Keith W. Harrison

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, April 27, 2000, in Valley Community Presbyterian Church for Keith W Harrison, who died April 23 at age 76. Mr. Harrison was born Jan. 18, 1924, in Bartlesville, Okla., and moved to Reedville as a child. He graduated from Hillsboro High School. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Navy and was at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked Dec. 7, 1941. A carpenter, he worked for Henry M. Mason for 27 years, then for P&C; and Robertson, Hay & Wallace construction companies before retiring in the late 1980s. In 1960, he married Darlene Bolen.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Paul, Tom W and Scott W; sister, Doris R. Wilson; brothers, Allyn W, Merle W and Randall W; and 10 grandchildren.

Interment will be in Skyline Memorial Gardens. The family suggests remembrances to the American Lung Association. Arrangements are by Pegg, Paxson & Springer Chapel.

Sandra Dee Gann

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 12, 2000, in Gresham Funeral Chapel for Sandra Dee Gann, who died April 2 at age 40. Miss Gann was born March 6, 1960, in Riverside, Calif., and was raised in Gresham. She was a flagger working out of Local 320 for the past 10 years.

Survivors include her daughter, Melissa Ash; sons, Gary L. Gurnsey and Steven G. Davey Jr.; father, Lee; brothers, Tommy, Billy J., and William L.; sisters, Terry Ann Borroughs and Star Y. Martell; and fiance, Glen R. Wittner.

Interment will be in Douglass cemetery in Troutdale.

Elvin "Bud" Larson

A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 29, 2000, in Beaverton Christian Church for Elvin "Bud" Larson, who died April 15 at age 77. Mr. Larson was born Jan. 22, 1923, in Birkenfeld, Ore. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II in the China-Burma-India area building roads as an engineer. He spent many years in logging and later was a real estate salesperson in Seaside until he retired in 1985. He graduated from Clatsop Community College in 1974 at the age of 51. He moved to Beaverton in 1996 and was a member of the church. In 1946, he married Ilene L. Holce.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Larry D., Robert D. and Duane F.; sister, Lorene Rodgers; brother, Fred; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Disposition was by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to the Oregon Hospice Association. Arrangements are by Autumn Funerals & Cremations.

Randy Fredrick Peterson

Randy Fredrick Peterson died March 19, 2000, of liver disease at age 47. There will be no service. Mr. Peterson was born May 22, 1952, in Portland. He was raised in Portland, where he attended Benson High School, then lived in Houston and Shreveport, La. He lived in several areas of the United States before returning in 1990 to Portland where he was a maintenance manager for Oregon Garden Products and then for Waste Recovery until he was disabled in 1998. He later moved to Rockaway Beach.

Survivors include his daughter, Katie; sisters, Sharon Klein and Leslie Eiler; and companion, Nan Larsen.

Disposition is by cremation. The family suggests remembrances to Tillamook County Hospice. Arrangements are by Autumn Funerals & Cremations.

Lawrence E. Trachsel

A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2000, in Rose City Funeral Home for Lawrence E. Trachsel, who died April 10 of cancer at age 65. Mr. Trachsel was born Aug. 16, 1934, in Beaverton. After graduating from Beaverton High School, he served in the U.S. Navy. He drove trucks for OK Delivery System for 30 years and then for Oak Harbor Freight Lines for five years before his retirement in 1994. In 1961, he married Anita Lowe.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Vicki L. Morton and Amy A. Trachsel; son, Bryan L.; sisters, Loretta Spegel and Lillian Nofziger; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Private interment will be in Lincoln Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to the American Cancer Society.

Ernest Edwin Clark Jr.

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 10, 2000, in the Church of Christ-Oregon City for Ernest Edwin Clark Jr., who died of congestive heart failure at age 74. Mr. Clark was born Jan. 25, 1926, in Crockett, Texas. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He moved to the Gladstone area in 1960. He was a policeman with the Oregon State Police from 1947 until 1954, then left to work for the Austin City Police in Texas, returning to Oregon to work for the Marion County sheriff's department until returning to work with the Oregon State Police until retiring in 1982. He was a member of the church. In 1946, he married Billie Jean Mericle.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Tommy, Roger and Robert; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Private interment will be in Willamette National cemetery. Arrangements are by Hillside Chapel.

Cheryl Ann Edwards

A funeral will be at 11 a.m. Friday, May 26, 2000, in Your Bible Speaks Community Seventh-day Adventist Church for Cheryl Ann Edwards, who died May 21 at age 35. Ms. Edwards was born Sept. 14, 1964, in Portland and attended Jackson and Roosevelt high schools. She was a homemaker and a member of the church, and she had been a caregiver for several adult foster-homes.

