Clarence 'Clancy' Krohn

A funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2001, in Gateway Little Chapel of the Chimes for Clarence "Clancy" Krohn, who died May 31 at age 81. Mr. Krohn was born Oct. 22, 1919, in Camas, Wash. During World War II, he served in the U.S. Army Air Forces in the Pacific theater. He moved to Portland in 1954, and was a general manager of Sentry Automatic Sprinkler for about 24 years, retiring in 1978. In 1976, he married Dori Lang.

Survivors include his wife.

Interment in Sunnyside cemetery in Washington. Remembrances to the Heart Services fund at Legacy Emanuel Hospital.

Michelle Cecile Malmstrom

A memorial service will be at 3 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Hillside Chapel for Michelle Cecile Malmstrom, who died June 4 at age 45. Mrs. Malmstrom was born Michelle Cecile Desharnais on April 9, 1956, in Lowell, Mass. She graduated from Lesley College in Cambridge, Mass., and from Newton-Wesley School of Nursing. She was a registered nurse for 20 years and had lived in West Linn.

Survivors include her daughters, Kristiana J. and Aimee J.; mother, Jeannine Desharnais; brothers, Denis Desharnais and Robert Desharnais; sisters, Jeanne Sullivan and Carole Leavitt; and close friend, Bruce Nehl.

Interment in Fox Hill cemetery in Billerica, Mass.

Loy C. Manson

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Christian Gospel Assembly Church in Newberg for Loy C. Manson, who died June 2 at age 68. Mr. Manson was born Jan. 23, 1933, in Hot Springs, Ark., and graduated from Riverside City College in Riverside, Calif. He served in the U.S. Marines during the Korean War and later was a helicopter mechanic in the U.S. Air Force Reserves' 304th Air Rescue Squadron. He married Dixie Cowley in 1953.

Survivors include his wife; sons, Dale, Glenn, Ken and Rodney; daughter, Tammie Schreiter; brothers, Leo and Thurman; and six grandchildren.

Interment in Willamette National cemetery. Remembrances to the church. Arrangements by Macy & Son.

Dianne McClain

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Lake House in Blue Lake Park for Dianne McClain, who died June 4 at age 62. Mrs. McClain was born Dianne Jolin on Jan. 25, 1939, in Tekoa, Wash. She graduated from Washington State University in 1961, then moved to Portland, where she was briefly a teacher in Rockwood Elementary. After living in Guam, California, Arizona, Washington and Idaho, she returned to Portland in 1987 and was a teacher's aide at Russell Elementary School in the Parkrose School District for eight years, retiring in 1995. In 1960, she married Jim McClain.

Survivors include her husband; and sons, Kelly and Michael.

George 'Scott' Morgan

A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Friday, June 8, 2001, in Lincoln Memorial Funeral Home for George "Scott" Morgan, who died June 3 at age 50. Mr. Morgan was born Nov. 3, 1950, in Yakima, and was raised in Portland. He graduated from David Douglas High School and worked in the parts department of Honda of St. Johns.

Survivors include his parents, June and George; brother, Greg; and sister, Penny Johnson.

Interment in Lincoln Memorial Park Mausoleum. Remembrances to the American Diabetes Association.

Frank 'Ed' Shepherd

A memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, June 7, 2001, in Riverview Chapel for Frank "Ed" Shepherd., who died June 2 at age 64. Mr. Shepherd was born March 10, 1937, in Detroit, Mich., moved to Beaverton as a child and served in the U.S. Army. With his father, he ran Valley Office Equipment for 30 years and then was a truck driver for American Transport Inc. He married Norma Brailler in 1960; she died in 1982. In 1984, he married Janet Cheshire.

Survivors include his wife; daughter, Suzanne Shepherd-Smelly; son, Stephen; stepdaughter, Melody Cipiti; mother, Mary; brothers, Charles, Michael and Christopher; and five grandchildren.

Interment in Crescent Grove cemetery in Tigard. Remembrances to Doernbecher Children's Hospital. Arrangements by Autumn Funerals.

