmon Street, Suite 200, Portland, OR 97205-2021.

She was born on June 2, 1915, in Redgranite, Wisconsin, a daughter of Scottish immigrants Joseph and Janet Billson. She and her husband, Dr. Lee Mellish, moved to Medford in 1946. He preceded her in death.

Olyve was active in Medford Lady Lions Club. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Medford and a long time member of the Rogue Valley Country Club.

She enjoyed gardening and travel.

Survivors include: a brother, Robert Billson of Redding, CA; daughter Sharon Will and husband Bill of Reedsport, OR; son Lee Mellish Jr., and his wife Susan of Veradale, WA; grandchildren, Debbie Hineline of Medford, Pam Makemson of Chehalis, WA, Cheryl Kuehn of Bandon, OR, Scott Mellish of Meza, AZ, Rick Mellish of San Antonio, TX, and Lisa McCallum of San Diego, CA; eight great-grandchildren, Jeffrey Hineline, Chelsea Hineline, Collin Kuehn, Ryan Vieth, Madison McCallum, Devan McCallum, Casey Mellish, and Sean Mellish. She was preceded in death by her husband Dr. Lee Mellish and a sister Dorothy Benedict.

Arrangements: Perl Funeral Home, Medford.

Ruth Eleanor Brostad
A Celebration of Life Service will be held for Ruth Eleanor Brostad today, Tuesday, May 25 at 11 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church, 456 W. Pine St., Central Point, OR 97502. The service will be conducted by Pastor Daniel Beteta, Jr.

Ruth passed away peacefully in her home May 22, 2004 surrounded by her family.

She was born August 7, 1909 in Grenville, SD to Alan and Julia Owens. Ruth attended rural school in Day County and high school in Waubay, SD. She went on to Southern Oregon Normal School, receiving an Oregon State Teachers Certificate in 1929. Ruth returned to South Dakota to teach in rural schools for the next ten years.

Ruth met and married Karl C. Brostad, together they shared a loving marriage for over 63 years. They made their home in rural Iowa until 1956 when they moved to Ashland. Ruth returned to school receiving her Bachelor of Science in Education from Southern Oregon College in 1968. Her teaching career in Oregon began in the Medford School District at Lone Pine in 1956 and then at Hoover from 1959 to 1974, "Third Ramp, Last Door." In retirement, Ruth and Karl traveled extensively in their motorhome. In 1976, she was elected Oregon State Director for the Good Sam Club serving the organization until 1980. In 1982, Ruth and Karl moved to the Winchuck in Brookings, returning to Medford in 1994. She was a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi and a member of the D.A.R.

Ruth is survived by her adored husband, Karl of Medford; and is the beloved mother of four children: daughter, Sylvia and Bruce Wick, son, Keith and Lisa Brostad, daughter, Marybeth and Bob Summers, and son, Kent Brostad. She is also the much loved grandmother of eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. Ruth is also survived by two sisters, Cecilia Kitto, Inez and Hank Clay; and many nieces and nephews.

Ruth is joining her parents; her brothers, Ben, Walter, Ira and Kenneth; and her sisters, Cora and Stella in Heaven.

In lieu of flowers, the family is establishing a memorial in Ruth's name for the Sunday School program at her church, First Presbyterian Church of Central Point or the Providence Hospice of Southern Oregon.

Tracy Dewey
Tracy Dewey, born October 9, 1990, passed suddenly on May 22, 2004. She will be remembered by her family and friends for her many abilities; clear reasoning, outspoken opinions, sense of humor, independent spirit and her loving heart.

She is survived by her father, Paul Dewey, her brother Benjamin Dewey, sister, Amy Dewey and her mother Petra Dewey.

The good die young.

There will be a memorial gathering, Saturday, May 29th, from Noon until 6 p.m. at her home, 2530 Siskiyou Blvd. Ashland, OR.

William G. McIlvaine
The celebration of life for William George McIlvaine will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Saturday, at his daughter's home, 301 Meadowview Drive, Phoenix.

Dr. McIlvaine, 78, of Medford, died Friday (May 21, 2004). He was born on Dec. 16, 1925 in Canonsburg, PA. On Dec. 23 1975 in Ashland, OR he married Bernice O. Mathews who preceded him in death in 1999.

Dr. McIlvaine served in the US Army during WWII as Turret Gunner on a B-17, flying 35 missions. He was awarded five air medals and the Presidential citation.

He had one of the area's first Chiropractic practices from the 1960's to 1995. He was past state president of the Oregon Chiropractic Association in 1978.

Dr. McIlvaine enjoyed golf and cooking.

Survivors include: a step-daughter, Carol Engle, of Phoenix, OR; a grandchild, Denice Maxwell of Portland; two great-granddaughters, Molly and Sarah Maxwell. He was preceded in death by a brother.