Survivors include her daughter, Cherrell; mother, Winona Richardson; and father and stepmother, Clyde Sr. and Doris; brothers, Clyde Jr., Carl, Carey and Stanlie; sisters, Ramona and Candice.

Interment will be in Lone Fir cemetery. Arrangements are by Caldwell's Colonial Chapel.

Eddie R. Arnett

A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 23, 2000, in Willamette National cemetery for Eddie R. Arnett, who died May 19 at age 59. Mr. Arnett was born Jan. 30, 1941, in Klamath Falls. He attended Grant Union High School in John Day. He served in the U.S. Air Force for 24 years until retiring in 1984. He then worked for the U.S. Defense Department as a real estate specialist in various locations, including his last assignment in Teagu, South Korea. He moved to Beaverton in March. In 1982, he married Hye Kyong.

Survivors include his wife; son, Chet; daughters, Deanna Gwyn and Vicki Borkman; sisters, Jaque Garnett and Barbara Williams; and four grandchildren.

Arrangements are by Mt. Scott Funeral Home.

Raymond Adam Fletcher

A funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday, May 21, 2000, in Finley's Sunset Hills Mortuary for Raymond Adam "Ray" Fletcher, who died May 15 at age 86. Mr. Fletcher was born May 11, 1914, in Klein, Mont., and was raised in Portland. He graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1932, and joined the Portland Police Bureau in 1940. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army. After the war, he re„turned to the Police Bureau, where he continued until his retirement in 1966. He also operated an outboard motor repair business out of his home. Until about 10 years ago, he served on the board of the Portland Retired Police and Widows Associa„tion. He moved to Albany in 1997. In 1937, he married Dorothy Brown.

Survivors include his wife; son, Ste„phen A.; daughter, Dot Johnson; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Interment will be in Sunset Hills Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to Willamette Valley Hospice, 2700 Market St. N.E., Salem, OR 97301.

Donna Grace Daugherty

Donna Grace Daugherty died May 13, 2000, at age 81. A memorial service was held. Mrs. Daugherty was born Aug. 24, 1918, in Seattle and moved to Portland as a teen-ager. Her maiden name was Roisom. She was a graduate of Franklin High School. She was an office manager for the Oregon Liquor Commission for 24 years, until she became disabled. In 1939, she married Dexter Daugherty; he died in 1977.

Survivors include her brother, Bill; nephews; and a niece.

Interment was in Portland Memorial Mausoleum. Arrangements are by Portland Memorial Funeral Home.

Charles Norman Gold

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 16, 2000, in Agnes Flanagan Chapel at Lewis & Clark College for Charles Norman Gold, who died Oct. 9 at age 65. Mr. Gold was born March 3, 1935, in Los Angeles, where he was raised. He served in the U.S. Navy. He moved to Portland in 1973 and was an electronic engineer for Tektonix for about 20 years and later for Intel for several years. He was a member of the Baha'i Faith.

Survivors include his daughter, Michele Lageson; sons, Michael and Matthew C.; and two grandchildren.

Interment will be in River View cemetery. The family suggests remembrances to the American Cancer Society. Arrangements are by Young's Funeral Home.

Betty Ruth Hopp

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 14, 2000, in Attrell's Newberg Funeral Chapel for Betty Ruth Hopp, who died Oct. 10 of emphysema at age 72. Mrs. Hopp was born Jan. 20, 1928, in Fort Benton, Mont. Her maiden name was Semenza. She grew up in Idaho and lived in Seattle and Sutherlin before settling in Newberg in 1958. There, she and her husband have owned the Hopp Insurance Agency for more than 30 years. She married Ray Hopp in 1948.

Survivors include her husband; sons, Allan and Randy; sister, Kathryn Shipp; and a grandchild.

Private interment will be in Valley View Memorial Park in Newberg. The family suggests remembrances to the American Cancer Society.

Ann M. Baker

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 17, 2000, in St. John Lutheran Church in Vancouver, Wash., for Ann M. Baker, who died Oct. 8 of cancer at age 83. Mrs. Baker was born Oct. 5, 1917, in La Grande. Her maiden name was Schiffner. She moved to Walla Walla as a child and was raised there. She graduated from St. Mary's Hospital Nursing School in Walla Walla. She moved to Vancouver in 1966 and was a registered nurse at Memorial Hospital until her retirement in 1984. She was a member of the church. She married Howard Baker in 1940.

Survivors include her husband; son, Randal G.; sister, Eileen Anderson; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Disposition was by cremation. Private interment will be in Mountain View cemetery in Walla Walla. The family suggests remembrances to Kaiser Hospice. Arrangements are by Hamilton-Mylan Funeral Home in Vancouver.
