Frederick W. Nolan
A Mass of Christian burial will be at noon Tuesday, April 10, 2001, in St. Ignatius Catholic Church for Frederick W. Nolan, who died April 6 at age 85.
Mr. Nolan was born Dec. 13, 1915, in Chicago. He served in the U.S. Army Air Forces during World War II in the North Atlantic and Pacific. He graduated from the University of Illinois and was a senior engineer for Pacific Telephone in Pasadena, Calif., for more than 34 years until retiring in 1980, when he moved to Waldport. He moved to Portland about five months ago. In 1943, he married
Ann C. Sheehy.
Survivors include his wife; daughters, Sheila Nolan-Lynch, Nancy Cunniffe and Katie Foley; sons, Patrick, Matthew and Mike; 16 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Douglas A. Procter
A graveside service will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday, April 10, 2001, in Valley View Memorial Park in Newberg for Douglas A. Procter, who died April 6 at age 87.
Mr. Procter was born June 26, 1913, in Vancouver, British Columbia. He moved to Portland as an infant and later attended Benson High School. He was a delivery driver and supervisor for Continental Baking Co. until retiring in 1975. In 1936, he married
Marjory Simon.
Survivors include his wife; son, John D; daughter, Caralee Ann Smith; three grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Cindy Marie Reeves
A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2001, in Mt. Scott Funeral Home for Cindy Marie Reeves, who died April 5 at age 45.
Mrs. Reeves was born Cindy Marie Demagalski on May 26, 1955, in Oakridge. She graduated from Clackamas High School. She worked for several restaurants, including Shari's and Lyon's, as a waitress and later as a manager, for more than 20 years. In 1974, she married
John Reeves.
Survivors include her husband; daughters, Heidi and Heather; sons, Gerald and Chris; mother, Betty Demagalski; grandfather, David Klippstein; sisters, Toni Paylor and Renee Demagalski-Mehrwein; brothers, Frank Demagalski, Mike Demagalski and Jim Demagalski; and three grandchildren.
Frederick Theodore Roufs
Frederick Theodore Roufs died April 3, 2001, at age 79.
Mr. Roufs was born July 22, 1921, in Tacoma. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard during World War II. He moved to Portland in 1950 and was a truck driver for True Value Hardware until his retirement in 1978. In 2000, he moved to Ocean Springs, Miss. In 1945, he married
Shirley Murphy.
Survivors include his wife; daughter, Linda Whitman; sister, Betty McKinnon; brother, Herman; two grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Scott P. Samsel
Scott P. Samsel died March 31, 2001, at age 87.
Mr. Samsel was born March 12, 1914, in Goldendale, Wash. He attended Hillsboro High School and served in the U.S. Army during World War II in Europe and Asia. He earned an engineering degree from Oregon State University, where he lettered in track, and worked for Portland General Electric in Salem and Portland, retiring as superintendent of distribution in 1983. In 1940, he married
Dorothy Blatch; she died in 1994.
Survivors include his son, Scott M.; daughter; Kathleen; and two grandchildren.

Hans Karl Schnoor
Hans Karl Schnoor died April 3, 2001, at age 93.
Mr. Schnoor was born July 15, 1907, in Hamburg, Germany. He immigrated to Seattle in 1929 and moved to Portland in 1939. He was a foreman for the Portland Public Schools shade shop, where he supervised repairs of athletic equipment, for 34 years until retiring in 1972. In 1933, he married
Caroline A. Wollarth.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Jack W. and Carl F.; daughter, Carol L. Groff; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Stanley A. Stanton
Stanley A. Stanton died April 3, 2001, at age 72.
Mr. Stanton was born July 18, 1928, in Portland. He graduated from Roosevelt High School and served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War. He graduated from Oregon College of Education and was a teacher, vice principal and coach at Wilson High School for more than 30 years. He then was a factory representative for Tualatin Sleep Products until retiring. In 1952, he married
Donna M. Franzen.
Survivors include his wife; son, Donald L.; daughter, Leslie J. Carlough; brother, N.C.; and five grandchildren.

Raymond Swartz
Raymond Swartz died April 3, 2001, at age 88.
Mr. Swartz was born Nov. 1, 1912, in Grand Rapids, Minn. He graduated from Drake University and was a minister for the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) for 18 years in several locations, including Cape Girardeau, Mo., and later Sacramento, Calif. He then was a high school teacher in Sacramento for 18 years. He moved to Portland in 1998. In 1944, he married
Regena Moser; she died in 1995.
Survivors include his son, Kim; daughter-in-law, Teresa; and two grandchildren.

Manley H. Borgen
A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Monday, April 9, 2001, in Zion Lutheran Church in Newberg for Manley H. Borgen, who died April 4 at age 84.
Mr. Borgen was born Aug. 8, 1916, in Dallas, Wis., where he was raised. He served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He lived in Dayton and was a carpenter until retiring in 1981. In 1940, he married
Evelyn Reu.
Survivors include his wife; sons, Norm and Raymond; daughter, Sandra Van Valin; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Barbara Nadine Bradley
A service will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 9, 2001, in Willamette National cemetery for Barbara Nadine Bradley, who died April 4 at age 71.
Mrs. Bradley was born Barbara Nadine Ems on June 1, 1929, in Portland. She graduated from Roosevelt High School and was a homemaker. She also published poetry. In 1947, she married
Richard H. Bradley; he died in 1988.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan N. Travis and Carol G. Beck; son, Richard J.; brother, Raymond B. Ems; 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

George O. Bridge Jr.
