Joe Millard, 82, of Hemet, Calif., formerly of Ashland, died Tuesday, April 29, 2003, at the Hemet Valley Medical Center.

Patricia Adelle Wells
Patricia Adelle Wells, 63, of Ashland, died Monday, Feb. 24, 2003 at her home surrounded by her daughters and her grandchildren. There will be no services planned, but memorial contributions may be sent to: Providence Health Foundation/To Hospice, 111 Crater Lake Ave., Medford, Ore. 97504.
Patricia was born May 25, 1939 to Steve and Frances Antonucci in Lynwood, Calif. She grew up in Southern California and met and married her childhood sweetheart, Larry Wells, in Bell, Calif. in 1956. She then graduated from Bell High School in 1957. She had her first daughter in 1957 and her second daughter in 1958. She then moved to Ashland in Nov. 1964. She had her third daughter in 1969. She worked as a bookkeeper for a number of years, then at the Ashland Goodwill for ten years and finally Ashland Rite Aid where she worked in the Post Office substation until her illness got too bad to work.
Her hobbies were camping with the family, bowling and bingo. She especially loved going to watch her grandchildren play sports. She'd always be there cheering them on no matter how bad she felt.
She is survived by three daughters, Renee Haag of Talent, Cheryl (Robert) LaFontaine of Central Point and Lisa Joss (Curtis Bentley) of Ashland; grandchildren, Elijah and Ariel Haag of Talent and John Uerlings of Maimi, Fl., Jessica and Sarah LaFontaine of Central Point, and Kaylieb, Devian, Myranda Joss and Brenden Joss-Bentley of Ashland; sister, May Dunn (Robert) of Tucson, Ariz.; mother-in-law, Ruth Wells of Talent; son-in-law, Clint Haag of Phoenix; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by parents. Steve and Frances Antonucci; husband, Larry Madison Wells; sister, betty Clupny; brother, Blair Antonucci; son-in-law, Chris Joss.
She touched so many lives with her enormous generosity and loving kindness. She will be deeply missed by her family and many friends.

Jovhanna Rain Dowd-Page, infant daughter of Dave Dowd and Gina Page, died Jan. 28, 2003, at Providence Medford Medical Center. She was born Jan. 28, 2003.
Private services were held on March 3, 2003. Survivors include her mother, Gina Page; father, David Dow; brother, Tyler Dowd all of Boulder, Colo. Arrangement by Conger-Morris Funeral Directors of Medford.

Virginia May Bruce, 68, of Gold Hill, Ore., died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at home. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, March 6, 2003, at Scenic Hills Memorial Park, Ashland with Rev. Daniel Nichols of Rogue River Four Square officiating. Viewing is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 5, 2003, at Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland.
Virginia May Bruce was born Jan. 10, 1935 in Huntington, W. Va., daughter to Floyd and Lucille (Allie) Pauley. She lived in the Rogue Valley for fourteen years moving from West Covina, Calif.
She graduated from Chesepeake High School, Chesepeake, Ohio.
On Oct. 21, 1955 in Santa Ana, Calif., she married Dallas who survives. She worked as a homemaker. Her hobbies included gardening, cooking and reading.
Survivors include her husband, Dallas of Gold Hill, Ore.; daughter, Sandra K. Villa of Gold Hill; sons, David L. Bruce of Ontario, Calif. and Daniel L. Bruce of Berthoud, Colo.; sisters Rosemary Dennison of Zion, Ill. and Betty Gue of Chester, Va. and Juanita Smoot of Procterville, Ohio ;brothers, Richard Pauley of Rome, Ohio and William Pauley of Chesepeake, Ohio; five grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. Virginia was preceded in death by her brother, James Pauley.
Robert W. Soderholm
A memorial service for Robert W. Soderholm will be 2 p.m. Thursday, March 6, 2003, at the Litwiller-Simonsen Funeral Home, Ashland. Officiating will be Pastor Dwayne Robinson of the Ashland First Baptist Church. Inurnment will be at the Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Ore.
Mr. Soderholm, 87, of Ashland, died Sunday, March 2, 2003 at an Ashland foster home. He was born May 26, 1915 at Fergus Falls, Minn. at the son of Minnie and Hjalmar Soderholm. In October of 1941 in Minnesota, he married the former Ethel Pearl Smith who survives.
During World War II, Mr. Soderholm served in the United States Army. He worked for many years in the payroll department for Hughes Aircraft in Colver City, Calif. and retired in 1980.
Mr. Soderholm was a member of the Ashland First Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Ethel Soderholm of Ashland and his sister-in-law, Tillie Austad of Ashland.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders Association, Inc., Southern Oregon Chapter, 2860 State St., Medford, Ore. 97501.