Evelyn N. Uyeji

A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Friday, June 8, 2001, in Evergreen Staples Funeral Chapel for Evelyn N. Uyeji, who died June 3 at age 50. Mrs. Uyeji was born Evelyn Bentley Nequatewa on July 20, 1950, in Hotevilla, Ariz., and moved to Simnasho in 1967. She was a community counselor on the Warm Springs Reservation for about 20 years and a teacher's aide in the special-education program for the Vancouver, Wash., School District for the past three years. She moved to Vancouver about 1986. In 1968, she married Hamilton Greeley; they later divorced. In 1983, she married Les Uyeji.

Survivors include her husband; son, James Greeley; nephew she raised, Mike Gomez; nieces she raised, Linda Gomez and Peggy Sue Faria; brothers, Robert Nequatewa, Harold Nequatewa and Tyson Nequatewa; sisters, Emma Hatton, Diane Barbee and Mary Nez; and six grandchildren.

Remembrances to the ARDS Research gift fund at the National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute.

John Bush Arnold

John Bush Arnold died May 7, 2001, at age 56. Mr. Arnold was born May 20, 1944, in Detroit, Mich. He moved to Portland about 1985. He worked for Lager Construction for five years and was a salesman for CTI Corporate Telecom for the past three years.

There are no known survivors.

Roberta A. Bambolis

A funeral will be at noon Thursday, June 21, 2001, in Ross Hollywood Chapel for Roberta A. Bambolis, who died June 14 at age 80. Mrs. Bambolis was born Roberta A. Campbell on April 15, 1921, in Ranchester, Wyo. She moved to Portland in 1960, and was a telephone operator for Pacific Northwest Bell for about 25 years, retiring in 1982.

Survivors include her daughters, Florence Rathmanner, Judy Hough and Donna Criss; brother, Raymond Campbell; sisters, Ann Mikkelson and Bonnie Madden; six grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.

Edwin Floyd Bamford

A gathering of family and friends will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001, in Willamette National cemetery for Edwin Floyd Bamford, who died June 18 at age 76. Mr. Bamford was born March 20, 1925, in Portland, where he lived all his life. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II and the Korean War. He worked for Holman Transfer and then Amalgamated Sugar, retiring in 1983 after 24 years. He later worked for Gresham Sand and Gravel. In 1946, he married Marilyn R. Sander.

Survivors include his wife; daughters, Conni DeLozier and Vicki Paulson; son, John; eight grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

James M. Barr

A memorial service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2001, in Canby Funeral Chapel for James M. Barr, who died June 18 at age 67. Mr. Barr was born Oct. 23, 1933, in Hudson, Colo. He served in the U.S. Army. He moved to Oregon City in 1970 and was a superintendent of carnival rides for more than 40 years, retiring in 1996. In 1967, he married Joanne Schenk.

Survivors include his wife; son, James D.; daughter, Virginia S. Morris; stepmother, Cora; sister, Elsie Morrow; stepsister, Elaine Dahl; brother, David; and stepbrothers, Frank Curtis, Emmett Curtis and John Strowbridge.

Remembrances to the Northwest Showmans Club scholarship fund in Puyallup, Wash.

Victoria Jean Bedont

Victoria Jean Bedont died June 7, 2001, at age 55. Miss Bedont was born June 16, 1945, in Jeannette, Pa. She moved to Portland from San Francisco in 1983 and was a banquet manager.

Survivors include her son, Dusty; companion, Bunny Clark; and sisters, Ann Matusek and Ida M. Senic.

Lenore Elizabeth Carey

A gathering will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, June 20, 2001, in Rose City Funeral Home for Lenore Elizabeth Carey, who died June 18 at age 82. Mrs. Carey was born Lenore Mathison on April 8, 1919, in Portland. She graduated from Commerce High School and was a homemaker. In 1938, she married Leland R. "Lee" Carey.

Survivors include her husband; son, Scott; daughters, Sharon L. "Cherie" Shuster and Michele Frezza; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Interment in Rose City cemetery.
